Log off error

I have a T60p with win xp pro. The problem started when antispyware2008 somehow automatically installed on my computer and I tried to get rid of it. I rebooted and when I log in, it immediately logs me out. I have tried all safe mode options, im am the only user, and none work. This computer also came with no recovery disks, were they forgotten in shipment?. I have tried using another win xp cd and when I do system recovery, it says it can not detect any drives. The thinkvantage bootup seems completely useless, there is nothing in there that helps with this problem as far as I can tell. Im completely lost, anyone have any ideas? I forgot to add, when I do log in, it asks me to chose a program to run br_funcs.exe. It just about logs off to fast for me to select anything.

hello
you have to make recovery cds when you first get ur system..they are not shipped with it....
Br_funcs.exe is a component of Rescue and Recovery. When the backup process runs, br_funcs.exe will be listed in the process list and will use a considerable portion of the processor. A backup will start without user intervention if regular backups have been scheduled by an administrator. Rescue and Recovery 3 schedules weekly backups by default.
if you have the latest version of ULTIMATE BOOT CD you may have the option of running a virus scan to remove any malware if found
Cheers and regards,

  • Log off errors

    Hi,
         Every time we logoff from the Portal.HTTP 500 errors appear in the Logs.Is there any solution to this?
    Regards
    Imran

    Hi Imran,
    The HTTP 500 error is a generic error message that Internet Explorer passes out to you when the browser finds no useful information or due to an internal server error.
    To get the details of the error check (Show friendly HTTP error messages) in the advanced options in your browser. In Portal this is handled by the web.xml file of the portalapp. This errors can be  customized as well. Refer the below link.
    [Customizing Error Messages in Portal|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/wiki?path=/display/ep/customizing%252berror%252bmessages%252bin%252bportal]
    Check your log configurations for the same.
    Also check whether any external events are occurring in your logoff method.

  • OEM - errors and logs off automatically

    I am using OEM 10.2.0.3.0 - with Adobe SVG 3.0, Windows Vista and Java jdk 6 update 17 - the problem that I am having is OEM will log off with this error --> unrecognized DOCTYPE declaration Image might not display correctly.
    Does anyone know how I can resolve this issue - I get log off abruptly about three times per day.
    My co_workers are using the same setup except they have java jdk 6 update 7 and don't have the issue.
    Edited by: user10449670 on Mar 18, 2010 8:50 AM

    I have changed all my environment to match my co-workers - IE Version 8.0.6001.18882, adobe svg 3.0, flash player W 10,0.45,2 JDK 6 up 7, OEM grid 10.2.0.3.0 The only things that I changed from my co-workers is I updated my flash player version and went from jdk 6 update 17 to 7. I am not getting the unrecognized doctype now but it is logging me off of grid when I exit MS sharepoint in my browser. It seems to have settled down the issues with automatically logging me off multiple times during the day. In the future with the latest update of sql developer I will be needing to update my jdk version 11 or greater. Any ideas on what esle I need to check?

  • Run time error occured while clicking the Log off

    Hello Experts,
    I have customized masthead file. In the masthead, when i click the log off link, the pop-up window will showing the Runtime error message. Its not working properly. I didnt make any changes in log off method. I traced the error,
    <%if (!isPreview){%>
              if (EPCM.getUAType() == EPCM.MSIE)
                   if(EPCM.getGlobalDirty())
                         // unsaved data on the page, display modified dialog
                        var val = window.showModalDialog('<%=GetLogoffConfirmUnsavedMsgURL(componentRequest)%>', '', '<%=LOGOFF_CONFIRM_MSG_ARGS_IE%>');
                        if (val == 'logoff')
                             disableWorkProtectCheck = true;
                             logoff();
                   else //no unsaved data
                        // data saved, nothing get lost on the page, display normal dialog
                      var val = window.showModalDialog('<%=GetLogoffConfirmMsgURL(componentRequest)%>', '', '<%=LOGOFF_CONFIRM_MSG_ARGS_IE%>');
                      if (val == 'logoff')
                          logoff();
              else
                   if(EPCM.getGlobalDirty())
                      window.open('<%=GetLogoffConfirmUnsavedMsgURL(componentRequest)%>', '<%=LOGOFF_CONFIRM_WINDOW_NAME%>', '<%=LOGOFF_CONFIRM_MSG_ARGS_NS%>');
                   else
                      window.open('<%=GetLogoffConfirmMsgURL(componentRequest)%>', '<%=LOGOFF_CONFIRM_WINDOW_NAME%>', '<%=LOGOFF_CONFIRM_MSG_ARGS_NS%>');
         <%}%>
    In this code having if condition if(EPCM.getGlobalDirty()) is set as true means, then only properly executed and it shows the Log off message. In my part it goes to the else part. Then it shows run time error message.
    I cannt able to find out the solution.Pls help me in this regarding.

