Login fails and IP address blocked when attempting to connect to PC upgraded from Win8.1 to Win10

Hi trying to connect to a PC recently upgraded to Win10-64. Login attempts return a "Login failed" message with Reconnect/Cancel options. After 3 (or so) attemtps returns message that too many login attemps and your IP address has been blocked. All my Win7-64 PCs connect ok. Win10 trouble?

I found out...Here's the thing: I had user credentials stored when updating to Win10. I removed this setting and logged in with Client with username and pwd, connection ok. I then went back and selected store credentials, and this time everything went well. So apparently it is a problem connecting with stored credentials after a Win10 upgrade. Or maybe it's just me.

  • Connection Failed and WebDAV screen appear when attempting to backup iTunes

When I try to backup all of my music in iTunes, I get the following message and screen appear. Click on the link to see a picture of these:
    http://homepage.mac.com/louh/PhotoAlbum44.html
Why is this message and screen appearing and should I type in my information on the WebDAV screen or am I being hacked? To backup my iTunes, I clicked File>Backup to Disc>Backup entire iTunes Library and Playlist.
Thanks for any help or suggestions,
    Lou

In addition, if I opened iDisk and had the icon sitting on my desktop the 'Connection Failed" error message appeared but I was able to cancel it. Without iDisk open I could not get rid of the error message unless i force quit. I'm thinking that at some point I put some music into iDisk (don't remember ever doing this) and this may be causing the problems. The backup appeared to work even though I didn't test it.
Still wonder if I found an exploitable hack? I'm glad I didn't give out my user name and password!
    Lou

  • Client boots into WinPE but then it will fail and reboot after the step: "Preparing network connections"

I  have a new issue with all DPs.
When I pxe boot, it will boot into WinPE but then it will fail and reboot after the step: “Preparing network connections”
I have tried reinstalling the DP and MP. Also redistributing the boot image.
When I press F8 to go into debug mode, ipconfig show me an IP address and I am able to ping my Management point, my DHCP server and also my Distribution point.
I have attached the smsts.log file.

Every time a query is sent to the MP, it receives 0x80072ee2 which translates to "The operation timed out". This has nothing to do with your MP or DP though so reinstalling them won't make any difference.
This error is indicative of network issues -- basically, the "client" is not getting a response back in a timely manner (and probably not at all). Assuming the MP is healthy though, then only other piece of the puzzle is the network.
You can try setting the SMSTSAssignmentsDownloadRetry and SMSTSAssignmentsDownloadInterval task sequence variables in the boot image to increase the client's tolerance for latency or other weirdness in the network. This has worked for many.
If that doesn't work, you'll have to break out a sniffer and watch the traffic to see what's going on at a network level.

  • There was an error when attempting to connect to the Windows Live Calendar service.

I keep getting a message when I want to check my email you are not connected (but I am,as I can get in my Webbrowser) and the following error message
There was an error when attempting to connect to the Windows Live Calendar service. If the error persists, check to see if there's an upgrade of Windows Live Mail available or contact a service representative.
Can anyone help me, no sense sending me an email, I cannot get into my email.

    Hi,
Try installing Windows 2012 Live Essentials here.
You will have to set up your Pop 3 or IMAP email account after installing the updated version per above.
Are you using an Internet Service Provider Email  account or a cloud based (IMAP) Email account?
Pop 3 accounts will require incoming and outgoing server addresses and any additional security settings required by your ISP. If you don't have the required settings for Pop 3 you will have to contact your ISP for those.

  • Getting "No trusted certificate found" when attempting to connect to 10g DB

    Greetings,
I have an Oracle 10g DB configured to listen via TCPS. I am able to tnsping and sql+ into the DB just fine. However, when attempting to connect via SQL Developer, I get the following error:
*"Status: Failure -lo exception: sun.security.validator. ValidatorException: No trusted certificate found"*
    Here is my tnsnames.ora entry:
    EMCECCH01.CORPORATE.MY.COM =
    (DESCRIPTION =
    (ADDRESS_LIST =
    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCPS)(HOST = emcecch01.corporate.my.com)(PORT = 1575))
    (CONNECT_DATA =
    (SERVICE_NAME = rambdb)
         (SECURITY = (MY_WALLET_DIRECTORY = C:\DBSafes\Cincinnati\dbSafe))
Obviously when I create my connection, I am using 'TNS'. I've also attempted to connect via the JDBC thin driver, but when testing the connection, it just sits and spins without ever returning a result. Here is the URL I'm using:
    jdbc:oracle:thin:@emcecch01.corporate.my.com:1575:rambdb
I've verified that the appropriate JAR files are in place in the jlib directory.
Any advice in this matter would be greatly appreciated.
    Regards

