Logic 8:  Plugins that WORK!

Post plus that WORK here, not the ones that don't please.
(All latest versions updated from sites today)
Ozone
Trash
Vinyl
Spectron
Melodyne Plugin
Melodyne Studio
UAD-1 4.7.1
Liquid Mix 2.x
URS S-Series EQ

Stylus RMX
Atmosphere
Trilogy
Absynth
AIR (Kontakt Player)
Darbuka
The multi-out versions don't work on RMX or AIR (or anything 3rd party from what I can tell), I think this is a pretty confirmed bug. I'll also note that my ohmforce plugs don't work/failed validation, but I do need to update them.

  • A list of plugins that work with FCP

I have been looking around to buy some new effects and transitions for FCP, but most are not compatible, which is mind boggling because I see Programs like SOny Vegas being supported and not final cut pro.
    http://www.prodad.de/gb/adoragenewdetails.html
I see there are not many plugins that work with FCP, does anyone have a list of plugins that work with final cut pro?

Interesting - they list my free plugins, but not my commercial plugins...

  • Where can I find Java Plugin that works with Firefox 31.1 on Mac OS 10.68

I applied just release 'Java for mac OS X 10.6 Update 9'. I am running Firefox 13.1. I did not need a Java Plug-in before but Apple has changed that. Now I need to get a Java Plug-in for Firefox 13.1. I searched and looked at lots of URL, including official Java site and can not find a Java Plug-in for Firefox 13.1. Is there one and where is it?

    Hello,
please update Java using the Software update feature of Mac OS X:
Go to [Apple menu] > Software Update and check for available updates.

  • Deploying Adobe reader plugin not working

    Hi
I have an adobe reader plugin that works on my development machine. It displayes the toolbar in the "Extended" tab. I copied the .api file onto the plugins folder on another machine but the extended tab does not display. I also copied this onto the plugins folder just to test and this works.
Does anyone have any ideas? Is there some place where it(adobe reader) logs errors?.

One of the limitations of plug-ins (in many apps) is that they tend to have to be developed in the same language as the host. Otherwise the cost of converting linkages makes plug-in performance unacceptable; similar to the reason 32-bit apps have 32-bit plug-ins and 64-bit apps have 64-bit plug-ins. Acrobat is written in C/C++, hence so are plug-ins. If Acrobat was ever written in C# (unlikely while it is also on Mac), then no doubt all the plug-ins in existence would need to be rewritten in C#.
Personally, having developed many and very large Acrobat plug-ins, I don't see that C# would be an advantage. Of course what is popular and what is marketed to developers is not always what is the most practical.

  • Is there a PLII endocer Plugin that will work in Logic?

Is there a PLII endocer Plugin that will work in Logic? It seems like minnetonkaaudio.com is the place to go, but from what I can tell they don't have an Audio Units Plugin. Has anybody used anything like this in logic?
    Thanks!

I found this for you but it has got nothing to do with Audio - http://www.springerlink.com/content/u7wq6650j5q72873/
It's got something to do with rotoplasts of Cunninghamella elegans transformed cortexolone to the same products as did the mycelium
But I doubt that Logic can handle this

  • Hi! is it possible that Logic X has upgrades that work only with mavericks and does t work in mountain lion....since in my macbook pro with mavericks i have new views of the equalizer, etc and in my mac pro with mountain lion it still the old view...

Any OS version of 10.8.4 or later has all features that are not OS depended. The plugins are one example. You probably haven't updated all versions of Logic Pro X to the latest one.

  • Is there a plug-in like VocAlign that works in Logic Pro?

I would like to use a plug-in that works like VocAlign. Is there anything around that works in Logic Pro .....what does everyone else use?

I would like to use a plug-in that works like
VocAlign. Is there anything around that works in
    Logic Pro
Not that I'm aware of. Vocalign is the only thing that does what Vocalign does.
    .....what does everyone else use?
They either use Vocalign TDM inside ProTools, or use the stand alone Vocalign Project on the files and then load them back into the DAW.
One exception is Digital Performer, which has an proprietry interface to link to the Vocalign application, which can pass the files firectly between the two, which makes processing easier and quicker.

