  • Verizon Residential billed surcharges to his customer with his tricks

Verizon Residential billed surcharges to his customer with the tricks from verizon online bill pay system. I submitted several bill pay payments online for last month's bill, totally
about $48-$49. I indeed found the online bill pay system showed negative balance in "account balance" after I
paid several times. However, Verizon did not do with all the submit and only $43.66 was paid. Then Verizon
told me there is $3.90 balance was forwarded to this month and charged me $7 additional fee. The trick is,
verizon told that you paid full in the beginning but finally he discarded some payments and said that I still
own balance and surcharge me. This is not the first time Verzion did this. From last year there is at least
three times. In the past I talked with customer service to request waive the $7 surcharge fee. But this time
the customer service refuse. Since he refuse to waive the surcharge fee, I'd say either verizon play the
tricks to charge the customer additional fee, or at least his online bill pay system has important problem:
does not show correct balance to customer after customer paid some part of balance first. You know he told me
I paid fully then later he told me I did not. For this kind of late payment, the fault is not on customer, it
should be on Verizon himself. So I think Verizon should not charge addition fee in this case

Your issue has been escalated to a Verizon agent. Please go to your profile page for the forum, and look in the middle, right at the top where you will find an area titled "My Support Cases".
There you will find a link to the private board where you and the agent may exchange information. This should be checked on a frequent basis as the agent may be waiting for information from you before they can proceed with any actions.

  • Verizon's new FiOS GigE Wireless N Router and High Speed Internet

So I got a deal in the mail to get an upgrade to [50/25] Mbps Internet (I currently have [15/5]...when I was reviewing it on line this message came up...
Verizon will provide up to [50/25] Mbps Internet with a wired connection. If you use your Internet primarily for wireless or WiFi connections, you have the option to upgrade to Verizon's new FiOS GigE Wireless N Router which will maximize your speed delivered through your wireless connection.
Upon completion of your order, you'll be provided with information for purchasing a router at Verizon's online equipment and accessories store.
I am VERY interested in getting super fast internet...my current internet is really good but it wouldnt hurt to bump it up.  I have several devices using internet in the home...most of them wireless (including my PS3).  I currently use a Verizon Actiontec router.
So here is my question...do I really need to get the above router to take advantage of that [50/25]? Also one other thing...My house is fairly large and I would really like to have two routers...is it possible to use two routers or a setup to have one upstairs and another downstairs?
Thanks in advance for the answers!
    -Jest

There are a lot of variables that affect wireless range.
Walls, interference, other networks in the area, etc.
You don't indicate which older Actiontec you have.
Wireless capabilities also vary by Actiontec hardware revision (A,C,D,E,F,G,I).
In general, wireless range for 802.11n is somewhat less than 802.11g, even though the bandwidth is higher.
This is especially true on the 5Ghz band (which the latest Actiontec doesn;t support).
If you only need another 10 feet, you could try moving the router, or replacing the antenna with a high gain antenna.

