Logic stopped loading new AU plugins
Hi,
The title says it all, really. Logic (9.1.3) still loads my long-installed plugins (Omnisphere, VSL) but any new plugins, whether added with an installer or dropped into the Components folder (such as TapeHead), are simply ignored by Logic when launching. When removing Omnisphere or VSL from the Components folder, these plugins do not load, so it seems the app is actually still scanning the folder. It just doesn't load anything new. What could be causing this?

I bet you are running Logic in 64 bit mode... Only 64 bit compatible plugins will be scanned. To validate your plugins, quit Logic, set it to 32 bit, start Logic, new plugins will be scanned, quit Logic, set back to 64 bit, start Logic, plugins will now be there.

Thank you for your reply. Yes I was attempting to import images from the card reader. Indeed, they did import. However, the organizer failed to load; also I did not get the question to confirm that I did want the photos to be erased from the card.
I experimented and this operation failed once more, in the same manner.
However, all is curently working as it should. I don't have any idea for the failure nor for the current correct operation of photoshop. Again though, thank you for your input. -
Version 3.6.18. Running on Windows XP Pro. (kept current)
This happens on a variety of pages. I get the little Loading thing in the tab, with the circle moving. So I X out (to exit Firefox). When I go to restart I get the error message "Another version of FireFox is running, but not responding". I give Windows the "three finger salute", and go to Task Manager, and do not see any reference to Firefox, and the Performance, and Processes seem OK. But it never seems to close the earlier Firefox, and won't let me open a new one. Any suggestions? Super Thanks for your help!Hi Andis.
First of all, this is completely normal behavior, although it's a bit irritating, I know. What happens is that when you close Firefox, despite the window disappearing right there and then, Firefox keeps running for a little bit until the whole closing procedure is completed. This can take a fraction of a second on fast computers, or can take a few seconds on slow computers or when Firefox is storing a large session (if you save your tabs). All you have to do is wait a bit until Firefox closes, and then open it again.
To see if it's still running, you can press CTRL+SHIFT+ESC and then, under the Processes tab, you can see if firefox.exe is still there. If it's taking an unusual amount of time to close (which happens very rarely, and only if the browser freezes on exit), you can force the application to terminate from this application (task manager).
Firefox 4.0 will reduce by 97% the time it takes firefox.exe to close, so this problem will be basically erased for Firefox's next version.
Until then, I can recommend you this extension, which helps you restart your browser more easily and without bothering about closing times:

How can I get aperture to restart loading pictures from my camera? 2 weeks ago; my camera (nikon D60) and aperture worked well together. last saturtday Aperture would not upload some new photos taken that day. I recieved an error message stating the photo files were not uploaded. The apple store staff was no help at all this time( they usually are very good) should i delete/trash the app and start over?

This is where it is getting hazy for me. I'm assuming either the import window opens automatically or you click the import button. Either way you say that Aperture indicates that your camera is present and again, I'll have to assume you mean that it is present in the import window...
Do the thumbnails from the camera appear? Are you able to check the images you would like to import? When you click the import button is when you receive the message that Aperture did not import the images?

Thank's for the respones. Found out that Aperture runs great on at least 2 gig of ram. Just installed 4 gig. All of my issues have vanished. Moving on the the next day. -
IPhone mail app stopped loading new emails
Hello,
since two days I recognized increased Battry consumption.
Found out that the IOS mail app is the reason for.
Once mail launched, app says loading - the internet access circle appears and nothing happens.
Same happens with my wife's iPhone.
We're both on IOS 7.0.4
I have an 4s, my wife iPhone 4.
I have configured 3 mail accounts
T-Online and Gmail using Exchange profile and activesync and Outlok.com IMAP.
My wife is only using Gmail - same setup.
Normal retart or cold restart - nothing changes, no connection/update of emails.
Strange is that my iPAD 2 using same 3 accounts also on IOS 7.0.4 is working properly.
Tried to delete the Gmail account - iPhone preferences stopps at deleteing account.
No idea what this issue is cause by.

