Logic instrument keeps changing on playback

Logic string instruments keeps changing to different instrument during playback even though I have re-recorded it as a particular instrument that I want. How do I fix this problem and get it to play the sound that I intend it to play originally? I am using a string sound from the Logic Library. Need to get the track to stop switching the instrument to another instrument sound during playback.

Do you mean that the strings are changing to a different articulation (ie legato to pizzicato or similar), or completely changing sounds altogether (eg strings to synth or something)?
If the former, many of Logic's Orchestra sounds repond to MIDI CC1 (Mod wheel) to change articulations. Possibly, you are recording such info, or you rcontroller is transmitting the data on "on it's own". There are usually alternative sounds available without the switching function.

Lenovo Powermanagement that includes hotkeys/icons/menu for Fn-F5 & Touchpad Driver (for full use of touchpad) basic function will work out of the box ...
If your computer sports BT & WWAN you have to download & install this drivers too...
install your desired security programm & update ...Thats the way to go at all ... basic windows 7 install...
If there is something functional missing or didnt work as it should download & install the driver for that device..

Logic keep changing midi presets

this started happening after ML upgrade, if i leave logic open and do somwthing eltse on the computer, when i go back to logic it has changed the presets on my tracks, it states that it is the preset i had but plays back a totaly diferent one?

The note velocity may noy have any effect since it depends on the Software Instrument patch and it's proramming to respond to velocity.
Which plugins? Which presets?

Windows 7 / Arch Linux Dual-Boot - win7 keeps changing the boot flag!

Greetings!
Its been a long while since I had to dual-boot with windows on the same machine.
I 've installed windows 7 and then arch linux and installed GRUB on my sda1 where the /boot partitions is located at.
I've managed to boot into arch successfully and later into windows also successfully.... but when i tried to boot into arch again I wasn't greeted with the typical GRUB boot screen... grub was ignored completely and win7 booting began as if it was the only OS in my hard drive.
I've used the gparted live cd and realized that the boot flag has changed from my /boot partition (sda1) to my windows partition (sda2). I've changed it back and I was able to boot into arch again. but when I rebooted to win7 and then to arch the same thing has happened. The boot flag keeps changing whenever im rebooting into windows making impossible for me to boot with GRUB unles I manually change the flag again.
I haven't installed GRUB into the MBR because I hear it is a bad practice when you have a windows OS also installed (something with service packs not being able to install, among other things). I also don't want to use the easyBCD method to boot arch using the win7 loader.
here is the partition scheme on my 500gb sata drive :
/dev/sda1 /boot 250mb (primary)
/dev/sda2 windows 7 ntfs 100gb (primary)
/dev/sda3 swap 4gb (primary)
/dev/sda5 / 16gb (logical)
/dev/sda6 /var 8gb (logical)
/dev/sda7 /home the rest of the hd space (logical)
What am I doing wrong and how do i prevent the boot flag from changing?

1. don't necrobump
2. as mentioned in the thread, just install grub to mbr and chainload windows. It works just fine and is the easiest way to get it working reliable.

Flash Player preference settings keep changing

Under System Preferences, my Flash Player settings keep changing every so often (every few weeks or so), in the Storage, Camera and Mic and Playback tabs.
I have all three tabs set to Block and the settings change to Allow or Ask me.
Why is this happening and what can I do to stop it?

This solved my problem partially, all I want is that Firefox keeps my Flash saves while I clear the history log.
Your way works too, now, instead of clearing the history log through the browser, I use CCleaner.

Losing Logic instrument presets between sessions

PLEASE HELP! I can't find the answer to this anywhere. Why do the instruments I use in my logic 8 sessions reset themselves when i return to the same session? I am Saving my sessions and doing all I can to retain it but when i come back to the session the instruments have changed from what i saved them as when i last left the session into what seems like random instruments. Its killing me!

cool i thought it may have been that, but surely logic by version 8 have consolidated your work space so you don't have to save every setting on every instrument? and do these settings get saved in the session folder or in some random part of the program file? i'm new to logic from cubase and reason and these things just don't make sense yet, it's regarded as one of the best though so i'll persevere. thanks a lot for the help erik!

Cap locks key only for logic instruments?

Had the misfortune of getting my upgrade to Logic 9 and having to take my synth in for servicing in the same week. So I have to use the Cap Lock's keyboard to play the instruments until I get my synth back. I have a curious problem though. The cap lock's keyboard will play logic instruments but not Zebra 2 or Battery 3. Is this normal?

Maybe you need to change Octave by pressing the numeric keys on your mac keyboard(2) (changes will displayed >(1) below)

Using hyperdraw for automation of Logic instruments

I'm pretty new to Logic and I have not figured one thing out even after browsing through these forums.
I like the drawing mode that hyperdraw offers for automation of synth parameters and such much more than the regular automation drawing.
Hyperdraw seems more like when drawing automation in Reason which I like very much.
If possible at all, how can I locate and draw automation for all the buttons and sliders on the Logic instruments (and VSTs also for that matter) in hyperdraw style?

Well, the Hyper Editor is really a MIDI editor, so you can create and edit MIDI data, including Control Change messages (like CC07 for volume or CC01 for modulation for example) - so it is like automation in that respect.
As far as I can see, using track automation is the best option because all the available parameters are there ready to automate as soon as you insert the plug in - perhaps I'm missing the point of what you want to do.

In short, when starting using a device, the Skype status changing from "invisible" to "online" - sometimes just for a moment, though enough for others to notice you. These affects very much any type of devices. I am sure the issue has already led to multiple personal crisises and potentially financial losses due to buseness partnership issues (I came close to that myself, and now use anything but Skype for business). The question is: WHY the issue is completely ignored by Skype, Microsoft and expert comunity? Hi, I also have the same issue. I change the status to Invisible and a later on it is already as "Online", without having even touched/opened Skype. The only way that I see this may happen is that I have the app installed on the smartphone, but before it never had this issue, but from some month ago it started. Any correction or suggestion to work around this issue? Regards

I would restore the iPod to factory defaults/new iPod on your computer and start over. It appears the iPod is associated with another account. Any media that came with the iPod does not belong to you and di not transfer with the iPod hardware.

Have you tried resetting the > NVRAM and PRAM

No, an external drive will not always be mounted. If the drive goes to sleep, it can unmount, or it may unmount for other reasons. As Chris said, confim that the drive is mounted and active before launching iTunes.
