Instead of hard coding the URL try to get the URL of the BSP application with the below code
CALL METHOD cl_http_ext_webapp=>create_url_for_bsp_application
EXPORTING
bsp_application = '<BSP application name'
bsp_start_page = <start page e.g default.htm>
bsp_start_parameters = params " any parameter you want to pass along with url
IMPORTING
local_url = url.
Then try out passing the URL to the execute function

For this to work you have to enable SSO on your server.
you can check if it is enabled or not by runnning the BSP application "SYSTEM" ,page "SSO2TEST.htm" .
Follow the instructions on the page for testing.
This may not be a great way as your userid password are passed via URL,still it works

BDC in BSP

Hi all,
I've recorded PHAP_ADMIN_PA transaction and conveterd that into a function module.the function module is remote enabled.
Im calling that function module from my BSP page,
CALL fn_module_name DEStination 'NONE'
It works fine in debug mode
when i remove the breakpoint, the BDC returns the error message 'An unexpected technical error has occured'.
Any help will be much appreciated.

As tatvagna suggested call the follow the logic like this.
BSP Oninput Processing-> Call a customer Class Method-> code your FM inside this class method (Your recording from SHDB).
This will surely work. Even i had the same issue. The FM call will not be effective inside the BSP application HAP_DOCUMENT (Donno why).
I had coded like this for creating a Appraisal document in the background.
Call this customer method to get the document created in the background.
      CALL METHOD ycl_ehd_bsp_emp_add_data=>ess_create_document
        EXPORTING
          pernr        = lv_pernr
          template_id = lv_template
        IMPORTING
          appraisal_id = lw_documents-appraisal_id.

Problem in additional tab page in cprojects

hi all,
i have created one additional tab page through spro settings in cprojects application.
trasaction : spro
collaboration projects -> global enhancements -> Define field groups for customer fields.
here it is giving me option to apply this field group to a particular object (like project, phase, task) only where as i need to apply it only to a particular phase and not to all the phases in the cproject(like i want to show that customised tab page only when i click on the first phase of the project and i dont want to show it in the rest of the phases.) right now it is not giving me the option for that.
plz have a look into the problem and reply me.

maybe I have a dirty modification idea.
Maintain the customer fields like described in customizing.
Then in CL_DPR_CUST_INCL_REPOSITORY in method GET_GROUPS it determined the fields to be shown on customer fields tab.
If you make there samll modification and remove the fields, if you are not on the first phase, then it could work too.
Or in CL_DPR_BSP_S_PRO_TYPE METHOD show_ci_fields you can control the rv_show_ci_fgroups variable !!!!
Problem here is the ls_show_ci_fgroups table, which is buffered.
But there is anothe possibility.
make a copy of the PHADETAIL.BSP See details in note to add customer own fields to BSP views.
In the BSP logic of the PHADETAIL.BSP you will find a position where the system determines if the TAB will be shown or not.
In variable controller->mr_phase you have all your necessary information about the phase
I guess whis will be modification free too. See note 859551

Need to Use google APIs in View .htm Page

Hi Experts,
I have the following requirements:
I need to capture the Geo code based on the user click from Google maps and update the same in the CRM.
I need to load the Google maps with multiple Location Marking and Marking Icons will be changing based on some condition.
I had implemented the Mash-ups to Load Google Maps in the WEB UI screen.
I found that Mash-ups will be helpful only to load the web Page Via URL(parameters passing) and it will not return back any info.
So i created a custom view and write the Java Script logic which contain the Google APIs,functions to load the Maps dynamically with
multiple Geocodes Etc., How ever while am loading the view in the CRM am not able to load the maps.
So I create a Page with Flow Logic in the same BSP Component and i provide the same code which i given in View's .htm page,while testing its working fine.
Q1 > Using Mashups in CRM can use the Google APIS and can we raise events on click on the Maps?
Q2> Why Java Scripts contain Google APIS are not loading in the View's .htm page like Pages with flow Logic.
Q3> How can i Load the Page with flow Logic in the View's .htm page with out using Iframe?

Hi,
I just wanted to post some of my experience on java.nio.channels.FileLock.
If a file is in use by an application, for example if a jar file is launched, the file is obviously locked by the system in a way we can't delete it.
However it is still considered as unlocked by java as an exclusive FileLock could be set.
If an exclusive FileLock has been set on a file no other exclusive FileLock could be set by any other application. (relieved ! the basic lock operation works !)
When a FileLock is set on a jar file it DEFINITELY corrupt the considered jar !!!!!
the message "Invalid or corrupt jarfile" is displayed when I try to execute it using java
and any zip utility can't open it any more.
And it is not a locking problem !
Even after the exit of the application that lock the file, release of the lock, copy of the considered jar, the jarfile is definitely corrupted.
I guess it could/should be the same thing on other file types.
What an awful bug :(

Considering the question "if I then use a FileLock and lock my file, can I still delete it?"
The answer is no you can't delete it:
You can't delete it with the application that locked it
(not even with File.deleteOnExit() method -- still with the above config --)
neither with another application.
Of course you can release the lock and delete it ...

