    Hi huihuang,
    It seems there is some issue with your publishsettings file, could you open this file and copy the content here? Or please have a look at this article:

    When I selected a Web app in Azure Management Portal and clicked Delete at the bottom, the message "Loading" would hang there for hours without actually deleting that Web app.  I just got started with the free trial.  Am I missing something?

    Hi,
    Have you linked SQL Azure Database to the webapp, please check and unlink the SQL database and then try to delete the webapp from the portal.

  • Best Practice: Configuring Windows Azure Management Services

    I have a 3 Websites, 1 Blob Storage, and 1 SQL Server that I would like to configure for basic stability and performance monitoring. I know I can set up alerts through Management Services based on various metrics. My question is, can someone give me a recommended
    set of metrics that are good baselines?
    It is nice that Azure is so customizable, but frankly I have no idea how much CPU Time in milliseconds over a given evaluation window is appropriate. Or how many Http Server Errors? More than 0 seems bad, no? Wouldn't I want to know of any/all errors?
    So if anyone has some "best practice" metrics for me, that would be really helpful.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
      >> can someone give me a recommended set of metrics that are good baselines?
    Actually, many metrics depend on your scenario. For instance, if there're a lot of concurrent requests or if a single request is expected to take some heavy computation, then it is expected to have a high CPU usage, thus it is difficult to give
    you a specific number.
    In general, you may want the CPU usage of a web server to be as high as possible (idle CPU costs money but does not provide valuable results), but if it is low enough, if additional concurrent requests are received, they can be served without too much
    delay. In Windows Azure, you may want to setup auto scaling so that if CPU usage is high enough during a period, you create a new instance. If CPU usage is low enough during a period, you remove an instance. You may also want to use response time in addition
    to CPU to monitor whether you need to add/remove an instance.
      >> Or how many Http Server Errors? More than 0 seems bad, no? Wouldn't I want to know of any/all errors?
    As for server error, in general you want to get notified by all errors (> 0), however they're unexpected and need to be investigated. But if in your scenario you expect a certain level of server errors, then it is fine to use a larger number.

  • Windows Azure Platform Support: "Prompted for "Windows Activation" when logging onto a Windows Azure Role Instance using RDP"

    Symptom
    When a user interactively logs (using RDP client) on to a Windows Azure Role Instance running Windows Azure Guest OS 1.11, they see a “Windows Activation” dialog box.
    Action
    The user can ignore this dialog box by simply clicking either “Cancel” or “Activate Later” button on the “Windows Activation” dialog box. This pop-up window is just an UI issue in Guest OS 1.11 and no OS functionality
    issue. All Role instances running any version of Windows Azure Guest OS has valid volume licensing key and are already activated. There is no need to provide any activation key to validate the OS.
    Please don’t try to activate Windows Azure Guest OS using your Windows Server OS Key, this will cause unexpected downtime and will require a reboot. Activating Windows Azure Guest OS is not a supported scenario.
    Workaround
    Use the next available OS or any previous version of OS (e.g., 1.10) to work around this issue.

  • Redirection error An error occurred while processing your request in provider-hosted app which is hosted in Windows Azure

    Hello,
    I developed one simple provider hosted app and I published it in my Azure website. I also published the SharePoint App of this solution in O365 site. I'm using Visual Studio 2013 Premium edition. I've followed all the steps to do this work e.g.
    generate the client ID and client secret through my O365 site and updated the AppManifest.xml as well as web.config etc. In my AppWeb project, I've TokenHelper.cs and SharePoint.cs classes.
    When I'm clicking the app from my O365 site, I get the following error "An error occurred while processing your request" which is due to the following code:
     protected void Page_PreInit(object sender, EventArgs e)
                Uri redirectUrl;
                switch (SharePointContextProvider.CheckRedirectionStatus(Context, out redirectUrl))
                    case RedirectionStatus.Ok:
                        return;
                    case RedirectionStatus.ShouldRedirect:
                        Response.Redirect(redirectUrl.AbsoluteUri, endResponse: true);
                        break;
                    case RedirectionStatus.CanNotRedirect:
                        Response.Write("An error occurred while processing your request.");
                        Response.End();
                        break;
    It's always executing the case RedirectionStatus.CanNotRedirect. Why?
    I've checked the method "CheckRedirectionStatus" of SharePointContext.cs class completely and I am not understanding why am I getting this error.
    When I browse my Azure website http://sitename.azurewebsites.net, even there I'm getting this error. I believe that error is because there is no query string parameter there e.g. SPHostURL etc.
    Please let me know why I'm having this redirection error.
    Thanks,
    Ashish

    Hi,
    For a better troubleshooting,
    I suggest you do as the following:
    Debug the code step by step to find the reason of the issue.
    For the remote debug your app from Windows Azure, you need to download Azure SDK:
    http://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/downloads/
    After installing the SDK, it will have “Attach Debugger” for Azure web site, you
    also need to set "Attach Debugger" to on in the Windows Azure Management Portal
    More detailed information about how to debug provider-hosted app:
    http://blogs.technet.com/b/speschka/archive/2013/11/25/debugging-sharepoint-apps-that-are-hosted-in-windows-azure-web-sites.aspx

  • Windows Azure Mobile Services - Sql Server - prebuilt columns

    am I correct in assuming that tables for WAMS need to be created in the Azure management portal and have some columns precreated.  Once the table is created:
    is it ok to modify the columns in Visual Studio once the table has been created?
    Can i just create the necessary items on my own or do I need to go through the management portal all the time?
    How do i handle foreign keys and such between two tables?

    hi Wally,
    Thanks for posting!
    >>is it ok to modify the columns in Visual Studio once the table has been created?
    yes, we could modify our sql database data on the latest version (Azure SDK 2.2 ). You could use VS 2013 and install SDK2.2 to view the data. At the same time, you will
    click Add Firewall Rule and a new rule will be automatically added for you.
    Please see the blog about this question (http://weblogs.asp.net/scottgu/archive/2013/10/22/windows-azure-announcing-release-of-windows-azure-sdk-2-2-with-lots-of-goodies.aspx
    >>Can i just create the necessary items on my own or do I need to go through the management portal all the time?
    The answer is yes . If you want to manage your SQL database by azure portal, you could find your database form
    "SQL Azure", and click the "Manage" to manage your DB. Like this image:
    >>How do i handle foreign keys and such between two tables?
    you could handle foreign such as using SQL. Refer to this page (http://stackoverflow.com/questions/48772/how-do-i-create-a-foreign-key-in-sql-server
    Hope it helps.

  • Azure Management Cmdlet Add-AzureCertificate not working for chained certificate

    Hi,
    While running the Azure cmdlet Add-AzureCertificate against a public certificate that I have, it is
    not able to upload all the chained certificates to the cloud service certificate store. All it does is just
    upload one certificate.
    However, when I manually load them via Azure management portal, I see 3 of them uploaded.
    Is there a bug in the cmdlet?
    Thanks!

    Hi,
     Apparently it looks like a limitation with the cmdlet.
     you can refer to the following link for a workaround using REST Api

    I can login to the management portal, but when it starts populating the services, the page goes grayscale and I get the message "You

    From the thread that you provided, we can see that this issue was fixed, up to now I haven't heard the same issue, based on your description, this issue was only happening in Chrome, I tested this on my local (create a new website in chrome), it worked as
