Login prompt showing up on mobile devices on publishing anonymous access website

We have a website that is a publishing site using anonymous access.  The website works fine except on a mobile device a login prompt pops up.  if you press cancel the website works fine.  It only happens if you go to the homepage.  I
have ensured everything is checked in etc.  Is there anyway to find out why this is happening?

Hi,
For your issue, try to disable the mobile view:
Go to Site settings => Manage site feature => deactivate "Mobile Browser View"

  • TOC not showing up on mobile devices after generating Multiscreen HTML5 output?

I'm using a trial version of RoboHelp 10. I created a project and used the screen profile: Android_Galaxy_Tab and the Screen Layout" Android_Tablet_Layout and generated HTML5 output from that. I navigate to the folder on my computer and click index.htm and it shows up in Chrome browser fine, but I upload (via FTP) the exact files to my web server and navigate to the web files and the TOC doesn't show up. As well as on mobile devices. The web files are here www.superdesigngirl.com/android_galaxy_tab/index.htm. Do I need to publish the files to the web via RoboHelp? Is this a known issue? Am I setting something wrong? Please help. Katherine.

    Thanks Peter,
    Observations:
When your site is uploaded to our server, and we access it with our mobile devices, we experience the same issue with the TOC refreshing instead of drilling down. The same sort of thing happens when we access your index - regardless of which topic we try to display, clicking on any link simply refreshes the index. We didn't have this problem with our own index. I wonder what's different?
When we access your site, directly via our iPad, it works perfectly. However, when we access your site via my Windows Phone (Nokia Lumia 920 running Phone 8) I experience the same problem of your TOC refreshing like ours does. Also, your index doesn't work on that phone, whereas ours does.
I should probably add that what I uploaded to our server was everything in the \empcareus\EmployeeCareUS\EmployeeCareUS_Project\!SSL!\Multiscreen_HTML5 directory to our testing server at ****.com.au/onlinehelpdemo/mobile/emp
Was that the right thing to do?
I've also thought this might be a permissions issue, but setting all file/folder permissions to 777 hasn't made a difference.
    Cheers.
UPDATE: I took our files home and uploaded them to my own web server. They work perfectly on my Windows phone and iPad. Something's wrong at the work server end, I guess. Any ideas?

  • Downloaded PDF has a print only watermark showing up on Mobile Devices

    Hello,
I have around 60 documents that I am trying to make available for a client on our online Storefront for download on IPads. We needed to prevent them from printing the documents after downloading them as we have the printed books available seperately. We added watermarks to the documents that are only supposed to show up when printed and when testing on a PC/Laptop we were able to get the results we wanted. However, when we went to test on the Ipads (we tested two different ones) the watermark would show up regardless of the settings.
I am using the latest version of Adobe Acrobat to add the watermarks. I'm not sure if this has something to do with the documents being downloaded into iBooks on the Ipad, but I suspect it's part of the issue.
    Please advise.

Many non-Adobe PDF viewers do not respect the visibility settings of layers, watermarks or backgrounds; and will show them all the time.

  • How do i fix the "Unable to install Apple Mobile Device USB Driver" problem access denied

My new iphone 5c will not work with my laptop.  The apple mobile usb driver will not install.  'Access denied' is the final message in the diaolgue box of the device load error.  The device is recognized but there is the yellow triangle with the exclamation point on it indicating an error installing.   I've removed itunes and its components as directed step by step ..... twice.....  I've disabled antivirus, firewalls, and even created a second admin profile in hopes that it would load the driver.   Nothing is working.  The apple person was supposed to call me back after we were on the phone 90 minutes.  Well.... I guess she did not.  Help!!!  I would love to sync my phone.  Any ideas?

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

  • When I open iTunes my iPhone 4S will not show up as a device.

When I open iTunes my iPhone 4S will not show up as a device. I have tried the advice provided by Apple. I have gone through the iPhone Troubleshooting Assistant. That gave no solutions. I have tried the other solutions offered by Apple. I think that I have possibly identified the problem. As far as I know the Apple Mobile Device USB Driver is not installed on my computer. I have tried to install it but when I do I receive an error message. I repeat the entire error message in the following paragraph. The message appears in a dialogue box with the name: "Update Driver Software - iPhone".
"Windows encountered a problem installing the driver software for your device. Windows found driver software for your device but encountered an error while attempting to install it. Apple Mobile Device USB Driver. Access is denied. If you know the manufacturer of your device, you can visit its website and check the support section for driver software."
I cannot find a solution to this problem on Apple's website. How can I get this driver installed?

  • Apple mobile device - tried everything!!!

After updating iTunes, I had window showing that apple mobile device is not turned ON I checked this first and under accesories control panel in services I found apple mobile device which is saying started. O.K, read hundreds of messages and removed iTunes thousands of times, installed the newest one, still does not work, funny thing is that my iPhone does sync with music library and photos and all other stuff, but I cant get new software or restore factory setting either. Any magic?

Okay, so the same thing is happening to me. I do not have a Mac.
I uninstalled that Apple Device Mobile Support but I don't think that helped at all.
    I don't really know what I'm doing.
Everything I plus in my iPhone it doesn't pop up in my iTunes.
    Please help!

  • HELP!! Homepage photos are not loading properly on mobile devices!!!

Can anyone help me figure out why or how to fix images on homepages for mobile devices?
www.modalight.com is the website we've been working on and everything loads properly on desktop browsers but once we try to load it onto an iOS or Android operating system for mobile devices, things seem to get messed up with just the bottom image. What we have been encountering is on the iPhone (most tested) the bottom image does not exist at all and we suspect the scrolling effect is not present but there is no way to actually tell since the image is not there and both backgrounds are white. On the Android phone (most tested) the scrolling effects on the bottom image are there but the bottom image blows up and you can only see the candy portion of the image.
Also, when looking at the boxes in Muse there is a random imaginary box that we can't seem to get rid of. It will show up on mobile devices as well but when we get rid of all the surrounding boxes, the imaginary box disappears as well.
Any ideas or solutions would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you for your time.

