Logic Pro 9: No sound after I save a project or open a new one!

Hi All,
I have a BIG problem and I really need HELP.
I have recently installed Native Instruments Komplete package onto my mac to use with Logic Pro.
As a coincidence now, everytime I save or open a new project I complete lose the Audio and have to therefore quit and restart Logic!
Anyone able to help? I dont want to have to work on just 1 project at a time!

Let us go through the Premiere Elements 10 Windows 8 64 bit Situation.
At the onset, please confirm that your computer is not using a NVIDIA GeForce video card. If the video card is not NVIDIA, then let us proceed. If it is, then stop and let us know.
1. Your source media are from the Canon HD20 which appears to be recording to the camera's internal hard drive.
2. If you have the camera connected via USB, I suspect that you are getting the media into Premiere Elements 10 from the camera using Premiere Elements 10 Get Media/"Flip, AVCHD, Cameras, Phones or Removable Drive"/Video Importer.
3. How do you have the Video Importer set up?
a. What do you have in the Save In: field?
b. Do you have a check mark next to Add to Timeline?
You may be importing the media from the camera into the project, but the Video Importer is saving copies to the hard drive location designated in the Video Importer Save In: It is that location that the project must trace back to? So, it is important to know just where that is? If you are getting the Media Offline colorful displays and "Where is the file...?" messages, that Video Importer Save In location is the point of disconnect as I see it.
Let us explore the above and see if we can target the cause of the problem and fix it.

Logic Pro missing EXS24 sounds after migration

I just got a new iMac and migrated Logic from my old Mac. But a LOT of the sounds I use from the EXS24 plugin are missing!
Does anybody know how I can get them back? I already tried to reinstall Logic, but the sounds are still missing.
It's weird because some of the sounds are still there, while others are missing.
My luck, most of the ones I use are the ones missing.
I don't know if other plugins are also missing stuff, so far they all seem to be EXS24 sounds.

Using MA is never a good idea with Logic as many people find themselves having the same issue.
It is always better to install Logic from scratch on a new Mac.... alongh with any 3rd party plugins and libraries and then copy over your projects etc manually...
But.. having said that, did you also download all the additional content from the Logic Pro menu bar option?

You may also need to try and rebuild your Spotlight indexes too.. but again, that doesn't always fix things...

Logic Pro Froze in the middle of saving a project. It stayed that way for 30 minutes. When I forced quit, it did not save the project, and my last save was an hour previous (including project backup files). Is there a way to recover what I did, or has that hour of work been lost?

Basically i use guides a lot when creating or editing PDFs, however when i am done editing and i save my work and close it. The next time i open up the pdf to edit, my initial guides when i created the Pdf is missing. This is really annoying. does anyone know how to fix this problem?

One you start up the new one for the first time, Setup Assistant starts and offers you the option of migrating your old Mac to your new Mac with Time Machine, among other choices, as the source. You can also use Migration Assistant (in the Utilities Folder) to do the same thing.

Logic pro not starting up after install.

Ive tried to install Logic pro twice and both time it will not start up after install. can someone tell me what is the best way to install this program correctly? should i just pay apple more money to install the program for me?

I have exactly the same problem. Whilst 8.0.1 would hang during startup without displaying the splash screen intermittently 8.0.2 crashs every time a few seconds after displaying the splash screen.
Although my computer is almost 6 years old it is perfectly adequate for audio work. I hope this is fixed soon. Unimpressed with the quality control.

I found a sound driver for Vista 32bit and the most Vista drivers also work on Windows 7 so its worth a try!!! :)

Logic Pro 8 hangs when try to save on Snow Leopard

I just installed Logic Pro 8 and got the 8.0.2 update - but I cannot get a project to Save or Save as. It hangs and I get the beach ball.
I saw a thread regarding Mobile Me so I turned all that off in preferences. Also the Event Float window is closed.
Still get the beach ball - cannot even start a project. I get one track and try to save and it crashes/hangs/beach ball.
Actually I cannot even Quit I have to Force QUit to close Logic.

Logic Pro 8: No sound from keyboard

Hello All,
I bought myself a copy of Logic Pro 7 a while back and have been struggling with what I'm sure is a simple problem, I just don't know the answer to it. I've tried the Tutoral song to learn the basics. When I select an instrument in Logic and play my keyboard, there's no sound. I can see the MIDI note events in the transport bar, if I open environment window I can see the on-screen keyboard responding to my external keyboard when I play its keys.
I'm assuming I have some setting wrong somewhere, because according to the manual I should just be able to select an instrument and start playing. I hear playback of the tutoral song fine, I have a copy of NI B4 that I can play with no problem, iTunes plays through my interface... M-Audio Firewire Audiophile
I tried everything suggested in the Logic 7 troubleshooting guide on the Apple support website to no avail.
Stumped...

This should really be in the Logic Pro 7 forum, not Logic 8, but let's overlook that for now..
You probably simply had a regular MIDI track selected, which sends MIDI out to external instruments (which it sounds like you don't have).
If you want to play Logic instruments, you must select an "Audio Instrument" track, and then load the instrument plugin you want to play in it's input slot (say, the EVP88). Now, your MIDI notes will play that instrument.