  • Server 2012 R2 RDS – cannot log off user session

    We have a 2 server RDS RemoteApp Farm.
    One server is constantly leaving user sessions in a disconnected state without the ability to kill the session (rebooting is the only way); this is happing 1-2 times per week.
    Servers have been configured to kill a disconnected session after 10 minutes, but some disconnected sessions have been running for days.
    Below is a screenshot of the process running for two disconnected users sessions that I could not disconnect, rebooting the server was the only way of fixing this. No error's were generated when users disconnected the session.
    Is there a known fix for this?

    Hi,
    Did you apply session disconnected policy setting in your environment?
    There are different ways for getting user log off. As you have commented that it’s happening with specific user, once check whether the user profile is not corrupted or any other related case. Also it might relates that some application or related services
    is still running under user profile so that session cannot be logged off. You can also try PowerShell command to log off the user. Also with
    Query user command you can find the related session name and ID and then with “Logoff user command” you can logoff the specific user.
    For policy related to session setting you can check beneath article. (point 1)
    [Forum FAQ] Restrict number of Active Sessions
    in RDS 2012 and 2012 R2
    Hope it helps!
    Thanks.

  • How to sync PC with iCloud after logging off?

    OK - I made the horrendous mistake of logging off the iCloud a couple of days ago.  I was left with some of my contacts from the iCloud - not all.  My groups were there, but no "all inclusive" iCloud Contacts.  Also my iCloud calendar was gone. I still had my iPhone and iPad connected to the iCloud - no changes there.
    When I went to log back on to the iCloud on my laptop, at first it started to copy my contacts - which were not complete (because of the ones in groups).  I cancelled the process.
    I spent almost 2 hours last night at the Apple Store Genious Bar.  They really didn't know what to do as my laptop is Windows 7 - they only knew how to do things if everything was Apple.  The first guy had me delete the iCloud contact folders on my laptop.  Then he had me wipe my iPhone clean (why I don't know, as it had stayed with the iCloud the entire time, as did my iPad).  Then he sync'd the iCloud to my iPhone, then copied to iTunes.  I now have a mess on my iPhone as all the "personalized" touches I've done over the past year are gone.
    Another employee came up and tried unsuccessfully to do anything.  A third one came up and logged into the iCloud on my laptop (through Firefox) and made a copy of the entire Contacts.  He then went into Outlook and tried to import them, but came up with a Windows error (no error number) saying it couldn't be done.
    By then my laptop battery was very low, so I went home.  I still everything all the way I had it before on my iPad - Yeah!
    Today I did a System Restore to my laptop - all my iCloud contacts are back the way they were before I messed with things. Yeah!  However, the calendar isn't back.  I went into Firefox to log on to the iCloud.com - id that - everything ok there, but how do I make it sync with Outlook in my laptop?  I did make a change to one of my contacts in the iCloud contacts in Outlook and clicked on the iCloud Refresh in Outlook (along the top ribbon) but this change did not show up on my iPhone or iPad.
    What am I missing?  How do I put the iCloud back on my laptop?  I really would appreciate any help you could give me - the Annapolis Apple store - they just really don't know how to do things on a Windows laptop.
    Please - help?  I would SO appreciate it!
    ElizaJane

    Please - anyone have any ideas?  I click on the iCloud Refresh button in Outlook and a time or two I saw a message saying incorrect password.  This Refresh button is an Outlook Add In.  Anyone know how to delete it and put the correct iCloud add-in on it?  I'm SO frustrated - I really don't have any clue what to do.

