Logic Not Loading Plugins on Macbook Pro

Hi Everyone,
I just bought a new Macbook Pro, installed Logic, upgraded to 7.2.2 and then installed my plugins that I have been using on my G5 with no problem. However, for some reason, most of my plugins are not showing up in the Macbook version. I know that some of them might not be compatable with the Intel system yet but some of them, like Battery and Electronic Instruments are but they're still not showing up. I know that Logic should at least recognize the plugins from Native Instruments because they are all authorized and ready to go. The plugin thingies in Plugins-Components are all there but still not being recognized. I had Logic do a rescan but only the same few plugins loaded up. I can't think of anything else to add except that any advice would be helpful.

Up like Bee Jay and Jord say. The 'problem' is that logic is running native universal binary, and the plugins are emulated under Rosetta, hence Logic won't see and load them even if you're qualified to run them.
Might be an opportunity to ***** at NI for taking so long to barf the Uni Bin versions out. Especially since they're one of the people interviewed by Apple in one of their 'how to convert plugins to uni bin' articles I posted earlier today, and they mentioned how simple it is... but still no UniBin.

  • Images NOT loading on my MacBook Pro?

Recently images stopped loading on my macbook pro. Not every site, but random or certain places. For example, when I do an image search on Shutterstock, it works fine, when I search on Thinkstock I get nothing but question marks. I have also had problems in Mail, Entourage, gmail, etc. I can't think of anything different in the past week that would have caused it. I've installed CS 5.5, but I am pretty sure this started before that.
Happens in any browser too, Safari, Firefox, Chrome, Rockmelt. I cleared caches, I also tried deleting Safari plist and starting over. Nothing is working.

Try this: add Google's DNS servers to your list of DNS entries:
This document discusses how to do it:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3408
Hope this helps - it is really strange....
BTW, what happens under a new user account?
If the problem persists, it might be an internet plugin causing the issue. To figure out which one, take a look at this document:  http://support.apple.com/kb/ts3230
The plugins would affect all browsers.

  • Downloaded facetime and the app will not load on my macbook pro. Works on my Mac desktop and Ipad great.

I tried to install the facebook app on my daughter's Macbook pro and when we try and load the program, it errors out.  Anyone seen this on their system?

    Hi All,
I'm not a computer genius, but I'm not a dummy either, and I am having the same issue.  I went to the website, and I couldn't figure out anything from it.  Can somebody please help me get started???  I also have the MacBook Pro.  Thanks!

  • AHT will not load on my MacBook Pro

I've no DVD only Internet for OSX Lion Installing. I'm conect to Internet, push D and turn on, the AHT will not Load(working)
Can Anybody hep me? I've bought this Comp used.
    THX a Lot

If this is indeed a Feb 2011 system, you have an interesting issue.
Those systems should have come with SL instead of Lion.  The seller installed Lion that he/she paid for.
But according to license agreements for Lion, the unit was supposed to have been restored to Feb 2011 OSX and the disks provided.
You cannot run Lion that another person bought, and should not have paid their "upgrade expenses" to Lion as it is not yours.
    But, legalities aside ...
There is advantage to having those gray install disks.  Those disks have hardware-specifc drivers and AHT for your specific unit.
I would ask the seller, regardless of your success with the other thread.
If the seller does not have them to give, you can call Apple and give them the serial number and a fee ($16 per disk, I think I saw).
But this could be quite a mess for you on "legal OSX".

  • Does anyone know why my 2nd gen iPod calendars will not update from my Macbook pro starting as of Oct. 20, 2012? I tried restoring to factory settings and genius's did DFR type restore....no results.

As of Oct 20, 2012, my calendars will not load from my Macbook Pro to my iPod. Tried resetting to factory settings and installing just my work calendar... unsuccessful. Genius at my Apple store tried a DFR (?) type reset... still no calendars. All other functions of the iPod is working fine. Any suggestions?

10.8.2.  And I have been keeping up with updates, but I thought they all involved fixes to Logic Pro and Aperture (but there may have been an update to OXS...is there any way to see when fixes were released?) The Genius's at our store were stumped and told me to contact Apple.... but without Apple care, I will be charged a fee.... and my iPod is in pristine shape. Is there a way to request Technical support for a problem they are possibly causing?

