We have performed a reinstallation and the ides data base is also installed correctly . I have checked the SMOUSERS and there are users also existing in the system. This time there were no errors and No issues with the installation but stil the error is seen .
kindly suggest should MAS also be installed for the demo Client. we just have installed MSA demo client.
Please suggest.

Login screen comes up repeatedly, booting into safe mode by default

Good Morning,
I have an iMac (Lion 10.8) that is having a lot of trouble. I manage an Elementary School's IT fleet. At the end of last year, the computer was booting into Safe Mode by default. Once the system came up, the teacher could use it - but it took so long to boot that she chose not to. The teacher left the school, and I was planning to just format it and reimage. Here is what I have happening.
Boots into safe mode on it's own
Once it's done booting, the login screen shows up - but entering any credentials just gets a grey screen, and the login screen comes right back. Even root. Which means I can't get logged into the computer at all.
Recovery mode will not allow me to erase the drive, says failed and not able to access the drive.
Target mode will also not allow me to erase the drive, nor will it allow me to push over an image. Scanning the drive failed, busy.
Disk repair says unable to repair disk - please format.
These are the things I have tried.
Reset PRAM (three times over the course of troubleshooting)
Replaced the RAM completely
Unplugged 15 seconds trick
Accessing via Target mode - Drive is greyed out, but shows up
Ran FSCK manually, and it completed
Tried to do a netinstall, but the disk does not show up in netboot as an option.
I thought maybe the drive was bad, but considering that it will boot into safe mode eventually (although you can't login), and FSCK completed successfully - I'm just not sure! I just thought I'd pick your brains. I'm usually a Windows \ Linux Administrator, so this Apple business is new to me I'm learning! Although I find them frustrating. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Some part of the disk may be bad while others are good. i/o could be trying multiple times and eventually succeeding.
Ran FSCK manually, and it completed
You run FSCK in single user mode? This is very surprising. FSCK verifies the filesystem is in order. Actual data blocks could be bad. Would be a surprise if no file system blocks were not also bad.
Except for this fact, it seems like a hd problem. Intermediate problem. Heat problem, etc.
Time to try a different hd. See if that works. Could be some other hardware problem. Try external drive/flash drive, etc.
Mac OS X is BSD Unix.

ACNS Upgrade Fails

I get the following error message upgrading the CE510 systemimage, the flash upgraded fine, any ideas?

restore factory-default preserve basic-config
This command will wipe out all of data on the disks
and all of ACNS CLI configurations except basic network

Backdate from Mavericks to Lion?

I made the mistake of upgrading from Lion to Mavericks on my 2011 MacBook Pro. I want to restore my OS back to Lion since Mavericks is incredibly flawed & causes problems with performace & screws up syncing my brand new iPhone 5c. Is this at all possible? After the OS change, I cannot use internest restore with Lion, its only giving me the Mavericks option which I do not want or need at all since the people at Apple Inc are refusing to fix problems & issues. Personally, since Steve Jobs passed before his time, Apple Inc has followed Bill Gates' & Microsoft's failed business model & are screwing their customers who paid top dollar for top equipment.

if there were no grey installation DVDs in your box, then either you did not receive everything that you should have, or you have a Late 2011 (or newer) model. If you have an Early 2011 model, you are going to need to purchase a replacement pair of grey installation DVDs for your specific model from either Apple or iFixit to be able to get back to Lion. If you have a Late 2011 (or newer) model, then you could use OS X Internet Recovery to reïnstall your original version of OS X, which in the case of the Late 2011 model was Lion. If you have an Early 2011 (or older) model, then you will need to use the grey Mac OS X Install DVD as a stepping stone to get back to Lion; if you’ve already paid for Lion from the Mac App Store, then you will be able to redownload it gratis.

Complaint-Need POC for Escalation beyond "Management Team"