  • Flex Plugin that calls Webservice works in Internet Explorer but not firefox

I created a simple flex plugin that consumed a web service i
built and was working with it locally. I uploaded the files to the
server, and when i test the file out in internet explorer, the
plugin loads great. However when firefox or any other browser
attempts to load the same file i get "Http Request Error"? I've got
a crossdomain.xml loaded up.. here it is:
    <?xml version="1.0"?>
    <!DOCTYPE cross-domain-policy
    SYSTEM "
    http://www.macromedia.com/xml/dtds/cross-domain-policy.dtd">
    <cross-domain-policy>
    <allow-access-from domain="*" secure="false" />
    </cross-domain-policy>
Any ideas? Thanks. I should note that the webservice and the
plugin are both on the same domain.

I was playing around some more, when i yank the
crossdomain.xml, both browsers display a security error, but when i
put it back in, internet explorer is happy but firefox still spits
    out "Http Request Error"

  • Using a plugin that only works with CS3 (how to downgrade CS4 to CS3)

I work for a company that sells HP Indigo Presses
HP have produced a plugin called Smartstream Designer which is used to create varible data jobs for the press
Unfortunately at the moment, this plugin only works with Indesign CS3
I have a number of customers who have recently purchased new Apple macintosh computers and the latest version of Indesign (ie CS4)
    (1) Is there any way for them to downgrade their copy of Indesign so they can use this plugin
At some time in the future the plugin will be updated to work with CS4 and when that happens they will need to upgrade
    (2) will there be any problem performing this upgrade at a later date?
    thanks for your help

The only way to downgrade would be to find a CS3 license on the open market, an iffy proposition as authorized resellers no longer have older versions available. The CS4 license would still be fine in the future.

  • Recording Interfaces that work with Logic Studio

Hey there! I'm pretty much a noob to Logic Studio. I've been using garageband and reason 4 before that. I've had an M-Audio Fast Track that worked alright with Garageband, but it won't work with Logic, at least for me. I did some research and found out that this happened for most people.
So I was wondering, what's a good recording interface that would work well with Logic (which should then work with garageband) that works very well and worth the money that's paid for it?
    Specs:
    Macbook Pro
    version 10.5.2
2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
    2 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM
    Thanks alot.

Welcome to the forum jareddddddd, i do believe the problem your having with the M-Audio is the the drivers for intel, at the moment are Beta drivers.
Beta meaning they are going thought testing and isn't official drivers, therefore it might work or it might not.
As flood123 said the Duet will be much better, compare to low end M-Audio interface, which will sound far better and integrates well with Logic.
Also Fire-Face by R.M.E is a good interface, almost forget to mention Lavry interface which sounds way better than the two already mention that's only my opinion though.
Personally i have found it to be my preferred choice compare to Apogee low end interface that hasn't got the C77 clock work that Apogee flag-ship interface has, such as the Rossette 800 and AD/DA 16 carries.
Try and find a local music store and try out a few interface that is hook-up to L.P. by Fire wire and maybe you'll have a better choice in choosing.

  • Controller that works well with Logic??

Can anyone tell me if the M-audio icontrol will work with Logic 8? I see that it is designed for Garageband. I would love to have real controls for record, play, stop, etc... If there is a controller out there that works well with Logic, please let me know.
    Thanks,

Potential warning on the Edirol keyboards: I bought one of their earlier ones (PCR50, I think), and the keys have mostly gone bad after a couple years, despite being treated very well. There are a lot of people over at Harmony Central reporting the same problem. This new unit may have solved the problem, don't know, but I personally will think more than twice before buying another Edirol keyboard.

  • I'm looking for a freeware or affordable plugin that does this...

On a stereo track, is there a plugin that will let you select either the left channel or right channel and then solo it in mono?
I could only see something from Brainworx but it is not AU and my attempt using FXpansion's VST to AU didn't work.
Yes, I'm lazy...but also trying to be efficient as I get lots of mp4's for work with dialogue mixed in the left channel and sound fx or reference music on the right and its time consuming to convert them all the time, disconnect the stereo file and then re-import it, etc...heh heh.
    Cheers
    Ken

I know in Pro Tools, you can drag a Stereo track on to 2 mono channels and it will split it into right on channel 1 and left on channel 2.
Is there a functionality like this in Logic? I'm still new with this, but if it's the case that this exists, I think it's the best solution for this problem.
It will allow you to divide and conquer.

