Locking dataslice at runtime.

Hi,
   is anyone here has knowledge on activating and deactivating Dataslice at runtime.
thanks,
Tara

Hi Tara,
  This question looks interesting.
  Yes , this can be possible with ABAP grids.
Thanks

  • Error in BSP runtime repository: "Not possible to lock runtime repository"

    Hi,
    When I tried to change runtime repository of a component BT120H_CPL, in BSP component workbench, I am getting the following error: (The component is already enhanced one only).
    Not possible to lock runtime repository
    Message no. BSP_WD_TOOLS216
    Diagnosis
    You can only lock and edit runtime repositories that are saved statically in a BSP page. This means that the page may not contain dynamic elements, such as ABAP source code or page includes. Dynamic BSP pages must be loaded via HTTP and cannot be locked or edited.
    It is also not possible to lock or edit runtime repositories that are only referenced as a URL or that are in the MIME repository.
    System Response
    Lock not possible. You remain in display mode.
    Could you please help me out for the same.
    Thanks,
    Sandeep

    Hi Sandeep,
                    There is another way of commenting the code as below:
    <!--  commented code -->
    This wouldn't cause any scripting comment. Generally we use <% %> type of comments if we want to comment more than 1 line at a time. But for repository we have to use code as I mentioned above for each line seperately.
    I hope that resolves your query
    Thanks,
    Rohit

  • Component gs_jobmonitor: not possible to lock runtime repository

    Hi,
    in bsp_wd_cmpwb for the enhanced component gs_jobmonitor I am not able to lock the runtime repository and I get the error:

    Message no. BSP_WD_TOOLS216

    How can I solve this problem? I have already seen threads in http://forums.sdn.sap.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1948329 and sap notes like 1437186: is this the case and do I have to modify the standard Repository.xml in se80? (I have upgraded my system and I need to edit the repository in order to solve inconsistencies between the standard repository and the enhanced repository).
    Thanks,
    Laura.

    We have modified in se80 the Repository.xml file for BSP Application ZGS_JOBMONITOR deleting all <% %> lines (also <%-- --%>), then we were able to lock the enhanced repository for component GS_JOBMONITOR in BSP_WD_CMPWB and make our adjustments. At the end we have restored the abap statements again in Repository.xml.
    Thanks for your help.

  • Lock Object Creation

    Hi,
    Is it possible to create lock objects at runtime? if not, how do I lock tables at runtime when the table name is specified in the selection screen by the user?
    Thanks.
    Tyken

    Hi tyken,
    Try this.
    Lock Objects are Created using Tcode SE11.
    The Lock object name must be start with EZur name.
    Mainly lock objects are used for locking the transactions, tables --etec.
    Multiple users can not updated the same transaction at the same time.
    Whenever u create a lock object using se11. SAP internally
    creates a two function modules:
    Enqueue_lockobjname ---For Locking purpose,
    dequeue_lockobjname---For Unlocking purpose.
    U make use of these fms to lock and unlock transctions, tables..etc.
    Steps to create lock objects :
    GO TO SE11
    Select the radio button "Lock object"..
    Give the name starts with EZ or EY..
    Example: EYTEST
    Press Create button..
    Give the short description..
    Example: Lock object for table ZTABLE..
    In the tables tab..Give the table name..
    Example: ZTABLE
    Save and generate..
    Your lock object is now created..You can see the LOCK MODULES..
    In the menu ..GOTO -> LOCK MODULES..There you can see the ENQUEUE and DEQUEUE function
    The example is as follws:
    EPORT ZLOCK_UNLOCK
    MESSAGE-ID ZBDC.
    TABLES ZSTUD.

  • Flash builder 4.7 throwing errors for no reason - is there a fix?

