Locking the volume on external speaker

My grandson is autistic and always has his ipad.  He has it in airports, on airplances, in stores, etc.  I know you can lock the volume on the ipad but that is only if you are using ear buds or headphones which he does not use.   Does anyone know if you can lock the external speaker volume so it's not so loud and disturbing to other people?  If not Apple this is something you need to address.

You will need to restore your device as New to remove a Restrictions passcode. Go through the normal process to restore your device, but when you see the options to restore as New or from a backup, be sure to choose New.
You can restore from a backup if you have one from BEFORE you set the restrictions passcode.

  • Is it possible to lock the volume buttons on my iPod Touch?

Something is forcing the volume down button on my iPod down all the time. Because the volume is constantly being turned down the volume square is always up in the middle of my iPod. Rather than having to replace the whole volume down button or the whole iPod, is there a way to simply lock the volume buttons on the side of the iPod?

There is no way to lock them. I would work through the general troubleshooting outlined here to rule out the possibility of a software, although it sounds more like a hardware one.

  • Can I lock the volume curve to the track so it moves with the track?

I can't seem to move the volume curve when I move the section or track. Is it possible to lock the volume curve to the track or section? Otherwise I have to recreate the curve for that section or track which seems so completely inefficient that I can't imagine that is how it is supposed to be done.
    Thank you!

    here, this should help:

  • Is there any way to lock the volume on my imac?

My Daughter has autism and has found much joy in her i mac.  She likes to play music from i tunes at full blast, even at 4 am.  I don't want to take it away from her because it calms her but she is waking up her siblings.  I already took the icon off the top and altered the keyboard but she found the control under preferences

Some bad news here. I just checked and there is no lock for the sound preference pane. You might want to file a request for this feature to Apple.  Explain your situation to them and suggest they add a lock for the volume. I am assuming that you have created a separate account for her that does not have administrator access.
You might try plugging in a set of external speakers, preferrably something so small that the volume doesn't get very high, and/or with the volume button removed/disabled. As long as she doesn't figure out how to unplug them, it would solve your problem.

  • Can the SBLive 24 External speaker outs be used as seperate outpu

I'm curious to know if the speaker outputs can be used as seperate outputs, i.e. for DJ software. I want one to be able to send one channel out the front and a different channel out the rear. Is this possible? I haven't bought it yet but I am thinking about picking it up.
    Thanks

  • Dear sir,i could not listen the volume of one speaker

    How i resolve my issue

    Sanky,
Actually, you should be successful to download it but I am afraid that your internet connection was slow. Just look for the internet cafe that have faster internect connection.
Could you tell the link to download it ?
Anyway, this forum is discussing about system administration. Post your message to SBO product and development forum or any relates to software. The other solution is just contact SAP channel partner in your country.

    Hello Ruth,
If you have forgotten the password, your only option at this point is to restore the iPod via iTunes.

  • I had sound control locked in previous IOS but now in IOS 7 I am unable to change the volume limit in settings and there is no ability to enter my password

I locked the volume control on halfway for my daughter's Iphone but when we update to IOS 7 it seems to have permanently locked it in at this level with no options to enter my password to change it (the slide bar is greyed out)

Have you turned the iPad off then back on? That often helps with problems.

  • Mac Mini - Can I "fix" "lock" the audio output of the mini?

I wish to "fix" (lock) the volume level coming from the headphone/line output of my Mac Mini (version just before the current)?  Is that possible and if so, how?

For running XP software, the best bet is using one
of the available virtual machine apps if the apps are
not highly graphics oriented.  These apps are basically
a PC running as an application.  With VMWare Fusion or
Parallels Desktop for Mac, they even have apps to import
a physical machine ito a virtual machine.  Check their
    websites for more info.
You should be able to import your mail and other using
    Apple's  Migration Assistant.
As for the hard drive and CD player, best bet is to just
remove them and put them into their own enclosures
which can be purchased from various sources such as
    Newegg, etc.
As for floppies, best thing there is to find a cheap USB
    drive, if you can.

  • There is no sound coming out of my iPad. If I plug in and external speaker it works. How do I get the sound to work? I must have turned something off?

I have no sound coming from my iPad unless I plug in external speakers. How can I get sound again. Thanks

If you lose sound for keyboard clicks, games or other apps, email and other notifications, system sounds have probably been muted.
System sounds can be muted and controlled in two different ways: either by the side switch (located next to the volume up/down controls) or in the Recent Apps tray. The initial default is via the side switch.
Check the status of Settings > General > Use Side Switch to:. If this is set to Mute, the switch on the side of the iPad will mute system sounds.
If this is set to Lock rotation then the mute system sounds control is in the Recent Apps tray. Double tap the home button and, in the tray which appears at the bottom, swipe all the way to the right. The speaker icon is on the left. Is it is crossed-out tap on it and mute will be turned off and system sounds will be turned ON.
This Apple Support article explains in more detail how the side switch works.

Does anyone know why its doing this? Or a way i can fix it? I've cheaked for updates and there is none!
    Thankyouuu
it looks like that when it is locked and when its unlocked it looks like this

Have you checked the volume button? It might be physically stuck. To determine whether a hardware repair is needed, you need to follow these steps:
    1. Try doing a hard reset:
Press and hold both the Home button and the Sleep/wake button simultaneously for about 15 seconds and release when the Apple logo appears.
After that: test the device to see whether the issue is solved.
    2. If the issue is not solved, you should backup the device and restore it as new.
    In that case, use: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4137
NB: set up as a NEW device because a software issue will be in the backup.
If the issue persists after restoring as new, you should offer the device for service.
If you get specific error messages/codes in iTunes when updating/restoring, check this: http://support.apple.com/kb/ts3694 for causes and solutions
    Good luck

Clean the iPhone charging port with a clean dry toothbrush. Dust or debris is causing iPhone to believe it is in Dock station.
