User profile will not load or login when I try to login, I have done a system retore, picked a restore point four days old and still can log in.

ODI Login Profiles / Connection Info

Where does ODI store the login profile information i.e. username/password + associated connection profiles. Is it in a config file somewhere in the ODI directory structure?

I thought that was the case. In that case how would it be possible to have 2 different lists of profiles? When I access ODI from shortcuts on the desktop I get the list I expect to see and the details present in the config files you mentioned. However when I access any of the ODI modules from the Programs menu I get a completely different list of profiles which I can't find in any of the config files. Any ideas??
My ODI version is 10

What happened to my login profile password?

I recently had my hard drive replaced at my local Apple Store. The drive was failing and my iMac is covered under AppleCare so it was no cost to me and because my iMac is two years old, i got an upgrade from 320 GB stock drive to the current standard 500GB. I returned home and was surprised to find that they recovered ALL of my information. I am thankful for this. The ONLY difference is the login profile pictures have been changed. I thought this seemed normal considering the circumstances, yet when i logged into my profile, the only profile with a password, it did not require a password. I want to make sure my profile has a password on it, and now it doesn't. I go to change it in System Preferences and it requires me to enter my old password. I enter my old password, with my login profile name, and it says it is incorrect. I looked online and found somewhere that Apple Stores are not allowed to change your passwords. I understand in this case that they may have had to, but since it is policy, i assume they did not. If so, what happened to my password? I also see online that you can change a forgotten password by inserting the Mac OSX Install Disk, restarting and changing it there. I began to do this process, but stopped, seeing as before the Restart, it asks me for my login name and password in order to change information. I will try this process, but my original question remains. "What happened to my login profile password?"

so i realized that they changed the admin on my computer, OR when they put all my stuff back on my computer, it automatically made the admin by alphabetical order, since my (old admin) profile is second on the list. i dont understand why the admin profile would change. and there used to not be a keychain password on that profile. i cant even remove programs now. do i have to back up my files and wipe my computer? start from scratch?

Whenever I use IM on yahoo, it chats with people as [email protected], but I am logged in as [email protected]
Has anyone had this issue? Any thoughts... solutions?

Cannot load login profile for windows clients

i am using leopard 10.5.3.my users have a default windows profile path at /Server HD/Users/Profiles/username.when i login from windows clients some users cannot load the profile.the following error is displayed in windows clients
windows cannot load your roaming profile.
please help me to resolve this issue

I am having the same issue the clients can save the data to the path therefore cant read it upon logon...Grrrrr

Shell Help - .login, .profile etc.

I have installed a program, which directs me to do the following:
"C shell users should add the following command to their .cshrc or .login scripts:
source /Applications/Ampac-8.16/init_ampac.csh
Bourne or BASH shell users should add the following command to their .profile or .bash_profile scripts:
. /Applications/Ampac-8.16/init_ampac.sh"
This modification apparently informs other components of the path to a program, since when using the application, I get an error message " ... Main Directory not found."
I am unsure of the zsh version of the .login or .profile files. I have searched for the obvious, without success. If I use Terminal preferences, then usr/bin/login is not executed, and lots of other things break (scripts won't execute - command not found).
I do not know how to edit the script for usr/bin/login, and am unsure if this is even the answer.

In your home directory you may need to create a file named .cshrc if you are using the C shell or .profile if you are using bash. Create the appropriate file with your editor of choice, say vi, and enter that line of code. Exit & close the terminal window. start a new window and everything should work.

CAC login profile

Configured 10.4 for CAC enabled login but shutdown before establishing account to work. Upon restart it asks me to login to Darwin but no username password combos work. No success in safe mode yet. After two unsuccessful login attempts it loads a blue screen and a rotator wheel.

Login/Profile Picture

Hi all,
Finally bought my first Mac so apologies for the newbie questions :|
I want to change the log in photo and I have a pic saved in iPhoto that I want to use. When I go to user accounts the only profile pics I can see are the default Apple ones.
How do I use my own pic? I'm sure it's probably something simple but just can't see where I'm meant to go.

Logon issues - 2 users (G4 + G5) migrated to MacBookPro = 3 login profiles

So have finally upgraded to a MacBook Pro 17" i7 and have migrated user info from my previous models (PowerBook G4 17" and a PowerG5 - both separate users/logins).
My new MacBook Pro has a separate identity.
I've been using Microsoft for Mac 04 on both the G4 + G5 since 2004 and I understand that this should still be usable on the MacBook Pro (yes Microsoft Office for Mac, including Rosetta, is installed on MacBook Pro).
I have loaded Microsoft Office onto the MacBook Pro login - but Microsoft does not work - it just freezes mid loading of software application i.e. Word, Excel, Entourage or PowerPoint! When I attempted to open Entourage it came up with "unable to use with this identity".
Am I right in assuming that this is because my Microsoft office software is not licenced for "another Mac"?
If so I guess I would need to delete Microsoft from the G4 + G5 user environments thereby allowing only the MacBook Pro authority to access the software?
I really want/need to import user info from all previous Macs esp Entourage Project Centre (contacts, related client work files etc).
Have saved all data (and preferences) from G4 + G5 onto an external Hard Drive as well. So just would like some pointers on how to best sort the above issues.
*Is there a better solution?* - other than switching to iWork
(I know, I know - switch to iWork instead is clearly an option. I do have that loaded as well but I still need to access Microsoft Office when clients send their 40pg documents to me in Word and all their formatting is out of whack in Pages!!! In order to open in word I currently have to switch user logons and access document separately.
Is the following a plausible option?
Delete/remove/uninstall Office from G4 + G5 login environments thereby allowing only the MacBook Pro environment the authority to use Microsoft Office.
If so, how do I integrate my G4 + G5 user preferences (i.e. Entourage mail, client contacts, project info and linked documents) into my MacBook Pro User ID?

