Log HR infotype changes without a Mod like Change Documents

We need some help with a requirement. We need to monitor HR infotype changes. We would like to be able to trigger a event like a change pointer and IDOC. However, we are trying to stay away from mods to our system. We are needed fields from 0000,0001,0003,0006,0105. Most of the fields do not have Change Documents set and would required us to create a mod to flag the data elements. We also tried to trigger and monitor these changes in ZXPADU02 until we realized that once we get to 0003,0006,0105 in zxpadu02 we don't know what the person is inserting in that specific infotype, because the exit function module does not bring in information on changes to those infotypes. We would really like to be able to trigger off of a event without creating a mod. We would like to not have to run a program to read the logging files because we like the responsiveness and real time actions of triggering and not running a periodic program. We are trying to push these changes out of SAP.

Have a look at HRMD_A05 this idoc type can transport the infotypes you mentioned and of course you can activate change pointers for that in bd50 (message type hrmd_a)

    Correct, when you query the CMS database it will return the info for the object and not the source.
    In code you can use this for Crystal Reports:
    reportClientDocument.SummaryInfo.(  multiple values )
    This is the info saved with the RPT file, you can also use Windows File API's to get the same info.
    For WEBI and DESKI doc's it does not keep that info in the file system. You may want to look at the file system properties in the FRS to see if any info is kept as it is in RPT files but we ahve no API to get the info.

    When I go to PA30 and  try to CHANGE infotype 0001(Org Assmt),I get the fields "cost center,Position,job,org unit" in the Display mode I am not able to change those fields.
    Where can i change(In the configuration) these fields to be changed from DISPLAY MODE TO CHANGE MODE.So that in PA30 I can change these fields in IT0001

    Hi,
    You cannot change any of the field you mentioned in infotype 0001.
    You can assign a position using action 0000 through PA40 or by using copy option infotype 0000 in PA30. This will be in edit mode.
    Suggested to use PA40 so that all other relevant infotypes can also be updated accordingly.
    Rest of the components (Objects Job, Cost Center, Org unit etc)  has to be assigned to the respective position in PO13-->Relation ships.
    Note: Take care of the dates.

    Just in case you aren't already aware of it..
    If you are on ECC6, you can enhance almost any Class/Function Module without the need for an Access key from SAP. you can insert a Pre/Post/Overwrite method..there are also several implicit enhancement points in each method/function module, where you can plug in custom code..

  • Difference between Delta "Change Log" and "Active Table (Without Archive)"?

    In BI7.0 environment, we perform our Delta loads (the DTP settings under the Extraction tab, there is a field called Extraction Mode and it's value is selected as "Delta") every day among all our DSOs.
    There is a section called "Delta Init. Extraction From..." under the same tab in DTP, there are four radio buttons:
    Active Table (With Archive)
    Active Table (Without Archive)
    Archive (Full Extraction Only)
    Change Log
    Then what is the difference between "Change Log" and "Active Table (Without Archive)" if both Extraction Mode is "Delta" for two Delta loads?

    The new options SP16 has are:(Chk Note 1096771)
    Active Table (with Archive)
    The data is read from the active table and from the archive or from a near-line storage if one exists. You can choose this option even if there is no active data archiving process yet for the DataStore object.
    Active Table (Without Archive)
    The data is only read from the active table. If there is data in the archive or in a near-line storage at the time of extraction, this data is not extracted.
    Archive (Only Full Extraction)
    The data is only read from the archive or from a near-line storage. Data is not extracted from the active table.
    Change Log
    The data is read from the change log of the DataStore object.
    Delta will always be picked from change log table.Only during intialization you can choose between getting data from change log or active table.If you are doing the load first time and are initializzing delta in subsequent data targets, then pulling data from active table will get lesse volume of data then it would have got from change log table....All subsequent deltas will be picked up from the change log.  And when we need to reload data into the data target (which would be a full load) - we use active table.
    From change log : you can take below ones as targets
    1) Cube 2) DSO with Addition as the update for the Keyfigures
    From Active table: you can take below ones as targets
    1) Cube ,if and only if, the records are never changes in the source once after creation
    2) DSO with Addition as the update for the Keyfigures ,if and only if, the records are never changes in the source once after creation
    3) DSO with Overwrite as the update for the Keyfigures ( incase deletions is not happening in the source system)

    Position Budgeting and Control ->Automatic Commitment/Budget Creation ->Basic Settings ->Activate Recording of Financing Relevant Infotype Changes ->Define Relevant Object Types for Change Log
    Here, you can define the object types for which you want to monitor the changes
    Position Budgeting and Control ->Automatic Commitment/Budget Creation ->Basic Settings ->Activate Recording of Financing Relevant Infotype Changes ->Define Infotypes Relevant for Change Log
    Here, you can define the infotypes that you want to monitor.
    Finally, make sure the change log is activated at the below step
    Position Budgeting and Control ->Automatic Commitment/Budget Creation ->Basic Settings ->Activate Recording of Financing Relevant Infotype Changes ->Activate Change Log for Infotypes

    That error message means that your email address is already associated with another Apple ID. It could be tied to GameCenter, iTunes Store, or another Apple ID.

