Logic - Picking Up of Price for Costing purpose when 2 Pur. Info Records

Hi,
Having one Query related to Product Costing. If you can help out...
2 Purchase Info Records are there for Same Material & Plant for 2 Different Vendors & Net Price is maintained in both Info Records
1. Material M1 - Plant 1000 - Vendor A - Net Price Rs.4 (Validity of Inco Record - 28.04.2008 To 31.12.2008)
2. Material M1 - Plant 1000 - Vendor B - Net Price Rs.3 (Validity of Info Record - 01.01.08 To 31.12.2008)
Vendor A is Regular Vendor
(Ticked as Regular Vendor is his Purchase Info Record)
It is observed that Rs.3 is picked up for Costing Purposes
Requirement is that - Net Price within Pur. Info Record of Regular Vendor i.e Rs. 4 must be picked up always for Costing Puposes.
Is this possible???
What Logic system uses while picking up the Price in case where there are 2 Pur. Info Records for same Material & Plant???
Thanks & Regards...
Ameya...

Create procurement alternatives for the material for the vendor of choice using T.Code: CK91n
Now assign a mixed costing proportion using CK94. In this screen, mark that vendor with 100%. Make sure you enter the correct Qty Structure Type and periods. If an entry exists for the other vendor, delete the tick to set it to 0%
Now try costing your product.
Cheers.

  • Price for Cost Estimation - Info Records

    Hi All,
We need a clarification on how  system picks the price for COST ESTIMATION with following setting in Valuation Variant.
    1.Valuation Price from USER EXIT
    2.Price from Purchasing Info Records
    3.M A P
    4. Planned Price 1
    Sub Stratergy.
    1.Effective Price from Purchase Order
    2. Net Quotation Price
    3. Gross Quotation Price.
If we have 3 info records  with the same validity date  and different price in each for three vendor, what price will  system pick for calculating the stand cost estimation.
We have activated Material Ledger and we in ECC 6.0.
    Do suggest.
    Regards,

    Hi ajai,
I agree with your point,we have 3 info record for a material and 2 are valid as such. The price maintained in  two info records are as 7.5 & 1.0 respectively(valid info records).
The last price in the purchase order (of the info those records) are 0.41(dated on 09.04.2010)  & 0.2(dated on 19.04.2010) respectively, but when we execute the cost estimation the system picks the price of 7.5  not the least price of 0.2(as its the latest purchased price).
Do let us know why and of what logic the system picks the highest price.
    Do revert.

  • Cost Estimate with Purchase info record

    Hello Everyone,
I have a problem with Cost Estimation ( with Purchase info record), We hare using PIR ( Purchase Info records) for calculating cost estimation. These records are maintained on the base of Vendor and Material. There are some materials extended to more than one plant.Ex: Material: Mat1 are created under Plant PL1 and PL2.
Problems is when we are executing cost run with parameters Mat1 and PL1, system some times taking PL2 ( the last transaction created with that material - irrespective of the plant )transactions also, please help me how to solve this problem, my user wants, system should take the transactions only selected plants.
    Thanks & Regards

    Hi,
guess SAPNET note 713111 describes your system behaviour, additional information can be found in 351835.
Maybe a valuation strategy with "user exit" can find the info-record price you are expecting.
    Best regards, Christian

  • How to make the price in PO to adopt from info-record and not changeable?

    Hi Xperts,
Can somebody explain to me how to set the PO price to be adopted from the info-record and is NOT CHANGEABLE at the creation and change of PO screen. I know that i can configure the field selection for the PO type to be "price as display" only. Any other solution?
    Thanks.

