Logic 7.2 with HD3 Accel Express and PT 7

Question

I just upgraded my system and I'm having trouble getting everything working when using Logic with TDM. The TDM setup guide is pretty sketchey. Anybody out there who can give me some instructions?
I had audio playing out of the interfaces for a while, but not it says that core audio is being used by another program (nothing else is running) and Logic never takes control of the interfaces and the digital light keeps flashing.
I want to set it up so that I can use the native Logic instruments with DAE. That means that I have to set up two mixers so that core audio can enter the TDM mixer. I've been two days on this and I just can't seem to get it figured out. I'm not a total dummy. Pro Tools is working perfectly, as are Reason and Digital Performer. All of my RTAS instruments are working in Pro Tools as well.

Hi again Steven.
Point is; The Direct TDM (DTDM) driver will function as the Core Audio driver, except for inputs. Audiotracks, instruments and busses using DTDM will run all Logic plugs and AU-plugs that the AU-manager has accepted at Logic startup. On the busses, you can put SpaceDesigner and other "shared" FX, and access them by using Sends from the DTDM audiotracks.
I do not see the reason for using Core Audio before you need additional inputs from a non-TDM interface when recording (refer to Logic Pro 7 TDM Guide on stability when using more than 2 audiodrivers). There's just a few limitations using DTDM compared to Core Audio (see manual p. 36).
I don't use Reason or DP, so I won't speak for those app's.
7thson mentioned a method of picking up the computers SPDIF output and put it into the Digi's input. I used that myself before I got ESB, and it's just fine - except you got only 1 stereo pair, and you'll ned to clean up all system sounds and other sources routed to that output. With ESB, you got 4 stereo pairs that can be treated separately.
If you don't got any sound out of the Digi-interface yet, check that you got some TDM audio tracks, and a TDM stereo output pair (Environment). Next step to get Logic's native machinery into the TDM-mixer: A DTDM-track must be outputted using the ESB in the output block. Then you need to change a pair of AUX-tracks from Core Audio to TDM - setting the ESB in the input block and the desired (preferably Output 1-2) TDM output in the output block. This is quite good described at p. 5 in the Logic Pro 7 TDM Guide. You say that ProTools is working, so the interface setup should be OK.
You can just change some excisting tracks in the native audio layer of your Environment - instead of making a separate TDMmixer-layer. It's easier to see whats going on if all audio-related are in the same layer.
