Logged in as admin, but don't have priviledges..?

I am trying to register some newly purchased software, but even though I am logged in with an account with admin priviledges, I get the msg that I am not.
I have 2 accounts on this computer: my regular one and an additional blank one - both with admin rights. With my regular account this new software crashes while trying to open it, and while trying to fix this, I tried it in the blank account. I can open the program, but not register. Then I tried opening up two new accounts to see if I could reproduce the problem in these new (one admin, one standard) accounts, but I can't get the program to open in any of these.
Tech support of the software says it's not a problem with their software, but a mac admin issue. I've tried changing the admin rights, but that doesn't help either.
I've tried trashing the preferences, rebooting, and repairing disk permissions.
Otherwise the computer runs smoothly.

Hi Sonia,
On one of the accounts that can't open it, do a Get Info on that installer & report the 3 Privilileges.
Sounds like you have deeper problems, but might help to mention the software & version.

    Try this:
    1. Open "Finder", then navigate to "Movies" on the left side. Click on "iMovie Projects"
    2. Move desired movies and clips to trash, or your flash drive.
    *PS* Its dangerous to have a full hard drive, I would recommend either trashing, or transferring files to another computer. Trash applications you no longer use as well.

    Hi, I wanted to reinstall Windows XP home onto my Satellite Pro L20, but don't have any of the software my laptop came with (read lost the disks). I have a valid XP home key (as its stuck on the bottom of my laptop) but no disc so I tired using a copy of a Windows XP home cd, which didn't work, but did let me get as far as formatting the hard drive.
    So right now I'm using Ubuntu, but want to reinstall Windows. Have valid product key but no software to reinstall.

    Some facts for you:
    - Recovery image *CANNOT* be downloaded

    So back to your situation:
    For clean OS installation you have *_two_* options only:
    - if possible order new copy by Toshiba authorized service provider in your country *do you have more questions about that?*
    - you can install operating system using Microsoft installations CD *if you don't have it, it is your problem*

    Since it has always been very basic to backup your computer and all it's data, Apple provides no way for you to transfer music from your iPhone back to your computer.  As you know, you can re-download all iTunes purchases, but music that you ripped yourself you'll have to just re-rip again.
    You can try and find 3rd party applications that might help you.  I'm sure you'll pay, however.
    Let this be a very important lesson learned.

    Need to wipe out HD but don't have the install disk? I want to sell my Macbook Pro 15 inch. I have the orginal disk it came with but it's leopard and I have seens then upgraded to Lion. Now I can't find Lion and the install disk (leopard) tells me you can't you this disk. So does ANYONE out there know anyway I can work around this???
    I have tried the recovery HD by rebooting (holding down opiton and R) but it dosn't do anything but restart the comptuer.

    First, if you purchased Lion at the app store, the license is not transferable - it is forever tied to your Apple ID. So you can't sell the machine with Lion on it (there is no install disk for Lion anyway). You do need to reinstall the original OS so the buyer can purchase Lion with their own Apple ID.
    As for your problem with the install disk - you do need to boot from another disk in order to erase your hard drive. Have you tried to insert it and then go to System Preferences > Startup Disk > select it and then hit restart?

    Why do you need InDesign CS (that is version 3) or InDesign CS3 (that is Version 5) to install InDesign CS5.5 (it is version 7.5)?
    If it is an upgrade and asks you to input your serial of an older version, you have to get an find it. No one will help you here. If you can't find it and if you have not registered it, you are out of luck. You will have to spend money for a new version.

    Turn off the check mark to sync your music and also the check mark for the video. Sync the device. This will remove the items from you iPad but still keep them on your computer. Install IOS 7.1.2. Then turn on the check marks for your music and videos and resync the device.

    In this complicated case, I think it's important that you get your work in.
    The Photography Plan includes Lightroom 5 and Photoshop CC. Open an account with them and for $10 a month you can be back in business which I think nets you more than $10. It's what I do. You can do this immediately. You get two seats and they can be either Mac or PC.
    In your spare time you can sort out the license issue and cancel the plan later on if this is fixed.
    If you don't want to go there, then you will have to call Customer Service by phone and hope they can fix this.

    If you are unable to view content that has already been downloaded then you problem is within you device.  First shut it down all the way by holiding the sleep button at the top until the power off slide appears at the top of your screen. Then slide that and wait while it powers off. Give it a good 30 seconds to do this.  then power it back up. if that doesn't work, you may need to call the apple care folks. One other option is to restore it to factory settings and reload it with the updates first and then sink your media to it. You should already have it backed up to iCloud, but if not, do that first then do the restore.

    You need to create an Apple ID in a very specific manner if you do not want to use a credit card. You will have to sign out of the current ID, in Settings> iTunes and App Stores. Tap on your ID and sign out. You will also need another email address to use since you already associated the first email address with another Apple ID.

    After many hours of debugging with Microsoft support the system to install the Lync Client silently can be done with a SINGLE LINE command.  The steps to take are below. It should be an easy next step to put this as GPO installation since
    it is a simple command.
    Comments appreciated. 
    side question: Why is there no Lync 2013 or Lync Office 365 forum?
    Basic steps to deploy Lync for users who own Office 365 E2 licenses, but don’t have Office 365 E3, using Office Deployment tool.
    This also applies for other Office 365 service types where the full office suite download is not included.  In April 2015 This was impossible to find online and not know by the Lync support team.
    Steps are:
    Download the Office deployment tool from
    http://www.microsoft.com/en-in/download/details.aspx?id=36778 and extract it to a folder. For this
    example we will use the \\server\sharename
    location.
    Extracting it creates a setup.exe file and it show a sample XML file.
    2. Create XML file and give it a name such as LyncEntryRetail.xml
    Note: The key is the productID that has to be the “LyncEntryRetail”. Other product IDs will download a version that needs another office 365 license. The productID “LyncRetail” needs an E3 license of Office 365.
    <Configuration>
      <Add SourcePath="\\server\sharename" OfficeClientEdition="32" >
        <Product ID="LyncEntryRetail">
          <Language ID="en-us" />
        </Product>

    </Configuration>