    Hello,
    I am using FB4.7, right now on an AS project. For some reason, FB has started "locking up" on runtime errors. Meaning, if I run a code with an error, then fix the error, FB still reports an issue at that line, even if the line is blank.
    In the attached image, you can see that I am getting a 1009 Error on the second reference to a variable that has been declared directly above - obviously a bs error.  I had a chunk of code there before, that did have the error, but I am still getting the Error, can't test, compile, etc.
    Very frustrating, no idea what is causing this!!! Thanks for any input!
    FB 4.7 Win7

    Looks like its dying on the first line of code in that method. Try checking:
    The methods parameters - perhaps compiler doesn't like TextFormat defaulting to null
       Or perhaps you're using that default null param and its biting you but misreporting the line number.
       Seems like I might have had problems in the past with params, but I think it was with assigning null to a callback function param.
          Instead I had it default to an empty class method called NullMethod, or some such.
    Other ideas, although these usually apply to compile time errors and not runtime:
    Import statements - are you missing one?
    Access modifiers - is something trying to call this method that doesn't have access?
    Check for syntax errors higher in the file.

  • BAPI "BAPI_BUPA_ADDRESS_REMOVE"

    Hi,
       When i use this bapi BAPI_BUPA_ADDRESS_REMOVE to delete one address it is working fine but when i use it in a loop to delete multiple addresses, after the first address it somehow locks the corresponding table and i cannot delete further entries. Can anyone suggest any way to release this table lock dynamically at runtime.
    Table Name: BUT020.
    Code Sample:-
    **Start of loop.
      CALL FUNCTION 'BAPI_BUPA_ADDRESS_REMOVE'
        EXPORTING
          businesspartner = wa_but020-partner
          addressguid     = guid
        TABLES
          return          = ret_table.
      COMMIT WORK.
    **End of loop.
    Partner Number used : 0010000580.
    guid value used : 4612F693168438D2E1000000C0A8C826.
    Error Shown:-
    System ID....   RD1
    Client.......   380
    User.....   BHUSHAK
    Transaction..   SE38

    Can anyone suggest something? I have confirmed for the duplicacy of records. The businesspartner can be duplicate but the address guid can never be. And thats my requirement, to delete multiple adresses for a particular businesspartner retaining only one address for a businesspartner.

  • Runtime.exec not releasing lock on files

    Hi,
    I am using Runtime.exec to launch an external application, a batch file that runs a java program and generates a pdf file on disk. The Runtime.exec is called from inside the callback function of a toolbar button in my UI. Once, the runtime.exec returns, I popup a alert saying "pdf generated successfully". However, when I try to open the pdf that has been generated, I get a message saying the "program is in use by another program" or some such message. Only when I quit my GUI application, Iam able to open the pdf file using acrobat reader.
    Can someone tell me how to solve this problem. I have tried doing proc.waitFor() etc.
    Cheers,
    vidyut

    You can try some of sysinternals tools to look through file sharing information and decide what process is locked file.
    PS Try to ensure that you start java in same process as batch file executes, overthise you just can't ensure it terminates on time.

  • How to lock with Dataslice by exit

    Hello,
    BPS system release : 3.1B
    I need to know how lock data with dataslice by using a exit function.
    I created two exit function to a activate end deactivate a dataslice and a copy function to put may data in a validation status.
    Execution order :
    - deactivate dataslice
    - copy function to put data in
    - activate dataslice
    When I tested those functions in previous order, in my planning level, my copy function doesn't work.It works only when I save model, leave BPS0 transaction, reload BPS0 transaction and, now the copy function is possible.
    Objective:
      Put these functions into a planning sequence to lock data.
    Does my problem due to
    - SEM release?
    - a missing function to save model or check to permit copy function?
    - or else ?
    Thank you for your help.
    Ulrich

    Hi Ulrich,
    I assume your exit changes only the inactive flag in table UPC_DATASLICE.
    The system buffers the state of the dataslices in memory when you go into BPS. Therefore your exit has no effect.
    I suggest to use a user-specific or exit variable in the dataslice instead. This way you can allow changes by certain users while data is locked for others.

