Log File Path

Hi All,
while i am trying to connect to SQL data source in Essbase 9.3.1, it is giving me some error in which it is mentioned to check the "log file". Can any one please let me know this Log file path.
Regards

you most likely want the application log. It woul;d be found at %arborpath%\app\your application name. the name of the log would be your application name .log. You can also view the log from EAS. Right click on the application name, select View then log (I would select the current date) then the log should show up. scroll through it to find your error

  • How to change the log file path in BEA tuxedo 6.5 client in Windows xp

    Hi,
I am using BEA Tuxedo 6.5 client in windows xp.
The log files are created in C:
Kindly help me in changing the log file path and also i want to know where these configurations are set.
    Advance thanks !!!
    Regards
    Bunsim

    Hi Bunsim,
ULOGPFX is an environment variable. Your client executable can set an environment variable as part of a startup script,
it can be included in a file used by the client that is defined with WSENVFILE environment variable, it can be read in
a file by the client executable after startup using the tuxreadenv() API, it can be set by the client using the tuxputenv() API,
the profile for the user executing the client can have an environment variable defined, or the windows registry can include
a definition for the environment variable(there is also an BEA applet on Windows for administration but I think not on client only installs).
WSNADDR is an environment variable that defines the address of the workstation listener that the client will connect to.
Look for where your client defines WSNADDR and add, or modify, the ULOGPFX definition to meet your needs.

    Bob

  • How can I change the log file path instead of storing log in server.log

    Hi,
I have created one domain and modified the attribute "log-file" in element "virtual-server" element to point to the new log file path.
But when I start up my domain, it still saying: "Log redirected to DOMAIN_LOCATION/logs/server.log.
    Why?
Why it doesn't log to the file I specify? How can I change it?
    Thanks.
    Ken

I have changed the logging option to my specific path in admin console as what you said. I have also changed the logging in domains attribute too.
But still there is some logging info in domains/<dom_name>/logs/server.log instead of the path and file I specified.
Is it possbily related to linux user role setting? the Sunone AS is installed and configured by root user. But the domain is created for another user, hence I want to forward all logging info to that user's home path.

  • Problem with the log file path on the Data Logging Control Veristand

    Hello everyone,
My problem is that I use a computer as a gateway on the network. It is connected to PXI in Real Time. I have another computer connected to the gateway to read the given PXI. I am unable to record on my local hard drive using the Data Logging Control VeriStand on the second computer. However, it can save me on the hard disk on the network. Moreover, I have no problem to record if the computer is a gateway.
    Regards,
    Kamal Bouamran

For simplicity, let's call the computer running Veristand Computer A and the gateway computer Computer B.
So, just to clarify, you're running the Veristand workspace on Computer A, which is connected to your network and the RT PXI (on which the system definition file is deployed) through a gateway, Computer B. With this setup, you can't use a data logging control to save a file to Computer A's hard drive. However, you are (from the workspace running on Computer A) able to save a file to Computer B's disk or to another drive elsewhere on your network. Is that all correct?
What happens when you try to configure the control to log to computer A's disk? Do you get an error (and if so, what error)? Does the file path default to a different location?
Also, what version of Veristand are you using? What version of Windows are you PCs running?
    Regards,

    Cordialement,
    Kamal Bouamran

    Apologies for Google translate...
Am I correct in assuming that you have a Logging Control connected to a remote gateway running on another computer and you want to access the log file on your local computer?
    Excuses pour Google Translate ...
Ai-je raison de supposer que vous avez un Log Control relié à une Gateway distante exécutée sur un autre ordinateur et que vous voulez accéder au fichier journal sur votre ordinateur local ?

  • Oracle Log files Path

Could anybody update where can we find oracle log files which stores log-in details (specially erros) when log thro' SQLPlus or OEM
    and oracle service issue logs.
    Thax
    Shabar

    Hi,
If you are encountring any network related errors you can find the errors in sqlnet.log (<<ORACLE_HOME>>\NETWORK\LOG).
But for program related errors, you have spool the output to a text file manually.
    Eg:
    SQL>spool logfile.txt
    SQL> select * fromtab;
    SQL> spool off
In this example, the output will be saved in logfile.txt.

  • Pfirewall.log file not updating

    Hi,
I configured Windows Firewall to allow logging in my DC Firewall GPO.  settings are
    Log dropped Packets -enabled
    Log successfull connections -enabled
    Log file path and Name:
    %systemroot%\system32\logfiles\firewall\pfirewall.log
    size limit  32767
The Pfirewall.log file is located in this area but is not updating itslef.   Is there something I need to do to enable the file to have an updated time stamp and overrwite itself after it reaches a certian size.   I changed the size limit from
1024 to 32767 today but still does not seem to update itself.
My 2003 Domain's pfirewall.log IS updating and it is pointing to c:\windows directory.  Is there a service that needs NFTS permissions on the folder where the log file resides?  or a different GPO setting that handles this?
    Thanks,
    Kevin C.

    Hello Kevin,
    Please check this link.
    http://www.grouppolicy.biz/2010/07/how-to-manage-windows-firewall-settings-using-group-policy/
Before exporting, go to the properties (check the last part of the link), where you see the logging option and configure your logging settings. Then import these settings in your GPO.

    Hi Paul_PMA,
    Based on this
MSDN document, trace files are not created without initially creating the log directory. Make sure that the directory for
web_messages.svclog or web_tracelog.svclog exists, or specify an alternate logging directory in the listener configuration. Please also mark sure that IIS has write permissions to the log file path.
For more information, please try to refer to the following articles:

  • Myrio file path/data logging

The following code shown below is for a humidity sensor attached to a myrio.
I was wondering how could I save this data onboard the myrio, as a text document, saving the y axis with a time stamp.  I know I can invoke a node from the front panel of the chart, using a "to excel", but that alone will not let me control the file directory of the path.
As you can seen i've done some experimenting with the file path of the rio, but still don't have it quite down.  If anyone can help me out thanks!
    Jakes.

    Humidity.vi ‏84 KB

    Hi Jakes,
You don't need to write to text file using the chart. You can write to text file in myRIO similar to how you normally perform write a text file operation to the computer.
You need to convert the result data (from the output terminal of the Multiple function) to string format before writing to the text file.
    https://decibel.ni.com/content/docs/DOC-3052
If you want to include the time stamp into the text file, you can use Get Date/Time in Seconds function and convert to string before concatenate with the data (in string).
I don't think that your chart even has any time stamp data on the x-axis, although the x-axis is labelled as time.
