Login page partly unencrypted

Hello,
since about one week when I login at https://login.oracle.com/... Firefox says that part of the page is unencrypted. Which part and why is a logon only partly encrypted?
Regards
Marcus

Hello,
You need to ask the App Server team about this; it's not OTN.An insider might know whom to ask. As a simple user of the forum I ask the forum, I don't know about an App Server team.
Just as an user of one of my applications will always contact me. He is not interested which part fails and whether its my fault or not.

    Hi,

    We have just finished the upgrade of 10.1.3 Home to 10.1.3.4. After the successful completetion of Patchset Installation, as a part of Instance

    On Checking the Apache Logs, The Error Message looked as below:

    I have run the autoconfig successfuly in all the Application Tiers and generated Product JAR Files. But still the Error Exists.
    Please help to resolve this issue.

    Thank You Helios.
    The thread which you had mentioned in your previous reply had the similar issue which i was facing.
    I moved forward with the remaining Pre-Upgrade Tasks, Applied Maintainence Pack and then completed the Post Upgrade Tasks.
    I am very delighted to let you know that my Upgrade from 12.0.6 to 12.1.1 was successful. I got the feeling of GLADIATOR :) when I saw the Login Page appearing for the first
    time after the Upgrade.

  • SSO login page - SSL

    Hello all,
    we have full insatllation of OAS 10G (BI + INFRA, both on 1 server), there are more than 3000 employees using the implemented SSO to login to more than 40 web applications running on more than one server (some as external applications, some on the same server), and we have another installation on the same server which is "SOA Suite OC4J 10.1.3" integrated with the installed INFRA as partner application to utilize the OID authentication through SSO. and 2 Ebusiness suite installations on 2 other servers.
    now for some reason, our top management asks to make the SSO login page to run under HTTPS protocol (SSL).
    can you help out? what is the impact as we have that number of applications? is there any useful documents?
    thanks,
    Sallloum
    Edited by: user7813970 on May 17, 2010 11:45 PM

    The obvious reason to have this arrangement is to get increased security.
    Now SSL implementation on OAS-BI, EBS and SOA Suite should be carefully planned. It needs to be clear what has to be under SSL: SSO or the whole suite of applications. In general, both ways are possible. But each component can be configured for SSL.
    Please note, any changes in configuration here will affect configurations of all applications that are using it.
    Read administration documents for details on each parts configuration with SSL. For SSO, here is the document to follow.
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B14099_19/idmanage.1012/b14078/ssl.htm#sthref311

  • Change login page and logout_url

    I created with apex 2.1 a new login page.
    How/where can I reset the login process to page 1 or page 101 ?
    Where can I edit which page corresponds with LOGOUT_URL ?
    In Shared Components > Security > Authentication Schemes > Change > Next
    I can see which page corresponds at the moment, but I do not know where to change these settings
    (Authentication schema is the default Application Express)
    The string looks like:
    wwv_flow_custom_auth_std.logout?p_this_flow=&APP_ID.&p_next_flow_page_se
    ss=&APP_ID.:102

    I just had a look at the documentation and realize it was slightly different back in 2.1.
    You need to use the LOGOUT procedure rather than just setting it in shared components:
    Here is the link to the documentation:
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B25329_01/doc/appdev.102/b25309.pdf
    If you search for the "LOGOUT Procedure" which part of the Oracle Application Express API's it gives an example of how it used.
    There is also a procedure API for the login which can also be searched for under "LOGIN Procedure" and also has an example of how it can be used.
    Thanks

  • Multiple Branded Login Pages

    Hi
    I followed the plumtree enterprise dev tutorial on the plumtree site on multiple branding using different url host headers, using custom activity spaces and PEI, making calls when login action events are triggered. It works for the most part, except for one case:
    I have url "X" which uses the default guest account, and url "Y", which uses a custom guest account "guest2". Both urls point to the same plumtree portal.
    I can go from Y to X and back to Y. Each time a login action fires and my custom classes swap the guest accounts being used.
    Where it doesn't work is if I go from X to Y. I think its because X logs in as the default "guest" account, and once its logged in, even if I go to Y, no login events are fired and my classes don't get a chance to swap the guest account.
    Looking at PTSpy, none of the login activity events get triggered so there's no way I can get my code to swap the guest accounts.
    Is there another way to force the guest accounts to swap?
    We are using Plumtree Portal 5.0.2
    Regards
    Polan Fong

