Hello!
I tried to sign in to my account and got the answer "Sorry we didn't recognise your sign-in details. Please check your name and password and try again". I tried to change the password. Got the link on my mail, but there was written "Password for your account "redacted for privacy(WITH dot) succesfully changed" And my account name is "redacted for privacy (WITHOUT dot!!)" Now with a new password I can enter this new account which is not mine, it's empty and has no contacts, and MY account I still cannot sign-in to. Everytime I try to change the password again or sign-in with Facebook it offers me "redacted for privacy"(with dot). I sent two messages with filled forms for "Release your account". No answer. Please help me to have back MY account!

I think Skype doen't change user's usernames/account names. Please double-check if you have entered the correct registered email address for your account. In cases when there are more than one account registered under a certain email address, there will be a dropdown menu in the password reset token page where you can select which account you want to request a password reset token for.

You need to reset the password for the "old" account, and then use that to turn off iCloud. Then you will be able to sign in with your new ID.
You can reset your password at iForgot.apple.com.
If you don't know the answers to the security questions, you will need to start there.

X121e bios loop : "configuration changed - restart the system"

After changing some settings in BIOS i got stuck in a reboot - loop.
* Cannot access the BIOS any more - pressing F1 changes the message to "Entering BIOS Setup Utility" followed by the message "configuration changed - restart the system"
* F12 changes the message to "Preparing Boot Device List" followed by "configuration changed - restart the system" and the system reboots again.
* Tried to remove the battery, pressing the power button for 10-15 sec. and reboot with AC Adapter connected
* Tried to remove the battery and unplug the bios battery for 3 days the reset the bios - doesn't work
* Tried to boot via USB (BIOS update, FreeDOS with BIOS update, Ubuntu-Live-USB) - nothing worked .. didn't change the boot-order - i always prefer USB boot
* Removing hard-disk produces the message "no operating system found"
Are there any tricks for resetting the BIOS to defaults, flashing BIOS without booting from USB?

In service center they said that motherboard is glitchy and needs replacement.
So it was a hardware fault.

When you go to System Preferences > Sound what does it say for Output? Have you had headphones plugged in? Sometimes the headphone jack gets stuck thinking it has something plugged in when there isn't anaything there. SMC also has something to do with Sound:

Wait 15 seconds.
Attach the computers power cable.
Wait another 5 seconds and press the power button to turn on the computer.
The 5 second timing is important to a successful reset.

[TP x120e] Continuous "Configuration changed - Restart the system." error

I played with my bios (disabled/enabled mic, webcam, LAN and so), but after exiting the bios, Thinkpad x120e reboots continuously with the error message "Configuration changed - Restart the system.". I was not able to boot from any USB/HDD and also I can not enter to the BIOS. Hard bios reset won't help. Any ideas?

Have you tried unplugging all power, including the internal CMOS/RTC backup battery, from the ThinkPad X120e, leading the unit alone for a few minutes to let any capacitors holding a residual electic charge drain, holding down the power button for 30 seconds to complete the operation, then plugging in the AC charger without either of the batteries installed, then holding down the F1 key while pressing the power button to see if that gets you into the BIOS settings?

In our system the contract is made as 1 carton= 100 bottles but it gets changed in the system as 1 carton = 250 bottles and the PO GR, IR is done based on that.

Please follow the link below for checking conversion for unit of measure and alternate unit of measure.
SPRO>General Settings>Checks unit of measure.
Also check MARM table for the conversion factor and Numerator and Denominator ratio.
Further if u r getting the same change..then try to change the dimension of alternate unit of measure in SPRO(in path showed).

I have recently started having this problem in PSE8. The Adobe workaround
did work, but I don't fancy having to re register each time I use it.
What I have discovered is that it's nothing to do with the image metadata as it occurs before any image is opened.
It SEEMS to only occur if you use file/open with to open an image in the editor - IE start PSE with that command.
If you close elements down, and start it using programs/PSE/Elements (or your desktop shortcut) - the panorama feature magically works.
Each time I've opened the editor 'automatically' using image/open with, it seems to create the problem.

S430 - Configuration Changed - Restart the System

Hi there,
I have an S430 that is only a few months old and is getting daily use, and while everything with it has been rock solid so far, there have been two instances when opening the lid (to resume) has resulted in a reboot with the following message displayed:
Configuration Changed - Restart the System.
This has been a problem for me as I do a lot of work involving virtualisation and this seems to reset the BIOS completely causing the Intel VM extensions to become disabled. Of course I can update these values again and be on my way for a while, but inevitably it will happen again.
The only options I have changed in the BIOS are enabling the VT-x and VT-d virtualisation extensions, and changing the function key support to "Legacy". I am now attempting to disable the Intel AT module in the hopes that it is related. I have also noticed a BIOS point update, so am installing that at this very moment.
Is there anything else I can do to stop this from happening in the future? Or anyone else with the same problem?

