Logic goes to mono when recording or get low volume

Hello,
When I am recording in loop mode (audio) (green Bar at the top) after the first pass, sometimes the track that I am recording on get lower in volume or goes mono on me in my headphones. I don't know why. Never happened before I got all my updates and mountain lion. Please help.

Anyone have any guesses... I have tried a track 16 from motu and now only the 896 from motu and it is still happeneng. Maybe its a setting that I have pressed. I am lost for an answer.

After the most recent update, I've noticed a couple MAJOR changes! 1) The battery life can barely make it through half the day. I have to keep charging it no matter how little I use it. I've even turned off apps running in the background, it didn't make much difference. And 2) When the battery gets really low, at the 10% mark, it deletes contacts and settings. I've lost so many contacts all of the sudden and I constantly have to restore my iPhone. It's so frustrating! And when the battery gets low, it also deletes my e-mail account to receive e-mails on the phone. I'm tired of having to constantly reset my phone carry a charger with me, it's not reliable any longer and I'm not sure why. Help??

It appears that you have to buy the applecare within 30 days of buying your phone - you said that your phone warranty is almost over, so when did you buy it??? That could be the explanation for the error.

3GS audio records at a low volume

Hi all
ive been playing around with the video recorder on mt 3GS and the audio recording level is very low, the same is happening with the memo recorder.
The volume on the phone is turned all the way up when im playing back and this doesnt seem to help much.
Ive uploaded videos to youtube and the volume is still low.
When im using the memo recorder the VU needle hardly moves at all?
When i make calls all is fine, the other party can hear me pefectly clearly.
Im totally stumped
Anyone got any ideas?

I seem to remember someone several months ago having this same problem and I think it turned out to be the AUX cord.
FM transmitters tend to have low volume associated with them as well from my experience.

Adobe X goes into "Flattening" when printing and gets stuck at 6%, why?

When attempting to print some PDF's Acrobat X goes into "Progress" and sticks on 6% "Flattening" and does not print. when clicking on the programme it says "Not Responding". Can anyone help with this please.

The HTML Config errors that you're getting seem to be an issue with your internet browser. Can I have you start by changing your default browser on your Mac and giving the wireless configuration another attempt?
In order to change your Mac's default browser (preferably to Safari), you want to go to:
Choosing a default web browser
Open Safari (/Applications).
From the Safari menu, choose Preferences.
Click the General button.
Choose your desired browser from the "Default web browser" pop-up menu.
Mac OS X: How to change your default email application or web browser
Once your default web browser is changed to Safari, try to run the HTML Config wireless setup again.

When recording audio getting exception on MAC

I think the line which I am using for recording is using by some other application, but it's my guss only. Can any one please suggest how to solve this problem.

Getting a warning when battery power gets low.

Hello!
I would like to get a warning, like a window popping up, saying that my battery power is running low. How can this be done?
Is it possible to make my machine hibernate if I don't connect it to power if I don't react to the warning?
I'm using a Lenovo Thinkpad T400, with an updated Arch installation, running Fluxbox.

MacBook Pro becomes has spotlight problems when disk space gets low

I've noticed that when my disk space gets very low, that mds starts running all of the time bringing my laptops's performance to a crawl. I've also noticed that oddly, when I try to use spotlight for a full text search (not just from/to/subject searches) in Mail, that spotlight seems to start re-indexing immediately.
Specifically:
1) I go to mail and start a search in spotligh
2) the "message body" option is available for me to search through the entire message body
3) I select "message body" for my search, but spotlight finds no results (even though there are some)
4) the next search I do in Mail via spotlight now shows "message body" as greyed out
5) mds and associated processes suddenly start running and my mac becomes very slow
6) after some number of hours, mds stops and "message body" becomes available in Mail again for searches, but as soon as I try to use it this process repeats
I had about 10 gigs free on my disk, but after freeing up about 30 gigs this all stopped and spotlight started working again fine.

This emphasises the old guideline of having not more than about 80% of disk space used for best performance on any computer. If in doubt about which hdd to buy get the largest you can afford - probably the next size up from that!

Just curious as to if I should be charging my mac every time im using it or when the battery gets low? i just want to make my battery last.

when im not charging it I find when im doing a lot of browsing on social media and with pictures it goes through it fast kinda, and when im just writing documents it doesnt go as fast. My friend said I should only charge it when I need the computer for a long time.

Xperia Z1 mic issue (low volume) when using WeChat

Was searching this forum for a solution, but to no avail. Using Wechat on Xperia Z1 with Android 5 is impossible because mic records at very low volume and other parties strugle to hear me. Automatically reconnect to Mobile Network when coming out of Low Power mode

My Pearl 8130 automatically disables the Mobile Network when it goes into Low Power mode. Unfortunately, it does not automatically re-enable the network when it comes out of Low Power mode. It also doesn't allow me to re-enable the network immediately after I've plugged it in, only after I've plugged it in and the battery has recharged for some period of time.
This means that I frequently absent-mindedly leave my phone disconnected from the network for hours at a time, even after the battery has recharged and the phone is capable of reconnecting. This is really inconvenient and, in my opinion, a huge design flaw.
Is there some way to configure my phone so that it will automatically re-enable the network as soon as (or soon after) battery power has reached the necessary level?