Have you tried simply running disk utility and repairing permissions?

User Login problems

Last night I booted up my laptop and logged in as usual. However, when logging in, it took some time to log in. I noticed that everything was reset to something similar to a new user. It acted like my user login profile did not exist. It did allow me to log in, but non of my application specific data, side bar, my documents, etc existed. Everything was wiped clean. All programs were still there, so no factory reset or restore was done.
Since I did a backup on the 11th, I decided to restore from that backup. However, after multiple attempts to do so, I still get the same result everytime I restore. My username exist, but the user profile data is gone and never shows up.
Did a scan disk as well and nothing found to be wrong with the hard drive. The only thing I can think of, is Saturday before I shut down, there were some Windows updates that were installed. I have not used my laptop till Wednesday evening. Since my backup was before the windows update, I figured this would solve the issue but with no luck.
Any help would be appreciated.

Creating Personal Profile Pages

Hello,
I'm using DW CS3 with the Toolbox extension. Basically, I
want to create a site where users can post their own profile page.
Each user would need to register, then login.
I can create the login, profile and edit profile pages, no
problem; but how do I direct a user so that when logged in, they
only see their profile page? Right now, when logging in, it always
points to the same profile page.
Is there a tutorial on this specific topic? Do I need to use
Session variables?
I'm using WAMP, mySQL and PHP.

Command line control Profile Manager 2

Greeting All,
Any guide that introduce command line that can control Profile Manager 2 to make device camera on/off? Do know is this possible via command line?
Here is the sernario.
1. User scan a QR code that trigger App to commnuicate Profile Manager turn off camera.
2. App to login Profile Manager in background and turn off camera in profile.
3. Profile Manager push profile to trun off device camera.
4. App logout Profile Manager in background.
Any advise is welcome.

The CommandLine tool is also shipped with JCAPS and which is very useful to tool.
We can do deploy, redeploy and undeploy with this tool. and the respective docs are available as said in the above location.

Default Start TCODE when User login

Where can I configure the custom TCODE?
When User login, it would automatically execute the TCODE which will displayed open delivery order to be picked?
Can this be set inside the login profile?

Hi Colin,
In the SAP easy access screen, go to the "Extras" in the top menu screen and click on "Set Start Transaction"
It will give you a popup.
There you can give a custom transaction code, so that the next time user logs in, it will open the Transaction code that you have set.
Please note this setting is user dependent.

Something similar to /etc/profile in LDAP?

My /etc/profile contains a logging feature which tracks the history of a local user. It doesn't work for ldap users though since I don't think LDAP looks at this file when ldap users login to a client.
Is there some way to make ldap users use this file as the initial login profile or is there some way to setup something similar in LDAP? ldapaddent won't add this file. The only thing I can think of is to make some sort of change on cn=default,ou=profile,dc=example,dc=com but I'm unsure as to whether that will work or how exactly to set it up.

Hi Liam. Thanks for your reply. When I used the Update Credit Card option and tested the form, I got the error message "Credit Card Payment Failed….Invoice Number Not Found". But after search for that error message in this forum, I found out that I should be using the "Credit Cards (existing orders)" option. This has worked, ie payment was successfully processed and was applied to the existing order; a new invoice was not created. I have received a receipt from the payment gateway (eWay) but not one from BC. Also, upon successfully submitting the form, I was then taken to a totally blank page. I'll have to do some more testing to see whether the blank page was just a one off. If not, I'll try adding code in the Action part of the form to redirect to specific page.
So thanks for your help. Though it didn't give me the correct answer, it l led me to it.

How to enable PIN authentication to make outgoing call , without login?

In my organization, there are 2 type of user defined by management, which is user uses Extention Mobility(Login/Logout) at any IP Phone and the other side is users uses share ip phone as common number. each user have their own login profile, but how can i enable the sharing user do not have to login but they can uses their PIN to make outgoing call without login to ip phone. This features we normally found in analog phone where each user have personal PIN for outgoing call. for your infomation we're using CCM4.1(3)sr3c and IPPhone 7940 and 7960..Thanks in advance..

It sounds like you want to use Forced Authorization Code. On the route pattern out check 'Require Forced Authorization Code' and set a level. Callers using the route pattern will now be prompted to enter their code with 3 beeps. Go under Feature-Forced Authorization Code and create some codes. If the codes are the same or higher level as what is assigned to the route pattern the call will go out.
