Logical portal settings

Hi,
for a ESOA service, I created a service proxy.
The URL of the WSDL is http://uxai3eb5.wdf.sap.corp:50078/sap/bc/srt/wsdl/sdef_ECC_TRPACC_SP_ITEM_GRP_BYSUPQR/wsdl11/ws_policy/document?sap-client=000
in SM59, I first created a RFC destination
the connectino type is H, the target host is uxai3eb5, Service No. is 500078, leaving path prefix blank.
Then in LPCONFIG, I create a logical port, using HTTP Destination as that RFC destination.
the part suffix is /sap/bc/srt/wsdl/sdef_ECC_TRPACC_SP_ITEM_GRP_BYSUPQR/wsdl11/ws_policy/document?sap-client=000.
Is that correct? Since I am not sure about that

Thanks to all the guys answer the question

Hello and thank you for your response. This is a custom application through a remote portlet. It is a popup window where this error occurs. The weird thing is that it works on another server but not this particular one where I need to get it working on.
The Gateway URL Prefixes are all set to the application server. I'm sure that this is correct as it is working like this on our production environment. The difference is that the app was .NET 1.1 on Portal 6.1 and now it is .NET 2.0 on Portal 10.3.
Is it possible that something was missed during the Portal upgrade to 10.3? If yes, do you have any idea what it could be?

  • Web Logic Portal

    Hi All
I installed SOA middleware, and installed web logic server, I want to install WLP to use portal technology. I read some articles about installation and upgrading, but I didn't understand anything. :(.
Can any one help me please in how to install or upgrade my WLS installation to the version that contains the Eclipse IDE???

    Hi
    1. Weblogic Portal 10.3.2 DOES include internally Weblogic Server 10.3.2 also. Infact any Weblogic Portal version includes Weblogic Server with same version and additionally all Portal related stuff. SO all you do is, just install Weblogic Portal 10.3.2 in a new Home. There is NO Need to install Weblogic Server separately like WLS 10.3.4. Infact even if you install WLS 10.3.4, you CANNOT install just Portal on top of this.
So uninstall WLS 10.3.4. And install WLP 10.3.2 and you are all set. After installation, you can see that the folders of WLP 10.3.2 do include all WLS stuff also.
And as mentioned, right now there is no Portal that works with WLS 10.3.4 as far as I know. All you have is just WLP 10.3.2 and you have to use only this version that includes WLS 10.3.2 internally.
Finally, the error you are seeing is a valid error based on my above explaination. You are trying to install WLP 10.3.2 on WLS 10.3.4 and this is what it complains. Worst case, you can install WLS 10.3.2 and top of this WLP 10.3.2 and choose existing home. But there is no need for this. Just install WLP 10.3.2 alone.
    Thanks

  • Hi, all logic synth settings appear to be gone,

like EFM 1, there are no settings and nothing in the library applications support. Where are these settings, and can i do a partial install to get them back? thanks. Some have setting, some don't. How do I redownload logic if I need to. Thanks

    Hi CCTM
I'm totally new to Logic 9, as well as Superior Drums. I've read where you can use SD's bounce feature (more fexiblility) to route all mics to Logic audio channels in real time. I'm trying to figure out how to do this... and I'm totally lost. I've got an Imac 3.7 - 16G ram, and this should definitely be enough to do what I've been told, but {DOING IT} and understanding the how's and why's is a big curve for someone just starting out. I've got an MPD32 for my pads, as well as sounds coming from Logic (a big thing for me) and what my goal is, is to tap my own grooves (pop and acoustic rock, nothing heavy). I just wish to be able to record one piece of the kit at a time, and to have control over each piece in real time. Could you, or is there any novice step by step instructions that will help me realize this goal? I've looked over some of the online tutorials and advice, but there explaination usually seems to be aimed at much more experienced SD/Logic users. It's a "step by step" that I'm looking for.
    Thanks
    Jimmy

  • Is there a fix for SL not saving Logic Pro settings?

Hi all, I am stuck in SL but don't mind that if there is a way to fix this problem of settings not being saved. I had the problem first in Mail,it refused to save my ISP Password and was fixed by a software update mentioned on this forum. Does anyone know if such an update for Pro apps was ever available? And is it still there for downloading?

I commend your perserverance but 5.1 is newer than 7, that is what is posted in the above screen shot. Here are some things left over from attempting to install #7
I know it seems strange, but it seems to be true,Jobs is turning in his grave. The screen shot in my previous post shows it even better, hard to read[too small] but it was a fix for just these things. Click on that image in post above and it will appear in a larger window, these small 2 ones will as well. It isn't even possible to trash that pref[plist] it restores its' self instantly,no time to install #7,and I trust developed to avoid that being done. The new Apple boss man no like Pro apps, only want to sell new hardware.