  • Recent MCI to Verizon Residential Service conversion - Terrible

    Hi Folks,
It is my understanding that Verizon staff members do review the posting here. I hope that this is the case as I would like to share many issues that I have experienced to help improve the process and services offered by Verizon.
First, ALL of the folks that I spoke with were very pleasant on the phone including someone in India! This is about all the good news that I can offer.
Background - Happily using MCI residential services over a number of years with two accounts. MCI worked great and performed all services in a clean and efficient manner.
Forced to leave MCI services and advised via letter that Verizon would pick up in the foot steps of MCI - I also understood that I could select other phone service providers other then Verizon if I choose to. Now I wish I had!!!!!
Typical MCI services that I had:
    Caller ID
    Call Waiting Caller ID
    Three party Conference Call
    Caller announce
    Speed Dial
    Voice Mail
Call Waiting, No Answer Transfer to multiple locations with Caller announce (managed by me the user)
Email Caller ID info (Sent to places I managed i.e. Black Berry - pop mail etc)
Internet Voice Mail pickup & Play - Store
Fast Access to Voice Mail from local phone (Dial 00)
Fast Access to Voice Mail from cell phone
Easily talk to live person for any variety of issues - Trouble - Billing - Competitive discounts - Promotions
Initial conversion to MCI (ALL service available and ready the day of conversion!!!!!!!!
Now the Verizon story and Oh what a story they weave.
Contacted the conversion Team as per the conversion letter TWICE two accounts.
Discussed all of the features that I had with MCI and Verizon's features & price (Did this twice - Two accounts)
Told by Verizon conversion department that 99% of the services are the same - NOT TRUE! Further the services were included in the discounted package (NOT TRUE!)
No date provided for the conversion
Call Waiting Caller ID was not provisioned
Speed Dial is not part of the package - More dollars and wait to have this added after service was turned up
Speed Dial is crippled and not very useful - No pause control so I can not program access number pause pause pause then account code or access number or pin number etc. Most Verizon folks I talked to have no clue as to what pause is in a speed dial string (this concept has been around for over 20 years - What is with Verizon?
Three party Conf call is NOT included in package Additional cost and wait to have this added after service was turned up
Call Waiting, No Answer Transfer to multiple locations (managed by me the user) is not available
Caller announce not part of package
Told that Email Caller ID info (Sent to places I managed i.e. Black Berry - pop mail etc) is not available - Found out from friends that have Verizon service that it is available via Verizon Call Assist
Contacted Verizon one day after orders placed to insure that I would have Verizon Call Assistant - Still waiting a week later - placed over 40 calls to numbers provided by Verizon (pass me on to someone or something else i.e. automated talking systems and 12 hours of on the phone over three days!!!! Most people that I spoke to have no clue what Verizon Call Assistant is, much less getting info or placing order for it - Even though it is FREE and part of service if you like.
Verizon services turned up randomly over the past week - What happened to Your are now on Verizon and your service are ALL available!
Additional note - After holding for almost an hour to connect with a live person in the Verizon Call Assist group - I was advised that the email they offer for Voice Mail deposits Only Indicates that you have a voice mail and does not include any Caller ID info - Since this service is still not turned up I am expressing what I was told. This means I am back to the drawing board - I really need to know who called remotly (IE Black Berry etc) whether they left a VM or not. Time to start looking for a new phone company....
I'm sure I left out a few things here and there.
My frustration level is beyond belief and it's hard to put into words that are acceptable for a forum. @#$%#$%&$^#%^
I use Verizon Wireless and have for many years - They have been top notch so I thought the incumbent wireline provider (Verizon) would have its act together. Boy was I wrong.
I invite any and all responses especially any Verizon folks that really want to do something about these issues - I would be happy to discuss in detail any and all issues presented.
    Ren

Just a thought about Speed Dial -   even if there were some way to program in a pause I do not see how this would help you in dialing account numbers or pin numbers because the Speed Dial service does not actually produce call tones but simply enables the user to dial a stored phone number by pressing 1 or 2 digits instead of 10.

  • Am unable to log in to Verizon email with Firfox. I get "Unsupported Method". I am able to log in using Internet Explorer.

Firefox will not accept my log in and password on this computer. Sometimes it will log in, but I can't predict when it will. I can log in from other computers in Firefox. Can log in on this one using only IE. My wife can log in using Firefox.

FYI - This is not only a problem with Firefox. I encounter the same issue in both Chrome and Firefox. I spoke with Verizon Technical Support about the issue on Tuesday, December 19, 2011. They said they were not aware of a problem with either browser, but suggested some add-ons could cause the problem. Clearing all verizon-related cookies solves the problem for a single session only. Deleting the cookies for signin.verizon.com solves the problem for a single session, but upon logging out and trying to log back in the problem returns.
Blocking cookies from signin.verizon.com is another way to recreate the same problem.
A workaround which may help until it is fixed is to use Private Browsing sessions, which can be started with CTRL+SHIFT+N or CTRL+SHIFT+P. It is faster than deleting the cookie manually every time. :)

  • Record Number of users logged in to Portal and bring the data in to BI

    HI,
I have a requirement for identifying the number of users logging in to SRM Portal and bringing those information in to BI and reporting them
Can any one please tell me, how do i need to find those
I checked tables USR01, USR02, USR03, USR41 etc but none of them gives the proper user/server information needed,
SM04 transaction logs both user logging in to SRM server as well as SRM portal, but i need to find the underlying table for SM04, with which i can get the number of users logged in to the portal on a particular date range.
If not, can anyone please tell me what is the best way to identify number of users logged in to SRM portal on a particular date and capturing those information and bringing in to BI and reporting them in BI
    Thanks in advance

  • IT'S BEEN OVER "TWO" WEEKS STILL CANNOT GET TO LOG IN PAGE VERIZON WEB E-MAIL!

