  • Why can't I access Adobe Media Encoder

I have been successfully using all of the apps in Creative Cloud much of the time. However, there have been some inexplicable issues. My account is current. I just received that verification. When I try to launch Media Encoder this error message appears. "Thank you for using Adobe Media Encoder CS6. The Adobe product that installed Media Encoder has not activated. Please launch and activate the Adobe product before continuing to use Media Encoder." I have used this Creative Cloud version of Media Encoder numerous times. It just doesn't want to work now. I can run other Creative Cloud apps, the problem seems to be with Media Encoder only.

  • Adobe Media Encoder Streaming with Mac

I really want to use a mac to broadcast internet radio. I
notice that the streaming media encoder only seems available for
PC. Am I missing something? I have Flash CS3 and other Adobe CS3
software. Is there anything I can do to stream Flash Media from a
    Mac.
I suppose I could use a Windows computer just to handle the
stream, but how do I get the stream from the mac to the Windows
    computer if I do that.
I'm planning on using a Streaming service for the actual
streaming but I'm just trying to get it from my computer in the
    best possible way.

how about connecting an audio cable form the mac to the pc?
But seriously, it's a shame that FME isn't available to OSX.
if you have an Intel Mac, you could use bootcamp or Parallels
desktop (just an example) to run Windows apps on top of OSX (we've
    done this)

  • HLS stream cannot renew when adobe media encoder restart

    Hi,
I used adobe media server 5.0 in Red Hat 4.1.2 and adobe meida encoder 3.2 to recording HLS stream(get ts file), there's no problem when first running(use jwplayer to view the steam), but when I disconnect adobe media encoder for some time(about 12 hours) and reconnect the encoder, I found hls stream cannot renew, always stay on the moment I disconnect the encoder.
I know delete adobe media server old data(f4f, f4x) solve the problem, is there a way that adobe media server can renew the stream automatically?
    Thanks very much.

If you are not concerned with your .f4f fragments (storing them), then pass "&adbe-record-mode=record" string along with your rtmp stream ID. This will erase the entire /streams/<streamid> directory and re-publish.  However, jwplayer will receive an error.. For jwplayer to cycle automatically on error, just reload the same .m3u8 below with this error function when you load the jwplayer
    jwplayer("hlsPlayer").onError(function(event) {
    jwplayer('hlsPlayer').load({file: "http://example.com/hlslive/livepkgr/_definst_/liveevent/liveevent.m3u8",duration: "27"}
    jwplayer('hlsPlayer').play()

  • Adobe Media Encoder CS 6 works for one user login - not the other

Slightly odd... but Adobe Media Encoder CS 6 will open fine in my basic test user account but not my main user account (or guest account).
In my main account in will crash just before it starts to load up all the bits 'n' pieces but loads up perfectly in my test account.
So there's no problem other than something different about the USER accounts and I really can't work out what that could be. Anyone got any ideas?
I also have AME 5.5 in both accounts and they both work perfectly.

Oh, I've just realised that chucking away the AME prefs from (below) has solved the problem. Someone mentioned chucking away prefs in another thread but I must have chucked the wrong ones. So, if anyone else has this problem then try this...
USER Library > Preferences > Adobe > Adobe Media Encoder (chucked this whole folder way containing 5.5 and 6 prefs). New ones were made and both working perfectly

  • Adobe Media Encoder CS4 crash on startup

    Hello,
I've been using and troubleshooting with the help of Adobe forums for quite a few years now (thank you to everyone), but I don't recall actually ever posting anything, as of yet.
Problem:  Adobe Media Encoder was working fine yesterday and today it continually crashes on startup. I have accessed it alone through Start menu and also tried exporting a sequence from Premiere Pro as well as After Effects.  AME crashes every single time. I'm not sure what is going on. I cannot provide the specs as I'm on a work computer (which I think should be scrapped for junk) and it's a dodgy little machine.  Anybody else having problems with AME CS4?
I've also attached two screen shots. It's of the splash screen when it crashes and the error report.
    Thanks,
    nk

Ok so here's what happened to me: AME gave me the error "AME stopped working" It was working just fine the day before. Here is a list in sequence of what I did to try to resolve this issue. Reboot program, reboot computer, moved the project to its own Terabyte hard drive to make sure I had enough room to create the temp folders it needed when AME exports, Uninstalled all of the CS4 create suite then reinstalled and downloaded the 834MB update file, Prayed really hard, search forums, Cried out to God, came across this thread but it didn't sound right that all I had to do was delete a one KB xml file. But I started down that path anyway.  c:\Users\'your account'\appdata\roaming\adobe\Adobe Media Encoder\4.0\ is a file called 'Watch Folder Info.xml'  Im running Windows 7 and I had to show hidden folders http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial151.html once I could see the folders I had to take control of them. I thought I was the system admin but it didn't appear that way so I had to take ownership of the file http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/add-take-ownership-to-explorer-right-click-me nu-in-vista/ I finally got in and deleted the file and now it is working. It automatically created another watchfolder.xml but its still working. I think this is ridiculous that Adobe has this issue. It seems every 4 months or so PP has this huge issue that stops all my work. If wish I could find something more reliable but I have invested to many years into PP. I'm stuck.