  • Visitor entitlements have disappeared in Web Logic Portal console

    Hi all,
Please help! We have an issue whereby our users no longer have permission to access parts of our web application. Upon further investigation, when looking in the Portal console under visitor entitlements, we see the following message:
There are no visitor entitlement roles to display.
We have checked the portal database, and can see the roles are still in there, but aren't being retrieved by the application. We can also add new roles through the console, which are persisted in the database, but these too do not show in the console.
This had previously been working, and we are not sure what has changed.
Please advise what further information I can provide to help resolve this!
    Kind regards,
    Mike

    Hi
In the Key commands you may set up a key strokes for 'Stop or Play from last position'.
Or click with the Marquee tool in the arrange and press play. You can return the playhead by pressing 'Stop' or playback from there by pressing Play.

    Hello,
Debugging a JSP using a stack trace is made possible by using the keepgenerated element of the jsp-descriptor element in your web app descriptor in WEB-INF/weblogic.xml. The working-dir and verbose elements are also of interest.
You can edit weblogic.xml or you can use the Oracle WebLogic Server console to configure your web app. In the console you would go to "Deployments", find your web app, select the "Configuration" tab, Lock & Edit, and do your thing. The settings you are interested in are "Debug Enabled", "JSP Keep Generated", and "JSP Verbose". I'm not sure which weblogic.xml element the "Debug Enabled" corresponds to, but it might be something like the debug-enabled element of the session-descriptor element.
I can never remember where JSP generated servlet source code files end up if I have not specified a working dir. They end up buried DEEPLY. I just search the file system in my workspace for the generated files. For example, I just found the generated source for my helloOne.jsp in:
    C:\bea_wlp102\user_projects\workspaces\frmwrk\.metadata\.plugins\org.eclipse.wst.server.core\tmp0\frmwrk_domain\work\MyWAR\jsp_servlet\_portlets\__helloone.java

  • Infospoke - How to single Logical Filename for all infospokes

    Hello all,
I want to only have one logical path and logical filename for all of my infospokes.
For example if I have infospokes ZAAA, ZBBB, ZCCC, I want to have only one common setting in the destination properties of TC:RSBO but three different distinguishable files on my OS.
I think with the standard settings, I have to make one logical file for every infospoke I have.
I am aware that I can put <DATE> or <TIME> etc in the logical file settings but that will not distinguish which infospoke the file came from.
I want my file to look more like <INFOSPOKE>_<DATE><TIME>.csv
I've already seen the document "How to Extract Data with OPEN HUB to a Logical Filename"  and this is not it because I have BW3.5 and 3.5 already does what this article says.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Just in case, I am on BW3.5 SP17 on Windows/SQL.

    Jasprit,
    Thanks for your input.
The functionality of the FM you said is similar to the InfoSpoke functionality...
    Is it the same thing?
I wonder if I use this it means it is not part of the InfoSpoke license...
I will have our programer look at it and see what he thinks but in the mean time any other information is greatly appreciated.  Especially if I can stick with using the standard InfoSpoke functionality...
Isn't this kind of functionality something that everyone wants?
I wonder why SAP didn't make it like this?

  • SSO and portal timeout  -- other bug?

...this is very probably related to the other post talking about SSO and portal timeout...
I am having another weird issue with dotnet portlets that uses inline refresh (done automatically by dotnet accelerator) and SSO.
When you let the portal session expire, and then click on a button/link within a portlet (hence generate an inline refresh gatewayed request), the full portal window (header/footer etc...) appears within the portlet, instead of the portlet content alone.
I did some http traces (see below) and it seems the problem is due to the windows SSOLogin.aspx (we are using windows auth SSO) not taking the requested portlet gatewayed request url as a post login redirect info... but taking instead the current page url (which is wrong)
Thus, after the gatewayed portlet request is successfully authenticated by the SSOLogin.aspx component, it is automatically redirected to the wrong urll...making the full portal page refresh into the portlet.
So my question is: have anyone already seen such behavior? And has anything been done to fix this?
It really seems like a bug with the SSO servlet...but maybe i am doing something wrong...Just want to have your thoughts on this.
    Thanks,
    Fabien

