Logic Pro 9.1.4 - invalid serial code..?

Hey,
I just downloaded 9.1.4 version of Logic. I haven't updated it before and still got the 9.0.0 version.
When i downloaded the new update and try to install in I got an error-message say I have an serial code that aren't valid.
Why is that? Can anyone help me in this matter?
You all can see in this picture below what Logic says when I type in my serial code. Please help me!
Can you guide me so I can get this update to work with my Logic?
Thank you all,
Best regards,
Joakim Lundberg

  • During activation I keep receiving an invalid serial code response.

I'm trying to install the photoshop that I've purchased from the store on my Macbook Pro. When I get to the part where it asks for my serial number, it keeps saying that my serial code is invalid. I would double check, and there are no mistakes in my typing.

If you bought from a third party it is possible that the serial number is not valid. Is your serial number for a single product or a suite? Where did you buy from and what Photoshop version?

  • Photoshop CS2 and "Invalid Serial Code" Problem

Well, I recently upgraded from Windows XP to Windows 7.
Tonight I tried to install my Adobe Creative Suite CS2 (just the Reader and PS CS2)...
I got the error "The serial code is missing or invalid and Photoshop must exit."
    And it did.
So, I removed it and reinstalled it.
    Same error.
So, I tried the cleaner (that comes in the extract file) that somebody suggested on here.
I've tried various solutions from the knowledge base.
    Still no luck.
I'm grateful I've read that others are having problems with CS3 and CS4....
This will save me money... as I won't be purchasing Adobe products anytime soon.
I won't bother calling tech support. They'll tell me they no longer support CS2 and that they're sorry about that and there's nothing they can do.
    Adobe took my money once.
    It won't happen again.
    Shame on you, Adobe.

    Hi Hunt,
Thank you for the warm welcome.
I believe I've read on these forums (and I could be very wrong) that I heard others with more recent incarnations of Photoshop (eg. CS 4) have also had problems with Windows 7. Again, I could be very mistaken.
Trust me... I really do enjoy Photoshop and I WANT it to work... and perhaps I over-reacted... to think that such an "old" version would work on Windows 7. I guess after spending a few hundred dollars on a photo editing software just a few years ago, I had expectations that it would be useful for me for more than three years. (No sarcasm there... I really did hope that. )
It's good to see that Adobe has loyal customers such as yourself that would (by your own admission) "spend the entire day on hold"... I wish I had that type of time. I simply don't.
There are other photo-editing softwares out there and while I'll be disappointed to go to them... being a teacher, I just can't afford another two or three hundred dollars (and that's WITH the educators' discount) to plop down on Photoshop.
I appreciate your taking the time to respond to my post.
    Respectfully,
    Ted

  • Acrobat 9 Pro reinstallation gives message "Invalid Serial Number".

I just successfully deactivated a copy of Acrobat 9 Pro, insuring twice that I had accurately recorded the serial number.  Now, when I attempt to install it on another computer, I get the message "Invalid Serial Number.  This is not a valid serial number.  Please go back and re-enter your serial number."  This is going on a new computer for a staff member who needs the functionality of Pro so it is a big deal.

    Dave;
Short version – it stated with 9707 – however the ORIGINAL SN did start with 1118 and now mysteriously works.
Long Version – About 2 years ago, one of our attorneys left the firm.  We had purchased and installed 9 Pro on his PC while he was here and deactivated it on his computer when he left.  However, when we went to install it on another PC, we kept getting an invalid serial number message for the original number beginning with 1118.
Adobe tech support at that time gave us a number beginning with 9707 and it worked.  The computer it was installed on at that time is circa 2004 and is being taken out of service.  However, with 9 Pro still being a product that meets our business needs, we saw no reason to dispose of it and deactivated it.  When we went to install it on a new computer, we got the invalid serial number message on the 9707 serial number.
Yesterday, I dug the original cd case out of a box and entered the original serial number beginning with 1118 and this time it worked.  I know it was the correct box (out of our 20+ licenced copies of Acrobat)  because it still had my notes from my tech support call including the 9707 serial number.
Bottom line is that this issue appears to be solved now (he says with all 14 of his fingers crossed).
    Thanks for emailing me though.
    Kind regards,

  • Logic Pro 9 asking for original serial number

    Hi
    Having Logic authorization problems.
I just bought a new macbook pro. I cloned the harddrive my old macbook (running Logic 9 in OSX Lion) and then cloned to the new macbook pro.
Whn I try to open Logic Pro 9 - it asks for a serial number. When I enter the serial number from my old laptop
Logic asks for the "previous serial number or my XS key". I never had a XS key - Logic 8 was my first version.
I guess I'll to dig up my old Logic 8 installation guide (who knows where it is these days?)
Why won't the serial number form my macbook work on my new macbook pro?
    Any help is much appreciated
    thanks

It is Recommended to do a Complete ReInstall from Original Discs when using Pro Apps and not to Migrate them...
If your Logic 9 was an Upgrade from Logic 8 you will need the Serial Numbers for Both 8 & 9...
I would suggest you delete the current version of Logic 9 on your MBP and Reinstall from the Logic 9 Discs...
Then Run Software Update or go Here...
    http://support.apple.com/kb/dl1014
to download the Latest Update of Logic for Lion.
I would also recommend doing a Permissions Repair and a Restart after deleting the Migrated Logic 9 and after the Reinstall from Discs...
It may seem like a lot of work... But the Results will be well worth it...
    Cheers,

  • Logic pro 9.1.7 update serial key wrong

    Hey,
Ive bought Logic Pro 9.0.0 recently, but it didnt work on my Mac OS X lion 10.7.5.
So I upgraded it to Logic pro 9.1.7 and i have filled in the serial key, but it isnt working.
    Do you know what's wrong?