  • Runtime.exec and locked window

    So I'm working in a Swing application guaranteed to run only on Windows systems using Java 1.6 u 7. The users want a help button to launch a local web browser and point to the company's web site.
    After reading online and finding that getDesktop.browse() sometimes crashes in that version of Java, I use Runtime.exec("rundll ...") to kick off the local browser with the appropriate web address.
    The browser comes up appropriately, but the original Swing application's mouse pointer converts to an hourglass; I can click on the original window and get results but I can't open a new window.
    So I create a short thread implementing the Runnable interface and put the Runtime.exec call in that thread; I assume the problem is that the process is interfering with the GUI thread, and putting the Runtime.exec call in a separate thread will clear the problem up. It doesn't work; I still have the hourglass.
    I read online that some processes require that their input and error streams be consumed, or they may block; That shouldn't be a problem with internet explorer, but I add two threads to consume those streams; still no change.
    I also tried getDesktop().browse() anyway, and in a separate thread, and had the same problem.
    Does anyone have any suggestions?
    Respectfully,
    Brian P.

    Okay.
    First, let's look at the basic client.
    As you can see, when asked to show a window,
    it puts it in a separate thread for rendering:
    public class Client
    // Show one example method
         private void showNewWindow(Window window)
              ourLogger.info("New request to display window: " + window.getClass().getName());
              if (window instanceof ClientWindow)
                   try
                        ((ClientWindow) window).bindFrames();
                        ((ClientWindow) window).setClient(this);
                        if (window instanceof ClientJDialog)
                             window = new ClientJDialog((ClientJDialog) window);
                        else
                             correctSize(window);
                        showCenter(window);
                        synchronized(myWindows)
                             myWindows.add(window);
                        counter = 0;
                        thread.hide();
                   catch (Exception re)
                        ourLogger.error("Client error while trying to show window", re);
                        ((ClientWindow) window).unbindFrames(false);
              else
                   throw new Error(window.getClass().getName() + " is NOT an instance of ClientWindow");
    // Snip some more
    At this same level on this class, I had originally put a showHelp() procedure with a single
    command thus:
         public void showHelp()
              Desktop.getDesktop().browse(java.net.URI.create(<help web site>));
    Simple, eh? But that gave me the hourglass as discussed. So I pushed it into a new thread.
    It eventually mutated thus:
         public void showHelp()
    java.awt.EventQueue.invokeLater(new Runnable() {
    public void run() {
              //windows only
              Runtime rt = Runtime.getRuntime();
              Process p = rt.exec("rundll32 url.dll,FileProtocolHandler " + "<help URL>");
              StreamGobbler s1 = new StreamGobbler ("stdin", p.getInputStream ());
              StreamGobbler s2 = new StreamGobbler ("stderr", p.getErrorStream ());
              s1.start ();
              s2.start ();
              try {
              p.waitFor();
              } catch (java.lang.InterruptedException e) {}
    So as you can see, I ditched Desktop from Runtime and added a pair of stream consumers
    to ensure I wasn't having the stream problem our second poster discussed. Still no joy.
    I eventually replaced the url call with an attempt to invoke a simple batch file which
    did nothing, and I still had the same problem. I still have an hour glass, even when
    the process has been pushed into a new thread as you can see.
    Respectfully,
    Brian P.

  • Runtime Error when starting Lightroom

    I'm currently on day 12 or so of my trial with Lightroom. I've spent quite a few hours getting to know LR by retouching and cataloging over 8 years of photos. So far, aside from a few in-program bugs that I found a way to work around, I've been super-happy with it (especially the powerful keywording/metatagging system: amazing!) and have been really seriously coughing up the huge wad of $$ when the trial's done. But....
    For no reason, LR started giving me a Runtime Error when I tried to start it. Something along the lines of "This application requested Runtime to terminate it unusually."
    So off to Google I went, where I knew I could probably search that error and fix it like I've done with countless other programs. Unfortunately nothing is working.
    Here are the facts:
    --I'm running a fully patched Vista machine.
    --LR worked fine earlier this morning. I had 1.4 and didn't perform any upgrades or maintenance to it (that I know of) when it just gave me the error out of the blue today when I tried to start it.
    --I tried holding CTRL when I start it, and it still gives the error.
    --I tried deleting a .lock file (which did exist) but it still wouldn't start.
    --I tried running the "repair" tool in the install...no good.
    --I uninstalled LR, d/led it again, and re-installed it. IT WORKED!....one time. I was able to run it, checked to make sure my cataloging was still intact (it was - phew!) and even deleted a folder I didn't want in it. Then I closed it. I tried re-opening it a few hours later and I got the SAME ERROR!
    I sure hope someone can help because I'm at my wit's end.