ITS BEEN OVER "2" WEEKS STILL CANNOT GET TO LOG IN PAGE TO WEBMAIL,  IT GOES TO VERIZON WIRELESS SIGN-IN PAGE.
I DO NOT EVEN HAVE VERIZON WIRELESS.
WHY IS THIS PROGRAMMING PROBLEM STILL NOT FIXED, THIS IS "UNACCEPTABLE" WE PAY OUR BILLS ON TIME FOR A SERVICE THAT IS NOT BEING PROVIDED FOR OVER "2" WEEKS.
I HAVE CALLED CUSTOMER SUPPORT THEY WENT INTO MY EMAIL CHANGED PASSWORD, ETC.  THEY CANNOT EVEN FIX THIS PROGRAMMING ERROR.
I FEEL LIKE OUR SECURITY PROGRAMMING ISSUES ARE BEING IGNORED. THIS IS A VERIZON PROGRAMMING ERROR ISSUE.  WHEN VERIZON TRIED TO CHANGE THE SECURITY SIGN-IN PAGE PROGRAM IT NOW GOES TO VERIZON WIRELESS SIGN-IN PAGE.
I GUESS THE ONLY WAY TO GET THIS ISSUE FIXED IS TO "WITHHOLD" OUR MONTHLY FEE FOR THE INTERNET PART OF OUR FIOS TRIPLE PLAY SERVICE.
VERIZON I LOVED YOUR SERVICE, HAVE BEEN A FAITHFUL CUSTOMER FOR YEARS, BUT MY PATIENCE IS WEARING OUT.
THE WEBMAIL IS WORTHLESS IF WE CANNOT ACCESS AND USE IT.
PLEASE GET THIS ISSUED RESOLVED ASAP!
    THANK YOU.

    vzretiree51 ,
Indeed, your way works also.  It would make sense my way doesn't work for you if you seperated your forum from your main account.  Ironically, I have other sub accounts that have no issues login in to the verizon.net site.  It is just the primary account.

  • When logging in to Firefox it brings up a Pogo web search page.

When I bring up Yahoo it brings up the Yahoo web page with an icon for my mail. When I log into Firefox it brings up a Pogo search page. Also, the menu bar at the bottom won't hid even though the auto-hide is marked.

Reset your Homepage to whatever web page you want.

  • Trouble logging into my Verizon router.

Just got fios in our condo and have a 9100vm router from Verizon. Internet connection is very flaky, for instance, I have to constantly input my email credentials, and game connections to steam or battlenet are constantly dropping..
Anyway, one problem/symptom is that I can't consistently log into the router.. Sometimes it lets me in othertimes not.. But whenever I am in I will get disconnected within a minute and it ask for credentials again over and over. When I am in, I see other Moca? devices that belong to the other person in our complex that has fios. Not sure if that is correct. Fios phone support said that's ok?
They replaced the router, and while the Tech was here, he couldn't even login a few times.. Finally did and then said all is ok and ran....So that didn't fix anything.
FYI, to keep it simple this happens on a wired connection, and on 3 different computers (one a ubuntu box).
Anyhelp would be appreciated, Calling fios has been a waste, I can't seem to get past tier one support folks, who have me swapping cables, and resetting the routers..been there done that at least 10 times. The last time the guy had me flush the dns and said that would take 10 minutes and to call back then..lol.
The original tech who installed this said our building has "new" setup because it uses coax cable and the copper phone line to get from the mpoe up to our condo..so they don't have to run fiber up to each unit.. Not sure if this info helps..but any advice will help, I don't want to go back to TWC..
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

OK ... so they're probably using a small DSLAM in the building ... basically a short run vDSL circuit for the internet (which can achieve speeds upwards of 52mbs).  The issue here however is that the STB's are all going to bind to one person's MoCA interface (unless they turn that off on the routers) and use that person's network for their VoD and Guide.   More importantly, there's an interesting security hole there unless they are configuring different MoCA keys or using different frequencies.   They should probably be filtering out the MoCA LAN frequencies between units so that you're not on the same network as your neighbors.
Not sure I like the security ramifications of the setup.   Would be interesting if someone who has this setup installed could post more details or configuration details from the routers.   Almost sounds like the technician didn't turn something off that they should have.  You (or your neighbor) should never be able to see each other's private LAN-side networks.
What happens if you disconnect the Coax from the router?   Do the STB's still function (Guide, VoD, etc.).   I'm betting it's not supposed to be connected in this type of setup.

  • When I log in to livejournal, it asks me if I want to remember my password. (Not firefox, LJ.) I tell it yes. This means I should NOT have to relogin at all 'cause I don't get logged OUT. Firefox NEVER brings me back logged in and IE always does.

How do I make it work the way it should? I have tons of sites I don't want to have to log into daily and this is ridiculous.

Its simply too complicated - it is NOT userfriendly and the help is a laugh.
Firefox is becomming just like any other program that does not work with humans. Like windows....

  • How do i convince Verizon to bring either DSL to my area? What can i do?

