Log out of wifi server

Hi,
I have a wifi card valid for one week, but I want to log out from this username and password before it expires, and enter a new (gratis) username and password so I can extend my connection a further week. There was a pop up window at log-in but I'm unable to find a window where I can log-out. I can't re-open the log-in window. I'm automatically connected every time without having to log-in. The new card has to be validated within a limited period.
Thanks.

Could you be specific as to WHAT card it is you're using?
It sounds like the card and account system is specific to a particular network provider, so you should at least state that so that others who use the same system might be able to help.
FWIW I doubt you can do what you want, anyway (it is likely the card/account is valid for one week after it's first activated, and therefore will expire 7 days later no matter what other accounts you may use, or how much you use it), but others may know different information once we know who we're dealing with.

  • How to log out in content server

    Hi,
Whats is the process to log out in content server?
    Thanks,
    Abhijit

    Hi Abhijit ,
Install the ExtranetLook component and enable it on the content server . Before restarting the content server add the following variable in config.cfg :
    IsWebServerPagesOnly=false
Save the file and then restart the content server and WEBSERVER to get the component in effect on the content server.
After that you will see the logout button appearing.
You will get this component in the coreupdate patchset if you have downloaded one or else download it from http://updates.oracle.com/download/6907073.html
    Thanks

  • Logging in to WiFi server

For some reason our iPod (4th G) will only let us use capital letters on the first letter of the WiFi passcode. Since the whole thing is case sensitive, we cannot log into our own wifi server. Any suggestions?

Same problem for me, with a capital letter in the middle of the password that the ipod would not let me enter. According to the user guide, if the caps lock option is enabled (under setting -> general -> keyboard) then you can re-enter caps mode by double-tapping the up arrow. This didn't work for me, but what did work was to press and hold the up arrow, then drag over to the letter that I want to capitalize. Not very intuitive, but it worked for me. This seems to put the unit back in caps-lock, so if you then want a lower-case letter you need to simply press the up arrow once.

  • Can't log out of App Server

Sun Java System Application Server Enterprise Edition 9.1 (build b13)
We have several EARs running against Sun App server and using Container Form based authentication.
In the applications, we have a Logout link. The Logout link triggers an action in the application, and that action invalidates the user session. It then forwards them to our "index.jsp" which is controlled by the servlet security settings.
But the problem is that the user is not "logged out". When they hit the index.jsp, it does not prompt them for a login, not does it prevent them from going anyplace in the application.
Any ideas as to why the container does not log them out? We do have SSO enabled in the app server. Is there a better technique for logging a user out?

I have fixed it...The solution was to reboot the iPhone.  Shut it down, turned it back on, and then the problem apps went away.  I had to resynch them from iTunes.

  • BDC-Log Out from Production Server with out error message

    Hi all
I have written one BDC for "FWZZ" transaction.
It is wrking fine in dev & qual.
But in prod it is logging out with out any error message.
    what might be the reason??
    Thaks & Regards
    Swathi

    Hi Swathi!
There is little you can do. The BDC can only be shortened by avoiding unecessary steps (each return code needs some time) - but most likely you have already a short way through the transaction.
But maybe there are some field exits / user exits / customizing settings, which start slow database actions. As long as in Dev and Qual aren't so much entries, there wasn't a problem, but now in Prod you have a performance problem.
Make a runtime analysis or a SQL-trace to see what's happening during the call transaction. This should give you an idea, where to look for the slow parts.

  • How to ensure OC4J runs after user logs out of a W2003 Server

    Greetings,
I have a question. We have BI Publisher running on a W2003 server. When I log into the server, a dos window starts up, and runs the OC4J stuff. When I log out of the server, this process stops.
In order to use the scheduling part of BI Publisher (meaning, reports can be emailed out), the OC4J window must be running (meaning, I cannot log out of the W2003 server).
How do I ensure the OC4J process remains running after I log out of the W2003 server? Note - this was fresh server, with a clean OBISE (Oracle Business Intelligence Standard Edition) install.
    Thanks,
    Colin Jensen

Use the services created at installation time to startup Oracle AS components.
    thant should do the trick

  • Mail logs out of server when imac sleeps

Mail logs out of the server when computer sleeps

system preferences, security and privacy, general menu, unlock the lock and click on advanced.
Set the automatic logout to 999.  That's 999 minutes to automatic logout.
Only do this if you really don't want auto logout.  Like when you're doing a crypto-quality erasure of a backup hard drive or backing up to a blank hard drive (can take several hours for first backup).

