Login to Solman & R/3

Hi,
When CHARM is implemented developer & Tester can login to R/3 using ugent correction Logon to system.
Means no need to logon seperately for R/3.
But how can I restrict Developer & Tester for direct login to R/3. They are not suppose to login directly & do the work.
When we implement ChaRM does it means that all users have to login to satellite system only through Soluton Manager.
How to control direct login from R/3.
Regards
PK

Hi again,
I'm not sure of what you are asking for. If you want to make the change management process using SolMan only as mandatory you can use the following IMG activity :
SAP Solution Manager --> Scenario-Specific Settings --> Change Request Management --> Standard Configuration --> Change Request Management --> Set Project Assignment of Requests as Mandatory
In that case you can reopen the access to R/3 from SAP logon.
If you want the user to be able to logon to the R/3 system from SolMan only, you will have to develop a specific transaction in SolMan that works like the 'Logon to system' action in ChaRM... I only see those two options, but perhaps someone else does see another one ?
Hope it helps.
Regards,
Stéphane.

  • How to Create Support Message with no SolMan User

    Hi all,
I would like to test if it is possible to create a support message from ECC system, if the same user do not have a SolMan user.
Now, in few other threads, like
Creation of support message in SolMan without having user id in SolMan
Re: Do End User Require Login in Solman to raise Support Messages !!
show to the user there support message list
    e.t.c.
it is clearly stated: it is possible.
I have done the next steps:
    In ECC:
    - created a test user
    - assighned him a "sap_all" profile (and "Z_SAP_SV_FDB_NOTIF_BC_CREATE" role) + user comparasion
    - assighned him a "Z_SAP_S_RFCACL" role + user comparasion
    In Solman:
    - No user created
    - In TX DNO_CUST04 the Field Name "NO_USER_CHECK" is maintained with the value "X".
    - In tx BP business partner is created as a general BP, with valid external SYS ID no (other users with both ECC and SM user are OK), and changed to "employee" with ECC username defined.
Now, the problem is when I try to create a support message as a test user in ECC, I get an error:
"Error in Local Message System: No authorization to logon as trusted system (Trust Message was Not Created"
All I could find is the tread:
    solution maanger issue
and this one is basicly different:
the mentioned user has both ECC and SM user.
And one of the answers was the user must have S_RFCACL roles in BOTH ECC ans SM systems...
In ST22 (in solman) I get error description:
" An RFC call (Remote Function Call) was sent with the invalid user ID
      "TEST_T01230 "
. Or the calling system is not registered as trusted system in the
    target system."
Now, the calling system IS regged as a trusted sys (as I mantioned - other users with both ECC and SM users can send supp. msgs)
So -  the only answer is "invalid user ID".
    The short message is
" No authorization to logon as trusted system (Trusted RC=0)"
and  the trusted return codes ( 0 ) have the following meaning:   Invalid logon data (user ID and client) for the trusting system.
So. how can I perform trusted Logon with no user in SM?
    Thank you in advance,
    cheers
    Nenad

    Hi again,
    thank you for your help.
At first I thought you meant *_back dest. directly in SM, and now I see you ment to use SMSY to go to ECC sys, and maintain the RFC conns on ECC diredtly from SMSY, "clean-up RFC Destinations". Yes, can do
    So:
    The problem is solved.
I deleted the *_back user from ECC to SM, and re-generated the connection with default system pre-defined user SMB_T01. (it is interesting that SU01 reports - user SMB_T01 does not exist)
I even deleted a SRFCACL role from the test user in ECC, and the user was still able to create the support message (certanly he was, as he uses a *:back rfc with SMB_T01to log on to SM)
    So, resume:
To be able to create / send a support message from another system, with no user in SolMan, it is needed:
    - a user in other system with roles needed for everyday work, +  "Z_SAP_SV_FDB_NOTIF_BC_CREATE" role;
    - a not trusted SM_<SID>CLNT<CLNT_NB>_BACK rfc connection from satelite system to SolMan, with defined logon user (with apropriate authorisations) - generated by the system.
    -  the BCOS_CUST table in ECC system should be onfigured like: OSS_MSG W SM_<SID>CLNT<CLNT_NB>_BACK CUST 620 1.0
    - a Business Partner for user in SM with identification number for system from where the massege will be sent from. (the user can send the note with out this condition, but the "created by" field in message will be empty in that case)
    Once again thank you,
    cheers,
    Nenad
    Case closed.

  • Steps to configure solman to approve support packs

I have installed a Solution Manager System.
What are teh steps to be done to connect the SOLMAN system to SAP, so that i can login to SOLMAN to approve Support packs.

    Hi Balaji,
First you have to add the solution in the solution manager you can do
that by transaction 'DSWP' .Then go to transaction smsy and add the
R/3 systems which you have installed. In this transaction smsy, you
have to add the server and the database by giving the necessary details
then it will automatically creates the necessary rfc's.
After doing this you have to go to Transaction 'SOLUTION_MANAGER'
then click on the change management. Then go to maintainance
optimizer. Here it will ask u which solution and then for which system u
                   want to update.
Revert back if you any queries.
    Reward points if helpfull.

    Vamshi.

