Locking plan versions , plant wise

Hello experts,
Requesting your expert advice in the below requirement of ours.
The requirement is to plan cost using plan versions, period wise. This is achievable in CJR2.
Now when the user is planning cost for the next month, he would like to lock that plan version
for the previous month. This also can be achieved by T-code OKP1.
But the users are restricted to each plant. So the users in plant XXXX, if he locks the CO version say AAA
the other users in plant YYYY can still be able to plan with version AAA for that period.
In one statement, this is like locking planning version by plant wise.
Do we have any options available for this in SAP.
Or any other suggestions to carry out cost planning , plant wise.

I think you need to go for a Z development.
Create one Z table and maintain the combination of user and plant.
Use a Z tcode for cost planning where you give plant as selection field and also use authorization object to check whether th user is available in the Z table maintained. and also update another Z table where plant status locked after cost planning.

Go toT.code FAGLL03 (GL Account Line Item Display G/L View).You Select the Custom Selections (Ctrl+F1) Button and there In GL Account Line Items select Plant and Click on Copy Selected Button at the bottom and provide the Plant Details and Saveyou have an option to change the layout and select the available fields in the layout. Plant and have it in the line items report, provided you maintain it as a special field using T. Code: OBVU/O7R3 (Line layaout variant for special fields).

Lock Plan version by period in New GL Planning

Hi New GL gurus,
Need your help on the below:
1. New GL planning is used with GP12N.
2. How can we lock the planning for a period.
GLP2 allows to lock the planning for the following combination " Ledger/ Version/ Comp code/ Fiscal year".
Can we add Period also to the above combination.

Hi,
This will happen if we are not initialized the table FAGLFLEXT for planing purpose.
For this do as going in "SPRO > Financial Accounting (New) > General Ledger Accounting (New) > Planning > Technical Help > Install Summary Table". Here give FAGLFLEXT and execute. Now you can plan this table.

Copying One Plan Version to Another Plan Version

Hi Experts,
When I am copying one plan version to target plan version by using the transaction RE_RHCOPL00,
I am getting waring as the target version is not empty.
I have checked the tables HRP1000,HRP1001 but no objects exists for the target planversion.
Secondly I am getting waring also Number Assignment is not for all plan versions.
My requirement is to copy 3 different plan version into one plan version.

My concern is the I have three different plan versions ( division wise) , I need to copy all the 3 plan version into one tranget plan version ( which is not active).
But in Quality and Development system we have table T77S0 with the entry 05 for the Numrg and Comp.
Should I assign the same in prodution.
I am sure that 3 different plan versions have unique numbers.Please advice what to do.

Organizational Management Plan Version Lock

While planning personell costs we use several plan versions in addition to our active version 01. We would like to block or lock access to the plan versions once our budget is complete. Does anyone have any ideas on locking OM versions?

Hi Eric,
I think it is not possible to lock the plan version but work around might be to create two separate authorisation roles. One with PLOG authorisation objects to your plan version with all relevant change function codes INSE, DEL, AEND etc and then another role with only DISP and LISD for the same plan version. When the plan version should be locked role to change could be removed and display role assigned.
Maybe bit more maintenance than just flicking a switch but should work if there is no other solution.

Customizing: Controlling / general controlling / organizaion / maintain versions:
Choose the version you want to work with, tick "controlling area settings" and in the rigth screen, scroll to the right until you view the field "AUGR".
Read F1-help for this field and contact the authorization responsible to go on with that.

Lock one specific plan version

Hi Gurus,
The requirement is to lock a particular version (Cost plan version in PS) when one version is copied into another (For eg. Version A is copied into Version B, system should not allow to edit Version A). I tried to achieve this through User status but it locks all the versions. Is there any way I can do this ?

Dear Richard Antony,
The Versioning in the Workflow is very important its some what simmilar to the version on any SAP Objets like Tables, Program etc.
Here Suppose any change comes in working workflow, then in stead of directly change them you can create a version of them and them modify it. So that you can reverst back to that version if required.
Like wise there is lots of importance of versioning Workflow.
The Active Plan version is also important to establish at SWU3. As all the Workflow is using Organization management which is very depended on the Active Plan version. so based on which Plan version you want to use you can Provide in SWU3 to tell Workflow system to use this.

