Logic User Down its been 18 hr. and counting Help!!!!!!

I recently installed Logic Studio on my Mac Book Pro and then I installed it on my Mac Pro Tower. I had to learn a song for an up coming gig and I could not get the chance for I Wish by Mr. Stevie Wonder so I imported the file in to Logic Pro and after playing it for a second the screen turned grey and it said that I had to shut my computer off by choking her out and when I turned it back on an Logic would not open at all it would just bounce and bounce. So I uninstalled it as much as i could I stoped when I seen about 45-50 extra gigs on my hardrive. I reinstalled it and it still bounced I did the disk repair I deleted the "com.apple Logic" somthing somthing somthing and it still didnt work I hope the Guru of all Guru gets this and shoots some secret Mojo to me Thanks

Hi Bass,
I'm not the guru you're after but in the absence of much other comment I can offer some help.
Assuming this is not an issue where Logic only allows one instance of itself to run on a network (using one serial number), then I'd try the following:
1. Update Mac OS X to 10.4.11 using the combo updater - *Be aware that this could affect other installations* but I have found it to be fine on my system with various software. Includes a Core Audio update - worth doing.
2. Uninstall Logic Studio as best you can including stuff from the Applications and preferences folders
3. Delete 'Logic Studio System ID' from /Library/Application Support/ProApps folder. Note that you'll have to re-enter your serial number if Logic finally does start up
4. Delete any .pkg file referring to Logic Studio from /Library/Receipts/
5. Empty the Trash
6. Unplug all USB and firewire devices, take the Mac off the network (if it's normally on one) and disconnect from the internet.
7. Turn off the power and unplug the Mac from the wall for a minute or two.
8. Boot up and do a full install of Logic Studio, ticking everything.
If you still don't get anywhere then this problem is down to something other than the usual suspects and perhaps you need to analyse the disk for damage etc, or reinstall Mac OS X.

    What have you tried so far in terms of troubleshooting this issue?  Are you plugging the iPod into a high powered USB 2.0 port on the back of your PC? Have you tried a different USB cable?
    What happens if you try to reset the device with it still connected to the PC?

    Plug the iPhone into a wall outlet, let it charge for half an hour and then try a reboot by holding both the power and home buttons until the apple logo appears.
    If that does not work, take it to an Apple store genius bar to be tested by the technicians.

    I have a table on a 10.2.0.3 database which contains a clob field (sql_stmt), with contents that look something like:
    SELECT <COB_DATE>, col2, .... coln
    FROM   tab1, tab2, ...., tabn
    WHERE tab1.run_id = <RUNID>
    AND    tab2.other_col = '<OTHER TAG>'(That's a highly simplified sql_stmt example, of course - if they were all that small we'd not be needing a clob field!).
    I wanted to extract all the tags from the sql_stmt field for a given row, so I can get my (well not "mine" - I'd never have designed something like this, but hey, it works, sorta, and I'm improving it as and where I can!) pl/sql to replace the tags with the correct values. A tag is anything that's in triangular brackets (eg. <RUNID> from the above example)
    So, I did this:

    When I cast the sql_stmt as a varchar2 like so:

    So, I thought maybe I could find an xml related method, and from this link:get xml node name in loop , I tried:

I've not needed to use xml stuff before, so I'm a bit clueless about it, really!)
    I tried casting sql_stmt into an xmltype, but I got: ORA-22907: invalid CAST to a type that is not a nested table or VARRAY
    Is anyone able to suggest a better method of trying to extract my tags from the clob column, please?

    I don't know if it may work for you, but I had a similar activity where I defined sql statements with bind variables (:var_name) and then I simply looked for witch variables to bind in that statement through this query.

    You've posted in a PowerPC old vintage system discussion area.
    Do you have an Intel based Mac or a G4/G5 model prior to 2006?
    If the computer is running OS X 10.7.5 or later, you may try to Force Quit the computer
    by holding the power button down for about a minute. Then try to start the computer
    in Recovery mode and if that is present, you can use OS X Utilities, and choose Disk
    utility to see if repairing the hard disk drive helps.
    Or from the original OS X install DVD, if you have a PPC Mac w/ OS X 10.5.8;
    or if Intel Mac w/ optical drive & retail or original install-restore on DVD... Insert
    the DVD and hold the C key down on startup to use tools on the Install DVD.
    Or before going this far, on attempt to restart, try SafeBoot where you hold the Shift
    key down after the start tone, and keep holding it until you see the login screen,
    for your user password. Continue holding the Shift key down until you see Desktop
    or Finder, then let the key go. This does may allow you to run Disk Utility from
    the system in the computer, to see if repair disk permissions can help it.
    You may have to use Recovery to attempt a reinstall of the OS X, if you have a
    computer that is an Intel-based Mac. You posted in an older Mac area for items
    built before 2006, that is before Macs had intel processors: they ran PowerPC.
    Should the issue be the probability of whatever you were attempting to get, did not
    make it, due to failure of the internet, or other issue, that may have timed out.
    With poor or spotty internet, software or system updates or upgrade is problematic.
    And if you were also using Wi-Fi, not an Ethernet connection, that usually is worse.
    Since iOS is not a Mac OS X system, that is meaningless or not helpful in determining
    anything about a Mac, or troubleshooting one. So actual related information is missing.
    To supply info about your Computer, its OS X version, and other configuration specs
    would help anyone else seeing your vague question.

    There was a glitch obviously.  I recommend a restart.  While the phone is powered on, hold the power and home button.  Keep them held down while the phone powers down and starts back up  don't release till you see the apple logo.

    Its been several months (many upgrades to the iMac software during this time), and now when I try to reconnect the external dire (Use a firewire cable) it does not recognize the drive is there.  I also tried "reloading" software from the Western Digital site, but after following all the instructions, it looks like my iMac doesn't support this software (I can't even locate it after I follow all the instructions.

    First of all, you do not really want to use their software; if you want a bootable clone, use either Carbon Copy Cloner or SuperDuper. If you simply want to drag and drop some files, you don't need software to do that. The important thing on any external drive is that you format/partition it correctly (Mac OS Extended (Journaled) and using GUID partition scheme). 
    Unfortunately, I don't know anything about WD drives or their software, so I don't have any idea what kind of backup you did. Having said that, it should still recognize the external even if it's outdated. Have you tried mounting it manually in Disk Utility? If you can get it to mount, you could (worst case scenario) just drag your stuff off onto your internal and then reformat the external.

    Try:                                               
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on           
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
    How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try another cable       
    - Try on another computer                                                       
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

    Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

    As Kevin suggested it is totally Customization.
    In OIM first time while setting QA it brings the question from Lookup but after that it reads from the PCQ table only.
    So as you want that User should be able to set his own Questions then no need of any Lookup *(APMK)*. You can build your custom JSP to enter Questions as well as Answers and send these data to PCQ table. It should be in Encrypted Format.
    Next time when User Logs in it wil fetch the questions from PCQ table and validate the answers from that. So no need of Question Lookup.
    Question Lookup we use because we want to show same questions to everyone and it is configurable and we can change the questions as per client requirement.
    In your case your user are entering there own questions.