  • Does Time Machine still work when logged out?

Potentially dumb question here... but will Time Machine continue backing up if I log out? I don't want my administrator user account always logged in, but I want to make sure our central files are constantly being backed up.

    Hi,
I logged out of my server before going home last night. When I came in today, there are Time Machine updates throughout the night.
To check this yourself, just logout and then the next time you login, open your Time Machine volume and see if there are any updates. I think you'll find that there are.
    Hope this helps!

  • Leopard Server 10.4 Blogs/Wiki and Safari error with www alias and Log Out

I have a Leopard Server 10.5 setup with dns and web services including blogs and wikis setup. If I browse to http://hostname.domain.com/users using Safari 5.0.1, I see that the session is not logged in (i.e. Log Out is not visible. I can login and create a blog and logout with no issue. I can do this on Firefox and Camino as well.
Now, if I browse to http://www.domain.com/users however... the Log Out button is visible all the time in Safari 5.0.1 only - Firefox and Camino show the correct status of a non logged in session. In Safari 5.0.1 it is not possible to login to post or create a blog WHEN the www.domain.com url is used.
I have rebuilt Leopard server twice on a physical and a virtual machine for testing and can reproduce the exact same error. It's a mix of using www.domain.com and Safari. Any other browser works fine and ALL browsers work fine with any other alias pointing to the same site, including hostname.domain.com
Testing on Safari 5.0.1 on the server itself works fine. Testing on clients was on 10.6 and 10.5 and was performed on 4 separate client machines. Browsing on the server was fine but browsing on any client would produce the error when using www.domain.com.
If anyone can offer any suggestions, please help!

I tried several new approaches, but nothing worked so far.
The update to 10.5.5 made things worse. Connections are dropping all over the place, when saving from Adobe programs in particular.
Printing from clients to a Xerox Phaser 5500 works, but choosing a different paper size than the default chosen in the cups admin interface goes all wrong and either prints on the default paper size, but down/upscaled to the chosen paper size or prints on the chosen paper size and down/upscaled as if you were printing to the default paper size. (e.g. default paper size is A4, you choose A3 with an A3 document. Document prints on A4 and is downscaled to A4, or prints on A3 and is downscaled to A4.)
There is no way I can keep this thing in production much longer. I tried reinstalling again, but that did not change any behaviour. Another nice "feature": InDesign disables "edit original" when the path to the linked file contains any directoryname with more than 8 characters in length.
Coupled with a sometimes disappearing "dirserv" (it just stops working until I reboot the whole computer) the decision stands to move away from the Xserve.
Leopard Server 10.5.x just does not seem to work well with windows clients.
We will migrate to a windows server 2003 running ExtremZ-IP for the macintosh clients this weekend. Too bad that Apple does not allow Bootcamp to work on Xserves, at least the hardware would have been useful then.
(As a nice finishing touch, the harddisk partition where all data resides did become corrupt over the weekend. "The volume Daten could not be repaired."
Disk Utility and first aid did show nothing on friday ... saturday after no work being done on the partition this error shows up. The only solution I could find was to reformat the partition and restore from a previous backup. Another weekend down the drain. Sorry for the rant, but 6 weekends in a row is enough.)

  • IPhone 4 apps not updating that require wifi. They get only so far and then start over again. Now they won't even attempt to update. Given the 'done' or 'retry' option and they're still unusable. I've tried logging out of app store, rebooting, and reset.

I have 4 apps that will not update. Im mostly concerned with one, as it has a good amount of in-app purchases. It started to
Update and got 3/4 done then started over again. now im given the 'done/retry' option shortly after attempting an update. I've rebooted, reset(lost all my phone contacts thanks very much....), logged out of app store....
Perhaps its the wifi I'm using (cruise ship worker here), and will try again on a land wifi signal before worrying a lot. any help would be great.
In-store helper had me double click home and clear out all opened apps and that worked then , but not now.