Okay. Then the next step is to check and repair your permissions via the Disk Utility....
    http://macs.about.com/od/applications/ss/firstaid_3.htm
and then try again to enter your serial...
if that doesn't work.. then I would say you need to call Apple to resolve. Make sure you have your serial for them to check as they will do so....

  • I buy logic pro but i get no serial number to license it

Hi, i buy last night logic pro in the app store . I download it and install it, but now he want an Serial number for licensing.
    i got no serialnumber!
    any idea?

App Store apps do not require serial numbers. Did you have another version of this app installed before you bought the MAS version? Did you properly remove the previous version before installing the MAS version?
If no, you will need to uninstall all of the current installation of Logic Pro and then download and install the MAS version again. Use an app remover, such as AppZapper, AppDelete or the free AppCleaner.

  • Logic Pro 9 - App Store - No Serial Number

    Hi there,
Before we get started, this is NOT a discussion about a pirated version of Logic Pro 9. I have never, not now or in the past installed any pirated software on this machine.
I just downloaded Logic Pro 9 from the Mac App Store, and it downloaded and installed just fine. However... when starting the program up, it asks me for a serial number. This is a number that I do not have. It was not emailed to me, it does not seem to exist in any of the purchase history inside the App Store or my iTunes account.
Why in the world would they let me purchase a product that apparently requires a serial number, but does not provide one at the time of purchase?
Can anyone, please PLEASE provide me with a suggestion. I don't want to have just spent all this money for nothing.
    Thanks,
    Nannou

Check in  Root/Library/Preferences for a file named   com.apple.RegLogic******.plist.  The name may differ depending on which version of Logic or Logic Express was previously installed or if you had a partial install of the AppStore version.
That file HAS to be deleted.

  • Reinstalling Acrobat Pro 11 and receive invalid serial number error

Any suggs on why this many be happening since the serial number is correct for loading?

Pam, Thank you!  the problem is not finding the serial number.  I have that by looking up my registration.  The problem I am having is when running set up for the program you get to the serial number screen.  I enter the serial number as emailed and verified by my account, then proceed with the 'next" button.  That is when I receive the message, invalid serial number not a valid serial number go back and reenter.  I try to reenter and still the same message.
Any other suggestions or do you know how to actually speak to a representative?  If not it is time to scrap my new Adobe purchase and go back to Nuance's programs.

  • Lr  "invalid serial code" ?

I want to install Lr 5 on my new laptop. I enter the correct licence number and keep getting the message "The serial number you entered is invalid. Please try again" I purchased Lr last year and have it installed on one other computer, which I want to uninstall from once it is up and running on the new machine (I understand you can have Lr installed on 2 machines under 1 license??)

You probably installed the Adobe Creative Cloud version in error. Your perpetual license will not work. Uninstall you existing copy of Lightroom this will not interfere with your Catalog, preferences or personal files, download the one from the link below and install and you key should work just fine.

  • Logic Pro: Where can I find serial #

Have used program for years. Suddenly can no longer get into the program. All numbers on Install Disc Box appear to be invalid as Serial #.

The serial number is on a little piece of paper in form of stickers. Make sure to type it correctly to not mix up digits and letters.

  • Why Does Logic Pro Repeatedly Asks for Serial # and XSKey When Started?

I've purchased and installed an upgrade to Logic Studio 9. I previously used Logic Pro 7 but did not have it installed on my MacBook Pro when I installed Logic Studio 9.
The installer asked for the Logic Studio 9 serial number which I entered and then prompted for the original serial or XSKey. I dug out the Logic 7 XSKey, plugged it in and it was accepted so I could continue with the installation which completed successfully.
    So far so good.
But now Logic Pro 9 asks for the serial number and XSKey every time I run Logic which isn't what I expect. I re-enter the new serial number and then plug in the XSKey which is accepted and the software runs as expected, but I would prefer not to have to do this every time I start the application, in particular because I don't want to carry the XSKey around with me at all times.
Why isn't Logic 9 storing my serial number? Why does it ask for the serial # and XSKey every time I start the application?
I'm not running Logic as an admin user. Could this be preventing Logic from storing the serial information?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I had this when upgrading from 7 to 8. What I did was plugin the xskey BEFORE I started the upgrade and it never asked for a key or serial again after that.

  • Logic Pro- Invalid Serial Number

    Hi,
I purchased Logic Pro preinstalled on my computer but only recently launched the installer package file. It installed fine, and I was able to run the application after entering the serial number. I opened the program several times. Then a couple days later I ran some apple updates, and when I tried launching Logic Pro again it asked for my serial number again. Only this time it said my serial number was invalid. I have been unable to open it since, and every time it asks for my serial number but when I enter it it says it's invalid. I paid for this program and am entering the serial number that was provided. What the **** is wrong with it?
Any advice would be much appreciated.

This is the first thing I thought as well.
I you got an Apple Store to configure and install your software, then you should have at least got the packaging with your serial numbers on.
If you know your license is genuine and the serial number isn't being accepted, then contact Applecare with your serial number and purchase details and they will help you.
If you just got Logic already installed on a second-hand computer with no serial number documentation, it's quite possible you have a pirate version of Logic installed with a fake serial number, and in this case, these serials numbers do get disabled in later versions of Logic, as they are widely distributed. If this is the case, then you should buy your own retail copy of Logic.
