Logic pro 7 not finding ANY installed au, other than the preinsalled.....

I know I must be doing something wrong, but even though some of my plugins work on the new macintel, logic will not find ANY au's.
the au manager validates every instance found, but vintage warmer/battery 2.....several don't show up in logic anywhere.
what the *&^&^$ am I doing wrong???

I can confirm what jord is saying. You need plugins built for Intels, either directly or as a Universal Binary. Check with the manufacturers, the UniBins are already coming out and most will be available very soon. Don't try running your Logic as PPC on an Intel.

The LMS has no control over the playbar that pauses or plays the Captivate content.
In a Multi SCORM package, the LMS also may be showing a TOC in the SCORM player with links to launch the lesson modules. This TOC is in addition to the TOC inside the Captivate project file which gives access to sections of the module by jumping to slides that begin those sections. But the LMS doesn't usually give you any control over the look and feel or functionality of that TOC either.
If your client is adamant that they want complete control over these areas, then your best option may be NOT to build this course with Captivate but build it from the ground up with another tool. E.g. Flash, or Dreamweaver. Either way, that will add a lot more time and expense to the project. But if the client has the budget and is unwilling to budge on their requirement, then that's what I would be telling them to do.

Installing Logic Pro 9 upgrade on a different Mac than the one that Logic Studio 8 is installed on.

I have Logic Studio 8 installed on an OLD Mac Mini (10.6.8). It's not really worth the hassle to upgrade hardware (and the hardware that can be upgraded in that Mac Mini is limited). Am I entitled to the Logic Pro 9 upgrade to install on my brand new Macbook Pro using the serial number from Logic Studio 8 on the Mac Mini? Or do I need to purchase the full version of Logic Pro 9 to put on the Macbook Pro? The new Macbook Pro has never had Logic Studio 8 installed on it. (In fact it won't install because the Macbook Pro is running 10.7.2.

Just have the Serial Number from LP 8 handy for when you are asked for it...
After the install you will need to run Software update to get the Latest version of Logic 9 for Lion..

Where are the persona packages stored on a Win7 PC with FF6/7b? Also, I can not find any actual info on what the process is to create a new persona theme, all of the info I can find is rather vague and never even tries to explain anything.

I want to make a custom persona, but none of the info I find on the web actually states where or how persona packages are actually stored on a Vista/Win7 PC. I'm using FF 6 and 7beta. Where the heck are custom persona stored while they are disabled?

Since Firefox upgraded to 8.0.1 I am not getting my Roboform 2 go toolbar to load. This happened the last time Firefox updated itself. I did get it back last time, but I didn't keep my notes. Any suggestions? (other than "next time keep your notes")

Roboform 2 go loads into the Firefox and all of the information is there. The only thing missing is the tool bar.

My advice is to contact Siber Systems and ask them to add the ability for Roboform to be able to keep itself up-to-date, without the user being required to search for and do manual updates. IOW, when an update is available for Roboform, that update should be installed automatically - or at least notify the user that an update is available and provide a click-able hyperlink to install that update.
As I recall, the Roboform 6 version used a Firefox extension which was hosted at the Mozilla add-ons website, and when there was a Roboform update or security fix it would be automatically installed just like any other Firefox extension.
Plus, their extension doesn't have to be at the AMO website, Firefox will look for updates for extensions from any HTTPS (secure) connection that is set up in the extension. Firefox has the capability of looking for and automatically installong updates, but they aren't using what is built into Firefox completely.

Snoop does not show any network traffic other than own machine

Does anyone know of a way to troubleshoot a 3COM 3C900-Combo card? I reinstalled the card which lets the snoop command show activity of the machine but the card does no send or recieve (ping) any other machines onm the network. The IP and subnet are correct and the ifconfig - a shows the card as "up". Any help would be appreciated. I sur ewould like to get Solaris machine on my NT network.

Please verify if in the BIOS the settings of "PNP OS" is set to FALSE, instead of TRUE. This may help fix the problem.
If this does not resolve the problem can you please enclose a snipped output of the dmesg related to elxl0 and "ifconfig -a" output. Please confirm the sub net mask is set right. Cat /etc/netmasks to confirm.

Recently updated iphoto and now I can't find any videos made earlier than the middle of '08. I'm not sure what's going on or how to fix this. I'm fairly clueless about Macs so please help!!

I'm worried that the videos have disappeared but I'm hoping that the problem is something related to the upgrade and the new version of iphoto being unable to read the videos. I don't remember whether they are avi, mov, or something else and when I try to look in iphoto on my external drive I'm prompted to convert the photo library so the new version of iphoto can read it. I assume that would make it impossible for me to see the videos so I don't want to do it. Thanks for any help!! Kim

When a movie is imported into iPhoto it's automatically give the keyword "Movie". So create a smart album in your library with the criteria: Keyword is Movie. That will display every movie in your library and let you know if any are missing.

