Login Chain box keeps popping up

Every time I use the internet, I keep getting a box that freezes the internet and requests that I provide a password to the "login chain." What is a login chain? I have tried numerous times, with every password I can think of, to make this box go away to no avail. It happens on a regular basis as I surf the web. It happens a lot when I am uploading photos and information to Shutterfly.
I also get a Skype login chain that pops up every time my Skype loads up. I can't figure out that password either.
How do I make this box stop popping up? How do I reset login chain passwords if I don't know what they are? Any help you can provide would be hugely appreciated.
Sincerely,
e-Pilgrim

Resetting the account password will not have any affect whatsoever on a keychain password. If it did, the keychain would be absolutely, 100% worthless as a security measure. If you forget the password securing a particular keychain, the only option you have is to delete that keychain. You'll never see the inside of it without the password.
To Pilgrim: if you know the password, you can eliminate the prompt by changing the password for the login keychain to be the same as your account password. Then it will unlock automatically when you log in to your account, with no prompting. But it sounds like that may not be an option.

• Outlook 2010 Annoying login dialog box keeps popping up

I have a client on Exchange 2010. They're using Outlook 2010. ONE employee keeps getting a popup login screen for some reason. I don't know why but it appears to be tied to the HTTP settings 9n the Microsoft Exchange Proxy Settings section. I did not set
these on the client side but it keeps populating and the authentication is BASIC. This is a desktop computer (does not travel outside the LAN) so I don't need this setup. But when I uncheck the HTTP proxy settings option it keeps coming back.
Why is this happening and how can I turn this off for this user?
Note: it does not affect Outlook's ability to access email. He usually just closes the dialog box but it keeps coming back (and this is the business owner, of course...couldn't happen to a low level worker, you know.)

Hi,
I have seen this problem on pretty much every SBS2011 deployment I have undertaken (and has only affected 1 or 2 users at each site which I have always thought strange)
Try this from an exchange shell
[PS]> Get-OutlookAnywhere | Set-OutlookAnywhere -IISAuthenticationMethod NTLM -ClientAuthenticationMethod NTLM

This issue can be caused by an extension that isn't working properly.
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
* https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Safe+Mode
If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
* Use "Disable all add-ons" on the [[Safe mode]] start window to disable all extensions.
* Close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")
In Firefox 4 you can use one of these to start in [[Safe mode]]:
* Help > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
* Hold down the Shift key while double clicking the Firefox desktop shortcut (Windows)

Is it visible at all? If so, drag it to a new location, hit the "Done" button to close, close your document and launch InDesign again. By the way, are you on OSX or Windows? I'm on OSX and that works for me. My InDesign version is CS6. Hope this helps.

• A connection error-box keeps popping up

This box keeps popping up. It basically says that there is a problem connecting to the server, and that .file URLs isn't supported. However; I've never tried open a .file-URL, and everything seems to work fine. It still keeps popping up though. Any ideas?

I am getting this same exact problem. I have no idea what is causing it or how to deal with this. Apple better get on this soon because it is interrupting my daily workings of my laptop. It especially isn't good because I use this computer on stage and can't have a stupid pop-up messing up my set...

• Find My iPhone Login Box Keeps Popping Up

I work at a Hospital that uses 140+ iPod Touches for Meds Disbursement. I need to have Find my Iphone on them so they don't 'walk out of the building' but is there a way to turn OFF the login box that keeps popping up? Staff keeps putting passwords in and locking our IT account and we have to keep resetting it. I'm not finding a way to do it in the iPhone Configuration Manager either.
Thanks!

I have the same issue with my 6 Plus. I have had it checked at a Simply Mac store where the recommendation was to wipe the phone and start fresh with a new download of the OS. I had it checked at an ATT store and they witnessed the issue while I was there; they cleaned the charging port with compressed air, but to no avail. I can't say if this is a hardware or software issue, but the ball is in Apple's court and I hope to hear a definitive answer soon.

• Windows Help and Support Message box keeps popping up

I am not really sure what happened but my keyboard stopped working. It kept typing out random letters and not the ones I typed. At the same this "Windows Help and Support" box started popping up. So, I can't use my keyboard but the pop up window keeps interuping Netflix and vidoes and I can't watch them and Word documents. Pretty much anything I do gets interupted by this box and stops whatever I am trying to which is trying to build a website at the moment.
I uninstalled the support. It no longer appears in my program list but the box still keeping popping up and stopping everything I am doing.
What I am suppose to do? It doesn't say its the HP Support it says "Windows Help and Support" at the top of the box.
I have tried everything.

Hey @c4yp ,
Welcome to the HP Forums!
I understand the keyboard on your notebook is not working properly, and the Windows Help and Support window keeps opening.
This popup is typically caused by a spyware or malware infection. Please follow the steps below and let me know if it helps.