  • Adobe Media Encoder cs5 - No audio

I am using Adobe Media Encoder cs5 version 5.0.1.0 on a Windows XP Service Pack 3 32-bit machine.  None of the wmv or avi files I try to encode have the audio track encoded.  I have tried encoding with both the "F4V - Match Source Attributes" and "FLV - Web 640 x 480" presets.  Neither of these encode the audio output at all.  The audio track plays correctly in Windows Media Player.  Has anyone else had this problem?

Very interesting data, Wayne.  Very interesting.
    > I am not sure how to encode to the other formats using AME, so I could not complete these tests.
Sorry, that's my fault.  Ignore that test.  I didn't realize you are using the Web Premium suite.  The other formats I referred to are only available if you have Premiere Pro, After Effects, or the Production Premium suite installed.  (I knew this by subconscious deduction, actually, since those products require a 64-bit version of Windows 7 or Vista and you stated that you're on XP 32-bit.  It just didn't trickle out to my conscious brain.)
Let's back off for a second and review what we know.  Please correct me if I'm wrong about any of these points.
You have WMV and AVI source video files.  The audio in the AVI files is encoded as PCM or MP3.
You can hear the audio in these files when you play them in Windows Media Player.
Encoding these files to FLV, F4V, or H.264 appears to complete successfully in AME CS5.
You can not hear the audio of the encoded files in Windows Media Player, Adobe Media Player, or VLC.
Inspecting the encoded files in VLC and Audacity shows both that an audio track exists and that there is a waveform in that track.
Using a different user account on the same machine does not exhibit the problem.
Encoding your source files on a different machine using AME CS4 (your colleague) or AME CS5.5 (my computer, with the sample you posted) does not exhibit the problem.
So, yes, this is most intriguing.  The difference in your ability to hear your source files but not the encoded files is most curious.
    I do wonder:
If you take one of your encoded files to a different machine, does the audio play? (If you post a sample, I'll try it here.)
Since Audacity shows a waveform for the encoded files, can your hear the audio in that application?
The only thing I can think of that is unique about the formats that you are using AME to encode to (FLV, F4V, and H.264) is that those formats all use compressed audio.  MP3 in the FLV format, and AAC in F4V and H.264.  (FYI - F4V is simply H.264 insided of a Flash video wrapper.)  What could be unique under your user account related to that?  I don't know.  Possibly if there is a utility on your machine related to compressed audio, that might be intercepting the audio stream in some way.  Do you have any software designed for capturing compressed audio from the Internet?  Or it could be related to the audio card drivers on your machine.
It might be worth sniffing around the %appdata% folder on your account and temporarily disposing of the folders for other programs.  If you can isolate something that way, you may be on the right path.
You might also want to run msconfig (Start > Run > msconfig) to disable background applications and services that could be hijacking the audio.  Go to the Startup tab there, clear everything, reboot, and see what happens.  If that works, start putting the services back one-by-one until you find the culprit.

  • Adobe Media Encoder CS5.5 Mac Will Not Open!

As of late, my AME has not been able to open at all. I really don't know how this happened.
    My specs
Macbook Pro 13" Mid 2010 model
Processor 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
    4GB Ram
    Mac OSX 10.8.3
I keep having crash errors reported bad access. And then I try to start reading the debug code, and then I fall over. And I usually do well with reading crash reports.
Any ideas? I have tried loading with default preferences and removing all third-party plugins.

I have the same problem since I update my mac book pro Mac Lion 10.7.3

  • Adobe Media Encoder Export like source size

    Hey,
i´m trying to set up a custom export setting based upon HD BlueRay Mpeg setting.
My source is a custom size (1400 x 1050 px), but i am not able to change to "size as source".
Any Ideas how to change that?
    THX
    MArco

    Marco,
You can use AME to encode a 1400x1050 M2V file.
You need to use the generic MPEG2 format (not Blu-ray or DVD) and change the Level to High. (High 1440 will also work, but it is designed for specific applications.) You will also need to set the Profile to Main or High.
The most important factor is what type of MPEG2 streams your playback device will support. That will be important for setting the Profile and Level values, which constrain the bitrate and therefore the frame size/frame rate of the MPEG2 stream. (This is what Mylenium was referring to.)
Read this for more technical detail about different Profiles and Levels:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/H.262/MPEG-2_Part_2#Video_profiles_and_levels
You cannot transfer encoding presets between After Effects and AME. However, remember than you can encode an After Effects comp directly from AME without rendering an intermediate comp first. Either drag and drop the comp from AE's Project panel into the AME queue, or simply import the AE project into AME, and choose the comp you wish to render. In the next version of After Effects, this process will be much easier with the introduction of a new Add To Adobe Media Encoder command from within After Effects.
    http://blogs.adobe.com/aftereffects/2013/04/whats-new-changed-after-effects-next.html
If you want to contact in-person support for AME, visit the following page and choose After Effects as the product (there is no AME option because AME is not sold separately).

I have been taking the .mov files (they were rendered to QT using Animation)
using Adobe Media Encoder h.264 which gives me a .mp4 file. (but like I said...some are not working on iOS).
so what is the traick with Adobe Media Encoder???

    (stream complatabilty did not matter)

IOS does not support autoplay for audio or video.
