Log in to designer

Hi
how could i log in to designer 6i
I TRIED SYSTEM MANAGER BUT IT DID NOT WORK

You should read the designer instalation guide first. You need to set up the designer repository in your database first, then you'll get a username to login with.

  • Problem logging into Workflow Designer

    Hi,
here is my problem. Workflow 7.0 is installed on W2k3 EE (with Forms and Form Manager) via turnkey installation ( and is on Jboss of course). I've got four other computers in domain. All with XP. And only from one i can login into Workflow Designer. All computers has access to server (with workflow installed), and to server with AD. Workflow is integrated with LDAP (i see new users added in AD after synchronization). And the problem is: that i can log into workflow designer only from one computer. And on all users that have process developer rights i can also log (on that one and only computer). On all other computers i got the following error:

    Hi,
    Howard's first post:
1 - i can't log as administrator/password from any other machine than my
2 - all the machines can ping server by name and by ip
    3 - i don't know anything about that patch (so didn't install)
    4 - yes
5 - yes, they are identical
    Howard's second post:
that is from where i took the error message
    Mr. Style's post:
i compared the size of workflow designer on my machine and on other and
EUREKA, they are different, also i got some extra directories in workflow designer directory (but this is because of using janel trick), so i copy all extra directories and workflow designer exe to other machines and now it's working.
    Thank You Mr. Styles.
ps. still don't know how to check workflow designer version and from where i got different version on my machines (i was sure that i installed from one archive)

  • Logging in Service Designer

    Logging in Service Designer
Hi All, We would like to find out if anyone out there has found a way to enable logging in Service Designer to track changes that have been made, by whom and when.  This is a pretty important issue for us and any ideas would be appreciated.

no such feature outthere, there is a field in the tables that will tell you the time a record was last updated cross reference that to your webserver access logs .. maybe that helps
we use SVN as a source depository for any code. The only way to promote the code form Dev to QA is to have it checked in, hence somewhat being able to identify who changed what

  • Problem logging into SharePoint Designer 2013 were could previously

I am having trouble logging into my SharePoint Designer 2013 since I tried to sign in to sharepoint designer with a test account. My sharepoint administrator said I have all the permissions that I need.
To solve the problem, I want to follow the directions in the link listed below:
You cannot switch the user account in SharePoint Designer 2013
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2738178
When the spedesign.exe asks me to log on with a different user accout, it wants the crendtials of domain name and passsword.
I enter the domain name that looks like domainname\username with the password. I am using the domain name that is assigned to my computer. The logon does not recognize me.
My company is using sharepoint in the cloud. Thus would my domain be the sharepoint https location that my company is using?
When I log into the cloud, I use an email address.
Thus do you have any suggestions on what is wrong and how I should enter the logon in?
What do you suggest that I try next?

    Hi wendy,
You can switch the user account with a domain user in SharePoint Desinger 2013 . Once  log on, please go to Account -> Connected Services -> Add a service -> Storage -> Office 365 SharePoint, then input your Office 365 crendtial
and you can  open your SharePoint Online using SharePoint Designer.
    Thanks,
    Eric

  • USR0013 , Firewall / Port errors while logging in to Designer - VPN

[repo_proxy 13] SessionFacade::openSessionLogon with user info has failed(Transport error: Communication failure.
    (hr=#0x80042a01)
we are experiencing issues (err mentioned above) while logging in to our desinger through VPN on XIR2 windows env. when we try connecting to designer our ports are getting blocked in the firewall.  the firewall log shows that ports ranging >1024 are being blocked (couple of instances we identified it as 1074,1075, 1076 1058,1059 etc...) (6400 is allowed, telnet works fine)
the ports show ranging from 1058 --> 1074 and keeps changing on every log on. (this way our admins are unable to foresee and allow the port no.s )
when referred to admin document (BusinessObjects Enterprise Deployment and Configuration Guide), it says
    -->
Changing the default server port numbers During installation, the CMS is set up to use default port numbers. The default CMS port number is 6400. This ports fall within the range of ports reserved by Business Objects (6400 to 6410) Thus, BusinessObjects Enterprise communication on these ports should not conflict with third-party applications that you have in place. (Although unlikely, it is possible that your custom applications use these ports. If so, you can change the default CMS port.) The Web Component Adapter is not a server. However, you can configure its listening port by changing the connection.listeningPort context  parameter in web.xml. See u201CConfiguring the Web Component Adapteru201D on page 108.
When started and enabled, each of the other BusinessObjects Enterprise servers dynamically binds to an available port (higher than 1024), registers with this port on the CMS, and then listens for BusinessObjects Enterprise requests. If necessary, you can instruct each server component to listen on a specific port (rather than dynamically selecting any available port).
On Windows, you view and modify server command lines with the CCM. The Command field appears on each serveru2019s Properties tab. On UNIX, you view and modify server command lines (also referred to as launch strings) in the ccm.config file, which is installed in the bobje directory.
This table summarizes the command-line options as they relate to port usage for specific server types.
    based on the above information
    1. unable to figure out where to do changes in windows. ofcourse in Unix you have a config file to do the changes.
Any information or update on this is appreciated.

