Logged In As SYSADMIN

When ever I am trying to login to the R12 instance from applcation user[ not sysadmin], it is displaying the lable "Logged In As SYSADMIN".
Environment is : R12.1.1 on REDHAT 5.
Please help me solve this issue.. thanks in advance.

Please clear your browser cache and check then.
Can you reproduce the issue with other usernames?
Please clear the server cache (or bounce the application services) and check then.

Can not log on as Sysadmin in Oracle E-Business Suite Home page (11.5.9) Li

I have successfully installed 11.5.9 in SUSE SLES8.
Here all what I have done after a successful installation of 11.5.9
in Linux (SUSE SLES8) â
As per the installation note to download the jinitiator file I have to signon
to Oracle Applications E_business Suite Home page. In the Home page I have to specify useid and password. By mistake I have specified wrong useid/password probably for a number of times. Then I get the message you are no longer in the URL session.
Later on I logged on to "CRM HomePAGE" as user SYSADMIN and change the password. All work fine in "CRM HomePAGE" window.
But after that when I try to logon to âE_business Suite Home pageâ as SYSADMIN, (specifying new password)I am receiving following error â
âYou have encountered an unexpected error. Please contact the System
Administrator for assistance.
Click here for exception details.â
However when I click âhereâ I get no details or explanation about the error.
Please let me know how to unset the sigon option for user SYSADMIN under âE_business Suite Home pageâ, so that I can successfully log on to it (as sysadmin) and configure jinitiator.

Workflow Administrator other then SYSADMIN

We need to have people working in the system as Workflow Admin but not logging in as SYSADMIN. We have placed an "*" in the "Workflow Configuation" -> "Workflow System Administrator" but when someone logs in as a user with "Workflow Administror Web Applications" they do not have the same abilities as some one loging in as SYSADMIN. Any idea how we can fix this?

Low-level logging

Hi,
When i login to apps via browser, i get the warning on the top
Low-leve logging is currently enabled...
My apps is not working properly. All requests are failing.
What is the is low level loggin ? How to disable this ?

1. Login to E-Business as the user who can modify the Workflow System Administrator and navigate:
Workflow Administrator Web Applications > Administration
Then select either the SYSADMIN user or the Workflow Administrator Web Applications responsibility as the Workflow System Administrator.
2. Select Workflow Administrator Web Applications > Workflow Manager > Notification Mailers > Launch Summary Notifications
NOTE: We highly recommend that the Workflow System Administrator be assigned to the Workflow Administrator Web Applications responsibility. This allows the assignment of this responsibility with its administrator menu items to users within your organization that are responsible for administering workflow.
or
1) Log in as SYSADMIN
2) Query the System Administrator responsibility for editing
3) Add the Workflow Administrator Web Applications role to the Sys Admin Responsibility
4) Observe the untitled attachment error and issue no longer presenting

INTERESTING: sysadmin login attempts

The following query returns the current and active logins to oracle applications for the day. But sometimes I don't know how suddenly SYSADMIN record also comes automatically in the result.
I have changed SYSADMIN password and I have not logged in to the system as SYSADMIN but sometimes it shows automatically that sysadmin logged in.
Is there a way I can track who logged in as SYSADMIN, from which machine or is there a way that if somebody knows one of the old passwords of sysadmin has done some setup so that he is able to login even though the password is changed.

The view 'cpdpopupeditactionsview' does not exist.

I just installed UCM without any issues as far as I could see, but when I log in as sysadmin at http://localhost/idc/ I always get a popup box saying:
"The view 'cpdpopupeditactionsview' does not exist."
Looking for the cpdpopupeditactionsview string in the UCM installation directory gives me this:

This issue is resolved by manually uninstalling the ContentFolios component via editing the database directly. This only works if the client does not have any ContentFolio data - created or migrated; if they do have existing Content Folio data this will cause great harm to the integrity of their collection.
1. Uninstall the ContentFolios component.
2. Delete the following tables from the database;
CpdArchivedLinks, CpdBasketLinks, CpdChangeHistory, CpdLinks
3. Delete the entry for ContentFolios from the Config table.
4. Restart the Content Server.
5. Install the ContentFolios component.