    Hi Eric,
    We will be adding a Quick Start for a similar customization to the Developer Center soon. Our approach uses the Login PEI to login the user as a custom guest user based upon the url they use to hit the portal (http://www.mycompany.portal.plumtree.com). The custom guest user allows you to use subportal branding to make the login page match the portal after the user logs in. This is not a perfect solution in the 5.0.2 timeframe, but it works for the login page (guest user browsing has some issues). You could also use the Login PEI to do something similar to what you did in 4.5 with custom login pages.

  • Hide login page on Home hub 3.0B

    I run a very small business from home and take card payments using an online application.
    I use a Home hub 3.0B
    Unfortunately my service provider’s security scan detects “that the following webpage  uses  basic authentication over an unencrypted channel  /:/ realm = HuaweiHomeGateWay “
    So if you look from outside you can get to the login page which is not protected by SSL which puts me in breach of my card processor’s security requirements.
    This also resolves to port 8080.
    I can’t see how to hide the log in page from the world or how to block port 8080?
    Hoping someone can help? I would like to avoid the hassle of buying and setting up another router.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
    I have implemented a SharePoint 2013 Portal with Form Based Authentication.
    I want to customize the look and feel of default login page.
    How could i do that?

    Hi,
    For your requirement, you can take a look at the three links below for a quick start:

  • Can't connect Windows 8.1 Enperprise to Windows Server 2012 Essentials. Get a Digest Login page and then a Blank with HTTP 404 Error page. Need help!

    Hi,
    I have make a new and clean install of Windows Server 2012 R2 Essentials on my office network server and then i made a new and clean install of Windows 8.1 Enterprise version on one of my office desktops.
    After all VPN and Anywhere Access where setup on the server i when to a PC that is inside my office network and browse on Internet Explorer to the URL to connect this PC to the server and make it part of the domain.
    But when i browse to the http://MYSERVERNAME/connect im not getting the Windows Server page with the option to download the windows connector. Instead i get a login pop-up saying "iexplore" and "digest". I try to create a user on the server
    and use that user login details on this login box, but even then, the only thing i get is a blank page saying a HTTP Error 404.
    So can someone please help me on this? Any advice on how to solve this problem in order to show the normal Windows Server connect page?
    Thanks

    Hi,
    Based on your description, please refer to following operations and troubleshoot this issue. Then check if
    can help us to narrow down the cause of this issue.
    Please type
    http://server-IP-address/connect in IE. Then check if encounter the same issue.
    On the Windows Server 2012 R2 Essentials, please open Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager. Navigate to Sites, then right click Default Web Site and select
    Edit Bindings… In Site Bindings, select Port 80 and click “Edit…” button. Would you please provide a screenshot of the Edit Site Binding (Port 80) that you can see?
    Then please click
    Connect which in the list of Default Web Site. In the mid panel, select
    .NET Authorization Rules and double click it. Then please check if all users were allowed.
    By the way, would you please provide a screenshot of the login page when you browser
    http://servername/connect? It may help me to understand this issue clearly.
    Meanwhile, please logon a problematic client computer and navigate to the path: C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows
    Server\Logs folder. Then check if there is Computerconnector log file. If there is, please check it if can find some clues. (Please note: the log file is a hidden file. Please open Control Panel, select Folder Options, select View tab and check Show hidden
    files, folders and drives. Then you will be able to find the log file.)
    If any update, please feel free to let me know.
    Hope this helps.
    Best regards,