    Hi,
If your connection entry is unusual you could try these simple things that may cause variation/different code paths:
1/ORACLE_HOME being set /unset by for example a bat script before launching sqldeveloper [see in sqldeveloper help/about/properties/ oracle.home and jdbc.library to see what oracle is using]
(you could be using sqldeveloper or other oracle install jdbc)
    2/Tools/preferences/database/Advanced Parameters/Use oci thick driver set/unset
(you could be using 'pure' jdbc thin or 'mixture of c & java' ie. thick oci driver using another Oracle Home or instant client)
3/use Connection type=advanced then you can enter a fancy description (these descriptions are simple but you could have load balancing for example):
    thin is pure java
    jdbc:oracle:thin:@(DESCRIPTION=(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=TCP)(HOST=MACHINE_NAME_OR_IP)(PORT=1521))(CONNECT_DATA=(SERVER=DEDICATED)(SERVICE_NAME=dev11gr1)))
    oci8 is thick/c/oci-java
    jdbc:oracle:oci8:@(DESCRIPTION=(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=TCP)(HOST=MACHINE_NAME_OR_IP)(PORT=1521))(CONNECT_DATA=(SERVER=DEDICATED)(SERVICE_NAME=dev11gr1)))
(or get SQLDev to look up tnsnames.ora, connection type = tns might work)
Please post your findings and put in an enhancement request for particular connection feature support, documented with a test case.

Can someone help me on this please?

    Hi Jaigi,
According to your description, you want to change a report server database for Reporting Services. But it fails on the last step and returns a error. Right?
In this scenario, it seems you are creating a report server database on another server via remote connection. Based on the error message, it has issues on executing the script for generating new database. Please check if you have permission to connect the
server and create a new database. Also please check if the Reporting Services Windows services is working properly.
If you have any question, please feel free to ask.
    Best Regards,

When attempting to remove the Filmconvert plugin from my machine I noticed my adobe>common>plug-ins>CS5.5>MediaCore folder had vanished ! and there was also no folder for my cc version at all ? so digging deeper i noticed a large amount of my after effects plugins were installed separately in my applications folder ! I m very confused as to how this has happened and was wondering if anything like this had happened to any1 else ? and how to get everything back to normal ?
Im now worried theres something wrong with my bios on my Mac and i don't no why my plug-ins would have vanished from where they should be installed? as they still work fine in the actual software itself.

If you are on a Mac the Library folder is hidden. You have to jump through some hoops to get there.

After reading this discussion thread, I've seemed to have solved the problem for myself. I'm using the Trend Micro PC-Cillin Firewall. I disabled it and the airtunes worked. So, I went into the firewall settings. There's the ability to edit the profile and add to an exceptions list. You select the executable program, select incoming or outgoing, I accepted the other default settings and it worked.

iOS 7 will give errors on non Apple certified peripherals.  So make sure you only use Apple certified products. Did you backup the phone and then RESTORE AS NEW (not reset)? Try doing that by plugging the phone to iTunes on a computer. See if that helps. If it solves the problem, there could have been corrupted software on you phone. If not, it could be a hardware issue (including the battery), in which case you would need to go to a Apple Store or authorized service provider.

So, just so I have this straight; would CS upgrade to CS5 or did you mean I would have to purchase CS5 to upgrade to CS6? And If so, does CS upgrade any further? i.e. CS 3 or 4? Thanks for your reply --
CS will not upgrade to CS5. Historically, only CS2-CS4 ever qualified for upgrade to CS5. Those versions are all long superseded and no longer available from Adobe.
Adobe currently only sells CS6 (for outright purchase) and the Cloud (by subscription only). Cloud members have access to both CS6 and CC.
The only way to upgrade to CS6 is from CS5. Adobe no longer sells CS5. Unless you purchase the full version of CS5 from elsewhere (I don't see any point in that in this case) you would not be able to upgrade to CS6. You'd have to buy the full version of CS6. Or subscribe to one of the Cloud plans. PS+LR is an excellent deal if you use those products.
