Logic of G/L account while creating initial stock.

Dear all,
When creating initial stock-trcode MB1C movement type 561- SAP requests a G/L account. I think in other material movement types, SAP requests a G/L account same as here. What is the logic here? Why SAP request G/L accounts for these processes?
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
Initial stock upload transaction MB1C does not normally require a G/L account, if MM inventory posting related customization is complete. Because inventory posting calls for auomatic account determination.
Please check whether MM inventory posing related customization (Transaction codes:OMWN & OBYC) is complete. Specifically, please check in OMWN, whether account assignment has been made for movement type 561.
If the issue is resolved please acknowledge the same.

  • Creating Initial Stock for a material

    Hello Experts,
Can you please let me know how to create some initial inventory/stock for a material in a storage location?
For eg: I have material MAT1 in Storage Location LC01 in plant PL01 and it does not have any stock. I want to create some stock for this material in storage location (LC01) for the plant (PL01) for testing purposes.
Thanks a lot for the help.

    Hi,
If this material is internal manufacturing then you have to create a process/production order(COR1) and release it and confirm it and perform Goods Receipt(101).
If the material is externally procured then you have to create Purchase Order(Me21N) and receive against it in MIGO.
You can take help of your functional consultants to perform these transactions.
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks,
    Ramesh

    Hi,
For loading HALB or FERT items (Materials with Price Control S)
correct way is to run Standard Cost Estimate and then Upload the stock with Qty only , here system will take the Standard price from the material master,
In the a/c entries you have written it appears that Material is of "S" type and price is maintained as 0 (Zero) in master that's why all the Intial stock value has gone on to PRD account,
If you are not using standard Cost estimated (or not in a position to do that) but still have the correct stock qty and value with you, what you should do is :
Change the price control to "V"
Load the stock with qty and value, (system will calculate MAP and update the Material master),and there is no question of hitting PRD account
After all the Stock is uploaded for the material , change the Price Control to "S"
system will take the prevailing MAP at this instant as Standard Price for all future transactions

  • Reconciling AD accounts while creating user

    Hi all,
During trusted reconciliation we have to provision, automatically, an Active Directory account for each created user. But, due to historical reasons, it is possible that a new user, provided by the trusted source, already has an AD account (in AD itself, not in OIM).
Our requirements are to check this when we create the user and, if the DA account exists, link it automatically to the OIM user. My question is if there is any way to do so. We have to create the AD account in OIM at this moment, we cannot wait until a target reconciliation.
    Thanks.

Seeing the thread I suppose you should rather consider process cleaning at first. Here is why I say that:
    - You said you can do *1 and 2* means creating new users and linking existing users to OIM. But in doing that you writes the value of the AD attributes in your process form. So I am clear with it.
    - Now you also say point-3 Update the AD account with the new data. What is this new data ? ? Where does it come from ? ? If you update this new data to AD Process Form then this automatically flows from process for to AD. So its automatic.
    - Now let's assume you have the new data and if your question was how to update more than one process form attributes in one go ? ?then it could be one using updateProcessFormData() API of OIM.
    - If your questions was how to update more than one attributes directly at the AD Server then you can do it using ModificationItem array. But then you again need to run AD Recon to bring up these attributes in sync with the OIM record. Here is the link you can refer to:
    http://download.oracle.com/javase/jndi/tutorial/basics/directory/modattrs.html
    Most Implementation Does the Following:
    - Run Trusted Recon for user on-boarding into OIM. This creates all existing users into OIM [ALL].
    - Run AD Target Recon for bringing all AD accounts provisioned to these users [ALL].
    - Now you are sure of the fact that their are no accounts in the AD for which their are no parent OIM users, exceptions could be the service accounts & provisioning can only be done through OIM [no manual provisioning]
    - So for all new hires, once the user is created in OIM and automatic provisioning works , their is no chance that an AD account would exist and if it's there then this a process flaw.
    Thanks
    Sunny