  • Issue at login page using cookies

    Hello all
    I have some issue with my first cookies-jsp.
    Basically i have a homepage and i would like it to prompt a login form in case no cookies are found, and display the userName in case a cookie is found(and stored the name)
    In case the user have to log in, the data entered in the form are sent to a "Register" servlet.
    I will paste both the jsp and the servlet code, in the bottom i will explain then the problem
    The jsp
    <body>
            <h1 align="center" style="font-style:italic; color:olive">Welcome</h1>
            <%
            Cookie[] cookies=request.getCookies();
             if(cookies==null || cookies.length==1){
            %>
            <form action="Register" method="post">
            <table cellspacing="5" border="0" align="center">
               <tr>
                   <td align="right">Name:</td><td align="right"><input type="text" name="name"></td>
               </tr>
               <tr>
                   <td align="right">Email:</td><td align="right"><input type="text" name="email"></td>
               </tr>
               <tr>
                   <td align="right">Submit</td><td align="right"><input type="submit" value="submit"></td>
               </tr>
            </table>
            </form>
            <%
              else {
             String cookieName="userName";
             String cookieValue="";
              for(int i=0; i<cookies.length; i++){
                  Cookie cookie=cookies;
    if(cookieName.equals(cookie.getName())){
    cookieValue=cookie.getValue();
    %>
    <h3 align="center" style="font-style: italic; color:#6666FF">Welcome back <%=cookieValue%></h3>
    <%
    %>
    </body>
    The servlet (the relevant part, the doPost() method):protected void doPost(HttpServletRequest request, HttpServletResponse response)
    throws ServletException, IOException {
    //get the user details
    String name=request.getParameter("name");
    String email=request.getParameter("email");
    //create the cookie and add to response
    Cookie userName=new Cookie("userName",name);
    userName.setPath("/");
    userName.setMaxAge(60*60*24);
    response.addCookie(userName);
    //prepare for forwarding
    String url="/home.jsp";
    RequestDispatcher dispatcher=this.getServletContext().getRequestDispatcher(url);
    dispatcher.forward(request,response);
    The problem is that when i enter the userdetails the first time in the form (because no cookies was found), the login page with the form  is redisplayed, and if i click on refresh or reclick on th submit button then the message with the name is displayed.
    I dont understand this behaviour, since the amount of cookies after the first login is made will be "2", the homepage with the username should be redisplayed and not the one with the login form.
    Any advice?
    p.s:
    the  if(cookies==null || cookies.length==1){ its to prevent that the jsp will consider the JSESSIONID as "logged in" cookie

    Turn off the cache in your browser or set an expire header in your servlet.
    Also, you might want to consider using the servlet session instead of manipulating the cookie directly.

  • Login Page coming for Anonymous User

    Hi All,
    we have configured anonymous user for our portal. Created a role for anonymous access - added pages and iViews under that. All the iViews and pages are modified with authentication scheme property to Anonymous.
    Now when we access the portal with the url http://host:port/irj its showing the login box in the top part of the page and in the bottom part its showing the anonymous role which we created.
    Let me tell you what we have done...
    Created role, iViews for Anonymous role, set the authentication property to 'Anonymous'.
    In Visual Admin-> Server-> Services-> UME Provider set the variable ume.login.anonymous_user.mode to 1.
    Variable ume.login.basicauthentication to 1.
    Variable ume.login.guest_user.uniqueids to Guest.
    Then we have updated the index.html file under <drive>:\usr\sap\<SID>\<instance_number>\j2ee\cluster\serverX\apps\sap.com\irj\servlet_jsp\irj\root .. we changed
    <b><body onload="location.replace('portal' + document.location.search)"></body></b>
    to <b><body onload="location.replace('servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.portal.navigation.portallauncher.anonymous' + document.location.search)"></body></b>
    But now when a guest user accesses the portal http://host:port/irj it gived the strange screen (logon + content page) as I described earlier.
    Please let us know where are we missing...
    thanks & regards,
    Shubhadip

    Hi,
    1 .  I have created a iView and set the authentication scheme anonymous.
    2.  Also I created a role and added the iview to a role.
    3. The role has only 1 iview.  The entry pt is yes  for the iview
    4.  The role has permissions of end user for anonymous user.
    5 I checked the masthead iview also.. It aslo has authentication scheme anonymous
    When I try accessing the iView  in the form <http/https>://<server>:<port>/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/pcd!3aportal_content!2fmyfolder!2fmyiView
    I am able to view it without any login..
    But when the url is accessed <http/https>://<server>:<port>/irj/portal/anonymous
    I see a login page in the Detailed navigation..
    Please help me solve this problem ..
    Thanks,
    Preeti

  • New to jsp, login page errors

    help?

    login.java:56 is:
    connection.close();right? So, it looks like the call to getJdbcConnectionPool within authenticate throws an exception and control is passed to the finally block where connection is still null, resulting in the NPE. You should probably catch any exceptions thrown by the lookup for your datasource so you can see what the "real' error is.

