Log Of NPS about Network policies

Can i see log of NPS about network polices ?  when who delete network polices some setting .

Hi,
As far as I know, there isn’t such a log. Since only administrator account can make change on it. You should give the right permission to proper people.
In addition, you can export NPS settings and compare with the modified version.

  • Log and Transfer from network volume causes FCE to crash

I have copied the contents of an SD taken from a Canon HF100 to a volume mounted on my network. Originally, this was only intended as a means of back-up but I found I needed to capture additional footage so I navigated to the volume in the Log and Transfer window and began ingesting clips. The first clip worked just fine but the Log and Transfer window hung about 1/3 of the way into the second. I can preview all the clips in the L&T window but the program crashes when I ingest. The clips vary in length but that does not seem to be a factor in the problem. I tried this on both a Tiger machine and a Snow Leopard machine with the same results. iMovie was able to ingest the footage over the network without the same problem. Ultimately I moved the footage back to a local drive and transferred from there without any issues at all. This issue involves a great many layers but if anyone has had a similar issue I would be interested to hear.

We just had a longish discussion about networks and capture/editing.
    Bottom line:
The slowest component in the network stream is the speed the network runs and not necessarily both ways. Check the specs of your specific gear.
I suspect this to be your problem. Here's a short extract.
    Networking Limitations:
    * When accessing the WD My Book World hard drives remotely using MioNet/WD Anywhere Access, please be aware that the transfer rate will be limited by whatever the slowest connection is. For instance, upstream rates for home users is typically no more than 512Kbps, even if the downstream rate is 4Gbps.
    * If there is heavy I/O load put on the network and WD My Book World hard drive, it is recommended that a static IP address be used rather than DHCP.
Another thing of note was to use CAT 6 cable.

  • Question Because I Know Nothing About Networking

Okay, so, my dad and I know next to nothing about networking. So we have a question for you "learned" folks. Is there a way to connect the wireless router to a normal router? We're asking because we have three Macs, my PowerBook G4, my dad's G5 iMac, and my mother's G4. We're looking into the wireless for mine and possibly my dad's, but my mother's computer is sitting right next to the regular router, so wireless isn't completely necessary. Meanwhile my dad's is across the room, so we have a cord running across it.
Please, help the needy, not-too-knowledgeable as we attempt to get wirelessified.

Is there a way to connect the wireless router
    to a normal router?
Yes, connect the wireless router to the normal router by an ethernet cable.
Configure the wireless router to NOT distribute IP addresess (this turns it into a wireless access point, which allows the "normal" router to do this job.

my wireless internet was working fine up until now. For some reason, when I type in my password to log in to my network, it says 'connection failed'. I checked the light and it's still showing up green.

  • Not being able to log on to my network

    Hello,
I have an iMac G5 running Tiger. 512 RAM. I set-up a closed network and at times am unable to log onto my network. I have typed and re-typed my password, which is correct. It still takes almost 10 minutes before the password is recognized or I am able to log on. I get an error message such as "unable to log onto network." I recently changed the settings on my Airport Express to 128 bit WEP encryption. Can anyone help me log on to my internet without a problem?
    Thanks

    Hi! Thanks for the advice.
It doesn't matter whether the one downstairs is off or not, sometimes the network works, and sometimes it isn't even detected. I tried changing the channel of the network to something other than automatic and I couldn't detect the network so I just did a factory reset and didn't bother configuring it yet since it's working for at least one airport. The other AE (downstairs) is still flashing amber, though, and I can't detect it even after factory resets and being just 2 feet away from it. Although, I did detect it once for about a minute before I lost it again.
I downloaded the AP grapher utility and it says that I am 60-70% even when I'm just 5 feet away from the AE. It's the same 65% when I'm downstairs too (about 10 meters away).
Could it be because there are other wireless networks around? I live in an apartment and I can actually get on to the unsecured networks of my neighbors.
I am going to try to change the configuration of my network to a WPA rather than a 128-WEP and will see if that will help.