Also, just as a note, I restored my iphone last night, and it has made no difference.
One last thing... On itunes, when i click 'info' on apps that are said to be under my friends account (ie they will only update when he is logged in), it says that i purchased them under my account, yet it won't let me update them.

  • Using Caching Service when the Server Sleeps or Users have logged out?

When the Mac Mini Server logs out all users, the OS X Server 3 should still be running to my belief.  Thus the Caching Service of the OS X Server 3 should still be running.  However, in a number of cases, I found that the time taken for an app download after the first time uses the same time for download.  So, I guess the Caching Service is not performing at all when there is no Logged-in user.
I further wonder why there is a Sleep Button at the User Log-in Screen and no wonder that the Server will not be providing Services (e.g. Caching Service) when the Server is in Sleep Mode.  Will the Server 3 be providing Caching Service while the Mac Mini Server has enter Sleep mode and it's just my configuration problem?

Here is an explanation of how caching server works.
    http://nbalonso.com/os-x-server-caching/
    In summary:
Your server periodically talks to apple.  Compares notes.  Verifies it is authentic.  Gets a certificate from apple to prove it is authentic.
If your device asks for something (contacts apple), Apple says that you have a local caching server, and responds with the info telling your device to try your local server first.  (includes certificate info, so your device is confident the local server that responds is actually authorized to do so).
If that goes well, then fine.  If not, then you device falls back to getting the info from Apple's servers.
If your server is asleep, then this process won't work.  Your server is supposed to phone home to apple (hourly?) to keep proving it is authorized to server updates, and to update Aple's record that it is authorized to serve updates for your private network IP address.

  • They're Back - The Slowdowns, Log-outs and Server Issues

Well, Jan. 11, 2011, starting about 9:00AM -8 GMT, I have been logged-out with almost every post, or even just viewing a thread. Half of the time, the server appears to be dead, and I get bounced to either Adobe.com, or to the main Forum page, from the product forum. Loading of any page, or uploading any post/reply takes seemingly forever.
Hope that it's just some server maintenance?

  • My ipad logged out from my wifi, and won't log back. It says the password in incorrect.

Yesterday my iPad logged out of my wifi, and now won't log back in. It finds it but then tells me the password is incorrect. My wife's iPad and my lap to work fine on the same password. I've turned wifi on and off, I've reset network functions but no use. Any ideas?

Hi On your iPad in Wifi click on Forget this network ie your wifi service name Then Turn your Router off for 30 Seconds Then Try again. If this doesn't solve the problem. You may need to do a Factory Reset and Restore IPAD as new this will get rid of any bugs. Also later on website check for any Firmware update for your make of Router. Cheers Brian

  • Exchange Server 2013 Logs Out of Control

I have a fairly new install of Exchange Server 2013 running in full production. Everything has been great except for the high level of log files that are generated on a daily basis. I am able to truncate the Transaction logs everyday with a Server Backup,
but that still does not help me with the other constantly growing log files in C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\V15\Logging. Is there any way to set these to automatically purge after a set amount of days? I have found resources that discuss setting
up a powershell script that will delete everything after a set amount of days, but I want to know if anything in Exchange 2013 will allow me to do this. I am getting tired of expanding my VM disk. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately Exchange 2013 creates alot of log files that it does not clean up on it's own.  While there isn't a way to tell Exchange to clean up the files after X number of days, there is a very helpful script someone else has already written that does
the work for you. He has 2 versions, 1 that you have to put on each individual server (I like that one in case I lose the server I put the script on) or 1 that you can run on 1 server that takes care of all of your Exchange Servers.

  • BT Openzone Wifi - How to disconnect / log out?

Getting really annoying that I'll be half way through something and it will disconnect me after 2 hours.
Is there a way around this?
Or is there a way to log out / disconnect to reset the timer as when logged in there is no log out or disconnect button on the web page.

I have come across two types of screen that appear after logging in - one shows a facility to log out and the other doesn't.
Recently the log out screen has rarely appeared and so it appears that the default is that you log in for the 2 hours until you get kicked off and have to log in again. There appears to be no way to log out unless the 15 mins inactivity kicks in.