Plant wise balance sheet can not be taken, provided if you would have assigned one plant to one business area. that too you can see only on business area level or profit centre level.

Financial statement vesion -Plant wise.

I need plant wise balance sheet as per my client requirement. I am usign the business area concept to extract the planet wise financial statement. Can any one throw some lights on Financial statement version. What is the significance of having different financial statement version. If all the plants are having same policies and groupings then can we do it throw same FSV?? i need the benefits of having different FSV so that i will get idea to what should i go for it.

Hello,
Financial ststements can be fetched on business area, profit center or segment level. what you are trying is correct.
Populating business area in tax line items can solve your problem as you have said that you are taking business area wise statements for plant.
Go to
IMG -->Financial Accounting(New) -->General Ledger Accounting(New) -->Business Transactions -->Document Splitting -->Edit Constants for Nonassigned Processes.
In Assignment of Values, assign Def. Business Area.
Remember to make business area optional for that GL's.

PETTY CASH (CASH JOURNAL) PLANT WISE

DEAR EXPERT,
OUR REQUIREMENT IS TO MAINTAIN CASH JOURNAL PLANT WISE. COMPANY MOVES CASH FROM ONE PLANT TO ANOTHER ON DAILY BASIS.
THE PROBLEM IS WHEN I TRIED TO MOVE CASH FROM ONE CASH JOURNAL TO ANOTHER, THE ACCOUNTING DOCUMENT IS GETTING UPDATED BUT THE CASH JOURNAL IS NOT GETTING UPDATED.
EXAMPLE
ACCOUNTING ENTRY
CASH JOURNAL PLANT1 DR.
TO CASH JOURNAL PLANT2 CR.
THE PROBLEM IS THE ACCOUNTING ENTRY IS GETTING UPDATED BUT THE RECEIPT/PAYMENT IS NOT GETTING UPDATED IN CASH JOURNAL

I'm afraid that only a few operations can be done with transaction FBCJ and there are the following:
1     Cash Journal Postings
     1.1     Posting a Customer Invoice
     1.2     Posting an Incoming Payment
     1.3     Clearing the Customer Invoice
     1.4     Document Split Postings in the Cash Journal
     1.5     Direct Postings to Tax Accounts
     1.6     Transferring Cash from Petty Cash to a House Bank Account
     1.7     Paying Cash to a Vendor, Followed by Reversal
I couldn't transfer cash from one petty cash to another one from FBCJ.
If you know another way to do it with the petty cash, please share it with me!!

Object is locked ( Plan ver.,obj.ty.,obj.ID )

I got one message while processing IDOC like " A lock key has been set for the object.The object is : plan version,Object Type,Object ID."...If anyone knows,plz guide me....

The reason why you get this lock error could be that someone was locking it when the IDOC was posted. Or it could also be that the object is sent in several IDOCs, and the object is locked in one IDOC so if the second IDOC is also sending the object, it is not fully posted as it was locked in the first one. In that case please check [SAP note 418212|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/418212].

Error in Step Copy Plan version in Process Chain

Hi all,
We have step in Process Chain called 'Copy Plan version'.This stet is getting failed quite frequently. I just repeat it and the error is getting solved. I just wanted to know that is there any permanent solution for that. We cant afford to getting it failed that frequently.
I dont have any idea about this step. Can you please provide me information about this step and a possible remedy aw well.
The error messaage is :
Selection accesses data that is currently locked; user
Job cancelled after system exception ERROR_MESSAGE.
Please suggest.

This is due to "Selection accesses data that is currently locked; user" , there is another process from another process chain which locked the object at the same time frame , so due to that this step is failing
you can increase waittime 30mins(example)before this Step Copy Plan version executes in the process chain.
OR, change the schedule time for this process chain