    This is disgusting. I've pounded away for over 4 hours and I finally found a workaround. Here's the original post that had my answer:
    http://www.adobeforums.com/webx/.3c05ac2f
    The short of the story: if I put lightroom.exe into Windows XP compatibility mode" it will work. (To do that, for anyone else who comes across this, you just right-click your lightroom icon, click PROPERTIES, and go to the Compatibility tab and check the box next to "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" and select "Windows XP (Service Pack 2)")
    I've loaded it up half a dozen times and it's still working perfectly as far as I can tell. Hopefully it won't hurt anything keeping it in that mode.
    I'm glad this happened early enough into my trial that I'll have ample opportunity to see if it repeats itself. I'm not keen on sinking $300 into software that will give me ulcers as I troubleshoot problems like this.

  • Multiple Panics, Lock Ups and Freezes

    My MacBook Pro running 10.8.3 has been having some random shut downs and lock ups lately, the latest of which took the internal boot drive totally offline. I was able to recover it after booting to my external recovery drive and running DiskWarrior 4 as Disk Utility simply said I needed to repair the drive before mounting it, but then said it was unrepairable after attempting to do so.
    After the DiskWarrior repair, the Mac booted from it's internal drive like there was nothing wrong, but an hour or so later, I had another lock up where everything froze up and was unresponsive and then after a restart I got another hour or so before it shut itself down and then restarted itself, so I'm obviously less than thrilled with the situation.
    This is the factory drive which came with the MacBook Pro when purchased new in January of this year, so I have a hard time believing the drive is physically bad, though I guess anything is possible. Another thing that has me thinking it's not the hardware is that the machine runs fine when booted to the external recovery drive and has no errors or any of the symptoms I've been experiencing.
    Anyway, I've been looking at the panic reports, but I'm honestly not well versed in what any of this means, so I'm hoping one of the experts can chime in and maybe point me in the right direction as I'm running out of ideas :/