there are a few way to do the NAT on 8.3+, one involves adding NAT to the objects (as you have done in your config). the other involves, making the objects and just putting in a NAT statement into the config (more intuitive to me):
I recommend taking the NAT config off the object, and then doing this:
    1. define your objects, LAN, WAN, Server, etc (with no NAT features)
    2. go to the ASDM | Firewall | NAT, and then start defining your NAT's there:
source WAN, dst LAN, source IP = any, dest IP = Public IP
translated IP = inside IP, source port = keep it 8080, or change it to something else if needed.
    3. now that you have those items, you have to do the "8.3+ stupid ACL," as I like to refer to it, as I think its a bad implementation. Goto the _outside_ interface ACL, and then allow the 8080 traffic from any to the _INSIDE_ ip of the server, not the _OUTSIDE_ IP.
Sorry for the generalizations, but the config is pretty long. the above steps to me are the most intuitive - at least as much as you can get. the item 3 is still a sore spot with me on the 8.3+ FW OS.
Lastly, regarding your VPN traffic, define an ACL on the outside interface to allowing the VPN traffic through, pretending your VPN IP's are traversing through the outside interface to the inside. Or you can enable this command to have ASA do the ACL automatically:
    sysopt connection permit-vpn
Then you have to create a NAT0 (no-nat) using the NAT GUI in ASDM. essentially you keep the IP's unchanged in the NAT configuration line (and it does no-nat). its pretty intuitive with the ASDM GUI.

  • Error While Logging in Query Designer`

    Hi all
We recently upgraded our system to BI7.0, I am trying to open Query designer, I am getting this error "terminate: the BW server has deactivated this version of Query Designer".......can anyone suggest valuable pts why I am getting this??

The error is happening because the bex version is restricted to 3.x in server.
You can check it in t-code RSZVERSION. Here you will be able to maintain minimum and maximum version which we can use for designer and analyzer.
This is done because the 3.x queries if opened and saved in 7.0 version, cannot be reverted back.
check the OSS note 582944 which may help you.
workaroud for this is dont click OK on the pop up of error message. you will be able to work on the query.
the designner will close only if you click ok on the popup.
    Hope this helps,
    Sri....

  • Problem logging into Oracle Designer 10G

    Hello developers,
I've downloaded and installed Oracle Designer 10G on my computer. I've installed it using the installation wizard. I wanted to login. I have my username and password but not the connect string. I don't know what my connect string is now.
During the installation, I've encountered such a message:
Oracle Designer and Oracle8i client import and export tools need to be installed into different Oracle homes. You can use the LOCAL and TNS_ADMIN registry variables(set under both Oracle Homes in the registry) to save having to maintain multiple copies of your TNSNAMES.ORA file. Please enter any information you wish to be set and click OK to continue."
So under this message, a default entry of "C:\orant\net80\admin" appears whilst for field Local, I've entered "orahome" which I assume to be my database alias.
Later on, I found out about 10G so I removed the copy of 6i I've installed using Universal Installer and proceeded to download and install 10G. Now the error message Im getting when I tried to login without giving a connect string is that "The user does not have an installed Repository. Invoke the Repository Administrator Utility. " So from the start menu, I choose Repository Administration Utility but nothing happened.
Could anyone that have experience with this installation let me know what should I do? Im really looking forward to using 10G Designer. If this is not solved, then I'll resort back to using 6i. Maybe from there things are easier. Thanks in advance.

After some heavy googling the problem is solved.

  • Error log in to livecycle workflow designer

    Hello,
I can't log in wokflow designer, i've got this message :
    error
    com/ibm/CORBA/IIOP/ObjectURL
My installation of livecycle on the server (websphere 6) is good (forms 7.2.2 + assembler 7.2.2 + workflow 7.2.2), the connection to the database work fine too.
    need help :(

    Hi Kevin
I suspect the Websphere Client is incorrectly installed.
You will have to uninstall and then re-install.
When installing the client, you MUST choose a custom install and install the "Pluggable Application Client".

