Logged in here first time failed

logging into this forum the first time, I was asked whether I want to keep my current user name as an alias for sending posts. I've choosen yes and got an error message.
Only creating a new alias worked.

Maybe try to remove the ampersand so that the parameter looks as follows:

Can't log into Facebook first time

When I first call up Facebook in my address bar, and try to log in, I get the cursor with the blue ball on it. The second time I call up Facebook, I am able to log in (or if I go through Google, or through my bookmarks). This problem started happening after my AirPort crashed, and was fixed through technical support. Tried using Disk Utility (Repair Permissions) with no effect.

/Users/YourName/Library/Preferences. Drag that file from the Preferences folder to the Trash, empty the Trash and restart your Mac.

URL getting concatenated when user logged in for first time

Hi
I am sending the below url to the mail as a notification .
http://<server>:<port>//irj/portal?NavigationTarget=%3ROLExyz
when the user click on the link ,it should route to the particular page
case 1 when user already logged in, then after clicking of this link it opens new window and shows the particular page correctly
case 2 when user not logged then afetr clicking of this link it asks for user id and pwd which is ok, but the link is getting concatenated like
http://<server>:<port>//irj/portal?NavigationTarget=%3ROLExyz=NavigationTarget=&ROLExyz
then showing the error message that page doesn't exist.
I am usig Escpae URL function to encode the url ( NavigationTarget=&ROLExyz ) when sending the link to the user in mail .

The user's password must be changed before logging on the first time

Please, i have been battling with the message above and i have read similar postings all to no avail. I am trying to run Windows Server 2008 R2 in "Sun's Virtual box" and everything went well until i was prompted to enter a password. This is just my first
installation, and the virtual box is not password enabled. The host operating system is windows 7 ultimate 64bit which is password enabled but i have entered the password used for the host operating system and i will get this message "Unable to update the
password. The value provided for the new password does not meet the length, complexity of history requirement for the domain". The Windows Server was labelled "DC1" in the Sun Virtual box. I tried creating a password reset disk and i got the message "The password
you entered is incorrect for this user account. Please try again". At this point i don't know what else to do. Please, can anyone point me in the right direction.....please.

Cannot log into facebook - first time.

After having downloaded facebook, when I get to the section where I have to insert my email and password, I am getting a incorrect "e-mail / password" message?

Well, given the error message, I'm not sure how to guide you...it is rejecting the Facebook credentials you are entering. Are you 100% positive they are correct? With BB keyboards, it is very easy to think you are typing one character but it actually is sending something completely different (e.g., alt, caps, num, etc.).

Logging on for first time.... having trouble!

We just purchased Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 from ebay. It was new in box and sealed. Upon installation, Adobe would not accept our information when we tried to create an account. Finally, we were somehow able to establish a user ID and password. However, when brought to the screen where you enter your birthday and URL, the button on the bottom right-hand corner ("update account") was not highlighted and I could not click on it. We have been unable to use our new Photoshop Elements and are very frustrated. If anyone knows of any way to help us, we would be greatly appreciative. Thank you!

Can we detect the user first time he logs in ( appln uses embedded ldap )

We are using weblogic embedded ldap for authentication in our application
The first time the user logs in to our applicaiton, we need to detect he is log-in the first time,
so take him to change password page.
Can we do like that ?

Hi,
By default when you open a report it displays the report exactly as it was last saved. So even if you user views the report
drills down
then closes the report without saving
then views the report immediately
the report will open in its original state. There is no setting which can be amended to change this. It is possible to write your own viewer but that would be a significant piece of work

You can log out of her account by tapping on the id on the right-hand side of Settings > Store and you can then log in with your id - is that what you want to do ?

Suspends fails the first time, but succeeds the second time

I am running Arch Linux on my Dell XPS 15 9530 laptop, and overall I am very happy with the combination. I have however had some issues with suspending.
The problem is that the first time I try to suspend the machine it seems to go to sleep, but then two seconds later it automatically wakes up again. If I then immediately try again to suspend, it works (it does not wake up automatically). Does anyone know what could be going on, and how this can be fixed?
Usually I suspend from my gnome 3 desktop, but I have also tried to suspend directly using 'systemctl suspend' without having an X server running, and the result is exactly the same. I have tried a few versions of the vanilla kernel, but also the linux-lts and the linux-ck images, but to no avail.

