Logging in to iCloud on new phone crashes to home.

When I try to log in to icloud on the new phone (6) it crashes to the home screen each time and does not log in.  I can log in to my iCloud account on the web and I can see that my old device shows as still logged in.  Funny thing is that I did an erase all settings successfully and turned that phone in to Verizon so it is not possible I am still logged in.  Or is it?
I have tried the "log out of all browsers option but that does not work either.  I am stuck, I cannot use icloud on my new phone...
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Delete the account, then sign back in with the correct ID.  (Deleting the account only deletes it from your device, not from iCloud.)
If you are using iOS 7, when you delete the account you will have to provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iPhone.  If you don't know the password for your old ID, or if it isn't accepted, go to https//appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.  Tap edit next to the primary email account, tap Edit, change it back to your old email address and save the change.  Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address.  You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud).  Next, go back to https//appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was.  Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

  • Log In to Icloud with new ID

I have two iCloud accounts, the old one I cannot remember the password and the associated email address is non-existant. I have a new iCloud account, but I cannot sign into it on my iPhone because the Login auto populates to the old ID and I cannot get the phone to associate to the new iCloud account.

It does not matter that the old email is no longer functioning. Use
    the link providedhttps://iforgot.apple.com/password/verify/appleid
to reset the password, log in to iCloud and do the following:
Prepare your device to sell or give away
Even if you are sure you have done all those things, do them again slowly
    and in the order given.
Then you should be able to setup the iPhone as new using your new
AppleID. Be advised all media/apps/music/etc downloaded with the
old AppleID is forever tied to that ID. You cannot transfer items from one
AppleID to another nor can you merge AppleIDs. Any items paid for under
the old AppleID will have to be purchased again under the new AppleID.
If all you wanted to do was change the email associated with your Apple ID,
it is not necessary to make a new Apple ID. You can make desired changes

  • Why is it taking so long to download iCloud onto new phone

Why is it taking so long to download my iCloud onto new phone

What does download iCloud mean? You don't download iCloud. You download the content that is in your iCloud backup to your phone. If you have a great deal of content in the backup, it can take a good bit of time.
Define "so long". That doesn't mean anything to anybody here. It's a relative term and we have no idea how much time "so long" is to you.

  • How do I synchronise from iCloud onto new phone

Got a new iPhone 4S today I'd downloaded every thing to I cloud but now can't get it all on to my new phone. Can't get onto my emails and all photos lost help

If you upgraded from an older phone, restore the new phone to the backup of your old phone in order to transfer you data, settings, camera roll photos and videos, music, apps and other media to the new phone.  If you are only trying to access the data you are syncing with iCloud, rather than restoring all your settings, etc., just go to Settings>iCloud, sign in with your iCloud ID, then turn on the data you wish to sync with iCloud (Mail, Calendars, Contacts, etc.).  When you enable photo stream you will receive photos added in the last 30 days.

  • HT201269 how do i restore from iCloud on new phone?

    I have a new 4s that I got from the AT&T store.
They got me up and running by getting my contacts downloaded.
Now I've hooked up to iPhone to restore from iCloud.
Do I want to restore or do I want to back up?
I can't figure out how to get my music to migrate to my new phone.
I have backed up my old phone to the cloud.
I don't seem to be getting the automatic prompts all the articles talk about and I think it's because at the store they only did contacts.

If you backup with iTunes and you restored from the backup and the data are gone, then there is no where to retrieve them from unless you have another backup that contains those data.
Launch iTunes on the computer and go to iTunes>Preferences>Devices. You will see a window with all of your backups listed in it.
If you see a recent backup that you are certain contains the data that you need, recover deleted data from iPhone backup.
If your note is gone from iCloud.com there is only a few ways to possibly recover it.
The first things I would check is a iCloud Backup, a iTunes Backup, or a 3rd party email that may have contained the note. To restore from a iCloud or iTunes backup follow this link. This article explains how to restore a device from either back up.
Note if you have backed up since the note went missing, you will not have the note on the backup. Make sure you do not back up if trying to restore from a back up as this will back up the content without the note.
To get to the "Set up assistant" on an iOS device, you must go to Settings>General>Reset>Erase All Content and Settings. Once the phone restarts, you will be at the "Set up Assistant"

  • Hi, today I upgraded my iphone 4 to an iphone 5. I backed up and synced my data on itunes and icloud. My new iphone however reverted to my 2011 phone settings. how do i get yesterday's settings back and get my contacts and photos from icloud onto new phon

Just to give you a bit more detail. I upgraded my iphone 4 to an iphone 5 today. Last night I backed up and synced all my messages, photos and contacts on itunes and icloud. When I connected the new iphone 5 to itunes today, it somehow reverted back to my old phone settings from 2011 :S So now, I have apps, particularly games, that are incomplete. My contacts have numbers that are out of date and I have none of the photos that were taken in the past year. My 2012 messages are gone and old messages from 2011 are there. Now, all my phone data had been regularly stored and synced with itunes and icloud. So why did it revert back to 2011 phone settings and how can I get it to change to the settings that existed last night? Also all my information on icloud, how do I get that onto my new iphone? If I go on www.icloud.com and sign in, all my photos, contacts, mail and messages are there, but I have no idea how to transfer that to my new iphone 5. Any help on all of these issues would be appreciated, thanks.

