Any suggestions as to how I can make logic more stable?

It was already upgraded to Logic 7.2.1
Did it again just to be sure.
unfortunately, I am un able to re-install Logic 7.
Still the same crashes. What to do?
However, this time, couple of minutes after the crash Logic gave me a warning about detecting a possible conflict between pone or more third party MIDi or Ausio drivers.
Latest Midi and Firewire drivers for the MOTU jiust installed.
Should I change settings in MOTU firewire console or Logic?
Current settings are I/O buffer size 1024, 828's clock source is internal.
All un-essential AUs removed.
One problem is I am unable to re-install logic 7 as it was a download and is now not on Apple's site. Only installation CD's I have are my original Emagic Logic Gold ones, and that ridiculous 7.0 to 7.2 upgrade installation CD Apple made us buy.
Any help or suggestions very welcome.

  • MacBook Hard Drive crashed again and again

I've been quite annoyed by this. Firstly, I've read about the MacBook original hard drive that may crash after a while, which happened to mine. I've since changed 4 more hard drives! Firstly, I replaced the original HD (Toshiba), to Seagate, which crashed again. Then I've changed to Samsung 80GB and then decided to upgrade to 160GB, which crashed again!!!
There was no warning at all. It's like I was using my MacBook today and tomorrow when I want to start it up, the HD would just crash. Anyone has any idea what could be the problems that are causing this? I think maybe it's more than the HD itself.
    Please help.

Although it appears that I have copied everything into the music folder of my new hard drive
You need to have backed up the entire library, including the iTunes database files, to do that. If you only backed up the songs and other content displayed in iTunes, drag it into the open iTunes window instead of restoring it through the Finder; playlists and other metadata won't be preserved, as those are in the iTunes database files.

    Erase and Install
    1. Boot from your Snow Leopard Installer Disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button.  When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu.
    2. After DU loads select your hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Note the SMART status of the drive in DU's status area.  If it does not say "Verified" then the drive is failing or has failed and will need replacing.  SMART info will not be reported  on external drives. Otherwise, click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
    3. Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to one. Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID then click on the OK button. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Partition button and wait until the process has completed.
    4. Quit DU after formatting completes and return to the installer. Install Snow Leopard.
    5. After restart into Snow Leopard download and install Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1.

I just download and install itunes 10.5 and it worked good the first days but since yesterday it crashed up, and everytime i start it it crashes again and logged me out each time. it can´t acces my itunes account. I´m using snow leopard the last version. What can i do to solve this problem and and continue using my itunes normally?

Try doing it in a WIndows Safe mode - Restart computer and hit F8 key right after your see BIOS check and choose "Safe mode with networking"
    Do the SFC /SCANNOW again.
If that does not work, whilst in safe mode, download Free Malwarebyte software from CNET's Download.com.  Install, update virus definition then perform a full scan.  Remove if it did find some viruses or trojans.  Restart computer.
Back to regular windows, do the SFC /SCANNOW again.
If that doesnot work, check to see if your Hard drive has errors or bad sectors
GO START BUTTON /COMPUTER, right mouse click OS (C:) and choose "Properties"
Choose "Tools" tab and under error checking, click "Check Now".
Make sure "Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors" is checked and click start.
Restart windows will perform the above task to fix errors  This may take hours depends on how big is your Hard Drive
    Good Luck!!.

  • My iPod touch crashes. There is no rhyme or reason as to when the crash occurs. It will not reboot until reconnected to a power source. Once connected to a power source, it reboots and works well. When disconnected it will work then crash again.

My Ipod Touch 4th generation (8gb, iOS 5.1) crashes for no apparent reason. There is no rhyme or reason to when the crash occurs.
Once it crashes, the only way to reboot the iPod is to connect it to an external power source (computer or AC outlet). Once connected, it will reboot and operate normally.
When disconnected from the power source, it will operate for a variable periods of time (maybe minutes, maybe hours) then crash again. It can't be rebooted until again attached to an external power source.
Has anyone experienced a similar situation? Thanks for your help.....

I hate to let you down. I live a long way from any Apple store, so I returned the iPod to the seller. I really don't know if I'll buy another.
I know it's probably an isolated incident, but this kind of experience leaves a bad taste in your mouth.

  • I've made a photo book, but ordering this iPhoto crashes and I have to reopen the program; done this several times and each time uploading the 3rd page (of 86) it crashes again. My software is up to date (9.2.1), so that is not the problem.

Try boot into Safe Mode and try again.

  • I can send 1 or 2 messages, then it crashes and I have to close and start again.

I have had to take Windows 8 and have recently downloaded Thunderbird. When I start, it functions fine. However, after responding to two or more emails the systems crashes and tells me that Mozilla doesn't react. When I then close the application and restart it will allow me again to send several mails, when it will crash again.
It doesn't seem to have a problem with the receiving of the mails.
Thank you very much for your help,

    What is your anti-virus software?
Note, there is a difference between crashing and hanging.

  • Firefox crashes for no reason, randomly. Sometimes I can be on it for hours and its fine and sometimes it crashes over and over again.

I just purchased an HP laptop. It has Windows 8 installed on it. Ever since getting Firefox installed (with no add ons) I have been having problems. Firefox starts fine, loads fine, works fine. But then there are times when it will crash over and over again for no reason at all. Google.com is my homepage and sometimes it crashes on that.
I don't go to many pages, facebook is the main one and it crashes almost constantly now. This is the longest I've been online in 2 days.

Hello katielawrence, We're sorry to hear that your Firefox seems to be crashing. Please perform the following steps to give us a crash report ID that helps us find out more about the cause of the crash.
#Enter about:crashes in the Firefox location bar (that's where you enter your website names) and press Enter. You should now see a list of submitted crash reports.
#Copy the most recent 5 report IDs that you see in the crash report window and paste them into your forum response.
Thanks in advance for your help!

  • Is Adobe Photoshop cs3/10 still being supported?  Mac crashed and need to get up and running again.

Is Adobe Photoshop cs3/10 still being supported?  Mac crashed and need to get up and running again.  Thank you for any info on cs3. mayord

I believe if you were to ask Adobe Support they would tell you that CS3 is no longer supported by their services, if that is what you are refering to when you say "being supported".  That means they are not likely to offer assistance with you re-establishing it.
But you can probably re-establish it yourself.  If you need to download it there is a place for that available:
You can download the trial version of the software thru the page linked below and then use your current serial number to activate it.
Be sure to follow the steps outlined in the Note: Very Important Instructions section on the download pages at this site and have cookies enabled in your browser or else the download will not work properly.

  • My i tunes are crashing again and again

    hey..
i just started my mac book and its not too old  and started the the i tunes but its crashing again and again within few second.
I have no idea what to do as i am a recent apple user.

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
    Step 1
Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select
    View ▹ Show Log List
    from the menu bar.
Enter the name of the crashed application or process in the Filter text field. Select the messages from the time of the last crash, if any. Copy them to the Clipboard (command-C). Paste into a reply to this message (command-V).
When posting a log extract, be selective. In most cases, a few dozen lines are more than enough.
Please do not indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.
Important: Some private information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Anonymize before posting.
    Step 2
Still in the Console window, look under User Diagnostic Reports for crash reports related to the process. The report name starts with the name of the crashed process, and ends with ".crash". Select the most recent report and post the entire contents — again, the text, not a screenshot. In the interest of privacy, I suggest that, before posting, you edit out the “Anonymous UUID,” a long string of letters, numbers, and dashes in the header of the report, if it’s present (it may not be.) Please don’t post shutdownStall, spin, or hang logs — they're very long and not helpful.