Actually, newer models do behave differently and have a different threshhold for cutting off the radio.
But remember this, the 8100 is getting to be an old device... and batteries have been upgraded since it was first released, as well as technology and specs on the newer devices.
The goal of the BlackBerry in cutting off the radio is to allow reamining use of your device, and to not allow the entire battery 100% to be sucked dry. Leaving the device signal and data running at less than 15% will very quickly deplete.
So, with that said, I would still recommend topping off the battery from time to time, in your case at night, or first thing in the morning.

Receiving an automatic notification from Windows Server when disk space is low

Hello,<o:p></o:p>
Does Windows Server 2012 R2 have any such functionality built-in to enable monitoring of disk space?
We have an old VB Script file that sends me an email when disk space gets low.

Hi,
Windows Server 2012 stays the same on that topic, you still need some kind of monitoring on your disk space.
If you don't have a monitoring solution, like for example SCOM, you can for example with powershell do what you earlier did in VB script. Either you have a scheduled task that runs as often as you'd like, or you can utilize something called WMI eventing
to trigger on an event 'disk low' but thats a bit more complicated.

My battery life is getting low, what are my options?

I've had my iPod touch, 3rd or 4th Gen, now for 3 years. When the battery gets low, I plug it into a radio dock that charges while playing music. For the past few days, I will acheive a full charge, take it off the charger, and whether I use it or not, the battery only seems to last 3-5 hours, where it could last upwards of two days if I wasnt using it, but it was still on. Is it possible or practical to get a new battery or is there some app that I dont know about that will get rid of background apps that are running, or should I cut my losses and trade in for a new one? Anyone else suffer this problem? Otherwise, I am not experiencing any problems, besides the occasional blocking from Facebook app (it wont load Facebook the first time I press it, it will just start, then take me back to the home page. 3 out of 5 times I have to load up Facebook twice to get it to work). Oh! And its bee hiccuping my wifi as well, *i have a wifi signal, then I lose it, then it comes back, all within a matter of a few seconds)

Using the battery level meter in this manner is comparable to using your car's fuel gauge to calculate miles per gallon. The only thing that matters is the total amount of operating time from full charge to auto-shutdown.
Use an Apple-supplied wall.mount charger and charge overnight. Then, operate it normally until auto shut-down (ignore any low level alerts that may appear). An irony is that doing that test to determine the total operating time is also the exact procedure necessary to calibrate the battery level meter.
I'm not claiming that you do not have a problem. I am stating, however, that we don't yet know whether or not a battery problem exists.
According to Apple:
Use Your iPad Regularly
For proper reporting of the battery’s state of charge, be sure to go through at least one charge cycle per month (charging the battery to 100% and then completely running it down).
Elsewhere, Apple elaborates and explains that two half-discharges (or four quarter-discharges, etc.) equals one full discharge.

Why GarageBand records my songs in a low volume?

I don't know why, but garageband records at a lower volume. Please help!

Lower than what? What are you recording? Do you have the Auto-Normalize function turned on in GB's prefs? Then turn it off. Is your signal strong enough so you can really ride the volume high? Lots of questions you'd have to answer before we can help you.

Apogee Duet/ Logic 8 - Lose Right Channel Sound When Recording

Hi all. Using Logic Pro 8.0 on an Intel iMac, OS 10.11, with 2 Seagate Ext. FW Drives with an Apogee Duet.
Here's the problem that's recently developed and reoccurring more frequently when recording into Logic:
I plug guitar or a mic into channel 1 of the Duet ( have double checked everything connection-wise - all good)
I hear the signal from the input in both ears... everything fine so far.
I record or rehearse and all is well.
I stop the playback and then I only hear/monitor my current instrument or mic in one ear (usually the left - the right channel disappears. This has nothing to do with the headphone or speaker connections as all pre-recorded tracks are still coming out in stereo (both ears).
Sometimes if I just press play and stop, the missing side will reappear, but not always.
If I was just recording into channel 1 of the Duet and I encounter the problem, I physically unplug the source and put it into channel 2 and re-arm the input and/or the record and then I have 2 sides again... strange.
As well, when I use a Logic session template under this same setup, I can hear my guitar in both ears , but the moment I mute an effect in the channel strip I'm playing through... boom.... one ear/side is gone. I can only get it back by unmuting the effect or going through the above mentioned unplugging routine.
To sum up, I should be able to simply monitor my guitar or mic input in both ears (stereo) without it disappearing randomly. I know a guitar/mic is mono but you should be able to have it coming out both sides. It always worked until the Duet started acting up.
Lately, I also have been hearing strange artifacts and phasing when monitoring a LIVE source back through the Duet... this is intermittent but becoming more frequent. Previously recorded tracks are sounding ok.
Any tips or similar experiences? I'll give Apogee a buzz and see what they can offer.

Thanks for offering your tip... much appreciated. When setting Mono versus Stereo, are you referring to the little "circle" icons at the bottom of the channel strip, next to the "I" (input monitoring)?
I did have it set to mono, with a single meter in the mixer window channel strip and still had the right channel disappearing suddenly problem. Speaking of the mono/stereo circle icons, why is it that some channel strips show these icons but others don't? I have two guitar tracks that both play back fine, but one allows access to the mono/stereo select icon but the other doesn't display it. They're both identical in every other way.
My feeling is that this could be a Duet problem because of the thin phasey ring modulation sound and level changes that will appear suddenly while monitoring a clean input source moments after everything was just fine.
Maybe this is because I'm still on 8.0 and Tiger? I'm in the middle of a project and can't risk update problems right now. What do think about the latest Logic with Leopard....safe to do and still have access to previous Logic 8.0 session files?