In Regards to this, You possibly wont be able to get the contacts from the iPhone 4 unless there is a back up file on your computer.
The original phone would be disabled due to alot of attempts of the wrong passcode. If all your contacts are on the cloud at the moment, you would be able to just set the iPhone 4S up with iCloud on it then Turn On "Contacts".
This would be bring all the contacts down from your iCloud onto your 4S.
But you will only be able to merge your contacts with the cloud when your original iPhone either has been enabled or the passcode was entered.
If you have previously already had iCloud on that device and have contacts Turned on, you will be able to just enter the same Apple ID you used for iCLoud on your original phone and use it on your new one.
Your able to check what content your iCloud holds via www.icloud.com
If you are unable to get past the disabled screen, then unfortunately the device will have to be put into recovery mode and then restored via iTunes NOTE: This will delete all data.

  • How long to download info from icloud to new phone

Anyone have information on how long it could take to download information to a new iPhone from the iCloud. It has been an hour already. I am concerned I will be stuck between two phones with no phone tomorrow.

Back Up from original iPhone to Computer.. Then deactive original iPhone.
Connect & Activate new iPhone, then use the back up from your computer..
That's how I did mine to-day..Some Apps will not work.. Some will need downloading again..

  • I cant back up from icloud on new phone

I have got a new iphone 4s and backed up my old one with icloud. it is saying no icloud backups are compatible with the version od iOS (6.0.1) on this phone. can someone help?
is my only option to back up from itunes then?

You just need to setup your phone as new at first and upgrade ios to latest for that phone. once upgraded and it will take about an hour, you can erase phone and then restore from icloud backup.

  • Icloud adding new phone

Hi there, We have 2 ipads and my wife has an iphone 4s and I am about to move to an iphone 4s.  Currently one ipad is retrieving emails destined for me and the other for my wife, as we both have different email addresses.  What I would like to know is when I set up my new iphone 4s I dont want to share my information with my wife or vicer versa in terms of email, messages or phonebook.  We currently have 1 ID and 1 Password.  I do want to be able to share music and pictures. Thanks for you help.

If you want his phone to be connected to your photo stream, it will have to share the same iCloud account.  If he does that, if data syncing for contacts, calendars, etc. is turned on in Settings>iCloud, his data will be merge with yours and you will all get the merged data on your phones.  His phone would also be sharing the same 5GB of free space in your iCloud account, rather than having his own.  If you still want to do this, on his phone you will need togo to Settings>iCloud, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account. When prompted about what to do with the iCloud data, be sure to select Keep On iPhone.  Next, set up your iCloud account on his phone and turn on any data you want him to sync with the account (recognizing that it will be merged with yours if you do), and when prompted about merging with iCloud, choose Merge.
To automatically download apps you are downloading, you will have to set up your iTunes account on his phone rather than using his own.  If you want to do this, go to Settings>iTunes & App Stores, tap the ID, sign out, then sign back into your ID.  Then turn Automatic Downloads for Apps, etc. to On.  Note: once you turn on automatic downloads for your ID, his phone will be "associated" with your ID and he will not be able to automatically download purchases or past purchases for a different iTunes account/ID for 90 days.

  • Random Apple ID login request when using iCloud from new phone

Please help. I have logged onto my Apple ID in the set up on my iPhone 5s to restore back up from my 4s from iCloud. After I select a backup to use it asks me to enter a password for a different Apple ID that is not mine, I have never heard of and do not have the password for. I've checked and double-checked and I can't see that it is my error or a previous login etc. What can I do? Many thanks

  • I can't log into my icloud on my phone

I had to change my email address for my apple ID. It changed on everything on my computer but not my phone. I've tried to delete the icloud account from the phone but when I try to sign in, it won't accept my password. Help

    Hey there Author T!
I have an article here for you that should be able to help you address this issue:
Apple ID: What to do after you change your Apple ID
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5796
iOS 6 and later: Go to Settings > iCloud.
If you signed out before changing your Apple ID, enter your current Apple ID to sign in. The data from your iCloud account will download to your device.
If you're still signed in with your previous Apple ID:
Scroll down and tap Delete Account. Depending on what iCloud options are turned on, you'll be asked to confirm that you want to delete data from your device. To confirm, tap Delete. (If you're using iOS 7 and have Find My iPhone turned on, you'll be asked to enter the password for your previous Apple ID. Enter the password, then tap Turn Off.) The data will be deleted from your device, but not from iCloud.
Enter your current Apple ID to sign in. The data from your iCloud account will download again to your device.
Thanks for coming to the Apple Support Communities!
    Cheers,
    Braden