    Hi!
tick the check box info-update at the item detail under master data tab in a PO.
    its significance is as follows:-
    Info record update
Determines whether the prices and conditions of this purchase order item
are suggested in future PO items.
    Use
Selecting InfoUpdate causes one of the following situations to occur:
            -   If just one info record (with or without plant) exists, it is
                updated.
            -   If no info record exists and "plant condition requirement" was
specified in Customizing, an info record with plant is created.
Otherwise, an info record without plant is created.
            -   If two info records exist (that is, one info record with plant
and one without plant) the info record with plant is updated.
    Dependencies
You can specify that prices and conditions in purchasing info records
are only allowed at plant level in the Purchasing IMG, under Conditions
-> Define Condition Control at Plant Level.
    Hope this helps you,

  • Price from Pur Info record not picking up

    Hi All,
We have a requirement to pick Price from Purchasing Info record for Standard Cost estimate (CK11N/CK40N).
The purchase info record has been created and price maintained in both u201CNet Priceu201D and u201CEffective Priceu201D fields in info record.
I have selected Strategy L Price from Purchasing Info record and maintained sub-strategies 3, 4 and 5 in Valuation variant:
Strategy 3 u2013 Net Quotation Price
Strategy 4 u2013 Gross Quotation Price
Strategy 5 u2013 Effective Price from Quotation
Though I maintained the above, system is not picking up price from info record in CK11N.
Am I missing anything on this?
    Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks.
    Regards,
    Sree

    Sreechakravarty,
Per your description, system picked up the price other than the Purchase Info Record price, right? If so, you can try to remove other pricing priorities while only leave the pricing priority "L", and then run CK11N again to see whether system can find the info record, otherwise system will give error message such like "can not find material price in plant code &1/batch &2".
If the system do can not find the purchase info record, you should check anything wrongly maintained to the info record such like valid period. Make sure the valuation date you entered during CK11N should be within the valid period of the info record.

  • Prompt for cost center when posting depreciation

    Hi all,
Do you know where can i enable 'Depreciation posting with cost center'? Now each time it ask for cost center.
    Thanks.

A cost center must be defined in order to post depreciation because it is posting to an expense account.  In the SAP standard setup, expense accounts must have a cost center assignment, revenue accounts must have a profit center assignment, and balance sheet accounts must have company code assignment, respectively.  To my knowledge, it would take a great deal of  FI configuration change to make the deprecation expense accounts not require a cost center (and probably unadvisable).
    Thanks,

  • Is it possible to create financial plan for cost budget when ?

    Hello Experts,
I am in situation where customer is currently using budgetory control enabled features and creating / maintaining cost budgets using oracle Form based budgets. Now after using for so many years, suddenly they choose not to use it. Instead they want financial plans to use for cost and revenue budgeting.
When We have run UPG : Upgrade budget type process it results into no data found and cannot able to help me in upgrading financial plan.
I think if the budgetory control is enable then we must need to create the cost budgets using Oracle Smart Forms. Am I rght?
If I am right then what would be work around? As I cannot ask them to create a new project & close exsting project because lots of PO & REQ are still open.
Lets say though they wanted to closed those PO & REQ and wanted to disabled budgetory control option on project they must need to diasable encumbrance acconting from Ledger. In that case what would be the overall impact? And what is gurantee whether system allow them to updgrade the budget to financial plan?
Has someone trapped and escaped from such kind of situation ever before?
    Please help...
    Thanks
    :-)

    Hi Dina,
The patch is nothing doing great but disabling the flag from the table which in turns enabling the budget types to be upgraded to financial plans very smoothly. Once updgraded, the budgets values are easily available in financial plans for reporting and further processing.
In this org, Customer is not using budgetory control functionality but in another org they are using it.
What I have learn in this situation is had it been all the budget types been upgraded first and later use in budgetory control, this situation would not have been arrived.
    Thanks
    :-)

  • Price difference between PO and the Info Record

    Dear Experts,
I am seeing a strange problem in the MM pricing, the issue is when i am trying to create a new PO for a specific material the condition record is being updated with the wrong price, when i checked the Info Record it has two prices old and new(currently valid), but when creating the PO the material is always picking the old price always, can you pl. give me a thought where the problem could be appearing ?
I tried to check all the dates, and everything is fine.
    Thanks for your valuable inputs.
    Regards,
    RK

    Hi Ravi
As you said if inforecord has 2 price 2 validity date created at the same time , in that case at table level first price and date is saved ..when old dates gets over ..in table, updation of new price is not done ..there is one program RM06INP0 which you can run and update the table with correct info record price ,so after that you can create PO and it should  pick the correct price from Info records.
    Check
    Awaiting your reply.