  • VTP change from server mode to transparent mode

    Hi,
    We have a VTP domain in which all switches are in transparent mode. However, several have the wrong domain name or mode. As a result, some errors are being displayed in the log. I would like to change the VTP configuration in those switches. They are all in a production network. Which would be the best way to do it without causing problems to the network?
    Regarding the switches which are in mode server and have a wrong domain name, should I change firstly the mode to transparent and then the domain name? Is there any risk of losing the vlan configuration?

    You write, all switches are in transparent mode, but also regarding those in server mode - i.e. which is it?
    "Safest" would be to switch a server (or client) mode switch to transparent before changing domain name.  If you switch domain name first, yes you expose having shared VLAN information changed.

    Hi,
    You can also check screen painter through transaction SE51. Give the module pool name under u201Cprogramu201D and the screen number, select layout editor and display. If you click on any field, the technical name will appear in the u201Cnameu201D row above. Further, any field with u201C?u201D is a mandatory field.

                    We are getting '0' records while running delta.
                    Now can we change the update mode to queued delta and run and for that what are the precautionary steps to be done.And will be the effect if we done like that happen.

    The diffrence between these 2 update modes are
    Queued Delta:With this update mode, the extraction data is collected for the affected application instead of being collected in an extraction queue, and can be transferred as usual with the V3 update by means of an updating collective run into the BW delta queue. In doing so, up to 10000 delta extractions of documents for an LUW are compressed for each DataSource into the BW delta queue, depending on the application.
    unserialized V3:With this update mode, the extraction data for the application considered is written as before into the update tables with the help of a V3 update module. They are kept there as long as the data is selected through an updating collective run and are processed. However, in contrast to the current default settings (serialized V3 update), the data in the updating collective run are thereby read without regard to sequence from the update tables and are transferred to the BW delta queue.

  • Ring Control changes without a write to the ring control

    I am experiencing a weird phenomenon. My application opens a main gui.
    On the main gui is a ring control which allows our operator to choose the test mode that they want the tests to run in. This basically controls the way data is handled and the tests that can be run in that mode.
    There is another ring control which allows the operator to select the test that they want to run.
    Once the operator selects a test, there is a Run Test button on the main gui.
    The issue:
    The user selects a test to run then hits the "Run Test" button. Another gui pops up, the main gui remains open, but the second gui becomes the active gui. The test runs and the second gui closes making the main gui the active gui again. On several occassions, and without clicking anything the operator has watched the "Test Mode" Ring change it's value about 10 - 15 seconds after they ran the last test.
    I have gone through my code and there is nowhere that I programatically write to this control. I only "GetCtrlVal" and dim or undim the control with "SetCtrlAttribute". 
    Any insight as to what could be causing this is appreciated. I am thinking there maybe a context switching issue here.

    From my experience, this is often the result of using a panelhandle/control ID combination that don't belong together in a call to something like SetCtrlVal(...).  In a large project, this can be challenging to track down.  What I would look for is a call to SetCtrlVal(...) with the panelhandle of your main GUI with a control ID that is on some other panel.  You can also look in the uir .h file(s) and search for the macros that have the same value as your ring control and see if they are being used inappropiately.  Another way is to turn on "Break on Library Errors", as not all the calls with mismatched panelhandle/control ID combos will work so this may help you track down where they are located in the code.  Hope this helps.

  • How can I get my installed plugins to show up in Logic after ive installed the plugin discs? ive tried changing the bit mode. it STILL doesn't work.???

    I tried installing a program but when i open logic and scan the audio units, it doesnt come up. Even if i change the bit mode, it still doesnt show up. I even tried restarting my machine..Can anyone help me or give me some ideas.

    Have you confirmed that the plug-in installed to one of the locations where Logic might find it? Most plug-ins go to /Library/Audio/Plug-ins/Components. Some (rarely) install to ~/Library/Audio/Plug-ins/Components (where "~" is your user folder). Look in both locations and see if the plug-in is actually there.
    When installing plug-ins, if you are offered options as to what format to install, be sure to include Audio Units. Logic will not see other formats like VST, RTAS, AAX, TDM, etc. If you use other software that recognizes those formats, it's fine to install them too, just be sure you don't deselect Audio Units.
    Finally, if you're sure the plug-in is installed to the right place, open the Audio Units Manager in Logic and check to see if the plug-in passed validation. Go to the main menu and choose Logic Pro > Preferences > Audio Units Manager. Check to see if your plug-in is listed there. If there's not a check mark next to it in the "Logic" column, that means it failed validation. If so, the "Compatibilty" column will tell you why. Keep in mind that if the AU is 32-bit, you have to launch Logic in 32-bit mode to see it here. Likewise, 64-bit plug-ins show up in the manager in 64-bit mode.

  • Any way to get Illustrator CS5 to display full screen mode like Photoshop?

    Is there any way to get Illustrator's screen modes to behave like Photoshop's screen modes?
    One of the things I like most about Photoshop is the way it toggles from standard screen mode to "full screen with menu bar" to just "full screen".
    For example, in Photoshop's standard mode, the window is no bigger than the size of the canvas. Why can't Illustrator do that?
    And, is there anyway to get Illustrator CS5 to display the full screen mode where the background outside the artboard or canvas is black instead of white. Working in Illustrator for long hours, it would much easier on my eyes if the surrounding background could be black like in Photoshop.

    At the bottom of the Tool bar is a toggle button (F) which will change the Screen Mode.
