Logging in to i tunes

I keep trying to log in to itunes but it says that i need to update some security info on apple id info page. I have been on there but cant find what ive got to do. can anyone help

I can get down as far as step 11 but it shows nothing about upper filters and when I type on "If the Upper Filters entry is missing follow these instructions" nothing happens
Do you mean you can't see the instructions on what to do if there is no UpperFilters entry?
If so, here's the relevant instructions for that step:
On the right side of the Registry Editor window, right-click the UpperFilters entry and choose Modify from the shortcut menu.
Right-click the empty white space within the right-hand portion of the Registry Editor window. From the shortcut menu, choose New > Multi-String Value.
Name this new value "UpperFilters" (without the quotes). Then, right-click the newly created UpperFilters entry and choose Modify from the shortcut menu.

Apple doesn't have anything to do with this other than enforcing the DRM protection. The developers of this content expect to be paid if someone wants to use their content. When you purchase content in the app store, you purchase a license to use the content. This license does not permit you or anyone else to resell or give this content away. The individual you purchased the phone from simply does not have the right to sell or give away any purchased content on the phone. You were deceived.

Hi can anybody help or advise me? I've recently bought the i-phone 4s, I've set up my apple I.D and password but everytime I try and log in it says "this apple I.D has not yet been used on the i-tunes store" I click "review" follow the instructions and agree to the terms and condition's, enter my bank details but it declines every time? I've tried both my accounts and its declined both, this stops me from logging in so I can't download anything for free or buy anything, my sister had the option of skipping the bank details part when she created her apple I.D and just enters her's when buying something, why do I not have that option?? And why is it declining my bank details...please HELP!!!!!

The details I'm entering are correct, I choose visa as my card type, enter my card number, enter my expiry date and my last 3 digts on the reverse of the card, enter my address and zip code plus my home telephone number, click continue and it says "the payment method you have selected has been declined, please enter another payment method". I've lost count how many times I've tried, I've typed my details in slowly making sure I put them in properlly and it still declines it, I've even tried makeing a new apple I.D and when I get to the bank details part it declines it again so I am forced to press cancel and all details are not saved so its just like I'm hitting a brick wall, its ******* me off!!! I can't even download any of the free app's because to do so you must log in but when I do it says "this apple I.D has not yet been used in the i-tunes store" review my details and can't get past the bank details part. HT1491 How can you log in to I tunes on your iPhone if you can't remember the answers to your security questions?

I am trying to use I tunes on my I phone for the first time. I usually use my iiPod. When I sign in it ask for my password which is no prob then it asks me to answer my security questions. I can't remember the answers that I used. Is there any way to log on and or get the answers to my security questions so that I can download some music?

If you have a rescue email address set up on your account then you can try going to https://appleid.apple.com/ and click 'Manage your Apple ID' on the right-hand side of that page and log into your account. Then click on 'Password and Security' on the left-hand side of that page and on the right-hand side you might see an option to send security question reset info to your rescue email address.
If you don't have a rescue email address set up then go to Express Lane and select 'iTunes' from the list of 'products' in the middle of the screen.
Then select 'iTunes Store', and on the next screen select 'Account Management'
Next choose 'iTunes Store Account Security' and fill in that you'd like your security questions/answers reset.
You should get an email reply within, I think, about 24 to 48 hours (and check your Spam folder as well as your Inbox)

When logged in the i-tunes store will not open on my home computer.

I am logged into I-tunes and when I click on the I-tunes store icon it shows that it is downloading and will not show the home page. Any help would be great.

Hello again. Thanks again for the help with my earlier catastrophe. I am quite comfortable with the old sofware/app/operating system/version, sorry I do not know the correct term. However, every time I log into I Tunes now, I get blocked form doing anything unless I agree to download the newest version. After losing my library for 15 hours and dubiously trying to recover it on my own, you all came to the rescue. I have a lap top running windows 8 and this old desktop running windows 7. With me not knowing which of the two accounts is assigned to this desk top, I do not wish to lose my content again. Even if authorizing two users will solve the prob. Is there a way to just keep the old version and bypass the download new version now screen? Call me Old Fashioned.:)

Open the Options dialog and go to the General tab.
Check the setting "When Firefox Starts:" and make sure it is set to "Show my home page"

Place the iPhone into Recovery mode. If successful, this will require restoring the iPhone with iTunes which is required anyway in this situation.

All of a sudden I can't log on to I-tunes or the the app store on my I-pad 2

when clicking on I-tunes or app store my I-pad 2 says it cannot connect and I have good signal it was working I even rebooted it?

The icons wouldn't even show on the device if they were restricted. Try downloading an app on the computer and syncing it over onto the iPad to see if that makes it works. If not, I'd likely recommend restoring as it would look like a software issue with the device.

Try tapping on your id at the bottom of the Featured tab in the App Store apps on your phone and iPad and log out of your account on them, and then log back in with the updated version of your account so as to 'refresh' the account on them

Can't log on to I-tunes store

I have I-tunes and can access my acct but not i-tunes store. it just says Itunes could not connect to the itunes store make sure your network settings are correct and your network connection is active, and then try again..I'm not computer saavy,so any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I finally have found someone with a problem similar to mine....not that I'm glad you're experiencing problems too. I've been trying off and on since the 15th! I've emailed the apple.com/support/itunes, which the apple people sent me to. And have heard nothing back since the acknowledgement of my email. I've been almost crying mad. I cannot for the life of me sign in and buy from the store. What angers me the most is that we're unable to speak to anyone. Unless someone knows something I don't.
I've created an account, but every single time that I try to sign in, I'm told that I haven't purchased anything yet and I'm directed to review my account, and then I have to set up my pay method, click agree and continue and then am told that I will now be directed to the itunes store...only to find myself right back on the download page. And all the while still am not signed in. I must have done this 20 times at least. And I'm not exaggerating. I've tried every single thing I can think of. I've reconfigured settings (well one) to show folders and whatever. Somebody, anybody...please please help. It would be so appreciated. Thank you so much in advance. Sylvia
