Logic Pro 9 Unavailable for reinstall via app store in uk

My hard drive has broken and all my work was backup up. Time machine would not work originally so i have all of my files backup up using a seperate programme. I have had my hard drive replaced by apple, but now I cannot reinstall LOGIC PRO 9 from the app store as it says it is not available in the UK.
I've tried to chat to apple support online syaing I'd be waiting for 2 mins, but 20 mins later no help!
Anyone care to shed some light on this please?

Did you buy Logic Pro 9 in the Mac App Store? If you bought the DVD version, it won't be available in the store. If you did, you have to make sure that you are logged into the store with the same Apple ID you used to buy the application. It will then show up under the "Purchased" tab. If it still doesn't, you might have hidden it. This can be fixed in the account settings: Store -> "View My Account (...)"

Did you or someone else previously install Logic Pro on your Macbook... be it an earlier version or LP9 itself from disk images or DVDs?
If so, that is why it is looking for a serial number... and you need to either find that previous serial or you can try and remove the older serials and then try once more to install the App Store version of LP9.

Do I need to buy Logic Pro again...does the App store see old registrations?

Running Lion on a new MacMini Server. In the process of moving everything over from MacBook Pro. Would love to be able to download Logic Pro rather than using discs. BUT, App store doesnt reflect that I have owned a copy for many moons.

but you only need to install the main program. all content from the original disks can be installed from within Logic so you don't have to sit there swapping disks.

How to upgrade Logic Pro 8 to Logic Pro 9 by downloading from the App Store

I have Logic Studio 8 currently taking up space on my Mac and not working at all after a foolish upgrade to Lion (from a Logic point of view). I want to reconnect with it and want to upgrade to Logic 9. The question I have is that if I simply go to the store to purchase will the new package recognise I still have Logic and upgrade for me (thereby keeping my original projects)?
If possible I would want to avoid losing all my previous work but I realise it might be lost to me.
Anyone done something similar?

Thanks Organism, I was about to go ahead and download 9 when I decided for one last time to see if Logic 8 would run for me. Much to my surprise it did (and was stable) I didn't have any additional audio interfaces in my iMac that might have screwed around with the system so it might be a false dawn but at least I am able to open all my old project folders. The next challenge is to reconnect my Guitarport interface - I use this to record Guitar and Bass POD sounds into Logic. If that works and my Midi keyboard works (no reason it shouldn't really) I'll be back in business. Thanks for your post in any case.

Logic Pro 9 (the DVD version) can be installed on a notebook and a desktop (2). The Mac App Store products can be installed on all Macs that you own. If you need a volume license (e.g. for a school) you should contact Apple.

Yes it is more or less compatible, except the use of 32 bit plugins, which is prohibited from now on. So although you're able to open Logic projects as far as down to v5 I believe, it is advisable to remain for 'adding and tweaking' in your pre LPX environment.

Why Does Logic Pro Repeatedly Asks for Serial # and XSKey When Started?

I've purchased and installed an upgrade to Logic Studio 9. I previously used Logic Pro 7 but did not have it installed on my MacBook Pro when I installed Logic Studio 9.
The installer asked for the Logic Studio 9 serial number which I entered and then prompted for the original serial or XSKey. I dug out the Logic 7 XSKey, plugged it in and it was accepted so I could continue with the installation which completed successfully.
So far so good.
But now Logic Pro 9 asks for the serial number and XSKey every time I run Logic which isn't what I expect. I re-enter the new serial number and then plug in the XSKey which is accepted and the software runs as expected, but I would prefer not to have to do this every time I start the application, in particular because I don't want to carry the XSKey around with me at all times.
Why isn't Logic 9 storing my serial number? Why does it ask for the serial # and XSKey every time I start the application?
I'm not running Logic as an admin user. Could this be preventing Logic from storing the serial information?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I had this when upgrading from 7 to 8. What I did was plugin the xskey BEFORE I started the upgrade and it never asked for a key or serial again after that.

Hi .. In order to reinstall Lion, you need to use internet recovery, not re download from the App Store. Startup your Mac while holding down the Command + R keys. From there you should be able to access the built in utilities to reinstall OS X (Lion) using OS X Recovery

How do you reinstall the app store on a mac computer?

I accidentally deleted the app store on my macbook pro. How do you reinstall the app store app on your computer?

There is no Mac App Store on Mac OS X 10.6.5 or earlier.
On Mac OS X 10.6.6 through 10.6.8, run the combo updater for your OS version or a newer Snow Leopard one.
On Mac OS X 10.7 or newer, restart with the Command and R keys held down, and reinstall the OS.

Can't update iPhoto via App Store

I've tried updating iPhoto via App store, and it tells me to sign into the account I used to purchase it. I never purchased iPhoto. It came with my Mac, and I remember clicking "accept purchases" when I was setting it up. Now this button disappeared, and I can't update any of the iLife apps. Ironically, I can't even buy a new iPhoto, because the App Store says it is installed, but it does not appear in my purchases list. Tried reinstalling Lion and it tells me that my ID was not used to purchase iOS X Lion. I don't want to call Apple, since they charge me for calls I make. What can I do?

Reinstall OS X without erasing the drive
Do the following:
1. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions
Boot from your Snow Leopard Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior and/or Tech Tool Pro to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.
2. Reinstall Snow Leopard
If the drive is OK then quit DU and return to the installer. Proceed with reinstalling OS X. Note that the Snow Leopard installer will not erase your drive or disturb your files. After installing a fresh copy of OS X the installer will move your Home folder, third-party applications, support items, and network preferences into the newly installed system.
Download and install the Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1.

I am unable to use Iboost app, when i try to use it, I get an error "iBoost App is damaged" and reinstall from app store. I get the same error even after installing a fresh copy. Need help to resovle this issue.

“iBoostUp.app” is damaged and can’t be opened. Delete “iBoostUp.app” and download it again from the App Store.
Because of the above error, i am not able to use iboostup application. I have even tried to reinstall from app store, but the issue still continues.

Perhaps the damaged file is an auxiliary file outside the app bundle and stored elsewhere on your Mac. Try deleting the app and all it files with an app for that purpose. Afree one is AppCleaner;