    It is probably worth having a look at the workspace patch 13936087 - 11.1.2.2.300 as it addresses a number of browser related issues.

  • My document will only print using wireless once I log off windows.

    I recently purchased the HP officejet wireless 4500 printer.  I am able to send documents to print, but then get an error message.  They will only print once I log off windows.  PLEASE HELP!

    Welcome to the HP Community Forum.
    To a large extent, the difficultly can be related to the type of document you are trying to print -- and the application you are using to print that document.
    PDF documents can be tricky -- sometimes, especially if you are trying to print these from the Internet, PDF files can be stupid-hard to print because the format is messed up.
    You can take a look at the following - no garantees -- it might help you find something that will help nail down what is going wrong or maybe help you figure out a way to get what you need.  For example, if all else fails, you can perhaps take a Snip of the document on the screen, save the Image, and print that.  It is a sorry excuse for a workaround - but at least you end up with something on paper.

  • I'm unknowingly getting logged off.

    Okay, I have read through pages of posts, I've even made the 443 change. So far I haven't read anything that has helped.
    While I am logged onto iChat, I randomly get disconnected but it doesn't show that I have been until I've sent a few messages. Then it will show me some error message or say that I'm disconnected. Sometimes I can go hours without this happening, sometimes it happens several times in the matter of minutes. I can't even get a decent conversation at times, because I don't know I'm disconnected. To me, it appears that the person I'm talking to just hasn't said anything. But to them I have disconnected in mid conversation, which usually confuses them.
    Also while sitting there it will log off/on and at times set me back to available when I have put up an away message. This also causes trouble because I have people talking to me thinking they are being ignored.
    I even disconnected my Airport Express, and went "wired" and it still didn't help. So I know the wireless part of the equation isn't it.
    I am on a second router, but I do not know, nor understand how it works. My connection goes as follows. Cable into house, into ISP's modem, into store bought "wired" router. And like I stated, one cable goes to my Airport Express, which I use, but I took the cable out of that and plugged it into the computer directly, and it still had the problem.
    So if anyone smarter than I, has any suggestions or fixes, let me know. It's been a month with my new computer, and I'm sick of it.
    Thanks in advance...

    Hi,
    You will now need to follow these instructions if you have one computer.
    http://portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/Linksys/BEFSX41/iChat.htm
    The Instructions do say that you should ideally set up Static routing.
    This means turning Off the DHCP server bit in the Linksys and setting the Mac to Manually use an IP.
    (You will need to gather info from the Linksys about it's Own IP (which you know anyway), the Subnet Mask being Used (this may appear on the mac as well) and the DNS Servers and entering them in the relevant place in System Preferences > Network on your Mac.)
    If you have two or more computers it will be best if you Port Forwarded to the Airport (setting that to Static ) and then allow the Airport to do DHCP (Share An IP)

  • Computer refuses to shut down/log off

    I have a MacBook running the latest version of OS X and it's exhibiting some very peculiar behavior. As the title suggests, it refuses to shut off or allow users to log off, furthermore, some applications don't open or work properly. I ran a verify disk and permissions and they've come back with zero errors. What should be my next step in troubleshooting these issues?

    Hello,
    If your MacBook refuses to Shut Down, try this using the keyboard command for Force Quit. Command + Option + Esc. That will bring up the Force Quit window. If there any applications running, they will be listed there and your computer will not shut down until those processes stop.
    As for applications not opening. Try locating and send their preference files to the Trash. I'll use iPhoto for an example. It's preference file looks like this:
    com.apple.iphoto.plist It's located here: MacintoshHD/Users/YourName/Library/Preferences. In that Preferences folder are the .plist folders for the applications you use. Send the .plist files to the Trash. It's ok.. your MacBook will create new .plist files for you You will have to reset your preferences on these applications but considering they aren't opening anyway, this might help.
    Also, if you haven't already done so get a good disk utility that you can run to clean out caches and log files and repair permissions all in one fell swoop. I use Onyx, it's free and it's here: http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/systemdiskutilities/onyx.html Download and install Onyx. Run the Maintenance and Cleaning scripts and reboot.
    Hopefully something I've suggested will help.
    Carolyn