  • Deciphering system.log to diagnose a network problem

ok here goes, about a week ago my old d-link router (DI-624+) just died, wouldn't turn on or anything, so off i went to get a new one, got a new d-link since other than dying (after like 3 years i should add) it had been pretty reliable.
set it up and all was well, except in the pst couple of days I have been seeing some odd behaviour. The wireless would drop out only to be reacquired a few seconds later (the wireless icon in the menu bar seemed to indicate the wireless was still up). after a while this became very very annoyingso i decided to plug in my Macbook using a good ol' cat5e cable. lo and behold I was having the same problem, connection drops, then reacquires.
I decided to dig about system.log and have noticed the following being repeated about avery 45 secs to a minute:
    Jan 13 11:17:05 robin-tibbss-macbook kernel[0]: vmnet: bridge-en0: up
    Jan 13 11:17:06 robin-tibbss-macbook mDNSResponder[15]: SetupAddr invalid sa_family 0
    Jan 13 11:17:08 robin-tibbss-macbook mDNSResponder[15]: SetupAddr invalid sa_family 0
    Jan 13 11:18:52 robin-tibbss-macbook kernel[0]: vmnet: bridge-en0: interface en is coming UP
    Jan 13 11:18:52 robin-tibbss-macbook kernel[0]: AppleYukon2 - en0 link active, 100-Mbit, full duplex, flow control disabled port 0
is this normal or abnormal? something odd is that I don't see the interface going down, hmm. also I've noticed that when I am having problems like I describe, that in the Network pane of system prefs the interface that I am currently connecting to the router through shows as having a 'self assigned' IP address.
any thoughts, i guess it could be the router, just wanted to ask for advice here first, and yes the connection is fine when plugged directly into the cable modem. many thanks in advance.

    Hi, Robin
Look, I don't know if you're still monitoring this thread, since it's over four months old at this point, but I was having some issues not unlike yours, and with similar mDNSResponder log entries.
    For what it's worth, I think this: robin-tibbss-macbook kernel[0]: vmnet: bridge-en0: up
might be what Leopard just can't stand. I've noticed an increase in wifi drops and slowdowns since installing VMWare (which I love, BTW - VMWare FTW!).
My guess - Leo doesn't play nice with virtual network adapters just yet - see also all the threads related to VPN drops and login issues.
Hope this at least gives you some context to the problem
    God Bless,

  • Logged on to my network and says connection lost won't let me open web pages ?

Ipad 2 logs on to network then when i open safari i get message that safari can't open because of lost connect while other computers still work ?

    Some things to try first:
    1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
    2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
    3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
    4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
    5.  Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
        •    Launch Settings app
        •    Tap on Wi-Fi
        •    Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
        •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

  • After binding my MAC with Lion OS I cannot log on to any network accounts

I bound my Mac with OSX 7 to a Windows domain.
When I restarted the unit I cannot log onto any domain accounts.
I looked for the option to allow network users to log in via Login Ooptions but it is not there.

    cor=el,
    First link. https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Web%20sites%20or%20add-ons%20incorrectly%20report%20incompatible%20browser
    Did not work.
◦general.useragent.override was the only one that had a "reset" option that wasn't greyed out.
After following as much of the proceedure as I could the problem was still there.
Of course, I never got an "incompatible browser" report. I got a missing USER AGENT report.
    However the second link: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Resetting_your_useragent_string_to_its_compiled-in_default
was more interesting. I reset the about:config file.
I then deleted my history and watched the useragent files in config RESET themselves to where they were before I reset them. I connected to a website successfully, then checked WHAT'S MY USER AGENT and it showed no User Agent again. I tried again to connect to the website and got the error.
I returned to About:Config and again reset the general.useragent files. After a while they went back to their pre-reset state on their own. Something is resetting them.
I disabled USERAGENTSWITCHER in FF (which had been installed in an attempt to deal with this problem) I rebooted FF and returned to About:Config where I realized any click after resetting the general.useragent list undid the reset exactly.
I reset the About:Config and immediately closed FF. I then rebooted FF. It was as if I had never reset the general.useragent list.
Something unknown is resetting the general.useragent to pre-reset conditions on my next action. I think the links SHOULD have worked except they are not, so the problem lies elsewhere
The "default" user agent is correct....it just keeps disappearing.