  • Where do I apply this CSS file in the login page to get the required output

    Hi,
    I am an apex beginner. I got this html text from a 'Google Blank Search' for beautifying the login page. I have no idea where to copy and paste this CSS file in the 'login' edit page. If I open 'Edit Page template option, I can see page 'Definition' , 'Header' and 'Footer' and so many codes. In which part of these areas I Should copy this script to get the output.
    Thanks in advance...
    Please find the script below.

    Hi,
    Edit the page and add the styles into the HTML Header setting. Also ensure that the styles are enclosed within STYLE tags:
    &lt;style type="text/css"&gt;
    html, body {
    margin-top:30px;

  • Creating Login Pages - Server Behavior Issues

    Hello,
    I been trying to find a solution to this problem for this
    past week.
    I'm having issues with creating a login page. First, I get
    the page created with a username text box, password text box, save
    username checkbox, etc. Next, I add the server behavior for 'User
    Auth' - 'Login User'. Now..here's the problem. When I complete
    that, I get this error (SEE BELOW). Somehow the server behavior
    duplicates. I can't go on until I make one of them unique from the
    other. I tried every which way to delete it, but I can't. Any
    suggestions?
    SERVER BEHAVIOR ERROR
    "The server behavior panel cannot determine whether "Log In
    User" or "Log In User" is applied to your page. Please select Edit
    Server Behaviors and change one of the 2 behaviors to ensure that
    each is uniquely identifiable."
    NOTE: By using the "-" sign above the panel, I can't remove
    the duplicate.
    Also, when I create a login page, I do need to insert a form
    first("form1") and then place the username, password, checkbox
    inside that "form1" form I just created, correct?
    Thanks for all your help!

    You could do a redirect on the page that they do land on once
    succeeded.
    My personal preference would be to make one page, and only
    show the user
    groups parts of the page that they are allowed to see.

  • Hide login page for certain site

    Hello, I have a jsf project which I have implemented with NetBeans. What I want to do is add a login page before my first page is viewed that would have a specific username and password. But the tricky part is that I want the project to be inserted as a link or an iframe into another website, but since this website already has a login page, I want all the users that have logined into this website to be able to view my project directly, without showing the login page. Is that possible and how?

    Maybe this can be a solution: in the action associated to the <h:commandLink> in the page of the first website redirecting to your project you can access your backing bean of scope session which contains the authentication data of your user and create the logic with two different navigation rules. Example:
    public String goToTheProject(){
    //retrieve the bean with scope session
    if(myUser.isAuthenticated()){
      return "first_page";
    else{
      return "login";
    }

  • Boundary Testing of a Login page ..

    I couldn't find a relevant place to start this thread, could a mod please move it to the correct part, thank you.
    Hi,
    my problem is that i am not sure whether i can boundary test my login page. It consists of a username inputs and password input. i understand that boundary testing can be done on the validation; such as only a username of 10 or less characters can be entered.
    I also understand that normal data would be correct username and password and erroneous data would be blank filed(s).  The only thing i could think of for boundary testing would be correct username but incorrect password. however, this does not fit into
    the definition of boundary data and now i am doubting if i can even carry it out on my system.
    any help would be great,
    LTID

    This is what i suspected, so does this means i will only be able to do normal (correct password and username) and erroneous (blank fields) on the login page.
    Also, like you mentioned i have a register page. I have set textboxes to the maximum amount they can enter e.g. 10 characters for a username, but they have to have at least 1. so would this mean boundary testing would be 1 , 2 , 9 , 10, 11 and somewhere in
    between? thanks for your help!
    I don't know who you're addressing but if it's to me, then my point is that you need to enforce the rules (like the min/max number of characters, must include at least one upper and one lower case, or whatever else) when the user creates their login information.
    For that you can use the .Validating event handler and set it up to enforce your rules there.
    When the user logs in though, none of that applies. Your program will then just check that Username/Password combination (which should be instances of a class or structure) exists.
    Still lost in code, just at a little higher level.