Good to know, CharlyAR. I imagine it will be something specific to what I'm doing but I just hope that it isn't a hardware problem..
Something that I forgot to mention is that I always put the laptop to sleep instead of shutting it down, but sometimes when waking it up it seems to be cold booting, battery isn't an issue either.

Locating Phone w/ Find My iPhone When Login Name Changed on Icloud

My son had his iPhone 6 stolen and it was registered on Find My iPhone. About 10 days after it was stolen, while we were periodically monitoring iCloud to see if it ever got turned-on, my son changed his login name & password on iCloud. So now we has two devices (iPhone 6 & iPad) with the old name on them with corresponding passwords, and his iCloud account with a new name & a new password.
To add perspective on my question, even though the iPad had the old name & old password, it was located on his iCloud Find My iPhone map & iCloud would indicate when the iPad was turned on or off. Just to confirm, his iCloud account has a new login name & new password.   What I'd like to find out is since there appears to still be a linkage between his iCloud account and his iPad, would it follow that there would continue to be a linkage with his iPhone 6 (old name/old password) and his iCloud account. If the linkage continues, we would continue to monitor his iCloud in case the phone gets turned on; if not, we will of course just have to move on.   Thanks very much for any help with this.

I've learned a lot about Apple Customer Service and this forum through the unfortunate theft of my son's phone. First of all, the customer service people at Apple are poorly trained. My first 4 calls during the theft resulted in totally different answers by 4 different people. One techy from Florida was adamant that we would not receive an email if the stolen phone was connected to the internet via wifi/or 4g. He, of course, was completely wrong, and this is about as basic an issue as you can get with Find My iPhone. And I continue to wait, going on close to a week now, for what should have been a fairly routine question from a "tier 2" or Senior Adviser as they're called, for an answer to our question.
When I stumbled upon this Apple "Support" Community, I was elated. I thought, at last there's bound to be someone here who could give us some help, perhaps an Apple employee that hangs out here and tries to "be there" for their customers. Well, after waiting about 3 days and seeing that over 100 people have read my question, I am frankly surprised that not even one person has offered any help at all!   Based on my personal experiences with the Apple Customer Service Department and this Apple Support Community, I am not impressed.
I am very familiar with the way a good tech forum works and quickly learned this is not such a forum. I realized I had to go somewhere else to look which I did. I found another Apple forum (not run by Apple btw), and I posted the exact same question.   I received a reply within 20 minutes.   I suspect I will receive more throughout the day with the kind of advice and help I was hoping to get through Apple Customer Service and/or this Support Forum.
My reason for posting this comment to your support community is to let other new people realize there are other much, much better places on the internet to look for help and support with their Apple problems and issues.

Display name of shared calendar in Outlook clients after name change on the Exchange Server

I have changed the name of a conference room resource calendar on the Exchange server but the name change is not being reflected in the end user's Outlook clients. I tested a remove/re-add and that worked but I cannot have everyone in the company do this.
Is there anyway to force the change down to the Outlook clients?

I don't know for sure, but if this is the case, then it's highly likely that the GUID is used by the client after its first view of the calendar. From that point on, it appears it doesn't "revisit" the directory for updated names.
We'd need Outlook team feedback for confirmation.

Why does my network name change to the Serial Number of my AExpress?

After setting up a new network with my airport express, shortly thereafter the name seems to change to the serial number of the AE device (ie. Apple Network...). Anyone have any idea why that is happening? It seems to couple with decreased performance/connection to the device as well.

Need to monitor any file change in the system, in real time

I am running a program that I suspect may be doing changes in the filesystem, but I do not know which ones. I would like to know if there is a daemon/program that could help me monitor those changes. I tried AIDE, however, it works by creating a database of checksums for each file and does not report in real time potential changes. I would rather use a program that logs changes and timestamp them. Furthermore, AIDE is not useable with /var files, since there are many of them and they change so often. Is there another good solution?
Alternatively I would like to run the program with monitoring. For instance, run the process as:
monitor_program my_program_to_monitor logfile
This would dump in logfile what my_program_to_monitor does to the filesystem.

no, at least with inotifywait, it is not possible. once you know what file is being changed you can use "lsof" to see what process have opened that file.
i tried the following to search lsof output first thing when inotifywait finds a file change.
file=$(inotifywait -r /home/mang/watch --format %w | sed 's/.$//'); lsof | grep $file
while in another terminal running "vi /home/mang/watch/test"
the output is:
zsh 12574 mang cwd DIR 254,11 4096 4723089 /home/mang/watch
vi 16790 mang cwd DIR 254,11 4096 4723089 /home/mang/watch

Application don't permit changes in the system preferences

Hello,
My name is Maíra and I'm looking for help to have my internet installed. Actually, the problem is: I can't change anything in the network (system preferences). The signal is in the air but my computer can't regonize that. This is happening since I had an application from T-mobile installed. I tryed to restart the computer pressing shift and pressing controloption+pr and nothing changed.
What should I do?

I believe that icloud requires OS 10.7, your post indicates that you have 10.6.8.