It seems to me like the only real difference has to do with the xhci_hcd errors, perhaps the following:
xhci_hcd 0000:00:14.0: Setup ERROR: setup context command for slot 2.
Any input or help would be highly appreciated.

Lion - startup fails first time, second time fine

So here's a weird issue… it started a week ago, every time I shut my Mac down and start, the first time it tries to start fails. I have FileVault enabled, so I enter my password, the grey screen appears, the wheel under the Apple logo starts spinning and after a while it just restarts. I enter my password again and it boots just fine.
But only the second time.
I tried verbose boot to see what's going on, but I don't really understand much of what it says. I took some pictures, I don't know if there's a startup log somewhere.

I just don't understand it, because the second time it always boots with no problem, but the first time the above happens. I unfortunately can't take it to a genius bar as there is no Apple Store in Brazil and my Portuguese isn't good enough to explain that to someone.

Logging Issue (First Time Error, Second attempt success)- Please help

We have BO XI 3.1 SP2.We have developed a custom java sdk code for logging in. The code works in Dev and Test however the same code errors out when using another CMS name(Prod). Not quite sure how to troubleshoot the issue. Another note is first time when we pass the login values (System Name, User Id, Pass, Auth) it errors out and second time it logs in fine. This happens every time start of the application.
Here is the code that i am using and for the first time it gives the error message "Sorry - you could not be logged on to this server." +

Yes we do have Support and we are working with them to identify the root cause. Still no luck so far!!!
No. It does not redirect to Infoview page,once the logon is completed it redirects to a product selection screen from there it uses an open document to view webi report.
We have tried clearing all the cookies, history, temp files everything and start with a new browser the issue still remains. Well the logon page writes cookies however it does only when it can create an Enterprise Session.
Yes the Prod Environment is at SP2 Level. The Prod has been set up the same way as Dev and Test. Well the same code works in both the environments. Unsure how to troubleshoot to identify the root cause.
Any thoughts is greatly appreciated.

Error message on iphone 3GS when initiating back-up for the first time "icloud backup failed - how to fix

When initiating back-up of my 3GS to icloud for the first time, I repeatedly receive an error message reading:
"iCloud backup failed
There was a problem enabling iCloud backup"
I cannot find a solution to this problem amd no amount of checking and rechecking account settings etc. has made any difference. Does anyone have experience of how to overcome this issue. The iCloud back-up initiated on my iPad without any problem so I do not think the problem is account related.

I just upgraded my 3GS to iOS5 and signed into iCloud using my Apple ID...
Every time I click "Back Up Now" in the iCloud preferences on the iPhone, I get "There was a problem completing the backup. Please try again later."
On my wife's iPhone 4, I just performed a back up and there were no errors. I tried this also on my wife's iPad 2 and it worked perfectly.
I have tried the following:
1. In iTunes, when my phone is connected, I selected "Back up to iCloud" on the summary tab
2. Reset my phone using the steps in the above post
3. Deleted the iCloud account on my iPhone and logged in again
4. Tried to backup from 3 different wireless networks
None of the steps above fixed the issue which has been going on all day for me...

I have a Mac mini running the latest version of OS X and Server. Been running fine and flawlessly. However, I had a strange problem with the iCloud preferences panel crashing when I tried to access it, so I rebooted. Now I can not log into the system with any accounts. My master admin account (along with all the others) gives me the error:

I am able to see the server from other macs and I can log into it using the same account, but it only shows me a few of the shared folders I have access to but NOT to my main directories.
Rebooting into Command-R and doing a disk utility, I try and repair permission on that drive and get a bunch of errors like:
ACL found but not expected on Users
Repaired "Users"
ACL found but not expected on Users/.localized
Repaired "Users/.localized"
ACL found but not expected on Users/Shared
Repaired "Users/shared"
ACL found but not expected on Users/Shared/.localized
Repaired "Users/Shared/.localized"
Permissions repair complete.
But rebooting is no joy...same problem. Any idea what is going on or how to repair it? Should I do a time machine restore? Complete new OS X install? Any idea what is causing this or how to salvage it?

Got everything to re-install and it worked fine...for a few hours. Then I came in to find ALL of my network users deleted. Just GONE. Then found out the Open Directory was trashed and was unable to open, recover or restore from a backup. Looks like I may have a bad drive here.
I installed a new drive in the system, re-installed and so far (for a couple of hours anyway) the system seems to be working and stable.
