Logic Express installation error: no software found to install
Some of my Logic instruments wouldn't load or I would get a file not found message. So I decided to reinstall Logic. Deleted the program and iserted the disk. I go through the installation usual dialogs, location, agreement, password, etc. Then it gives me an error message at the summary:
The installation failed.
The installer could not install the software.
The installer could not install the software because there is no software found to install.
I tried restarting, and reinstalling.
Installing from a different account.
Copying the files to the hardrive (including hidden ones) but this didn't work.
I'm clueless. Help please!
My system: Macbook Pro 2.4 Ghz IC2D, 4GB DDR3, running 10.6.8, 80GB free on disk.

I had the same problem with Logic Studio 9 on an Intel Mac running Lion 10.7.2. I searched for the solution and found that this is a very common error with no solution! They generally say edit the InstallHistory.plist file in the /Library/Receipts folder. That works for someone for some reason but didn't work for me and for a lot of people.
Here's what I found: Pacifist. There's enough explanation and documentation on the web.
So, don't believe those who say your DVD was damaged. It's not.

Installation error: "MaxDB Software must be installed before ..."
Dear collegues.
During my installation of the win7 x64 trial version SP7 I get this error:
"An error occurred while processing option SAP NetWeaver 7.0 including Enhancement Package 2 > SAP Application Server ABAP > MaxDB > Central System > Central System( Last error reported by the step :Error during execution of command identifier 'XSERVER_STOP' : MaxDB Software must be installed before this class can be instantiated!"
The error occurs during step 5: installation of the MaxDB-client.
I've initiated the installation according to the guides, so I would assume that anything needed for each installation step is taken care of by the installation wizard. Thus - I assume I do not need to manually install MaxDB beforehand. Right?
Before installing the SP7 version, I tried with the SP6 version, but got the some problem. I've un-installed both, and I checked the register keys and found no entries here - allthough I'm not 100 % sure where to look.
Anyone with similar experiences?

OK - I managed to figure out a solution. It seemed that the problem was caused by an earlier but un-sucessful attempt to install miniWAS. Also I un-installed SAP GUI. After cleaning up in registry keys, delete SAP-related services (even though disabled) and deleting all SAP related files and folders, the installation worked fine.

My7 computer is running Windows 7, I have the Base installation of LabVIEW, and have Microsoft Office 2007 installed.
I have downloaded the Add-In for Microsoft Excel from:
http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/epd/p/id/2944
unzipped it successfully (66 files created)
searched for messages and updates (No notifications.)
and I get a screen reading:
Start Installation
Review the following summary before continuing.
Installation Summary
No software will be installed or removed.
The "Next" button is grayed out, leaving "Save File" "<<Back" and "Cancel"
Does anyone have a suggestion why I am unable to go any further?

Go to Solution.Are you sure it hasn't been installed before? Under Control Panel...Programs and Features...National Instruments Software...do a "Change/Remove" and look down the list for "NI TDM Excel Add-In verX.XX". If found, uninstall and re-run the installer for the newest version.

Error 404--Not Found - After Installing Essbase 11.1.2.2
Hi,
I have experienced error.
I have one box of EPM 11.1.2.2, using Windows 2008. After installing Foundation and configuring it, there's no problem at all. I can open workspace and interop as well.
However I added Essbase, installing and configuring it. But after installing Essbase, I managed to turn on Hyperion Shared Service again, it didn't work.
The error says:
Error 404--Not Found
From RFC 2068 Hypertext Transfer Protocol -- HTTP/1.1:
10.4.5 404 Not Found
The server has not found anything matching the Request-URI. No indication is given of whether the condition is temporary or permanent.
If the server does not wish to make this information available to the client, the status code 403 (Forbidden) can be used instead. The 410 (Gone) status code SHOULD be used if the server knows, through some internally configurable mechanism, that an old resource is permanently unavailable and has no forwarding address.
What I have done is reconfiguring Shared Service, Essbase also. But no luck at all.

I get itunes installer error when i try to install update 10.4.1
I have downloaded new Itunes update, but it won't install. I keep getting message to try to reinstall, but it keeps coming back with same message that the installer encountered errors during install and no changes to the configuration were made.

Installation error - File not found
Dear all,
I am installing Oracle 11gR2 on a server which is running Sun Solaris 10u8 for x64.
I have already performed all steps to prepare for the installation (both hardware and software). When running Oracle 11gR2 installer, I passed all the prerequisite checks. However, when the installation began, it met an error at "Copying files" step, please see screen shot in the following link (it said that it could not found many files in /u01/app/oracle/product/11.2.0 folder): http://www.mediafire.com/?nx3yjhdajuz
I do not what to do now to install Oracle database software successfully in this machine now, please give me suggestion if anyone know what the problem is.

There was a confuse of me between using Solaris and MS Windows.
In MS Windows, when I extract a *.zip file which is a part of a big archive file, it will extract all the others part for me. For example, if I have abc_1_of2.zip and abc_2_of_2.zip in a folder, when extracting abc_1_of_2.zip, it also extract the abc_2_of_2.zip and the result is I have a big file with "abc" as the name contains both files.
However, in Solaris, it is not the same. Today I have extracted the second part of the archive and re-do the installation and everything is OK now.

Here you have to Import the .TPZ Software Component Version SAP Basis which will comes with Installation Package.
1. Copy XI3_0_SAP_BASIS_6.40_17_00.tpz to directory /usr/sap/<SAPSID>/SYS/global/xi/repository_server/import/
2. On your SAP XI host, call transaction SXMB_IFR.
3. Choose Repository (Design).
4. Choose → Tools → Import Design Objects
2. Choose the file /usr/sap/<SAPSID>/SYS/global/xi/repository_server/import XI3_0_SAP_BASIS_6.40_15_00.tpz
5. Import the file.

I noticed your post hasn't been answered. Have you now managed to update your X10 to Android 2.1 successfully?
If not, have you tried using the Update Service program instead of PC Companion? -
UHD installation error in pybombs trying to install OP25
Hi All,
This is my first post here. I am trying to install the OP-25 software and it uses pybombs to install all versions and dependencies. During the installation of UHD I received a fatal error 12% through.
I brought this up in the OP 25 forum but they said that it was specific to UHD and to ask here.
Here is the complete script that pybombs displayed, the error is near the end.

Installation error....fresh install on a fresh clean server 2012...
Hi,
I am installing Exchange 2013, a fresh install on a fresh clean server 2012, but after copying the files, it says "Setup is preparing the necessary resources before......" and then it gives the error message as shown below:
"Exchange server is in an inconsistent state. Only disaster recovery mode is available. Please use Setup/m:RecoverServer to recover this Exchange server.".
In addition in the ExchangeSetup.log file, I see the following at the bottom of the file:

I was installing a fresh copy of server 2012 with exchange 2013 CU3 (fresh install) and was getting this exact error message. What i had done to cause this is not deleting the computer AD account
prior to setting up another server with the same host name. I deleted the AD account and setup the serve 2012 installation again using that "exchange" hostname i wanted to keep. and then ran the Exchange 2013 CU3 installer again and it worked. The problem
was i didnt remove my existing exchange server properly. Thanks for the answer in this post it steered me in the right direction.
