Logic and Save Feature

I have a couple of questions.
1. When they are working with just the offlline PDF, will the file still have all the logic embedded into the form?
Such as answered no to Q10 so skip to Q 12.
2. If a user is filling out the online version of the form, is it possible to save it and return to where you left off? Also, is it possible to fill out more than one form at a time (one for each case)? So in other words, I have one form in progress for case #1, and another form in progress for case #2, and I can save and return to either of them at any time?

Skip logic doesn't work on the PDF forms (see http://forums.adobe.com/docs/DOC-2013 for more information)
We do not support saving HTML form.
You can have multiple HTML forms in progress at the same time (but again you can't save them).
You can only save 'work in progress' with the PDF form.

  • My "Open" and "Save" dialog boxes in Logic Pro...

    Hi,
Wondering if you've have had this issue. My Open / Save as well as any Import dialog boxes in Logic Pro have oddly spaced columns. I resize them accordingly (I prefer Column view BTW), get them looking right by holding the "Option" key while resizing to have all columns the same width...you know, the same procedure you'd use in the finder.
Anyway, each time a dialog box appears my "Sidebar" column along the left-hand side is like 5 inches wide, and each column to the right of that is very narrow despite my setting it up the way I'd like it to look during the previous Open/Save/Import.
Is there a preference for this that I'm missing?
Thanks in advance for any help.

P.S. I'm running Logic Pro 9.1.5 in 64bit mode (32bit mode also exhibits the same behavior).  I'm running OSX Lion, 10.7.2

I posted a similar post regarding this observation.  It appears that only you and I are the only ones getting this behavior from Logic and Lion.  In all honesty, I don't think anybody cares or no one installed Lion for use with Logic yet.  In either case, it has been widely ignored.
I too tried resizing, but get the same result every time.  Its not just open and save windows, its the same with all windows.  This gets especially annoying when ad    ding samples to EXS24.  Some people have different work arounds for adding samples to most things, such as the browser side window.  Regardless of any workaround, nothing solves the remaining window space problem.  This window bug is something that should not exist within Logic.  It makes Logic look like freeware.
For many, Logic Pro X might be the ultimatum.  It might be time to jump ship.
    LGK

  • HT5824 I've been using numbers for iPad and I accidentally deleted a column. And the auto-save feature saved that and now I can't undo it. Does iCloud storage have backups of saved files from like 10 minutes ago? I have number

I've been using numbers for iPad and I accidentally deleted a column. And the auto-save feature saved that and now I can't undo it. Does iCloud storage have backups of saved files from like 10 minutes ago? I have numbers synced to iCloud.
I tried to undo it but the app crashed.
I am hoping there's like a previously saved version of my file in iCloud somewhere.

No, iOS does not do short term incremental back ups to iCloud such as you get with Time Capsule. It backs up when you do soo manually, or if set properly, when the device is plugged in and connected to WiFi. It will not have saved your changes as of 10 minutes prior.

  • I understand the design change to the whole "save as app" tab, but I feel that Save and Quit feature from the previous version of Firefox is much better than this "app tab" feature. Is there anyway for me to have this back?

Restore previous session button available on my Firefox homepage is great, but what I really want is the Save and Quit feature. I have always felt that its one of the best features of Firefox, second only to search address bar directly leading me to the actual page. I read some threads about this, and found the answers very unconvincing. One of the suggested ones was "Pin as app tab" . No, I don't want to pin every tab that I want to visit say, thrice as an app. Second suggestion was, click on the obvious button on the homepage to restore the tabs(this took me quite a while to actually see). Why this change in design? This is identical to Chrome's but its very inferior to what Firefox already had. Is there anyway, without downgrading of course, I can get that feature back?

Okay, I found the answer myself. Going to about:config and setting browser.showQuitWarning to true, restored that option and brought it back. Thanks to anyone who is about to post. If this is false by default, it has got to change.

  • My AppleTv keeps dimming as if it is in energy saver mode.  My DVD player and TV do not do this.  How do I disable the energy saver feature on AppleTv?  BTW this is my second AppleTV device so it does not appear to be a product defect.

I keep seeing versions of this same question, and it's always the same answer: it's the TV. Well, it happens to me as well. But it only happens when viewing programming via Apple TV. My cable is totally fine: no dimming. Only with Apple TV. So what's the answer?

Any suggestions that preserves a simple workflow much appreciated.

  • Validate and Save Logic in Batch

    Hello.
I would like to be able to validate and save logic, bascially, recreate the lgx file, in batch. I have created an SSIS package with an Admin Task and selected validate logic under the task type. The package runs fine, however, the lgx file is not recreated. Do I need to change a property to recreate the lgx file? Is there some other method to create the lgx file in batch?
    Thanks, Nancy

One related point that I forgot to mention -- I've never figured out a way to point to the LGF file for the default logic. Since you're not calling it from a DTS package, you can't indicate the LOGICFILE path of default.lgf
So any *SELECT and *FOR in your default logic needs to be evaluated and expanded at validation-time, not run-time.
If anyone's figured a way around that, I'd be curious to hear about it. Of course, I'm pretty sure it's a bad idea performance-wise to validate the default logic every time it's executed, but as far as I know, it's not even an option.