  • 3rd party plugins not working after archive and install

    hi,
i have a few 3rd party plugins in my logic pro, such as all the native instruments, waves diamond, ik multimedia plugins, atmosphere and a few more,
i was getting an error on my g5 when i tried to run diskwarrior from the disk. it was the kernal panic message, it said i had to restart my mac, therefore i couldnt run diskwarrior from disk.
i did a bit of research and a few people suggested doing a archive install, so i did.
well what do you know, i had to re-install logic 8 again. other programmes such as transcribe, itunes idvd imovie etc were ok.
but logic didnt load up, o i had to re-install logic again,
also before i did that i checked to see if my 3rd party plugin were working in standalone, so i check all the native instruments and they seemed to work ok, T-racks deluxe works fine, so i thought they should all load up in logic.
once logic was installed again and had to get all the updates all my 3rd party plugins did not show up on my AU validation.
is there a way to get logic to see my 3rd party plugins or do i have to re-install all of them again.
    cheers for the help
    lib

Then check if the NI AU components are actually where they should be:
    HD/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components
If not copy them over from your "previous systems" folder which was created on your HD during the archive and install process.

  • Amp Simulation + Logic + TDM/HD Hardware = Works?

    Hello
Ive spent alot of time trying to record the electric guitar (Gibson Studio -> Boss GT5 -> Marshall Overdrive -> Marshall JCM900 Amp - > Shure SM57 -> Presonus Firepod Firewire Audio Interface -> Logic Pro 7), Im finding it very difficult placing mic's around and trying to find the "sweet" spot. But as im on my own, i need to find a replacement for guitar recording.
Ive been doing some research on other latest methods and ive found, amp simulation plug-ins.
These plug-ins require extra power, as I'm using Logic Pro 7 on a Quad G5 (1GB Ram) i thought there was sufficient power for these plugins, but they require HD/TDM hardware?
I think DigiDesign create this type of hardware for there products. Does anybody know if Logic Pro 7 can uterlize DigiDesign hardware for its own purpose.
Also I don't think Logic's native plugins will work on TDM/HD hardware. Therefore is it possible for Logic to use TDM/HD hardware for plugins that require it and also use its native plugins simuteously?
Does anyone have any idea's on this? Or can they direct me to another source for possible solution.
    Many thanks.
PS. Sorry for the bad grammer, just got up.

When i posted this topic today and did another search plug-ins, and i found the Amplitube, i heard some of there sounds and im impressed.
The reason I brought TDM/HD in the equation was the use of Line 6 Amp Farm, Ive read and watched a review on this plug-in and I was amazed with the quality and realistic sound, but it required additional hardware. And your right "$8000 to get started with new TDM hardware, that's pretty hard to justify just for a guitar sound".
Ive tried using the Logic's Guitar Amp, now don't get me wrong its a brilliant plug-in, but I want a certain amp sound like a Fender/Mesa/Marshall, Ive spent hours modifying the settings but I can't achieve the sound I want.
I will try Amplitube 1.0/2.0 first. Lets hope it solves my problem.

  • Anyone Know High quality Compressor Plugin that has Sidechain?

I want to sidechain a compressor, like the one in Logic, but I want a different quality than the Logic one.
I can't find any high quality compressor plugins that take external sidechains. Sonalksis has one, but it's got a specific character and is not very tweakable.
Metric Halo ChannelStrip is supposed to have one, but they have a post in their tech support area that says it's currently not working in Logic.
Anyone know a good compressor that takes external sidechain?
I know that it can be done with any compressor by using a complicated buss/aux setup, but I want to use 3 or 4 of these, and I don't want to setup a million extra channels!
And I'd really love to find a multiband compressor that has an external sidechain!
    Thanks in advance.