HelmutYou want to access your gmail through the gmail server by deleting your account, put in your email again but put it through gmail hopefully this works good luck

I'm having trouble loading new .pdf's into iBooks.
I've been storing .pdf's in my iPad since version 1 and I love the organizational features (though I'd like to be able to edit name and author in the iPad). Unfortunately, it has stopped loading new .pdf's smoothly. I frequently have to click "open in iBooks" multiple times. Sometimes it never makes it there at all. Sometimes it shows up and then vanishes. I've even been able to eMail it from iBooks between when it shows up and when it disappears. I've tried restarting. Please help.
Back up all data.
Quit Safari. In the Finder, select Go ▹ Go to Folder... from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-G. Copy the line of text below into the box that opens, and press return:
/Library/Internet Plug-ins
From the folder that opens, remove any items that have the letters “PDF” in the name. You may be prompted for your login password. Then launch Safari and test.
If you still have the issue, repeat with this line:
~/Library/Internet Plug-ins
If you don’t like the results of this procedure, restore the items from the backup you made before you started. Relaunch Safari again. -
Firefox will just stop loading/ connecting to the internet. The gray circle will just continually move but it never turns green to load the pages. I know it's not my internet because my internet explorer works just fine while this is happening to firefox. So I close firefox and then try to re open it but I get the message: Firefox is already running, but is not responding. To open a new window, you must first close the existing Firefox process, or restart your system. So I wait a little bit then try and re open it and still get the same message. I then go into my windows task manager and try and end the firefox proccess but it won't end. So I restart my computer and firefox eventually starts acting up again.

I open facebook or other site. right click link/photo to open in new tab quickly. Then all tab connection will be connection to website, all page stop loading. Have to close firefox and reopen then only site will load.
You can override how links are opened via the browser.link.open_newwindow.override pref.

hey, just to keep you updated - there is now a fix available for firefox 25, which should address the particular problem of pages not loading unless the mouse is moved.
if you have downgraded to firefox 24 to work around the issue, please go to ''firefox > options > advanced > update'' and turn automatic updates back on. then go to ''firefox > help > about firefox'' which should trigger the update to firefox 25.0.1.

Brand new Mac Pro, downloading new software update and the loading bar turned grey (from blue) and stopped loading hasn't moved in an hour. What do I do?

ive tried loading this new software, and step 1 and 2 were successful, but after trying to restart the loading grey screen wont stop loading?
I had a similar problem, does the phone show anything on the screen, for example "update failed, connect to computer" if it does, try opening "Sony PC Companion 2.1" click start on "support zone" then click "phone/ tablet software update" a message will pop up, press repair my phone / tablet, select your phone in the list, then follow what it says, try doing this even if the phone shows nothing, you will lose everything, all data will be gone if you follow my steps

For some unknown reason, my Apple ID Password does not work when trying to down load IBooks, Nook books, or new Apps. Everything else seems to work. Any suggestions out their???
I appreciate the info and realize that the Nook App is not related to my Apple account but this too has stopped working. My situation first started with the Nook App not down loading and then has now spread to my IBook and new app downloads. I have checked into my ITunes account and the ID and password are correct and at times when I am asked to submit my Apple password such as setting up this Apple Support Community the ID and password work. My problem seems to be just with trying to use my ID and password when wanting to download new books or apps. I can go into the IBook, Nook, and App stores and seemingly download an item but when clicking on the new book or app nothing happens and I get a message that states it can not get into the ITunes store and it wants me to either try again or cancel. This message appears usually ten minutes after I have tried to make a purchase. At other times when I attempt to download a book or app I lose the screen and the IPad goes into the opening screen. Short of redoing my Apple account or deleting an app and attempting to reload the app (but this won't work because the App store won't load new apps) I don't have a clue what to do.