I have this happen in v6.0 sp1. We have worked around the problem with a bit of work and synchronization of settings. Below, I've outlined how we've worked around the problem (which is indeed a problem that should be fixed). Also, if you have a load balancer, you'll need to set your session timeout on the load balancer to a bit more than the refresh rate that you set for your communities and My Pages.
Resolving the Portlet Timeout / Refresh Problem in ALUI Portal_
Problem: Users occasionally receive the portal page within a portlet error
Cause: The root cause has not been determined; however it appears that the primary event that exhibits the behavior is when a teammember’s session has expired on the portal server and they then utilize a .NET form-based portlet which refreshes in place. Because we are using WIA SSO to enable automatic logins to the portal, it makes the error seem to occur randomly.
    Resolution:
The workaround solution is to – 1) increase the portal session timeout on the portal web servers from the default 20min to 4 hours, and 2) set the MyPage refresh interval setting for all portal users to 3 hours. The setting name is a bit of a misnomer, as it will actually refresh the entire portal page automatically if the user is idle on either a My Page or a Community Page, as these are the only two places that portlets reside.
    Increasing the portal session timeout:
The portal session timeout is controlled in two places, and both settings should match. On the portal virtual directory in IIS, edit the configuration and increase the timeout setting to 240 (minutes). Then, edit the portal application’s web.config file (d:\portal\ptportal\6.0\webapp\portal\web\) and increase the sessionState Timeout variable to 240. Editting the config file will require you to restart the services before you see the change.
Initial setting of the MyPage refresh interval:
The initial setting will need to be done by a SQL script in order to apply it to all existing users. The Default Profile should also be updated so that all new user synched from AD will have this setting applied automatically.
/* Delete refresh interval settings for all users first so that there are no conflicts on the inserts */
DELETE FROM portaldbuser.ptprefs WHERE prefname = 'intMyPageRefreshRate'
/* Insert desired page refresh setting for all users */
    INSERT INTO portaldbuser.ptprefs (userid,gadgetid,prefclassid,prefobjectid,prefname,prefvaluetype,prefvalue,pagenumber) SELECT objectid,0,0,0,'intMyPageRefreshRate',3,180,0 FROM portaldbuser.ptusers
From Administration, access the Default Profiles utility. Check the Default Profile entry and click on the Edit Profile Layout link. Click on the My Account link in the Portal Settings portlet and then on the Display Options link on the next page. In the Page and Portlet Settings, update the Your My Page will be updated: setting to 4 hours. Click Finish twice to return to Administration.
    Updating the MyPage refresh interval:
To update the setting just modify the insert portion of the SQL script. Change the prefvalue number (180) to the desired timeout in minutes and rerun both statements of the script.
The Default Profile should be also be modified per the instructions above.
    I hope this helps...

  • Error when launching BEx analyzer from Portals

    BI Gurus...
We are working on an initiative to migrate our user interface from SAP GUI to Enterprise Portal.
Bex Analyzer is primary mode of reporting at this time.
After importing the Roles into EP, I am able to execute the web queries successfully, in the BEx Wen analyzer. But, I get an error when I click on any of the excel workbooks. Our expectation was that once we click on the excel workbook name, the BEx analyzer will launch from EP. But it seems like the issue is with launching BEx Analyzer from BI Portal.
Has anyone faced this issue before?
Is it possible to launch BEx Analyzer from EP?
Are their some key portal settings we have missed out on to enable launching BEx analyzer from EP?
    Please provide your thoughts/experience.
    Thanks,
    Ajay.

    Hi WernerS,
    Thanks for your response.
The RRMXP Transaction works and it launching the BEx Analyzer as expected.
Now, as per our research, I think there are 2 ways of launching BEx analyzer from BI Portals.
    1) Call via a URL
You can call BEx Analyzer via the following URL: http(s)://<server:port>/sap/bc/bsp/sap/rsr_bex_launch/bexanalyzerportalwrapper.htm
You can modify the URL to open BEx Analyzer with either a workbook, a query or a query view. You can use the following parameters to do this:
    ●      Parameter to open the workbook: ?WBID=<wb_id>
I have tried calling via URL iView, but instead of launching the BEx Analyzer, it just throws a dialog box to "save" or "open" a file, RRMX.bex. When I try to open this file, it says "Invalid File Format".
I tried opening the file in notepad and I see the following parameters passed.
               test
               Data=BX2,CONAJP,EN,mikoyan,17,,,250,
               9
Any clue about what I am doing wrong?
    2) Calling via a Transaction
You can generate BEx Analyzer in Portal Content Studio as an SAP Transaction iView.
The iViews are of type SAP Transaction iView and have the code link com.sap.portal.app integrator.sap.Transaction.
The most important properties are System, Transaction Code (TCODE) and ApplicationParameter.
    ●      The Transaction Code for all workbooks is RRMXP.
    ●      The ApplicationParameter property contains the value WBID=<WORKBOOK_ID>.
I have tried this approach as well. When I open this iView, I see the RRMXP transaction in the Internet explorer, but the workbooks still does not open in the BEx Analyzer (Excel)
Any thoughts on where am I going wrong ?
    Thanks,
    Ajay.
