Lockup after tethering with Froyo installed

Running into a problem since I upgraded to Froyo. After disconnecting the connection from the PC (Windows 7) and disconnecting the phoine from the USB, I had multiple times today that the phone froze and/or rebooted. Anyone else run into this, and recommendations? This wasn't happening under 2.1. {edit for TOS violation}

Hello keefie9986. I have read your post and understand the issue you are experiencing with your device. You can try doing a battery pull on your phone then dial *228 press send and select option 1 to re-program. If this does not resolve the issue, try doing a hard reset.
From the home screen, touch the applications tab (located at the bottom of the display).
Touch Settings.
Touch Privacy.
Touch Factory Data Reset.
Touch Reset Phone.
If presented, enter the current passcode or draw the unlock pattern.
Touch Erase Everything.

As written in the wiki I loaded the module usbnet but there's no usb0.
Am I missing a package?

Ok, I just tried. Listing all bluetooth services of the phone, Dial-up Networking is not one of them. So the same method won't work. I'm using CyanogenMod though, and maybe I'm missing some setting somewhere. Try something for me:
- activate bluetooth on the phone, and make it visible
- on the computer, run 'hcitool scan' and note down the bdaddress of the phone
- scan for services: 'sdptool browse <bdaddress_of_phone>'
- what you need is the channel of the Dial-up Networking service
- modify /etc/bluetooth/rfcomm.conf, adjusting the channel accordingly, it was channel 2 on my old Nokia:
# RFCOMM configuration file.
rfcomm0 {
# Automatically bind the device at startup
bind yes;
# Bluetooth address of the device
device <bdaddress_of_phone>

Where it fails for me is that 'sdptool browse' doesn't list a Dial-up service, just a few others. But I'll do a search, maybe I'll find something out.

IPod Touch lockups after 3.1.1 install

Just updated to iTunes 9.0 (no problem), and then upgraded my 32G touch to 3.1.1. All went fine with the installation, but my iPod has seized 3 times since the upgrade, on 3 different applications. Hard reset is the only remedy (that alone takes 3-5 minutes).
Has anyone else had these issues? I really don't want to do a reload, and have to reenter all my exchange server info...

I am having trouble with my iTouch 2G 32G ever since I think an update firmware 3.1.1 was added, basically while its connected to the PC no issues syncs ok and so on, once I disconnect the iTouch it works fine until it power downs once this happens I cannot get it to restart, or using the home and power button to achieve the restart no Apple logo appears.
The only way of restarting it is to reconnect it to the PC for iTunes which then says, its detected an iPod in recovery mode or something and needs to do a full restore this I have tried 10 times at least even resetting everything from the iTouch itself.
Seems version 3.1.1 is meant to improve the battery life, I think it’s the battery that keeps discharging on me I did notice only by chance after doing a full charge and then a device reset the battery was on red 10% power maybe less a few seconds before it was 100%

Install or Reinstall Lion from Scratch
If possible backup your files to an external drive or second internal drive.
Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Erase the hard drive:
Select Disk Utility from the main menu and click on the Continue button.
After DU loads select your hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Note the SMART status of the drive in DU's status area. If it does not say "Verified" then the drive is failing or has failed and will need replacing. SMART info will not be reported on external drives. Otherwise, click on the Erase tab in the DU main window.
Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Erase button and wait until the process has completed.
Quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall Lion: Select Reinstall Lion and click on the Install button.
Note: You can also re-download the Lion installer by opening the App Store application. Hold down the OPTION key and click on the Purchases icon in the toolbar. You should now see an active Install button to the right of your Lion purchase entry. There are situations in which this will not work. Repair your Apple software update.
Go to START/ALL PROGRAMS/Apple Software Update. If it offers you a newer version of Apple Software Update, do it but Deselect any other software offered at the same time. Once done, try another iTunes install
If you don't find ASU, go to Control Panel:
START > CONTROL PANEL > Add n Remove Programs / highlight ASU and click CHANGE then REPAIR,

try it with another computer to check if it shows up
if so
uninstall all apple software
reboot
use regedit to search and remove all itunes keys
reboot
resinstall apple software
if non of that helps then try another cable
if that don't help could be your phones connector is damaged

Last night I installed the recommended software upgrade on my iPad after syncing with iTunes...iTunes kept freezing...

Last night I upgraded the iOS software on my iPad after syncing with iTunes. Everything appeared to be be fine with the systems until I allowed the upgrade... After the new iOS software was installed the reboot process started and when I got to the point to restore aps, shows and books back on my iPad iTunes kept locking up and i got a "no disk found" error...Now none of the icons work on my iPad...Please help!

Alright y'all (jklawmd, Supritha Papannajklawmd, and anyone else having this issue),
I was having this same exact issue, and I actually referred to your post hoping for a fix (that I obviously did not find), however, I did discover a work around!!! I use "Adobe AIR" for my "Pandora One Desktop Application", but every time I opened the installer for "Pandora One" it gave me the same exact error. Here is what I did to fix it (Hoping it helps y'all too):
BEFORE starting ensure that the "AIR Program" that you want to install is downloaded and located in your "Downloads" folder
Uninstall "Adobe AIR" using the included uninstaller (Navigate to your "Utilities" folder in a "New Finder Window" in order to find this, once you're there you can't miss it)
Delete all previous "Adobe AIR" downloads
Download a new "Adobe AIR" Installer from "Adobe" (Sounds redundant I know, but bear with me)
Install "Adobe AIR" using the most recent download
VERY IMPORTANT: DO NOT ATTEMPT TO INSTALL THE "AIR PROGRAM" YET
Once the "Adobe AIR" Installation is complete navigate to "File" and select "New Finder Window"
Once there select the "Applications" folder from the menu bar on the left of the window (Should be under "Favorites")
Navigate to your "Utilities" Folder (Again)
Locate the icon for "Adobe AIR Application Installer" and open it; This will open a new window
Once the new window is open, navigate to your "Downloads" folder and locate the "AIR Program" that you want to install select the "AIR Program" and click "Open" (Bottom right hand corner)
TaDa!!!
Following those steps should culminate in the initialization of the install process for the program that you weren't able to install before, and from there it is business as usual (selecting and answering to the necessary install prompts for the "AIR Program"). It seems like there is a glitch somewhere between "Yosemite" and "Adobe AIR" that prevents the "Adobe AIR Application Installer" from auto-running properly when you try to open the sub-program. However, initializing the "Adobe AIR Application Installer" FIRST allows it to get up and running before the sub-program communicates with it. This fixed it for me right away, please let me know whether it works for your specific "Adobe AIR"/"AIR Program" set, if not I will download your "AIR Program" and see if I can't find another way. Also, has anyone contacted either Adobe Support or Apple Support directly with this yet??