I still have my ancient Photoshop  6.0.1 copyright 1989-2001 installed, and when I use it, it prints o.k. (well, not beautiful, but looks like a photo ).  If I print through windows it's o.k. too, it's just PSE 10 that it's pixellated like that, which is why I think it must have something to do with PSE 10.  The black & white photo above that shows the pixels, is actually a photograph that I took of the printout.  What I did with the one below is to print it on paper, scan the printout to PDF, then opened the PDF in PSE10 and saved it as JPG then uploaded it here. so it is more "true"

My version of iTunes is current. My PC's operating system is Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium Service Pack 2.

if you haven't resolved that issue , i had the same problem and after 2 days working on it i found a solution , windows security wasn't letting me chage permisions or install any new software here's what i did :
    1- control panel
    2- system and security
3- under windows  firewall click on allow a program over windows firewall
4- what i did was click on every single box there is on private not public
5- click accept , after i  went to device manager right click iphone update driver  , you shouldn't have the access denied anymore

  • Video latency on mobile device

I am working on an application that connects two peers in audio/video using rtmfp.
When a peer wants to talk with another, first it exchanges peer-id and stream-name with the other and then publishes its microphone/camera (in “live” mode) and plays the other peer stream. As usual in Flash platform. Message exchange in my application is server directed (I am using FMS 4), stream connection is peer-to-peer.
Now, all works fine when the two peer run on Adobe AIR for PC. But when one or both run on a mobile platform (iOS 4.3.3 for example) I experience a strange random latency. Sometime latency on the mobile side is near zero, sometime it grows to 3 even 5 or more seconds. So the communication is not really possible.
I tried to narrow down latency by testing different values of bufferTime both on incoming and on outgoing stream: bufferTime = 0 does not work fine on mobile side; using bufferTime = 0 in the output stream and bufferTime=0.3 on incoming stream works better.  With this values when video is not involved all works fine. But when one of the two peer attaches a camera then the result is not always the same: sometime latency is acceptable sometime it is not: bufferLength of the incoming stream (playing stream) grows to 3 or more seconds and then it goes up and down. Using bufferTimeMax do not improve latency. On the pc side bufferLength is near zero.
I noted that on the pc side sometime I got a NetStream.Buffer.Empty on the incoming stream so I am thinking that the problem is related to cpu resources on mobile side (I am using an iPhone 4). To lower resource consumption I set Camera.setQuality(0,100) and Camera.setMode(80,60,3). Microphone is configured to use Speex with encodeQuality = 6. But the problem remains.
Is the video playback of Flash Air on mobile device fast enough?
The two peer in my test are on the same LAN and the mobile device use Wi-Fi access. I use Flash CS 5.5 and AIR 2.7.
Does anyone have an explanation of this behavior?
    Thanks
    Michelangelo

    Hi,
after a month of tests I stopped looking for a solution.
In the last test I tried to split (desynchronize) audio stream and video stream so I had two different play buffers on which I tested different bufferTime values. I was hoping to have a low predictable latency on audio playback (that is more important for my application) and a different not specified latency on video. But my test failed: this solution works as the solution where audio and video have the same buffer and this is very revealing.
I don't know if this problem is related to:
a my error in configuring audio/video stream
a flash player bug (on iOS) in live mode
a high resource consumption of the Sorenson Spark codec implementation on AIR for iOS
I posted my initial question to learn from someone anything useful to distinguish among those alternatives. I tend towards the third.

  • Simple database in html5/jquery/javascript portable to mobile devices

    Hi
I am writing a small freeware educational application for mobile devices and as (source) a website for browsers. Have (hopefully) come up with the right environment, i.e. html5 + javascript. Probably I will also include jquery for better gui capabilities.
I am facing another choice. I need to use some basic database functionality for keeping irregular verbs. What would be the most efficient way to go: html/javascript/jquery?
Have no thorough programming knowledge, but once I know which way to take, I usually can make it to the end.
    Thank you for any suggestions.

  • Steps to configure mobile devices to open ssrs 2008 r2 reports

    Hi,
We have a requirement to setup mobile devices for users to access their reports via report manager. I have researched these forums and found some information on the supported browser versions on these devices, and some issues faced by users on the iphone,
ipad etc. But I need a step by step guide on how to set up the end to end process. I am fairly new to SSRS, so can someone help me?
    Thanks.

'''Did you backup whatever bookmarks you did have on the computer ? '''
Remember any restoring of bookmarks overwrites whatever he current set is, and you may not want to loose them.
Even if up until now you have not made any backups of Desktop bookmarks Firefox will have backed up some of them into sets of daily bookmark backups. Once you have backed up your current set you could look at what it has by restoring those bookmarks, you may find one of those sets is fairly complete.
By the way if you look at the profile files and folders that you should now have on the desktop you should see it contains a bookmarks backup folder, the size of the files within should indicate whether they contain anything.
You need to go into the bookmarks library and try the restore option. Backup each set that you look at if it has anything of use in it, before trying the next set. With look one of those will be a fairly complete set of bookmarks.
    * USE '''Show All Bookmarks -> Import and Backup -> Restore '''
** see [[Restore bookmarks from backup or move them to another computer#w_restoring-from-backups]]_restoring-from-backups
I do not use Firefox on mobiles, but before you try anything further you do need to backup the desktop bookmarks and learn what existing backups you have. Unless you master that you are in continual danger of overwriting and loosing bookmarks.
Presumably you have already found this listing of help articles for mobiles
