Logic 7.2 White noise and hiss when record enabled trak using 002r

A stange thing in logic 7.2 that nor apple or digi design can fix. Any one seen this?
The config ( my belif is that all drives and programs are the latest and greatest.)

Digi core audio 7.1.1
When I record enable a track in logic (using digi core audio) I get a very loud white noise feed back. Muting the track does nothing. I can play out of the digi core audio all day long with other apps as well as logic. the problem is record spicific. Protools works great
I have wiped my computer and installed protools then logic with no luck.

Just to confirm, you have -not- installed the CoreAudio standalone driver -and- the one that installs with ProTools? This can certainly cause problems.

I have the same problem as Pam101. I am on OS X 10.9 and Safari 7 (actually on 2 iMacs). The one iMac is fine but the other with the same versions and settings Adobe Reader will not work. What happens is the Adobe Reader icon appears on the dock, bounces once and that's it. When trying to open a .pdf file from a website a new tab is opened on Safari, the background is black and there is a pop up message (black test on a white background) that reads: "Adobe PDF Before proceeding you must first launch Adobe Acrobat and accept the End User License Agreement." This is all very well but if Adobe Reader will not launch how on earth is it possible to accept the End User License Agreement terms? Very, very annoying, especially since it all works just fine if I launch a .pdf file from a website using Chrome. What is going on here and who do I talk to in order to fix this problem - Apple or Adobe?

Have you run Software Update. You have Java already installed, but it needs to be updated.

Looks like I fixed it., thanks to another post I read. I went into my Norton Security. Under Settings. Chose Firewall. Program rules. changed the itunes setting from "auto" to "allow" This also fixed my error (-3212) which would not allow me to connect to the iTunes store.

Thanks for your response, I forgot to add that the five 3uk sims we have in use, I have tried all of them none of them are recongnised non of them have pin codes, I even purchased four more sims Tmobile (original carrier) Vodaphone, 3 and giffgaff.

The basic answer is that Apple has not programmed the capture routine with this capability. As such, you can always send QT feedback requesting this feature be added as a future enhancement.

White screen and freeze when trying to restart after downloading Mountain Lion 8.2 upgrade. Mac will not shutdown or restart without freezing on whitescreen.

Downloaded Mountain Lion update 10.8.2 last night. All went well until the message after the download – restart your mac to install this update. The screen went white and the machine didn’t restart. After waiting for quite a while, I shutdown using the main power button. Restarted iMac later and it opened in 10.8.1 and the iTunes icon informed me that I had an upgrade to 10.8.2 that required me to restart the machine to install the upgrade. I did this and again, the screen went white and froze when trying to restart. Rebooted thinking I might be OK to run in 10.8.1 and ignoring the update but when I tried this the Mac worked fine but when I came to shut down I got the white screen freeze thing again. Does anyone have any easy-to-follow solutions for this or will I have to shut down using the main power button every day?

Bootup holding CMD+r, or the Option/alt key to boot from the Restore partitirion & use Disk Utility from there to Repair the Disk, then Repair Permissions.
If that doesn't help Reinstall the OS.

IPhone makes charging noise and signal when charging but percentage won't increase

I have been having difficulties with my iPhone 4 lately. When I plug it in (both to the AC adapter in an outlet or my iMac), it makes the charging noise and gives the charging signal on the battery in the top right corner of my screen. However, the percentage never increases. I currently have no programs running.... and I just purchased a new USB cord at the Apple store. My previous iPhone 4 wasn't charging at all, so I got a new one. However, now this phone is having charging issues as well. Any suggestions as to why this is occuring or what I can do?

I would start by resettign the iPhone and seeing if that helps. Next, I would try connecting it to an AC adapter which provides at least 1.0A of chargign current. It is possible that the computer port is only providing 500 mA (or slightly higher) charging current, and that might not be enough to charge the iPhone and power the screen at the same time.
I seldom (almost never) try to charge my iPhone from teh computer port, I use a wall adapter which provides 2.0A of chargign current, and I try to reset/reboot my iPhone at least once every few weeks, if not weekly...

Weird noises and voices when I make a call

Hello. I use Skype all the time at work. I usually make international calls and sometimes receive calls. Now and then, when I make a call, I can hear some weird, very loud noises in my headphones. It's like bits and pieces of conversations mixed with crackling and bumping sounds. Meanwhile, I can also hear the phone ringing. The noises stop when the other party picks up. The problem is they are very loud and my ears hurt every time because I keep the volume pretty high so I can hear the clients answering (the volume of the conversation automatically depends on the country I call) . What could be the problem? It happens with different headsets, different computers and different internet connections.

First thing to try is to reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.