    1. This comment applies to malicious software ("malware") that's installed unwittingly by the victim of a network attack. It does not apply to software, such as keystroke loggers, that may be installed deliberately by an intruder who has hands-on access to the victim's computer. That threat is in a different category, and there's no easy way to defend against it. If you have reason to suspect that you're the target of such an attack, you need expert help.
    OS X now implements three layers of built-in protection specifically against malware, not counting runtime protections such as execute disable, sandboxing, system library randomization, and address space layout randomization that may also guard against other kinds of exploits.
    2. All versions of OS X since 10.6.7 have been able to detect known Mac malware in downloaded files, and to block insecure web plugins. This feature is transparent to the user, but internally Apple calls it "XProtect." The malware recognition database is automatically checked for updates once a day; however, you shouldn't rely on it, because the attackers are always at least a day ahead of the defenders.
    The following caveats apply to XProtect:
    It can be bypassed by some third-party networking software, such as BitTorrent clients and Java applets.
    It only applies to software downloaded from the network. Software installed from a CD or other media is not checked.
    3. Starting with OS X 10.7.5, there has been a second layer of built-in malware protection, designated "Gatekeeper" by Apple. By default, applications and Installer packages downloaded from the network will only run if they're digitally signed by a developer with a certificate issued by Apple. Software certified in this way hasn't necessarily been tested by Apple, but you can be reasonably sure that it hasn't been modified by anyone other than the developer. His identity is known to Apple, so he could be held legally responsible if he distributed malware. That may not mean much if the developer lives in a country with a weak legal system (see below.)
    Gatekeeper doesn't depend on a database of known malware. It has, however, the same limitations as XProtect, and in addition the following:
    It can easily be disabled or overridden by the user.
    A malware attacker could get control of a code-signing certificate under false pretenses, or could find some other way to bypass Apple's oversight, or the oversight could fail in a particular case due to human error.
    For most purposes, applications recognized by Gatekeeper as signed, including App Store products, can be considered safe. Note, however, that at least one trojan for iOS (not for OS X) was briefly distributed by a developer in Russia through the iTunes App Store. That store is under the same oversight by Apple as the Mac App Store, so the protection shouldn't be considered absolute. App Store products may prompt for access to private data, such as your contacts. Think before granting that access. OS X security is based on user input. Never click anything reflexively.
    4. Starting with OS X 10.8.3, a third layer of protection has been added: a "Malware Removal Tool" (MRT). MRT runs automatically in the background when you update the OS. It checks for, and removes, malware that may have evaded the other protections via a Java exploit (see below.) MRT also runs when you install or update the Apple-supplied Java runtime (but not the Oracle runtime.) Like XProtect, MRT is presumably effective against known attacks, but maybe not against unknown attacks. It notifies you if it finds malware, but otherwise there's no user interface to MRT.
    5. Beyond XProtect, Gatekeeper, and MRT, there’s no evidence of any benefit from other automated protection against malware. The first and best line of defense is always your own intelligence. With the possible exception of Java exploits, all known malware circulating on the Internet that affects a fully-updated installation of OS X 10.6 or later takes the form of so-called "trojan horses," which can only have an effect if the victim is duped into running them. The threat therefore amounts to a battle of wits between you and the malware attacker. If you're smarter than he thinks you are, you'll win.
    That means, in practice, that you never use software that comes from an untrustworthy source, or that does something inherently untrustworthy. How do you know what is trustworthy?
    Any website that prompts you to install a “codec,” “plug-in,” "player," "extractor," or “certificate” that comes from that same site, or an unknown one, is untrustworthy.
    A web operator who tells you that you have a “virus,” or that anything else is wrong with your computer, or that you have won a prize in a contest you never entered, is trying to commit a crime with you as the victim. (Some reputable websites did legitimately warn visitors who were infected with the "DNSChanger" malware. That exception to this rule no longer applies.)
    Pirated copies or "cracks" of commercial software, no matter where they come from, are unsafe.
    Software of any kind downloaded from a BitTorrent or from a Usenet binary newsgroup is unsafe.