We returned an iPhone 5 through the Edge program in November and our account has been charged for a failure to return equipment charge in the amount of $334. Since that time, we have placed numerous phone calls to Verizon to verify that the phone was received and tickets were subsequently created during each call to resolve our equipment charge. Each call we were assured that the phone was received in the warehouse, and that it would take 2-3 billing cycles for the equipment charges to be removed from the account.
When we continued to inquire why the charges were still on our account and late fees were accruing, we were notified that the tickets were not being routed properly to the warehouse to locate our phone. When we further inquired with phone calls, we were advised that the warehouse received a return from us, that there was a iPhone 5 in the box, but that the serial number that they received didn’t match the phone that they were expecting.
I spoke with someone on your Management Team March5th and he tried to help locate the device. He provided IMEI serial numbers for all phones that had been associated with this phone number in the past and asked that I get in touch with Best Buy to seek other IMEI serial numbers so that he could locate the phone (I had used the warranty program through Best Buy just before trading it in the Verizon Edge and that is the reason for the difference in serial numbers). Ultimately we could not resolve the issue. We have asked that the charges be removed from our account our that the representative from the Management team return the box with the iPhone 5 in it that the warehouse received in November from us. He advised that he could not remove the charges or locate the device and there that “If” the device had come through the warehouse it had probably been refurbished and reprovisioned. He also added that he couldn’t be certain that we didn’t send an empty box. This was an odd comment as the each representative that we spoke with in the past have all verified that the warehouse had indeed received an iPhone 5 from us, and we now knew that the confusion was focused on the serial number not matching on the phone.
I take great exception to the change in discussion after 4 months that I would dishonestly send an empty box to Verizon. My wife and I are Federal Homeland Security Employees, have been loyal Verizon Wireless customers for years, ensured that we utilized the Best Buy warranty program to send a working phone back to Verizon.
When I originally signed up for the early Edge program, I anticipated that it would be seamless. I had no idea that 4 months later, countless hours of my time would be spent frustrated, calling Verizon for status, worried about my account, and now being insulted by the Customer Service Management.
Please put me in touch with someone that can resolve this issue swiftly. The representative we spoke with yesterday stated that there was no one with more authority than him to resolve this issue.

i am in the exact same boat. i am a sheriff sergeant, and i have been with vz for years! i switched to the "more everything" plan...and it has been "more of a headache" than anything. two non return device fees added to my account, and i have returned 5 fives. three they cant find, one they sent back because it was late, and one they kept (the nicest of the bunch that was mailed the exact same time).
there "customer service" folks obviously don't know the definition of that phrase, and "andrew" supposedly the "Manager" told me they would refund the amount of the one phone they kept, but not the other. i told him i was dissatisfied with the outcome and wanted to speak with someone above him. he said "the problem is resolved." i reminded him that i was the customer, a good, long term, always paying customer, and i did not think it was resolved. he assured me that it was. i demanded he direct me to his supervisor. he said it would take a "call back" in 72 hours.
i will be returning all phones, paying my actual usage charges, NOT THE BOGUS FEES, and i will take my long term, 280 dollar a month bill to AT&T.
the higher ups in the company should realize the subordinates don't have a concept of what it took to build an empire like verizon has become. but like every failed business before, verizon will collapse if they do not get back to basics of "Customer Service."

I've removed the white background from the original image as it was a January day and net curtains, it left a horrible blue cast around all the family shots. I used the Quick Select Tool and the eraser tool - maybe I was in error?
1) How do I remove this blue rim light please?
Also, this girl appears in group shots and is far too oragne when everyone else is milky white - not sure what she thought she was doing having a Tango spray job!
I applied something already which added some blue to her skin ..... now her teeth have gone cool too so I need to back-track and start on the oragne removal from scratch.
2) Thus far I've re-opened the finished image into Bridge as it has a specific Orange channel in there, but what trick am I missing whilst the image in open on Photoshop please?

Do you know a company who can do this stuff in the UK say who don't charge the earth?
I've been trying to understand this stuff and the more I fail the more I fail. Two days on and I've yet to step outside my house - hopeless work flow and no way to be living a life.
I absolutely don't want to do this for or as any part of earning a living so need to farm out this stuff. I'm selling all my camera gear as soon as my last job on 05 June is over so keep an eye out on eBay for the Nikon, Blad, Mamiya and Bowens etc kit I'll be flogging off!
20yrs on from a post grad in photography and I have failed miserably to grasp any of this digital work flow.
Time spent infront of a pc is time in my life utterly wasted - it's having implications both for my health and my home life so something has to give and it's the failing business of my photography. At some point one has to accept that the end has been reached.
So who do I send these files to?

Implementing COMMIT frequency

I've been asked to create a procedure which should delete from a table records which are older than a specified period(input parameter) with a User specified Commit Frequency(This will be another Input parameter)
I have a column called created_time in mytable which i could use in WHERE clause of the DELETE statement.

