Logic 8 pro's volume meters are totally skrewed please someone help :)

is anyone else experiencing difficulties in getting the volume meters on the channel strips in the mixer view to display the correct level? how am i supposed to mix a project down if i cannot see what level everything is playing at? for example, i could have a strip turned all the way down but the meter reads it to be clipping even though its not making a single sound. someone [please help me, im about to go crazy! thanks in advance

Yes, you have Pre-Fader metering on, and it is what you want to learn to use, which is to see the truth of what is hitting the channel before the fader. Use your ears to adjust your levels. This is how we worked in the analog console/tape recorder days and it is still the best mix practice.
While it is true that you cannot technically clip the channels in 32 bit float, only the output, if in general you keep those levels under control and not going into the red, you will get a better sounding mix. You want to make sure that if you i.e. start with a Software Instrument that its output is not too hot going into i.e. a Channel EQ on the 1st insert, and that its output is not too hot going into a Compressor on the 2nd insert, etc. especially with 3rd party plug-ins that are more susceptible to sonic distortion (not clipping, I know) than Logic's included plug-ins.
There are those who disagree with this, but frankly I have yet to hear a good sounding mix from any of them.

It sounds a lot like your phone was jailbroken or hacked to unlock it before you updated.

If your fonts are changing when viewed on other computers - epecially those running windows - you need to look at using web-safe fonts...

Does your System Preferences > Displays > Color look like this?
If it does and the colors are still off you will have to click on Calibrate... and walk through all the screens and readjust your colors.

This is the most frustrating company ever! I can not turn down the volume on my Nomad Jukebox Zen Xtra and there is no customer service number to call? No one to help whatsoever? This is horrible.

Have you tried updating the firmware to make sure it isn't a software/firmware problem? It does sound like it'll be a hardware problem though unfortunately.

My iphone 4S doesn't show the volume controls when playing videos and the speakers don't sound. But if I plug in the earphones then I can hear fine and the volume controls appear on screen. Please someone help.

After a week or so of installing IOS 7 now I having this problem, the speakers don't work for videos, music or apps sounds, but they work fine for using the speaker phone. It's definitely some software issue as the volume control appears when i plug in the earphones, but disappears when unplugging them, same happens with the volume buttons on the side, they don't work when trying to use the speakers, but the work when using the earphones. Please help if you have a workaround for this. I don't want to carry my earphones all the time to listen to videos and music.

- Try cleaning out/blowing out the headphone jack. Try inserting/removing the plug a dozen times or so.

My MacBook Pro 2011 model has a backlight issue- pls someone help

I have a early 2011 MacBook pro that has a backlight issue, im able to connect it to an external monitor just fine.
Brought it to a repair shop and they swapped the screen including the lvd cable but the problem still exist.
Have already spend a lot of money to no avail. What could be the issue? :(
Apple said it only needs a new screen which doesn't seem to be true.

If it is more than one computer and both chargers are not working I suspect you need to replace.

Ok so heres the story, I have my friends macbook pro model#A1226. He bought the laptop from someone else. After having it a couple weeks (and it worked just fine, no problems whatsoever) we tried to install full tilt poker on it and relized that it had a password which would not allow us to download anything without having it (this is weird to me that we didnt have to have a password to access the whole system but just to install stuff, weird). At that time we did not have access to an operating system disk (we were told that for this computer its 10.5) and were told that we could re-install and that would reset the password. So.... I did something I should not have done. I looked up online how to bypass the password. I found a post, http://theappleblog.com/2008/06/22/reset-os-x-password-without-an-os-x-cd/ that told me to access terminal (on load up after "chime" sound to push apple+s) than type "mount -uw /" and hit enter. Than type "rm /var/db/.AppleSetupDone" and hit enter and than "shutdown -h now" and hit enter to restart. They said that this would create a new admin account and I would be able to delete the previous admin account with the password this way. Well....this may have worked except I typed the code in wrong, instead of "rm /var/db/.AppleSetupDone" I missed a space and typed "rm/var/db/.AppleSetupDone". After I typed it in wrong I still gave it the command to shutdown and when I restarted it loaded up to the grey apple screen with the thinky wheel thingy and was frozen there. It will stay like that for about 5 min and then restart itself and do the exact same thing. I found a friend who had the Mac OS X 10.5 disk and borrowed it from him but putting the disk in does nothing, I have tried pushing and holding the "C" after the chime and "C+ctrl" and no difference. Is there a way I can format everything through the terminal (since this is the only thing I can access) or does someone know a trick of some other code to type in to reset everything or did I fry the Hard Drive or what? And we dont care about saving anything on the computer, we just want it to work. Someone please please help. This is my friends computer and Im an idiot for messing with stuff I dont understand. I feel so bad. Thank you so much for your time, to whoever is so kind as to give me some of there expertise.

Welcome to Apple discussions.
Your post was hard to follow, but, for openers, very few people should EVER use terminal commands. As you have found out, you can screw a system up badly.
So much for the lecture.
OS X requires a system administrator password when anyone tries to install software that will affect the operating system. This is an Apple security feature that keeps people from, hopefully, doing dumb things to their system.
You cannot use a "friends" disk on a system that differs from your own.
Bottom line, you need to reinstall the operating system (whatever came with the system). If it is OS X 10.5, you could do an archive and install.
There is no way that I know of to undo the damage caused by entering the arcane terminal commands.

Why are my favicon's missing in Bookmarks? I updated Firefox on my iMac, and now my favicons are gone (actual bookmarks are still there) Can someone help me? I'm far from any computer techy, so please use plain language. Thank you!

The small square Bookmark button to the right of the toolbar works well and diaplays color favicons. It's the top Bookmarks button that gives me the error and shows no colored favicons. Did I possibly load a Firefox update for Windows? Is there a separate update only for MAC computers?

There is some information in there that should help you to resolve your issue. Luckily, it is a very easy fix. It should be fixed in FF 10, so it is strange that you are seeing it. Are you sure you are on the latest release?

My white ...shows up as green ... on everything...
It says it has the right amount of red and green, etc however it shows up as green on the picture and other places.
When I print it it comes out as white as it says.