  • Is there a save and resume feature on Forms?

For example, the user starts to fill out a form and then wants to save and finish filling it out at a later time.

    Hi,
if your users using Acrobat they can save changes to the forms as often they want.
But if they are using Reader, you have to add additional rights (Reader Extenstions) to your form first.
Please use the search function in the forums, there are countless threads about this topic.
PS: There is also a auto-save feature you can enable with LiveCycle Designer ES3 or higher in your forms:
Adobe LiveCycle ES3 * Run-time (Form Properties dialog box)

  • TS4435 Apple's temporary fix to drag each picture in iPhoto is not really a solution for a big pic file. Better to use the save all feature and save to a temporary place before importing it to iPhoto.

Can you explain why the image size matters when dragging and dropping into iPhoto?

  • In the new Firefox 4, what happned to the save tabs and quit feature, is there a way i can still use this function?

''Duplicate post, continue here - [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/questions/815571]''
I just downloaded Firefox 4 and i had a problem about my Norton spy-ware toolbar not being compatible, but anyway the most important thing that makes me pick Firefox over any other web browser is that i am able to save tabs and then exit. I think this was the greatest things because i could leave turn my laptop off and save power and when i got back i cold resume what i as doing. My question is just will you ever have this save tabs and exit function again or at least a way people would turn the function on by will.

  • After a recent upgrade the system no longer asks me if i want to quit and save open tabs. why is that and can I do something to get this feature back?

I recently had a firefox update (withing past 3 days). Now when I go to close down my browser it only asks me if I am sure I want to close all tabs.
Previously it had asked me if I wanted to quit and save my open tabs or just quit.

You can use "Firefox > History > Restore Previous Session" to get the previous session.<br />
There is also a "Restore Previous Session" button on the default about:home Home page.<br />
Another possibility is to use:<br />
*Tools > Options > General > Startup: "When Firefox Starts": "Show my windows and tabs from last time"
You can set the warn prefs on the about:config page to true via the right-click context menu or toggle with a double left-click.
    * browser.showQuitWarning, see http://blog.zpao.com/post/3174360617/about-that-quit-dialog
    * browser.tabs.warnOnClose, see http://kb.mozillazine.org/About%3Aconfig_entries
    * browser.warnOnQuit , see http://kb.mozillazine.org/browser.warnOnQuit
    * browser.warnOnRestart , see http://kb.mozillazine.org/browser.warnOnRestart
To open the <i>about:config</i> page, type <b>about:config</b> in the location (address) bar and press the "<i>Enter</i>" key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website.<br />
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page.<br />

  • How are firefox download pause and resume features implemented? A high-level logic/algorithm would be greatly appreciated.

    ''dupe of https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1000658''
I would write a stand-alone program (supporting the pause and resume features) to download stuff from internet. Can someone provide info how this can be done?

Sorry that is beyond the scope of this Firefox user support forum. <br />

  • What happened to the "save tabs and close" feature? I loved that!

Firefox v3.x gave me the option to close with several tabs open and save them data so it would reopen to those same tabs. I can't find a way to ask FF4 to do the same thing. :-(

Firefox now always stores the old session, and you can access it by going to the History menu and selecting "Restore Previous Session"
If you want Firefox to display the message to save the session, it can be turned back on by changing some preferences.
    # Type '''about:config''' into the location bar and press enter
    # Accept the warning message that appears, you will be taken to a list of preferences
    # Locate the preference '''browser.tabs.warnOnClose''', if its value is set to '''false''', double-click on it to change its value to '''true'''
    # Repeat this for these 3 preferences '''browser.warnOnQuit''', '''browser.warnOnRestart''' and '''browser.showQuitWarning'''
If you always open the last set of tabs, an alternative approach is this:
    # Click the orange Firefox button, then select options to open the options window
    # Go to the General panel
    # Change the setting "When Firefox starts" to "Show my windows and tabs from last time"

  • Is there a way to create a PDF form that ANYONE can fill out and SAVE with their content?

Is there a way to create a PDF form that ANYONE can fill out and SAVE with their content? By anyone, I mean someone who can download and use the free Adobe Reader, on either a Mac or PC. I have Acrobat Pro, and would like to be able to create forms that can not only be filled out and printed, but saved and emailed, which is not an option with the forms I have created to date. They can be filled out, but not saved, with Adobe Reader.
    TIA,
    Nancy

To do what Dave indicated you need to do, it depends on what version of Acrobat you have:
Acrobat 8: Advanced > Enable Usage Rights in Adobe Reader
Acrobat 9: Advanced > Extend Features in Adobe Reader
Acrobat 10: File > Save As > Reader Extended PDF > Enable Additional Features
Acrobat 11: File > Save as Other > Reader Extended PDF > Enable More Tools (includes form fill-in & save)
I wonder what it will be next time?
