Hi:
I got a request to send him a FNDCPGSC*.txt for a Notification ID (for Oracle). I used grep to check all FNDCPGSC*.txt but didn't find. How to find which FNDCPGSCxx.txt has that notification? 12.1.3 on linux. BTW, what is notification ID?

Use "ls -ltr" command when you reproduce the issue -- Workflow Java Mailer & Notifications FAQ [ID 562551.1], Where are the mailer log files located?

ORA-3136 error in alert log file(EBS R12)

I have found ora-3136 alert log error in ebs r12 instance Can any one help on this error. Alert log continuously write this error. Below is the error i found.

What log files to clean up after shut down of Vision R12.0.4

Hi,
I installed EBS R12.0.4 VISION on my laptop running Oracle Linux 5. What log files can I delete after everytime I shut down the APPS instance as I don't have enough space left on my harddrive.

Please review the note referenced below. Even though it is for 11i, most of the notes are also applied to R12 (i.e. Purge Concurrent Request and/or Manager Data concurrent request, *.bak and *.sav files, $APPLCSF/$APPLLOG, $APPLCSF/$APPLOUT, .. etc).

Bursting Program Ends in Error with nothing in the Log file

Hi All
I have a RDF which calls a bursting program in After report trigger, the problem i'm facing is that the bursting program is completing successfully for a set of parameters and when again the program is run for the same set of parameters the bursting program is ending in error, i have checked the log file but nothing in the log file

Ram,
Is this a custom or standard concurrent program?
Was this working properly before? If yes, what changes have been done recently?
Did you try to relink the concurrent program executable file and see if this helps? Also, you could enable trace/debug and submit the request again and see if more details are collected in the logs -- See (Note: 296559.1 - FAQ: Common Tracing Techniques within the Oracle Applications 11i/R12).

Not able to compile .pll or .fmb through installation file in R12 Upgrade.

While compiling .pll or .fmb individually using this command
1. frmcmp_batch module=$AU_TOP/forms/US/XXIB_I10_BA_BALEVEL.fmb userid=apps/appla1na output_file=$XXIB_TOP/forms/US/XXIB_I10_BA_BALEVEL.fmx compile_all=special batch=yes
OR
2.frmcmp_batch module=XXIB_I10_EXT_SEARCH.fmb userid=apps/appla1na output_file=$XXIB_TOP/forms/US/XXIB_I10_EXT_SEARCH.fmx compile_all=special
The file gets compiled and .plx & .fmx is generated.
Same command in .install file doesnt get compiled. Sample given below

Hi,
I have tried it, by inserting it before the form compilation code the echo command works , but then while compilation it gives me an error as file not found . This file XXIB_I10_BA_BALEVEL.fmb is existing in the given path . Is it a problem with the userid being given so. As i am able to compile the file individually(During individual compilation i have hard coded the username and password), not through a installlation file . Have even checked the FORMS_PATH even thats right .

Errors in alert log fileand application log file

Hi,
Oracle EBS version 12.1.1
RDBMS version 11.1.0.7.0
OS RHEL 5.4
All of a sudden I am not able to access my R12 system.It shows me 500 Internal server error.
I am not able to connect to database from client either.(SQLPLUS or any other tools hangs while trying to connect to DB)
Although I can connect to database from server.

I tried to bounce the system.
When I executed ./adstpall.sh it took a long time (about 15 mins) and exited with status 1.
You are running adstpall.sh version 120.10
adstpall.sh: Database connection could not be established. Either the database is down or the APPS credentials supplied are wrong.
USAGE: adstpall.sh <appsusername/appspassword>
adstpall.sh: exiting with status 1
But I check from server that the database is up and running.
Please help asap

I do not any ORA-12518 or TNS-12518 errors in the log file entries you posted above. However, please see (ORA-00610 And/Or "unable to spawn jobq slave process " And/Or "Process(<>) creation failed" In The Alert Log And/Or TNS-12518/ TNS-12500 In Listener Log [ID 416244.1]).

Let me update you that we are in process of doing an R12.1 upgrade ? And Our Current Instance is running on the 11.5.10 with 9.2.0.6 ?
We have the below challenges before going for an database upgrade ?
We have observed that the customer database alert_SID.log (9.2.0.6) size is 2.5GB ? how to purge this file ? Please advise
Please also note that our Instance is running on the Oracle Enterprise Linux 4 update 8

Mohammed.Rename the alert logfile. once you rename the logfile another alert log file will create and being populated with time, and later you can delete it old alert log file . it doesnot harm your database.

Private strand flush not complete how to find optimal size of redo log file

i am using oracle 10.2.0 on unix system and getting Private strand flush not complete in the alert log file. i know this is due to check point is not completed.
I need to increase the size of redo log files or add new group to the database. i have log file switch (checkpoint incomplete) in the top 5 wait event.
i can't change any parameter of database. i have three redo log group and log files are of 250MB size. i want to know the suitable size to avoid problem.

Yes, I follow the instruction, set profile at user level, and bounce Apache.
When I log in to application, I do see a message that the low level trace is enabled.
the directory is:
/u1/dev/inst/apps/apps/dev/logs/ora/10.1.2/forms