  • NI USB CAN 8473 write single frame and log all frame of network with read notification on the same port

    Hello,
I am trying to code an application which:
    - Write sometime (button click) a frame on a CAN network
    - Log all frame of CAN NETWORK
My hardware is NI USB 8473 (1 port).
1/ After reading NI help about CAN APIs, I think it is not possible to do "log all CAN frame" with Channel API because I need to install a asynchronous callback to read all message, and this functionality is only present in frame API.
    Anyone can confirm?
2/ No problem let's use Frame API
I have tried "CAN Receive with Notification" example delivered with NI-CAN driver, configured on virtual CAN256.
I start other sample program to generate some frame on virtual CAN257, no problem, everything is working.
So, i have tried to modify "CAN Receive with Notification" to add write function. I have mixed this source with "Transmit Receive same Port" sample (which works fine alone on CAN256).
My program is running, but nothing appens when I click on WRITE button.
I suppose some attribute are not confired, but which one.
Anyone can help? (source of my modified sample is joined to this post).
    Thanx.

    Hi,
Thank you for posting your question on National Instruments' Forums.
I'm a little puzzled by your question.
If I understood well, you just want to receive every frame reaching the port and sometime write something through the port. Am I correct ?
You are right when you state that the NI USB 8473 can only work with frame API. However, if the operation you want to make is the one I discribed above, I can't see where you encounter a difficulty.
Indeed, for such a case, the example you mentionned in your post is perfectly suited. "Transmit Receive same Port" allows you to receive the frames reaching the port and write we needed too.
I think this example shoudl do the trick.
Or have you a more specific application in mind ?
I hope this information will help you.
    Best regards,
    Guillaume H.

  • Mac keeps logging onto neighbour's network!

I have an Airport system connected to my hi-fi, which correctly appears as a network option. However, a rogue network has also appeared (I assume a neighbour).
I am a bit concerned about security and the like, so I'd like to set my Mac to not ever log onto the neighbour's network, and to only search for my own one.
I have tried SYSTEM PREFERENCES - NETWORK, but oddly the network names don't appear in the PREFERRED NETWORKS box. However, they do appear in the Finder's top taskbar.
How can I tell the Mac to only log into my hi-fi network (or - more importantly - ignore the rogue one).
    Thanks!

Very amusing. My daughter has an iBook with Airport. I'm not wireless, or wasn't over summer when she kept conveniently accessing the internet. Never the tekkie, I assumed it was by some invisible force ("magic"), courtesy of the amazing apple. Turns out she was innocently airporting off of several neighbors (pick anyone at any time); only one of them had put in a password, but sometimes she was limited if the non-password folks had their computer off. We didn't figure out what was going on for several months, when a tekkie's visit discovered it. She never did any mischief, but I agree with those concerned about security. Appreciate the info in those replies; we'll do that when I get upgraded.
I have Airport Extreme base station now, so neighbors are not necessary, LOL.

  • I'm trying to log into a public network and while the fan blade shows I have a connection I can not get the user agreement to load in Safari. This was working until yesterday, what changed?

I've reset my network settings. I've cleared cache and cookies in the browser. Before yesterday the login screen would appear anytime I attempted to use an app or program that required internet access. Pretty much every program. Now I have a brick tablet at work. I've reset everything I can find. I'm at a dead end.
I've seen other ipads that had the auto login togle and auto join togle under network selection, my ipad does not have those options. Logging in at home is working fine on my private network. This public network is not being reset or forgotten when I choose "forget network" or Safari is blocking the login page and I don't know how to un block it.

Well, when I join a public wifi, a log in page displays a few seconds later, displaying the user agreement. But, earlier today, I was trying to connect my friend's 3GS to a public wifi, and it did not show up. So. I don't really know what happen. I think you should toggle the auto Join to on.