How to restrict users cannot change their password

Hi all,
If i logon to E-Business Suite home page, click on the preferences icon on the right hand top corner of the home page, i have an option to change my password.
How will i diable or restrict this such that no users can change their passwords after first time creation.

i could do this by logging in as sysadmin, personalizing that particular page (preferences) and setting it for only site and org. it is effected for all the users

I know you are Guru. I want to learn Oracle Financial like GL , AP, AR setup or configuration. As you know I was able to install EBS11i on my PC and I also logged in as sysadmin but If you can little bit tell me that after login how I can go to GL , Please be specific that what responsibility I have to select right from beginning after login as sysadmin. If you please tell me some path like select this go next select this . I know it is little anoying but your help in this regard will be appreciated. Just guide us that this is the path to setup GL/AP/AR and from that I can find some way.

Not able to run jsp on content server

Hi,
I am trying to create home page for the website using file type as jsp. File creation was successful but when I try to run the web page, instead of launching the web page its asking to save the file. Can any one let me know whats the problem. Is there any setting needs to be done for jsp pages.

if you do a view source is the jsp outputting any HTML at all?
can you tell if the page is loading and just not displaying?
You might also want to check the server output.
To see that you can selecte "System Audit Information" from your Admin Menu option (you must be logged in with sysadmin privileges to see this)
Click "view server output" link on the menu bar.

I am completely new in Oracle Apps. I have lot of experience in Microsoft technologies (SQL Server, .Net) but never worked in Oracle Apps before. Now trying to learn it.
I installed Oracle Apps R12 on a virtual linux machine for learning. I selected "empty database" at the time of installation (i.e. not Vision installation) and logged in as sysadmin. But now I don't know where to start. Let's say I want to use the Financials module to enter some fake data and then create a report. Where do I start? I searched in Google but looks like none of the "beginner's tutorial" have that info.
Can someone help me or direct me to some tutorial/documentation which will help me to start?

If the above solutions are not feasible, log in as Sysadmin, and Setup a vacation rule for CFO with Purchasing Documents forwarded to MD.
This way, all Purchasing approvals sent to CFO for approval, will be forwarded to MD.
Make sure to select the Vacation rule type as Delegation.

Workflow Administrator issue

ebs 11.5.8
We successfully cloned from prod to dev. DEV been up for ~1 month.
We now have an issue with the Workflow.
I log in as sysadmin -> system administrator responsibility then workflow -> Global Preferences
In the html page that opens it says "Only the Workflow Administrators can edit Default settings."
I tried with Workflow Administrator -> Global Preferences but same results.
I check for profile (System Administrator -> Profile -> System : %workflow%) but found nothing that would indicate who is the admin of the workflow.
I think this is due to autoconfig, setting the default value for the workflow administrator.
How can I find who is the owner and change it?

Disco Viewer/+/Admin/Desktop errors out with Invalid Username and Password

Hi All,
We have set up a demo environment at work to upgrade to R12 with Vision database. Discoverer Admin is patched to this level: 10.1.2.2 (Path#4960210) with EBS patch 5985072. The iAS on linux box which is running Discoverer server is patched with same 10.1.2.2 as well. So client and server are at the same level. I followed Note 373634.1 - Using Discoverer 10.1.2 with Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 to integrate Discoverer 10.1.2 with E-Business Suite Release 12 and copied over vis.dbc file to the client (C:\oracle\BIToolHome_01\secure) and also copied the same file to $BI_ORACLE_HOME/discoverer/secure folders. So far so good. I can connect to disco plus/admin/desktop using sysadmin or any other users shipped out of box with R12 VIS instance. A default apps EUL_US exist with some business area and workbooks. I can run them without any issues.
My problem is any FND users that I create cannot login via Plus/desktop/admin. I get the error username/password is invalid. I can login with this newly created user to apps no problem. I can see this user in discoverer when logged in as SYSADMIN and I granted all the privileges(admin as well) necessary. Also, any user shipped in VIS instance if updated (password changed or responsibility added) stops working and throws the same error.
What could be going wrong ?
I did look at this thread and have done all that is suggested by Michael and Rod west.

Hi,
Check whether there are any signon system profile options set. For example, case sensitive passwords set in the system profiles can cause a problem because Discoverer does not support them.
Also try doing a connection trace on Discoverer Desktop to see how far the connection attempt progresses. Follow Metalink Note 329898.1 for instructions.

There are no workflow customizations. We are trying to implement it to AP invoice
approval only.
Can you instruct me on how to test this one? I thought I could only select the global preferences from the workflow configuration window. And there are no distinction as to which invoice approval
process it is applicable. Where could I select the global preferences for other
invoices approval?

access the workflow configuration page. there was still no list of values for
the notification style. we changed the wf admin role to kcaalim using the sql:

11. check the notifications in the required approver's worklist.
12. there are no notifications sent.