  • How do I record message for voicemail?  When I hit record button, Suri pops up

How do I record my outgoing message for voicemail?  When I choose "custom" then "record" Suri pops up.

    Wow...
What do expect when recording with a seventy-five cent microphone into a two dollar built-in audio chip by a person with little or no audio recording experience?
    Logic cannot perform magic.
Most users who want good (or even adequate) sound purchase external hardware which means a professional or semi-pro audio interface and at least one good microphone. Then they study or read up on best how to mic an acoustic piano. (and that's just for starters)
To answer your question, it sounds like it in a tin can because:
    1. Too much room sound causing phase problems. Sound waves are bouncing off different walls, ceiling and reaching the mic at different times and canceling out some frequencies.
    2. Mic placement, it needs to be closer to the piano, preferably the back of the piano. The closer to the piano the mic is the less room sound you will pick up.
    3. The built-in mic isn't helping... obviously.
You could've used Garageband or any number of free audio programs and gotten the same results.
Logic is a professional (or was) audio program designed to be the centerpiece of a digital audio studio but it can't make a bad recording sound good... it may be able to improve it a bit but the biggest difference will be made by educating yourself on proper recording techniques and purchasing a decent audio interface and microphone.

  • Price Determination (Pricing) Date Control in Info Record

    Hi,
Can anyone help me with the use of
Price Determination (Pricing) Date Control = 5 GR Date in Purchasing Info Record
Does this help in the following case
I have a PO for an year
Each month vendor delivers @ different amount and it is known only @ the time of delivery(with the bill)
We are ready to accept the price from vendor
So if i set Price Determination (Pricing) Date Control = 5 GR Date in Purchasing Info Record
and change the price in Info Record every time before GRN for that particular date,
will it pick the new price or the PO price
We are doing GRN wrt PO.
    Thanks and Regards

    Hi,
    Please Help
From what Esther posted i think my requirement can be met, but its not working
    My requirement is
    PO : 1000 qty, @ 10 inr per pc, for a year
first delivery they send 250 @ 10 inr per pc , GRN done wrt PO
    invoice is posted
@nd delivery say after 4 months
they send another 250 this time @ 12 inr per pc
we are accepting the price too , we do GRN wrt PO but 10 inr is adopted
but we need to do it at 12 inr per pc
I am asking whethr this can be done by maintaining '5' in price determination date contol in info record and editing the price(earlier it was 10 , now am editing it to 12) each time before GRN, will this price be adopted during GRN.
    (is there any other alternative)
note: am editing after PO and each time before GRN

  • Conditions for each Order unit in Info record

    Hi all
If I have an info record with the base UoM as NOS and Order Unit as EA, can I have different conditions for NOS and EA for the same info record? If yes, How should I create them?
    Regards
    Madhu

    Hi
I think this help documentation is saying that you can maintain multiple ordering unit and can define condition for each of those different multiple ordering units.
You can't maintain condition for base unit of measure once you have ordering unit is different than the base unit of measure.
    For example,
In info record you can give PB00 value and give the price and then in unit, you can maintain multiple ordering units. Depending on your ordering unit in PO, the price is picked up relevant to that ordering unit from info record. Similarly, you can maintain multiple conditions with different ordering untit by defining price per such different ordering units.

  • Decimal Places for Pricing conditions in Purchase info record

    Hi guys:
In the material master, Moving average price/std price  2 decimal places, purchase info records -pricing conditions we have option of 2 decimal places.
Is there any we can increase the number of decimal places .?
    Thanks
    sweth

    Hi,
you can either have high prices or high accuracy, but not both together (because field length stays fixed).
Don't think about a modification - to much changes would be necessary. I never have seen a situation, where you needed more than about 6 significant digits (= not '0'): high prices don't have decimals.
So you usually change a factor: Maintain prices for higher or smaller units to get into the correct range. Or you might use different currencies in different situations. You can also maintain prices per 100 or 1000 units (in case of cheap products).
If nothing else is possible, you might use two conditions: one without decimals, second one only decimals, the sum of both can be a very precise high price.
Better to use the option price unit if you want exact value in place.