    Software that purports to help you do something that's illegal or that infringes copyright, such as saving streamed audio or video for reuse without permission, is unsafe. All YouTube "downloaders" are in this category, though not all are necessarily harmful.
    Software with a corporate brand, such as Adobe Flash Player, must be downloaded directly from the developer’s website. If it comes from any other source, it's unsafe.
    Even signed applications should not be trusted if they do something unexpected, such as asking for permission to access your contacts or your location for no apparent reason.
    6. Java on the Web (not to be confused with JavaScript, to which it's not related, despite the similarity of the names) is a weak point in the security of any system. Java is, among other things, a platform for running complex applications in a web page, on the client. That was always a bad idea, and Java's developers have proven themselves incapable of implementing it without also creating a portal for malware to enter. Past Java exploits are the closest thing there has ever been to a Windows-style virus affecting OS X. Merely loading a page with malicious Java content could be harmful.
    Fortunately, client-side Java on the Web is obsolete and mostly extinct. Only a few outmoded sites still use it. Try to hasten the process of extinction by avoiding those sites, if you have a choice. Forget about playing games or other non-essential uses of Java.
    Java is not included in OS X 10.7 and later. Discrete Java installers are distributed by Apple and by Oracle (the developer of Java.) Don't use either one unless you need it. Most people don't. If Java is installed, disable it — not JavaScript — in your browsers.
    Regardless of version, experience has shown that Java on the Web can't be trusted. If you must use a Java applet for a task on a specific site, enable Java only for that site in Safari. Never enable Java for a public website that carries third-party advertising. Use it only on well-known, login-protected, secure websites without ads. In Safari 6 or later, you'll see a lock icon in the address bar with the abbreviation "https" when visiting a secure site.
    Follow the above guidelines, and you’ll be as safe from malware as you can practically be. The rest of this comment concerns what you should not do to protect yourself from malware.
    7. Never install any commercial "anti-virus" or "Internet security" products for the Mac, as they all do more harm than good, if they do any good at all. If you need to be able to detect Windows malware in your files, use the free software  ClamXav — nothing else.
    Why shouldn't you use commercial "anti-virus" products?
    Their design is predicated on the nonexistent threat that malware may be injected at any time, anywhere in the file system. Malware is downloaded from the network; it doesn't materialize from nowhere.
    In order to meet that nonexistent threat, the software modifies or duplicates low-level functions of the operating system, which is a waste of resources and a common cause of instability, bugs, and poor performance.
    By modifying the operating system, the software itself may create weaknesses that could be exploited by malware attackers.
    8. ClamXav doesn't have these drawbacks. That doesn't mean it's entirely safe. It may report email messages that have "phishing" links in the body, or Windows malware in attachments, as infected files, and offer to delete or move them. Doing so will corrupt the Mail database. The messages should be deleted from within the Mail application.
    ClamXav is not needed, and should not be relied upon, for protection against OS X malware. It's useful only for detecting Windows malware. Windows malware can't harm you directly (unless, of course, you use Windows.) Just don't pass it on to anyone else.
    A Windows malware attachment in email is usually easy to recognize. The file name will often be targeted at people who aren't very bright; for example:
    ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥!!!!!!!H0TBABEZ4U!!!!!!!.AVI♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.exe
    ClamXav may be able to tell you which particular virus or trojan it is, but do you care? In practice, there's seldom a reason to use ClamXav unless a network administrator requires you to run an anti-virus application.
    9. The greatest harm done by security software, in my opinion, is in its effect on human behavior. It does little or nothing to protect people from emerging threats, but if they get a false sense of security from it, they may feel free to do things that expose them to higher risk. Nothing can lessen the need for safe computing practices.
    10. It seems to be a common belief that the built-in Application Firewall acts as a barrier to infection, or prevents malware from functioning. It does neither. It blocks inbound connections to certain network services you're running, such as file sharing. It's disabled by default and you should leave it that way if you're behind a router on a private home or office network. Activate it only when you're on an untrusted network, for instance a public Wi-Fi hotspot, where you don't want to provide services. Disable any services you don't use in the Sharing preference pane. All are disabled by default.