Calling a BSP page with flow logic from LAYOUT

Hello all. I am developing a BSP transaction to update HR data on SAP. I initially developed this with one 'page with flow logic' and several 'page fragment's. It has been suggested that I break this out into several pages with flow logic because the code in the 'OnInputProcessing' Event Handler was getting quite complicated. I was using the BSP directive to execute my 'page fragments'. This was very simple to do. What do I replace the BSP directive to call a page fragment with in order to call a page with flow logic. I have included the code below. I have converted the 'body.htm' 'page fragment' to a 'page with flow logic' and I am not sure of the correct way to call the page. I do not have access to the navigation->goto_page( 'body.htm' ) at this point. I am new to BSP and appreciate any help offered.

uhmmm, as it was previously suggested, you should perhaps think about MVC for your development. Working with classes and methods gives you more room for a better looking code. But at this point I´m not sure where your real problem is. You mentioned first that you created one page with logic and several page fragments and then you are worried because the code in the OnInputProcessing event is getting out of control
First, you cannot insert a page in a page. You can only insert fragments in a page with <%@include file="header.htm" %>.
Second, if you don´t have idea of MVC or you don´t want to switch to MVC, then create a modules program (SE38) where you´ll enter your code as subroutines and you call these subroutines from OnInputProcessing as follows:
perform subrout1 in program XXXXXX tables YYYYY using AAAAA.
In your programm XXXXX you declare the code as:
form subrout1 in program XXXXXX tables YYYYY using AAAAA.
This can be a substitute to classes and methods.

According to ur requirement u need to create a transaction launcher for ur BSP-MVC . Follow the bellow steps.
1. Define URL parameters for transaction launcher for ur BSP application and pass ur main controller name and main page name like
Application - MAIN.Do
Page - MAIN.HTM
2. Create a transaction launcher of URL type and pass URL parameter id over there.
3. After follow all steps for transaction launcher like logical link, assign logical link id to direct link group and assign to navigation bar profile.
4. In ur business role check the checkbox for this logical link from visible direct link.
Now test ur transaction launcher. It will work.

How can I open a PDF stored in IXOS and then display it in a BSP

Hello gurus,
I have created a PDF icon and an onclick action to open a pdf, that displays on every row of an assignment block in the actions column, but I do not know the technical process to determine how to get a PDF from the IXOS system from the line selected. (even if I know it depends on an ID attribute of that assignment block) I want to to call a transaction launcher with the url for the pdf in the IXOS that has an ID that identifies which line in the assignment block the user has clicked the pdf icon for (does that make sense?)
Therefore, I am assuming the PDF should correspond to the relance ID of the row in the assignment block, but I would like more information as per the business logic involved in able to achieve the desired results for this particular specification. I already confirmed that the XURL or any other attribute in the BOL object does not contain the URL to use for this. I have looked at the class I was told that it may contain the required business logic for determining which PDF in IXOS to fetch for a particular row, and I am currently trying to reverse engineer the logic through looking at other code and using the debugger, but so far I haven'T had much luck.
Here are some questions I have now for the functional side in the meantime:
1) Can we fetch the PDF in IXOS for each line of an assignment block?
2) Which URL should I call with the transaction launcher? a URL link to the PDF on the IXOS system??
3) Do we have to configure a transaction in the IMG to be launched?
4) Do we have to create a logical link there that I will make dynamic to call the right PDF for each table line?
5) Are there any existing examples of this or a similar functionality/ logic that I could refer to, preferably in CRM 7 WebUI?
6) Do you have any code to just display a PDF in a new window? Or prompt a download?
One possible way I thought of would be for me to have a logical link defined in the IMG, that I could call passing it different attributes (eg. some object id, etc) and then return the PDF and display it in the UI in a new browser window by itself. Alternatively, we can just prompt a download. What do you think would be the optimal behaviour here?
Please do not hesitate to propose any potential solution. Any partial answers/ links to wikis/ other threads, anything would be much appreciated.

I am wondering whether somebody already tried to extend the SAP standard pretty printer by an own functionality which fits better for pages with mixed content, containing not only BSP-elements but also HTML-tags.
The standard pretty printer considers everything as plain text which is not a BSP-element and leaves it unaltered. Only BSP-elements are arranged according to their tree structure.
This produces ugly results for pages with mixed content.
1.) Requirement
A Pretty Printer for HTML-based BSP views should cover the following:
(a) HTML-Tags and BSP-elements together form the chain. As in following example:

(d) Like for BSP-elements, there should be a threshold after which the attributes should appear in separate lines. Instead of a certain maximum "number of attributes", this could also be a maximum number of characters per line.
(e) Scripting Tags (<% ... %>) should start at a new line, if the content contains new-lines.
(f) Evaluation Scripting (<%= ... %>) should be inline, if they are contained within text nodes (and not within HTML oder BSP element nodes).
(g) The Pretty Printer should be parametrizable (with parameters like indent-depth,... ).
2.) Exits?
Of course, one could always use an external HTML editor and write an add-on for that editor which produces the desired result. Or one could take the view content into the clipboard, paste it into a plain text editor like UltraEdit or TextPad which allows external commands, apply an external, self-written pretty printer to it and then paste the result back into the View. But it would be easier to use the "Pretty Printer" button directly to get the result. Therefore the question arises at which point the standard Pretty Printer Functionality could be modified or extended.
I didn't find an exit. But the pretty-print itself is doubly-decoupled in the standard which minimizes the number of points where an extension has to be made:
2.a) First decoupling point: The Fcode handler method pretty_printer_ext( ) in cl_o2_page is calling
dynamically a method in cl_o2_co2_processor:

The method pretty_print() of class cl_o2_co2_processor (fancy names, by the way. It seems that many former chemistry students had joined the BSP team ),
there is a second delegation, to a local class, as follows:

pretty = LCL_BSP_PRETTY_PRINT=>getInstance( processor = me ).
The real logic for doing the Pretty Print, finally, is performed in this local class.
3.) Implementation.
Since, up to my knowledge, there is no HTML parser in the ABAP world,
the implementation could be based on existing HTML Parsers, like the Perl module Parser::HTML, or the Java package http://htmlparser.sourceforge.net/ . The pretty printer could then be called as external OS command.
Are there any ideas out there? Or is there somebody who already worked in this direction?

For those who are interested. I found out that the Dave Ragget's classic "HTML Tidy" (see <a href="http://tidy.sourceforge.net/">http://tidy.sourceforge.net/</a> ) is available in ABAP! There is a class CL_HTMLTIDY (at least here in my SAP_BASIS 700 system) which wraps calls of HTML Tidy by kernel modules.
The class is undocumented, but there are 2 OSS notes of this year for it, so it might well be that it is alive.
HTML Tidy can surely not directly be used for Pretty Printing BSP views, but for designing test cases or for doing things like HTML parsing, it might be a helpful tool.

Badi/exit/Workflow called during execution of the BSP "SRMSUS_SELFREG"

We are running on SRM 5.0.(SP06) Strategic sourcing scenario.We are using enterprise Portal as the front end.My query is that at the end of Supplier registration process,when the Supplier admin creates the USER ID's for the Suppliers(through BSP SRMSUS_SELFREG),is there any way by which we can create the enterprise Portal users for those suppliers at the same time(Automation) ?My BASIS person told me that the automation is possible when the EP system is connected only to 1 backend but in our landscape we are having several systems connected to EP.
Other alternative would be to send a mail to the EP administrator stating that the Vendors User ID's have been created in SRM and the EP ID's need to be created.
For this ,i didnt get any BADi/exit which gets triggered during this USER ID creation process wherein i can write my logic for sending the mail to the EP admin.
There are some Std workflows (e.g. WS10000209)for USER creation but these dont seem to be useful in this scenario.
So the only method left is to modify the Std BSP which we dont want.Has anybody worked on this kind of scenario?
Any suggestions are welcome and will be rewarded as well.

ABAP Report to HTML in BSP

Hi,
I have read the very interesting posts about calling ABAP reports from BSP applications.
Nevertheless, I noticed 2 constraints in order for a Report to be called :
- the sap/bc/report must be active in Transaction SICF
- the report must have an Authorization Group defined
Am i right, so far ?
Besides, I tried to implement the solution given in the forum as follows :

The problem is that the 'WWW_HTML_FROM_LISTOBJECT' is fauly. There is a call to the FM 'RECORDER_PLAY_BACK' which itself calls 'ABAPLIST_VERSION %_RFC' and the code stops !
Any idea why this is happening ?
Am I missing a service in SICF ?
Of course, when I do the same code in a classic ABAP Program everything works fine...

both the points above are correct, more than that, using sap/bc/report you cannot pass selection screen values or variants.

i have been using this and no problem at all. where is your BSP you wrote the logic using 'WWW_HTML_FROM_LISTOBJECT'.
also dose it generate a dump? if so can you give us the gist of the dump analysis.

In the method definition, I am only using simply logic like, I was trying to send a value into the "cid" defined in the method and putting that value into "eid" which was defined exporting, but, still I could not get the value into "c_id" that I have defined in the BSP page.
Note: in both the things(in BSP and class definition as well, I am using the same
 type for defining the attributes.
3)When can we define a "Returning" option in the Class method's parameter
 Definition? and how can I use it with an example?

Launching URL clicking on a button of a view of BSP Component

Hi Gurus,
I have a requirement of opening a webdynpro URL by clicking on a button in a view of a standard BSP component. I have created one transaction launcher and assigned it to a logical link " ZOPP_CRT". In the event handler of the button I have written the following code.
method EH_ONOPP_NEW.
Added by wizard: Handler for event 'OPP_NEW'
data: lv_nav Type ref to if_crm_ui_navigation_service.
lv_nav = cl_crm_ui_navigation_service=>get_instance( me ).
lv_nav->navigate( iv_link_id = 'ZOPP_CRT' ).
endmethod.