  • Change in logic for selecting the Bin while creating Transfer Order

    Hi ,
Currently the system follows SAP process of BIN selection which is as mentioned-
With stock removal strategy Partial Pallet Quantity (A), system follows  below  steps to find the storage bin:
1.SAP always compares the requested amount from the Transfer Order with the largest bin amount available in the stock.
2.If the requested quantity of the transfer order is the same as or larger, the system removes the material from the largest bin amount first.
3.If the requested quantity is smaller, the system removes the material from a storage unit for partial quantities in ascending order.
Now the customer has requested a change which is -
It wants to take in BIN in the FIFO order followed by partial pallet .
Question is - Is this possible ?
    Cheers
    Disha

    Hello,
May I add something to the discussion.
If you are calling "OMLJ", you see on the left side the secion "Transfer requirements". If the box for "Manual TO creation not allowed" is ticked, you are not able to create the TO's by the manual transactions. Then only the system is allowed to create the TO's, for instance with the report RLAUTA10.
I hope this anweres your question.
    Best regards

  • Issue while creating negative stocks

    Hello,
I have done the requirement setting for negative stocks in system in OMJ1 for plant 1000 ans storage location 0001. Also i have maintained indicator negative stocks in plant in material master. Now when i am trying to issue goods by 201 movement it is giving me error "deficit of quantity in storage location"" Actually it should allow to do negative stock posting with these settings. Please guide me if i am missing anything.
    Regards,
    Priyanka

There must be an inconsistency between your customizing setting and master data entry and the movement, as there is in general not more that need to be done as you already said, it seems to be equal to what is documented in Allowing Negative Stocks - Inventory Management and Physical Inventory (MM-IM) - SAP Library
So can you post the customizing and material master.

  • Initial stock entry

    Hi
While doing Initial stock entry i am getting document type WA instead of WE.
Pls tell me whether Initial stock entry is Goods Receipt, Goods Issue or Transfer Posting, so that the above can be clearly understood.
    cheers

    Hi
Initial stock entry is a goods receipt transaction only, but in SAP standard it is given the WA document type.
if you wish to change it you can change the same in OMBA
Clcik on Goods receipt document type & change the assignment of Document type for MB1C to WE
    Thanks & Regards

  • How to create intial stock of Material ?

    Hai,
How to create initial stock of materials?
    Anybody can help me?
    With Regards,
    Jaheer,saudi arabia.

Well Stock can be Initially Uploaded in Two ways :
1 Make a goods Receipt with out Purchase Order Reference Using 501 Mov type. Just go to MIGO and Select Document A01 Goods Receipt and Reference Document as Others and Give Material and Other information and Save.
2 Else Use Special Transaction MB1C 561 mov type for Initially Upload Stock.

  • Error while creating  a PO with Account assignment

    HI MM Gurus
In our case, we need to create the STO for account assignment cat `Unknown`.
In SPRO I maintained combination of account assign cat and item cat.
Now, while creating  a PO with Account assign U we get Error message -  ME069 :Unknown account assignment not defined for use here.
Please advise how to resolve this issue.

    Hi
When you are posting actuals, you need to give true account assignment object. With U (unknown), system cannot identify which account to be posted. Change account assignment in PO to another.
In standard SAP Unknown account assignment is not allowed in PO's. Only exception is Blanket PO.
Unknown is allowed only in PR and Blanket PO.
The reason is logically you are releasing the PO to the external vendor or Plant in this case you must know the account assignment.

  • TS4002 Issue for families:  How do I create separate iCloud accounts while retaining a joint iTunes account?

My family has previously used the same iTunes account.  Now that we all have apple devices, the iCloud feature is mixing our contacts, calendars and messages.  How do I set up individual iCloud accounts while retaining the current joint iTunes account (so that I can manage the payments for iTunes purchases)?  I cannot figure out how to change the current iCloud account (which is the Apple ID I have used for iTunes for years) on either my Mac or my iPhone.  It seems that once you have set your iCloud account, you cannot change it.  Any advice out there?

No: @icloud.com is an Apple email address. To create a new Apple ID you need to start with an address other than @icloud.com, from any other service. Then you go to http://appleid.apple.com and follow the procedure to create a new ID: then you can sign into System Preferences or Settings>iCloud with it. When you enable Mail in the checklist you will be asked to create a new @icloud.com address. You can't transfer an @icloud.com address from one account to another.