  • Regarding runtime error DBIF_RSQL_SQL_ERROR and exception CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB

    Hi All,
    I am loading a COPA cube from a DSO.
    There are about 15million records to be loaded. every time i try loading the data, 1 or 2 Data packages gets stuck and finally it leads to a runtime error DBIF_RSQL_SQL_ERROR with exception CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB.
    When i checked in SM21 transaction code, i got the following message
    10:41:52 BTC  018 500 AMRUKV                     BY  O Deadlock occurred
    10:41:53 BTC  018 500 AMRUKV                     BY  4 Database error 60 at INS access to table /BIC/FCSDV
    10:41:53 BTC  018 500 AMRUKV                     BY  0 > ORA-00060: deadlock detected while waiting for resource
    10:41:54 BTC  018 500 AMRUKV                     AB  0 Run-time error "DBIF_RSQL_SQL_ERROR" occurred
    10:41:58 BTC  018 500 AMRUKV                     AB  1 > Short dump "080818 104154 s0173bel PB100 " generated
    10:41:58 BTC  018 500 AMRUKV                     D0  1 Transaction Canceled 00 671 ( DBIF_RSQL_SQL_ERROR 20080818104154s0173bel_PB1_00 AMRUKV 500 )
    In transaction code ST22 i got the following message:
    Runtime Errors         DBIF_RSQL_SQL_ERROR
    Exception              CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB
    Date and Time          18.08.2008 10:41:54
    Short text
         SQL error in the database when accessing a table.
    What happened?
         The database system detected a deadlock and avoided it by rolling back
         your transaction.
    What can you do?
         If possible (and necessary), repeat the last database transaction in the
          hope that locking the object will not result in another deadlock.
         Note which actions and input led to the error.
         For further help in handling the problem, contact your SAP administrator
         You can use the ABAP dump analysis transaction ST22 to view and manage
         termination messages, in particular for long term reference.
    Error analysis
         An exception occurred that is explained in detail below.
         The exception, which is assigned to class 'CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB', was not caught
          in  procedure "WRITE_ICFACT" "(FORM)", nor was it propagated by a RAISING clause.
         Since the caller of the procedure could not have anticipated that the
         exception would occur, the current program is terminated.
         The reason for the exception is:
         The database system recognized that your last operation on the database
         would have led to a deadlock.
         Therefore, your transaction was rolled back
         to avoid this.
         ORACLE always terminates any transaction that would result in deadlock.
         The other transactions involved in this potential deadlock
         are not affected by the termination.
    How to correct the error
        Database error text........: "ORA-00060: deadlock detected while waiting for
         resource"
        Internal call code.........: "[RSQL/INSR//BIC/FCSDVD_C02 ]"
        Please check the entries in the system log (Transaction SM21).
        If the error occures in a non-modified SAP program, you may be able to
        find an interim solution in an SAP Note.
        If you have access to SAP Notes, carry out a search with the following
        keywords:
        "DBIF_RSQL_SQL_ERROR" "CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB"
        "GPD3UMZD6V4YAKZAIWAOCYLV07Y" or "GPD3UMZD6V4YAKZAIWAOCYLV07Y"
        "WRITE_ICFACT"
        If you cannot solve the problem yourself and want to send an error
        notification to SAP, include the following information:
        1. The description of the current problem (short dump)
           To save the description, choose "System->List->Save->Local File
        (Unconverted)".
        2. Corresponding system log
           Display the system log by calling transaction SM21.
           Restrict the time interval to 10 minutes before and five minutes
        after the short dump. Then choose "System->List->Save->Local File
        (Unconverted)".
        3. If the problem occurs in a problem of your own or a modified SAP
        program: The source code of the program
           In the editor, choose "Utilities->More
        Utilities->Upload/Download->Download".
        4. Details about the conditions under which the error occurred or which
        actions and input led to the error.
        The exception must either be prevented, caught within proedure
        "WRITE_ICFACT" "(FORM)", or its possible occurrence must be declared in the
        RAISING clause of the procedure.
        To prevent the exception, note the following:
    Can anybody suggest on what can be done?
    Thanks in Advance,
    Regards

    Hi ,
    This is a table space issue....
    u will be getting a Dump...as DBIF_RSQL_SQL_ERROR check in ST22. in this DUMP if u scroll down u will find the table for which this is failing. Actually this is like some of the table related to the DSO is not having sufficient space to cary out the transaction. hence it is failing.
    U can also see in DB02--> Deadlock....u will see that there is a deadlock for this table. So find the table from ST22 and ask ur basis team to increase the space for this table....
    This can be solved only by increasing the space of the table...no other solution....ask help from ur basis team.
    Thanks
    Sandeep

    I don't know what is wrong.<br>
    I have configured:<br>
    - SLDCHECK work properly,<br>
    - none of the users PI* type not lock,<br>
    - password to the PI* users in exchangeProfile entered correctly,<br>
    - In VA in the JCo RFC Provider I have properly configure: AI_RUNTIME_JCOSERVER, LCRSAPRFC, SAPSLDAPI_SID - from the ABAP I can connect to this programs ID<br>
    - In VA in SLD Data Supplier I have properly configure bookmarks HTTP Settings and CIM Client Generation Settings. CIMClient Test is OK<br>
    <br>
    I do not know what else I can see, what else I have properly configured ... I looked at the notes:: 936093 jak i 721548...<br>
    <br>
    <br>
    2. I can't send data from XI to SLD, ie makes me a system definition in Web As Abap and Web as Java but nothing appear to me in Exchange Infrastructure. Exchange Infrastructure is empty - what is wrong??<br>
    I carried out the recommendation by 764176 and 1031321 notes<br>
    <br>
    I restart below applications (no effect)...<br>
    com.sap.xi.directory (Integration Builder/Configuration)<br>
    com.sap.aii.af.app (Adapter Engine)<br>
    com.sap.xi.rwb (Runtime Workbench)<br>
    com.sap.xi.repository (Integration Builder/Design)<br>
    <br>
    Can I ask for help and guidance in these topics?<br>
    <br>
    Regards<br>
    RP<br>