Most USB ports on a computer do not provide enough power to charge an iPad efficiently. The best way to charge your iPad is to use the charger that came with it and plug that into a good wall outlet.
When purchasing additional cables make sure to purchase cables from reliable and certified third party suppliers or from Apple. Cheap knock off cables are usually of poor quality and may not work properly.

From the Finder's Go menu, choose Computer:
Double-click your hard disk icon. It is usually named "Macintosh HD":
Look for this folder:
If it appears in that window, drag it to the Trash.

Please go to the following location and rename the folder to old_folder name
User/user library/Application Support and rename Adobe folder
User/user library/Preferences and rename the Adobe folder
Then go to Documents folder and Go to Adobe/Premiere pro/8.0 and rename 8.0 folder
Make sure that you are in user library if you are not sure check the link below.

When compiling Flex project with QTP automation libraries included (Flash Builder version is 4.5. QTP is 11, Adobe Flex 4.5 Plugin for HP QuickTest Pro is installed) the message as below pops up

After accepting it there is Flex application shown in IE8.
Trying to record actions in the application gives no effect while TEAPluginIE.dll and TEAPluginQTP.dll are loaded during that.
What could it be providing that TEAFlex.xml is in the directory where the TEA* dlls reside?

I took the Flex 3 ACE recently and found that the guide represents the exam content very well. It looks like there aren't a whole lot of changes in the Flex 4 ACE guidelines.
To answer your questions:
LCDS is not on the exam.
What they expect you to know about the AIR library is very basic. It amounts to simple operation of an AIR app, file system operations, customizing the native window, drag-and-drop, and security. I've never developed an AIR app and got by just fine.
Before taking the exam, I was already quite comfortable with much of Flex. Along the way I learned a few things that I haven't had a reason to touch. I found the exam to be quite easy, but I'm also a computer science guy and has also just experience Java certification which is much more difficult.
I breezed through the Training From The Source book and was happy with it. However, you will do just as well with the LiveDocs for free.

Error during start up of Premiere Pro CS6. "... could not find any capable video play modules..."

During start up of Adobe Premiere Pro CS6, I get the following error message. "Adobe Premiere Pro could not find any capable video play modules. Please update your video display drivers and start again." This does not occur on After Effects, and the program runs successfully. Premiere Pro will not open, and in the start up window the last thing the status line states before the error message occurs is: "Loading ImporterQuikTime.prm"
I have added an NVidia GPU card to my system and have installed the latest video drivers from the NVidida website (GeForce 310.70). This did not help. I have QuikTime on my computer, but am not sure if it needs to be in a certain file location.
I have also gone in to BIOS after installing the GPU and disabled internal graphics, but that did not help either. Not sure what to do next. Any suggestions?

Thank you everyone for the replies. Although I don't have a laptop, the following seems to work.
Solution 1
On Windows 7, right-click the shortcut to Adobe Premiere Pro, and choose Run as Administrator.
Using this method, Premiere Pro opened successfully. Using the shortcut directly, the error persists. It looks like we will just have to open the program using this method.

Setup did not find any hard disks installed in your computer

OK, I spent about 30 minutes looking for a solution to this and haven't found anything. I'm too lazy to keep looking, and I need to get back to work...
Setup info:
-Mac Pro (Early 2008)
-Dual 3.2Ghz processors
-32GB RAM
-RAID Card with four 1TB drives attached (RAID 5 with two volumes: one Mac OS X 10.5.3 and one Mac OS X Server 10.5.3)
-320GB SATA drive that originally came with the unit in hard drive bay 1, now installed in the 2nd optical drive bay and connected to the 5th internal SATA port. It's partitioned with BootCamp: 32.88GB for Mac OS X 10.5.3 (installed and running, used to create the BootCamp partition) and 264.71GB available for Windows.
Windows install disc:
Took my Windows XP SP1 install disc and used nLite to slipstream SP2 and SP3 and burn a new install disc.
When I boot into the Windows install disc, everything goes fine, until it actually gets to the part where I should be selecting my hard drive (Hit Enter to Install Windows) for installation. Instead , when I hit enter, I get the message that "+Setup did not find any hard disks installed in your computer. blah, blah, blah, hit F3 to restart.+"
I'm assuming this is a SATA issue and that I need to get a SATA driver slipstreamed into my install disc so that the Windows installer will see the SATA drive.
Any suggestions on how to proceed?

Everything I've read says that that won't work because I have the RAID card.
Sounds like I'm out of luck, if BootCamp can't be installed on a SATA drive not connected to one of the original 4 bays.
Also, I'm concerned about taking the RAID drives out (I'd have to take all 4 out or it corrupts the RAID setup when I stick the one back in) then putting them back in and having everything return to an All Good status.

The download was actually the successful part! I had no issues with it timing out or anything. My problem was the actual install, after the download was complete. The installer just stopped about a quarter of the way up on "Alternative Kits" and never made it to any of the other kits. I think I'll try installing them one at a time like you said, and see what happens. Hopefully it works!
