Login to administrator

I am using the username/password combination
Administrator/SADMIN
but I cannot login to the administrator
I get the message:
nQSError: 37001 Could not connect to the Oracle BI Server Instance
nQSError: 43002 Authentication failed for Administrator in repository Star: invalid user/password

You cannot connect if your ODBC name has a space in it. So 'LocalRPD' will work, but 'Local RPD' will not work.

Failure of ACL setting for CIFS share resource on Windows client logined with administrator account

Hi,
We accounter a puzzle of ACL setting for a CIFS share resource. In our application, we use the
administrator account to login a Windows 7 OS which is used as the CIFS client. We can access the share resource by "\\server_ip" on this CIFS client, but we can't add
a new ACE to the ACL of a CIFS share resource provided by a CIFS server.
Why dose this hanppen? Note that the CIFS server maybe a Windows OS or a self-developed CIFS server.
The operation details as followed:
1.Access the share resource by "\\server_ip", login the CIFS server by a valid account on the CIFS server.
2.On the Windows client, select the "Security" panel in the mouse-right-button properties dialog of a cifs share resource.
3.To add a new ACE for someone eg. user0, we input "user0" in the "Select Users ans Groups" dialog popped up.
4.Click OK, but the Windows client will not get the user information for user0 from the CIFS server.
WHY?
5.By wireshare network trace, we find the Windows client didn't send any SAMR requests to the CIFS server.
6.Restart the Windows client OS and login again with another account except administrator, carry out the above operations. We find that the Windows client can get the user information, opposite with the step 4 above.
WHY?
7.By wireshare network trace, we find that the Windows client has sent SAMR requests to the CIFS server to get user informations. But that is different from step 5, WHY?
If the Windows client OS is login with administrator account, is there any configuration on Windows client to decide whether request user information on CIFS server when setting ACL for CIFS share resource?

Could not login as Administrator in bi analytics 10.1.3.4.1

When i try to login as Administrator in BI Analytics, then the below issue appears:
Path not found (/shared/DB Reports/_portal/Prod Reports/dashboard layout)
Error Details
Error Codes: U9KP7Q94
Every services are up, also the login page is coming, but when i give the credentials of any user including the Administrator, then it shows the above message. I have checked the log in OracleBIData\web\log directory, but there is such messages related to it. The last few lines of log tells us that services are up successfully. I have also checked the instanceconfig.xml, it is also pointing to the correct directory.
Only thing I have changed is: I replaced the entire production report folder and the corresponding .atr file in the development server under the following location
D:\OracleBIData\web\catalog\samplesales\root\shared (in the production environment server also the report folder is in the same location).

initially i was using OCI for connecting to the database and i didnt define any ODBC driver in my system DSN. but when the import got failed again and again, then i setup the ODBC driver in the system DSN and retried the import. again the same probblem is appearing.
i have checked the table structures in the database. all are simple tables with or without a primary key and several foreign keys and indexes.
please suggest.

When I click the login server administration link in the services portlet under the administer tab I get the following error

Using lion 10.7.4, can`t login as administrator or root (both enabled) at login screen. it shows other but when selected it will not accept correct entry.

Can you check if your Admin server is running? On windows you can check using Services Panel and on Linux you can check using "ps" commands

Login as Administrator

I'm logged onto Snow Leopard as an administrator but when I try to download a game, it says I need to login as an administrator. This was never a problem before.

The checkbox will be greyed out if you don't have the Accounts pane unlocked, so that may be normal. If you haven't done so already, you can repair permissions via Disk Utility and see if that turns up anything. I'd also suggest verifying the disk, though you'll have to boot from the SL installer disk to repair should any errors turn up.
If that doesn't help, try to post the full error message and perhaps I or someone else here will have additional suggestions.

I just installed JCE on my new CF10 and now can't login to administrator, what am I doing wrong?

I have CF 10,284568 installed on SUSe 12.2 with Java 1.7.0_15 64bit. When I swap out the two JCE files, restart Coldfusion, I can no longer login to the Administrator. To be more specific, it appears session management isn't working. If I login using a bad username/password pair I get an error, if I login with the correct pair I get returned to the login screen without any error. Additionally, none of my datasources work (MySQL ). If I swap out the original (local policy and US export policy jars) and restart everything works fine.
What am I doing wrong? Do I need to run something in the CF bin or reinstall to get this to work?

Can you please check if you are applying the right version of Policy Files ? Or Am I missing something here ? Can you also try with the latest Java and latest CF Update ?

Unable to login as administrator after creating new standard account

Just got a nice new MBP form work today.
When logged in as the admin I created a new standard account for my personal use. I then shut down the laptop.
After booting up I am presented with a default icon, my standard use name, and a field to enter my password. I can login to this account fine. If I click on the arrow next to the username (this seems pretty poor UX - it annoyingly takes a while to appear, and how is a new user supposed to know what it is for? /vent), and then click on 'other' and enter my admin username and password, it is not accepted and the password field just shakes.
Am I missing something obvious?

Yep, the Display login window is set to List of users. The password that has been set up is the passwsord I've been using for several months at work, so that cannot be the issue.

When I set up the standard user account, there was definately an administrator account in the user list. I also installed some work related applications which are not present when logged in to the standard account.
I've got to say that these forums are very helpful - thanks for the suggestions. I'll speak to the person who set up everything tomorrow, and post back what the problem/solution was.

Can not login as administrator on domain.local (2003 server)

i am using 2003 server. i have 30 users connected to domain.local.
1 user is using windows XP i am not able to login as an administrator on same domain. i have to install few applications but i still tried a lot.
same admin user n password is working on all other users.
even i have given admin rights to same user but still on that XP machine it is login inn but not as administrator.
i treid same user on other XP machine it works fine as administrator.
would you please help out?

Any workstation has a local administrator, perhaps but not necessarily a local user, and can be logged on to by any local user/administrator. In addition a station should be accessible by domain users and domain administrators. In XP there may
be a drop down for selecting a domain vs. a local logon, whereas in Windows 7 and later you must type in the station or the domain name in this format: domain\user or station\user followed by the password.
I cannot tell from your post if you are attempting to logon to the XP station in question as a local admin or a/the domain admin. In any case, please try both the local admin and the domain admin and let us know the results.

WAAS 3.5, unable to login to administrator page.

We recently installed WAAS Mobile Server 3.5,the installation was sucessful, all the pre requisite was fulfilled for the installation
But we are unable to log in to the administration page, keep getting the erro invalid username and password.I did some check on the IIS but no results, would appreciate any assistance on this.

After you install the WAAS Mobile Server, you should be able to open the WAAS Mobile Manager Login page and login using the default usernames and password. The default username is admin and password is default