Their is no broudband where i live, their are enough people out here just nothing here, im not sure what to do.
I wish i could just try getting DSL from Verizon and see what kind of speed i can get, where i live dialup is useless no matter where the access number
    is.
Verizon is the only phone company where i live to, they own the lines for crying outloud.
I would willingly pay twice what others have to pay just to get DSL here.
    Im so despirate.
    I need something fast.
And do not sugest wireless, i refuse to be slammed with limits.. i need at least 2 gigs a day 30 days a week for all the things i need and have to do.
I tried satalite and it was a joke.
Is their a number for the main office of Verizon where i can talk to a major higher up and cry my eyes out to them?
    Im at my wits end.
And no i can not move, it simply is not a choice.
    Help please.

There does not seem to be much we can co. A few years ago Verizon stated I qualified for DSL, one of there people even teste3d my line and said
it qualified (real short distance). They gave me a start date than kept moving it for 5 months before they decided my line did not qualify. Dial up or
satilite have been my only options. So I will be going to satilite and probably cell phones. After 23 years with this same account and never a late
payment or problems Verizon would want to keep customers.

    Nevermind, got it working.
It seems I just forgot to type the rest of the clunky auto-generated network profile name.
Thanks for the quick help nonetheless!

  • Can't connect to Exchange Email  via Verizon 3G but can on wireless...

For some reason I can connect fine to our exchange server if I have the wireless enabled but I get 'Cannot get mail, connection failed' when I have the wireless turned off and am using the verizon 3G network only.  I have 4 bars of signal, too.  Anyone else have this problem?  Is their something about the verizon network that won't support MS Exchange connections?
    {edited for privacy}

I can't help with your issue since I am no expert at Exchange, but I can confirm that mine works just fine on the network.

  • Bring Back "Manage Wireless Networks" option

Manually adding a WiFi network connection is very difficult - especially when security settings need to be set in order to connect.
Please bring back the "Manage Wireless Networks" option in Network and Sharing Center.

But to add a manual Wi-Fi network connection is not that much different than before.
under Network and Sharing Center, click on "Set up a new connection or network"
double-click "Manually connect to a wireless network"
    select your connection (Network name)
    choose Security type
    choose Encryption type
    enter Security Key
choose auto connection (or not); choose hidden connection as applicable (i.e. network SSID not broadcast)
    click NEXT, etc.
Not much to "bring back" is there?

  • UNLIMITED DATA PLANS! PLEASE BRING IT BACK VERIZON TO EVERYONE!

I think Verizon should bring back the Unlimited Data Plans because, many students uses so much Data for Videos for their homework and Videos takes up so much Data and there is no way an average family can afford to pay over $100 for a 20GB more Data plan and I think it would nice of Verizon if they would bring back the Unlimited Data Plan around $59/month at least because there are some people that need it for their homes. If you would also offer Unlimited Data Plan to the Mifi service, this would be a big competition with DSL and Cable providers for home internet. When families uses so much Data for Netflix or Rhapsody and Crackle, it takes so much Data and it is important for families to have Unlimited Data Usage for this entertainment. Verizon, I am going to say this, people like me does not like to be limited on how much we use the Internet. I am thankful even on my phone I have the Grandfather Unlimited Data Plan but if you ever take it away from me, I will leave Verizon and switch to Straight Talk. I have many friends I can tell and stir up some stuff with Verizon if this ever happens to me because, my Unlimited Data Plan means so much to me, the only reason I am bringing this up, to help other people who needs it too. I think Verizon has the best Coverage of all than any other provider but all I am asking is, do not take my Unlimited Data Plan from me and please bring it back for other people who needs it. Thanks so much time your time and support. Verizon Wireless Customers, please leave comments, I would love to hear your comments and thanks and have a Great Day!

Why are fixed income families on the most expensive carrier? Let alone owning smartphones.
I don't agree with tiered data either way. I wish they would do like a flat cap of 10gb for x amount of dollars and if you go over that, then you pay more. Put a data cap that no one can realistically hit without absuing, i mean REALLY abusing the service.
There is a disadvantage to unlimited data though, the person who is streaming and downloading all day can ruin it for a whole bunch of people in that area. But hey, they don't care, as long as they get theirs right? On one end, we have the happy user paying 30 bucks a month and doing like 200gb per month, while everyone else in the area has to suffer with sub par speeds because of this one individual.
Normal counter arguments is that the premiums are high, ceo gave him self a raise, vz is in the big profits, unlimited means unlimited no matter what, and a couple others I forget. They're valid points, and i do agree that the ceo could take some of his yearly earnings and put some of it back in the network. At the same time though, aren't projects like building cell towers done on a contract basis normally? So even if he is making ridiculous bank, it would be a moot point if he had already paid for the work to be done to the network.
Government isn't gonna do squat because it's each and every company's right to structure their plans how they wish and charge however much they wish.
Again, complaining doesn't do anything. Disconnect.