  • Designer does not display logs

The Designer (12.2.1.0) does not display logs when we use
        -s"jobname"
    instead of
        -G"guid"
    in parameter-text-files for exported-execution-commands (batch-files).
The logfiles are created on disk.
The management console finds the logfiles and displays them.
The AL_HISTORY* tables and views know where the logfiles are.
    Has anyone experienced similar behaviour?
    Is there a cure?
    TIA
    Bernódus

    -s"jobname"  or  -s"JOBNAME"  or  -s"joBName"
Case does not matter regarding display of logs.
    But console.job-name == al_history.sevice == value-of-parameter.
it does not matter if name==lower(normname) or upper(name)==normname
Designer location does not matter either.
We see no logs when activating Designer on the jobserver machine.
And we see no logs when activating Designer on some developer machine.

  • SharePoint Designer 2013 Workflow Fails to open.

I've been trying for a day or so to get this 2013 workflow to open up in sharepoint designer.
Everytime I get the following error
"Field to load this workflow. To correct this problem, restart SharePoint Designer."
Then when I refresh the screen I get this error.
"Windows Workflow Foundation, part of .Net Framework 3.0, must be installed to use this feature."
I've tried logging into SharePoint Designer with different accounts, I've delete the cache
    %APPDATA%\Microsoft\Web
    Server Extensions\Cache
    %APPDATA%\Microsoft\SharePoint
    Designer\ProxyAssemblyCache
    %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\WebsiteCache
Before for I say this workflow has been corrupted. I have a question to ask.
Would content databases needing to be upgraded after a CU cause this error?
    Thanks
    James T.F

The issue may not be an infrastructure one but involve problems with the structure of the workflow itself.  For example, I have found that if the workflow design has a type mismatch involving variable assignments, this presents with the error above.
Does the workflow implement error control?  Have the workflow designer very carefully review the workflow to find any potential problems.
Also... The problem with workflows is that they do not have a robust compiler or error handler to capture and inform you of errors involving the workflow itself.  The reference below provides links to other pertinent postings on this vary issue.

  • Problem with designer

    Post Author: freshman
    CA Forum: General
After installing BOXI in my own windowsxp professional system, when i logging on to Designer , the following error message appears:
    "[repo_proxy 13] SessionFacade;;openSessionLogon with user info has failed(Internal error.(hr=#0x80042a01)"
    the authentication is enterprise.
    Please help!

I had this happen a couple of times... the problem went away when I located a mistyped setDataItemName() or other DAC property value. Which sometimes happens if one is manually entering them cuz they are having the stuff generated in another class.
    That's one cause I've found.
Also I always compile what I have before going into Design View to make sure the code is OK.

  • Client UI design-time error in 9.0.2.829

I'm getting errors in the UI Editor's log window while designing an application. It has occurred in two distinct situations so far:
    1. After placing a JScrollPane in a container, set the horizontalScrollBarPolicy property to HORIZONTAL_SCROLLBAR_NEVER. Log window reports "Field HORIZONTAL_SCROLLBAR_NEVER not found in class javax.swing.JScrollPane". (Message may appear only after forcing UI to redraw, for example by viewing source and then back to UI design view.)
    2. After placing a JTabbedPane in a container, set the tabPlacement property to BOTTOM. Log window reports "Field BOTTOM not found in class javax.swing.JTabbedPane". Properties window also does not show new BOTTOM setting.
Code compiles fine, but UI Design window doesn't want to display components that it thinks has errors.

This is a known bug that is being looked at in 9.0.3. The problem is that constants defined in interfaces implemented by a class (in this case JScrollPane) are not being recognized by the UIEditor. A possible workaround would be to define a constant in your class (e.g. Frame1) that is initialized to the real constant (e.g. int HORIZONTAL_SCROLLBAR_NEVER = JScrollPane.HORIZONTAL_SCROLLBAR_NEVER) though it might result in the same problem. Sorry I can't test this, I'm out of the office for the week and will not have access to JDeveloper during that time.

  • Owb design repository

I am unable to log in OWB Design Browser for report generation on Design Repository. I am in a Oracle client machine as well as it is OWB client. It giving an error message, 'Invalid Oracle HTTP Server information' whenever I am trying to login OWB design browser.
I am providing ip address of my oracle database server i.e host machine, port no, user id. What could be the reason and what is the solution?
And also I want to know the exact data for all these three columns.

The design repo is a metadata repo that stores all the design-time objects and so forth.
It is an architectural decision that you or your team need to decide on. There are many flexible ways to architect an OWB infrastructure.
Also, your repository users will be using the design repository on the the other DB instance to do their design work...potentially less people always hitting the target database all the time.
