Logical database PSJ for tcode CJI3 - add additional

Hi,
I need to create the customized program which refer to standard program RKPEP003 (CJI3) with additional fields require to be added in selection screen and ALV report.
I checked in program attribute for program RKPEP003, there is no selection screen version exist for this logical database. Could anyone advise how do I add the additional fields in either selection screen/ ALV report (eg: Vendor). Thanks.

I managed to add the additional fields (eg: Vendor) in ALV report in CJI3 using the user exit.EXIT_SAPLKAEP_001.
Now, I require to add this field in the CJI3 selection screen. I tried to maintain this field via SE36 - Maintain selection Views, but the Vendor field (eg: EKKO-LIFNR) which I required is not able to display out. Anyone have any ideas on it or how should I add this additional selection screen option?

Comments option nothing but where you can enter your description.While creating the SAP Query using SQVI enter your query name and click create one popup window will come in that you have comments field where you can enter your description.

Logical database PSJ

Hi All,
I need to add a Y-table in the logical database PSJ and need to assign the fields to one of the Functional Groups.
For this I went to tcode SE36 with logical database as PSJ, then went to Extras->Selection Views from menu, I gave the Origin of view as CUS and went in change mode. But in the tables/nodes it is not allowing me to add the Y-table.
In the tables/nodes I need to add the Y-table and assign its fields to one the function groups
Please give me the step by step procedure to do the same.

Regarding logical database PSJ

Hi,
how can we add a additional field (Activity type )to the logical database PSJ used for transaction CN47N.The field does not exist in the given field options
My requirement is currently the program RPSISVG000 display the actual hours of the activity without any filter on the activity type. user requirement is to filter the data based on few activity types given by them. ie they want the actual hours to be calculated only for these activity types.
CN47N transaction has been customized to ZCN47N.
I have populated a field with given activity types but could not get the point where to do the filteration as the program uses GET events.
GET ACT01. (contains the field activity type LARNT)
Please let me know how to filter the data based on the activity types.

you just open your program and than from your MENU BAR select GOTO menu from that select ATTRIBUTE and enter then check LOGICAL DATABASE name hase give or not.
1. open your program.
2. from menu bar select GOTO
3. from GOTO menu select ATTRIBUTES.
4. check for LOGICAL DATABASE name has given or not, If give that is your logical database name.

One may not accurately pin point the LDB for ones requirement. But there some ways.
1. You can find with respect to the application you are working on. You can refer to the Table field TRDIR-APPL. The following are the values it has. So suppose if you have requirement for HR you can search for application 'P' :

G General Ledger
H Human resources planning
I Maintenance

2. You can see the package in which your current is stored in SE80. Under the same package you can see if there are any LDBs.

Screen exit for MM01 to add additional fields to basic data tab .

We are working on the SAP version ECC 5.0 . Our requirement is to add additional fields to the general data section of the basic data1 tab for the tcode MM01 . I have gone through many previous queries in SDN but not able to figure out what exactly the process should be . All I could figure out is to start the process from appending the structure to MARA for the additional fields . Then follow the steps in the SPRO .
Define Structure of Data Screens for Each Screen Sequence
Assign Secondary Screens
Maintain Order of Main and Additional Screens
Assign Screen Sequences to User/Material Type/Transaction/In
Define How Maintenance Statuses Are Determined in Data Trans
Create Program for Customized Subscreens
I am not able to comprehend what we are trying to do in these steps .
Can anyone explain me in detail what we are trying to do in the whole process ?

Hi varun,
Create the append structure on the MARA table.
The SAP note 44410 describes how to add the new fields to the screen and how the updating will work.
1.     Make a copy of function group MGD1to ZMGDI as stated inthe Ossnote using program COPYMGDI.
2.             Goto Se38 enter program name SAPLZMGDI Click Display and goto> program-> other object---> enter screen number '0001' and add your fields to the subscreen which should apper on the the general data section of the basic data1 tab for the tcode MM01
2.     Make the changes stated in SAP Note.
3.     After make the changes the functional analyst will need to make some configuration changes.
4.     SPRO -> Logistic General -> Material Master -> Configuring Materal Master -> Define Structure of Data Screens Sequence.
5.     Select SSq = 21 then click on Subscreens select Basic DATA1
6.     Enter in the new screens that were built
7.     Change the row that was create putting in the program (function group program) that was created in step 2.

How to read data from Logical Database ADA for more than one financia year

Hi,
I need to read data from ADA logical database and ANLCV node for current financial year 2007 and for the next 3 years 2008, 2009, 2010. When I do this using program attached below, I receive only data for one year, which is entered at the selection screen in the field BERDATUM. How should I modify my program to read ANLCV node for more then one year ? Could anybody help me ?

hi logiacl databases are mostly used in the hrabap.
Logical databases are programs that read data from database tables and pass it to other programs for processing. The order of reading the database tables is determined by a hierarchy.
Many tables in the R/3 System are linked using foreign key relationships. Parts of these relationships form tree-like hierarchical structures. Logical databases allow you to read data easily from database tables that form parts of these structures
Retrieving Data Using a Logical Database:
GET EVENT
This is the most important event for executable programs that use a logical database. It occurs when the logical database has read a line from the node <table> and made it available to the program in the work area declared using the statement NODES <table>.
When you define the corresponding event block in the program, you can specify a field list if the logical database supports field selection for this node:
GET <table> http://FIELDS <f1> <f 2>....

Updating database table for 'CHANGE' and 'ADD' buttons.

I am working on module pool program. Here i am using table control.Below is my requirement:
1) I have designed a selection - screen with 'CHANGE' and 'DISPLAY' buttons and in screen 100 i have 'ADD' and 'SAVE' buttons.
2) when i click on 'CHANGE' , it will move to screen 200 here i need to change quantity field for that particular record which is in table control.once i change the field value and click on 'SAVE' a message should be populated that "RECORD IS SAVED' and this record should be updated in database table with new quantity field value and it should return back to my selection screen.
3) When i click on 'ADD' , it should display already existing records in disable mode and a new line should be added inorder to enter new records. Once i enter the data and click on SAVE, this new record should be saved in the database table along with existing records.
Kindly suggest me a sample code for this as am new to table control in module pool programming.

I have to write one report which will display project statuses (PSmodule) using the LDB PSJ.. I am using LDB because I neeed dynamic selection screen.
I need to acees the data from table like 1. PROJ, prps_r and JCDS under the LDB PSJ.. but when I found the hirarchy of these table in the LDB , then all 3 tables are at same level.
then How to access and link data from theses 3 tables using GET and LATE command.
I did like below, but wrong number of records are coming

GET jcds.
can anyone tell me, what 's wrong here.

hi ...get is like a loop in ldb. then if you use the 3 get statements then it will loop with in a loop with different data..