  • The app store is not working or loading on my Macbook Pro, iphone and ipad

The app store is not working or loading on my Macbook Pro, iphone and ipad
Today When I tried to open the app store on my ipad I found out that's the store is not working,,, It's giving me the loading screen like for ever without any error message. So I tried my Macbook and my iphone and it was the same,,,, I thought it was from the connection so I tried several different connections and It was the same.
Any Idea what is going on with the app store ?

The App Store app on your iPhone in your iPad is a different App Store than the app store app on your Mac. You use the same account for both app stores. So I would guess that the real issue is perhaps something to do with your Home Network. You might try rebooting your modem/router. Also, turn off any antiviral software, firewalls or apps such as Little Snitch.

  • I can't install my old logic 8 on my new macbook pro. It says it does not support powerpc applications anymore. what do i need to do?? this is ridiculous!!!

I can't install my old logic 8 on my new macbook pro. It says it does not support powerpc applications anymore. what do i need to do?? this is ridiculous!!!

Logic 8 will probably run on your new machine but the installation program contains some older PPC code for pre Intel Macs. This was not a problem as all OSX versions contained the "Rosetta" PPC emulation, that is, up until Lion when all PPC emulation was dropped.
There are ways to do this however, try searching Google for:  Installing Logic 8 under Lion or Mountain Lion.

  • Could not load plugins: File not found. Any solution to that?

I am using a macbook-pro 2009 which, recently upgraded to Mavericks. Since the upgrading I have been unable to open "video clips" from several sites, with the message : "Could not load plugins: File not found". I have made sure of getting the latest Adobe flashplayer and Java, but the problem is still there. Does anyone experience the same? Any solution, please .....

If you use extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) that can block content (e.g. Adblock Plus, NoScript, Flash Block, Ghostery) then make sure that such extensions aren't blocking content.
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
*Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window.

  • My WD 2tb external hard drive will not unmount from my MacBook Pro.

My WD 2tb external hard drive will not unmount from my MacBook Pro. It no longer even shows up in finder, however it does show up in Disk Utility. I have tired so many of the suggestions on the internet all to a fail.
I keep getting the message to be sure that all applications are closed before ejecting the drive. I have no clue how to tell which appliactions are using the external drive to shut them off. I turned off Time Machiene to be safe.
I don't need anything on the external drive, I am just trying to erase it, save my current info, and migrate it to my new MacBook Pro.
I have been about four days now with this issue all over the internet, in this community, and watching videos on everything and nothing about this topic to a fail.
I think I am doomed and have lossed this external drive because of some wierd application that will NEVER close on my hard drive for it to disconnect correctly. It's annoying.
    Does anyone have a solution?

Have you trie using another USB port? Can you test the USB ports with other USB devices to assure they are working? You may want to reinstall OS X in case there has been a driver glitch.
Reinstall OS X without erasing the drive
    1. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions
Boot from your Snow Leopard Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list.  In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive.  If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior and/or Tech Tool Pro to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.
    2. Reinstall Snow Leopard
If the drive is OK then quit DU and return to the installer.  Proceed with reinstalling OS X.  Note that the Snow Leopard installer will not erase your drive or disturb your files.  After installing a fresh copy of OS X the installer will move your Home folder, third-party applications, support items, and network preferences into the newly installed system.
Download and install Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1.

  • YOUTUBE NOT WORKING ON NEW MACBOOK PRO

YOUTUBE NOT WORKING ON NEW MACBOOK PRO
Every time I want to see videos from youtube the video player just says "your browser does not currently recognize any of the video formats available".
Please help I have everything possible up to date.
    Thanks!

It appears as if only some videos on YouTube will play using HTML5 and without Flash. For example, this video plays just fine for me and I do not have flash installed: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fxEWddT44BY
So, unfortunately, you will have to install flash or wait for YouTube to fix their website.
Also, one thing to try: When I had Flash installed and the "ClickToPlugin" Safari extension installed, YouTube would load all the movies in a simple HTML5 format. So no annotations or any other annoying stuff. Might be worth trying. You will have to install flash but, with the "ClickToPlugin" extension, you don't have to use Flash.

  • I cannot get facebook to load on my Macbook pro

For the last 4 days, I cannot get facebook to load on my Macbook Pro.  The only problem I can see is that I cleared the cookies and cleared the browsing history around the same time.  I can see the Zynga cookies are still in place but the games won't load once I can actually get facebook to load.  Sometimes other websites won't load either.  I am at a loss.
So, does anyone have an idea on how to get Safari to actually work so that I can get back on facebook?