How can i implement COMMIT frequency in this proc?. Client is going to COMMIT after every 35000 rows. But they don't want this to be hard coded. I have seen other threads in OTN where Gurus are saying that including COMMIT frequency is a bad thing. This just happens to be in SPECS which I don't get to design(we are actually converting a Purge script written in C++ to PL/SQL)

frequency is a bad thing. We consider the use of COMMIT in the middle of a business transaction to be bad practice for a number of reasons:
(1) Multiple commits are generally slower.
(2) It is frequently associated with an implementation which consists of record-by-record processing inside a PL/SQL curosr loop when set-based processing is far more efficient.
(3) It can be harder to recover from a failed business transaction if the data is in an inconsistent state.
(4) Such implementations are prone to ORA-01002 and ORA-01555 errors.
Now the question which occurs to me in your case is, "Why do you users care?" In fact, would they even notice if you implemented the procedure as you show in your post and just ignore the p_commitfreq?
However, if your conscience won't let you do that, the best solution would be something like this:
<< commit_loop >>.
loop
       delete from mytable
       where created_time< sysdate-p_no_of_days_old
       and rownum <= p_commitfreq;
       exit when sql%rowcount = 0;
      commit;
end loop commit_loop;

Complaint Escalation

My iTunes account has been hacked into by Chinese. My account is now in Chinese.
iStore wants me to create a new account and insert a new credit card to pay off one of the fraudulent purchases. I can not trust iStore with my data - but the Senior Advisor says this is the only way - and he will repay my 'purchase' I do not find this a satisfactory solution. He says the problem can not be escalated - but I want/need to do this - can someone help as I can not find any addresses for Customer Relations other that Corporate - and no email address.

Scores - Question

My scores just aren't budging... I have 7 baddies (just paid 5 of them off yesterday... 4 are PFD and one is a settlement w/ zero balance)That will leave 2 baddies left totalling $15k that fall off in December of this year. I also have $80k in tax leins from a failed business ranging from 2009-2012.... Can my score get any higher than 620 with 2 baddies and these tax leins... I'm wanting to get to prime cards badly... just wondering if the tax leins will forever hurt me until they are gone. I have 2 auto loans (reporting perfectly for 6-12 months) and $14k in revolving lines with 20-30% UTIL.

Business Rules login failed

When I try to access to the Business Rules in the EAS Enterprise View (I'm logged as admin), it says
"Business Rules Login Failed"
If I go in Shared Services I can't provision additional roles to the admin user because the role related to Business Rules is not present.
It seems that Business Rules is not correctly configured.
So what I have to do?

1. When you login into Shared services, on left hand side ,you see User directories and Application groups.
2. Expand "Application groups" , here do you see Business Rules.
3. You are telling us ,after you have expanded essbase, thats not needed.

Business Rule Login Failed

I am trying to run a Business Rule in EAS. However, when I log in to Essbase and when I clcik the plus in front of the Business Rule, it give a message "Business Rule Login Failed"
Also, when I go to HSS, I do see the item called HP.. under the Business Rule tab. So what could be reason?

Login Failed error while creating a CR using Universe

Hi,
We created an Universe in SAP Business Objects system using SAP BW as source system and we selected sales cube for the universe.
For ex universe name is : xyz
Now i want to use this universe in crystal reports, we are using CR2008.
I logged in to Crystal Reports>Blank Report>Create New Connection>Universes>selected xyz universe and i got the keyfigures and chars in query panel for the selected universe, dragged and dropped some chars and kf's in to result objects.
After this when we click Ok it is giving an error message saying that Login Failed
We are unable to get the solution for this anybody please guide us to solve this.

Unable to open E-business suite login page after database upgrade

I have successfully upgraded the 11i E-business suite database 10.2.0.3 to 11.1.0.7. After upgradation i have all services running on apps tier and database, but i cannot open the login page.

Creation of login object failed

Hi all,
I've got a problem with the mobile client development.
We are using the mobile client for many years and we even develop a lot with it, but now i have a problem never seen.
After extending a bDoc and start testing the application, after the generation and login, system states "Creation of login object failed".
So i did a full generation. Result the same.
I debugged the ValidateLogin class and found out, that in the following statement is failing
       BOLOGIN = BusinessRootObject.BusinessFactory.LoadBusinessObject("LOGIN", determineUser)
BOLOGIN is Nothing at the end. I tried out to create the Object via        BOLOGIN = BusinessRootObject.BusinessFactory.CreateBusinessObject("LOGIN")
same result. Next i tried to create the BOACTIVITY and it failed as well. One day before everything was fine, even with changing business documents.
The error in the VB.ERR object says:

We are using CRM 5.0 SP7 and MSA SP7 on MS 2003 Server with local repository. DB is SQL2000.
Yesterday i was releasing a changelist and now its no longer working at all, what a mess.

Hi Andreas,
The problem may be incorrect or corrupt ARSREP.DAT file.
The reason may be that the BDOCs are not synched from MAS. Once you sync this through MAS you will find the *.bdoc files at the location
mentioned under the registry key HKLM\SOFTWARE\SAP\MSA\MW\TL\BDocPath
Usually this would be default as C:\Program Files\SAP\Mobile\tpsfiles.
After this when you generate the BusinessLibrary the Arsrep.dat file
will have the *.bdocs incorporated in the Arsrep.dat file.