    I increased logging in the NWA (Configuration -> Log Configuration) - and increased the some things here to log ALL. So that from the NWA (Monitoring -> Logs and Traces) I see a little more information (but does not follow that with which the user is a problem).<br>
    <br>
    Here are some interesting logs ...<br>
    I was most rash or irritation of those that say about the lack of credentials u2013 I must use Viusal Administrator and set good service ...<br>
    <br>
    What do I have done:<br>
    In the Visual Administrator -> Cluster -> Server -> Services -> SLD Data Supplier<br>
    I have set in the HTTP Settings tab the host and port SLD, the user name and password is also entered as it is in the SLD. To be sure, already have set for the user entered here such roles as:<br>
    SAP_SLD_ADMINISTRATOR<br>
    SAP_SLD_CONFIGURATOR<br>
    SAP_SLD_DEVELOPER<br>
    SAP_SLD_GUEST<br>
    SAP_SLD_ORGANIZER<br>
    Maybe we are talking in this place about a different user?<br>
    <br>
    Similarly, when it comes to tab CIM Client Generation Settings - here's all the same thing done. CIMClient test shows that everything is OK.<br>
    When I click the button: This trigger the transfer of data to the SLD gets the message that everything was shipped correctly. Indeed, I received an instance of JAVA in SLD<br>
    Also clicked on this icon: Assign application roles to user group - got information that everything is attached properly.<br>
    <br>
    By ABAP side, the connections: INTEGRATION_DIRECTORY_HMI, SAPSLDAPI, LCRSAPRFC, AI_RUNTIME_JCOSERVER and AI_DIRECTORY_JCOSERVER work correctly, ie I can perform the test - which means that programs ID are properly positioned in JCO Provider in VA.<br>
    <br>
    Puzzling is this message:<br>
    The SLD data is inconsistent.<br>
    <br>
    Strange also that the message (from the ABAP everything is available in SMGW no errors):<br>
    Connect to SAP gateway failed<br>
    <br>
    And what is this error:<br>
    <br>

  • Runtime exec freezes: exec target is a executable .jar that requires stdin

    I am having a problem with the Runtime.getRuntime().exec methodology in the following scenerio:
    -- Exec.class is a program that uses a StreamGobbler to display stdout to the screen
    -- ReadInput.class is a program that requires the user enter information via the console, using stdin
    When I try to do this, the ReadInput.class locks up and freezes, presumably because its trying to use stdin which already has been gobbled up by the Exec.class ???
    Here is my code, for example, that I run with the following command (on Windows XP) :
    start.bat
    @echo off
    echo.
    javac *.java
    echo First, test the Exec.class to see if it works
    echo.
    java Exec "dir *.java"
    echo.
    echo Then, try to run a program that wants the stdin (click a key to continue)
    echo.
    pause>nul
    java Exec "java -cp . ReadInput"
    echo.
    echo (click a key to end)
    pause>nul

    Added [ code] tags to make the code readable.

    When you call proc.getInputStream(), you are opening an InputStream in your app to read from the process's stdout.
    If that process "needs stdin", that is, if it normally runs by a user typing stuff at a terminal after it launches, then you have to call proc.getOutputStream() to get an OutputStream that your app can use to feed the process's stdin. So if you're trying to have your app read from the terminal (your app's stdin/System.in) and push that to the process you're launching, then after reading a line from System.in, your app would need to write that line to the OutputStream that you get from proc.getOutputStream().