  • ChaRM - Change Request where to raise? Is it in Satellite  system or Solman

    Hi Friends,
For creating the change request( TCode: charm_create) is it necessary to login to solman & then raise CR ?
Is is possible to raise Change Request in satellite systems ?
If I have done development configuraion in BI & Now I want to move it to QA. What is the process steps for the same?
    Many Thanks
    Praveen K

    hi
Change Request  have to raised in Solman. You might be aware all change requests will be connected to a maintenace project / Implementation project in Solman.
In that project, your satellite system landscape have to be maintained.
refer the below help doc for the process flow
    [http://help.sap.com/saphelp_smehp1/helpdata/en/2b/614e1cb8204f35b477eac703073589/content.htm]
Suppose for doing a configuration change  in your BI system, you have a raise a CR in Solman and choose the appropriate maintenance cycle of BI landscape and continue process. Refer the solman rkt   documents also.

  • Service Desk - Status of messages on Portal

    Hi,
We are using Solution Manager 7.0 and Enterprise Portal 7.0. We are using the Service Desk functionality via Portal.
Is there a way we can show the status of messages to the user on Portal? We do not want to use SAP Transaction iViews to show reports on the Portal.
I saw that there is a Webservice available for an earlier version of Solution Manager. Is there a web service available for Solution Manager 7.0, which can be consumed in Portal to show the status of the message?
    Thanks,
    Priya

Wel now users can access remotely via web using the standard interface or Workcenter for which they dont have to login to solman using SAP GUI
it a web based interfact not only for reporter but processsor too
But if only interested in webservice which are available then check this out

  • Service Desk User access

    Hi Experts,
I want my service desk users login on Solman and they can update Msg status and ther remarks.
so what are auth. object needs on there profile, please suggest.
Can we block users access in such a way , they are not able to do add change on other users issue msg.
bcoz , if i give access on crm_dno_monitor to any user, he may access and process all issue tickets.
    Thanks
    Andrew

    Andree,
Actually we provide variants for crm_dno_monitor.
so they have option of seeing only tickets belonging to themselves only
For e.g create a variant of crm_dno_monitor by choosing mine and then save it and create a ztcode in se93 for the same.
assign this tcode for the user menu to the respective role of the user.
So whn this user logs in and click on the link he sees only mine tickets or tickets belonging to him..he doesnt hav access to crm_dno_monitor.
    Pls assign pts.

  • Service desk message view from ECC

    Hi
I have following queries regarding service desk in solution manager.
    1. Do user need to login into solution manager to see his message status or can he directly see it from ECC.
    2. When a message is created through satellite system support message should display TCode in support message.
    3. In service desk mail (New message/ )attachment of message is not appearing. Currently it visible in solman ticket, As per  requirement  attachment of message should also be mailed.
    4. while creating message end user should not login to solution manager. Communication between ECC and Solman has to automatic
    5. Users should have reference to earlier messages through ecc.
    Thanks

    Mahesh Kumar

You don't need to login to SOLMAN, he can use Workcenter for this to see messages. Please check this below link to know more about Workcenter:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_smehp1/helpdata/en/6a/4b4713fc2e45ad921a20b0831d07a5/content.htm
You can use Authorization object: CRM_TXT_ID to restrict views for the users.
Also, make sure the user has the following roles:
    SAP_SUPPDESK_CREATE
    SAP_SUPPCF_CREATE
    SAP_SMWORK_BASIC
    SAP_SMWORK_INCIDENT_MAN
you can also find security guide from below link:

    Manager
In service desk mail (New message/ )attachment of message is not appearing. Currently it visible in solman ticket, As per  requirement  attachment of message should also be mailed.
In standard system this is not available. You can create development rrequest for this as per Note 11.
    4. while creating message end user should not login to solution manager. Communication between ECC and Solman has to automatic
Check Workcenter as i already explained before.

  • How big effort it is to setup Change Request Management?

We are interested in implementing Change Request Management into our Solution manager 7.0.
What size of an effort in mandays it actually is and what kind of professional roles are required to set it up? Some background information for your responses:
implementation project is already there in Solman (SOLAR01/02) and is already live
satellite system connections within SMSY are already active
no central CTS/CTS+ is currently in use
when having CHARM it is assumed that also CTS+ should be used
So, I guess we are in a typical situation where implementation project has ended and live and support organisation and tools are being setup. There we need CHARM and CTS+.
I have read lots of SDN threads and blogs, but did not get a clear picture how big effort setting up CHARM is. Please note, I not looking for config guides now, just your experiences. Even if am not interested in config guides, could you at least describe the main steps that are necessary in setting up CHARM?

  • Unable to configure saprouttab

    Dear All,
I am in the process of installing saprouter,
i have done all configurations but when i execute the command
    saprouter -r -S 3299 -K "p:CN=SOL, OU=0000861986, OU=SAProuter, O=SAP, C=DE"
it executes fine and reading the saprouttab file, when i execute
when i see the dev_rout file  it says,
    main: pid = 3284, ppid = 0, port = 3299, parent port = 0 (0 = parent is not a saprouter)
    reading routtab: './saprouttab'
when i try to login to solman server using the sap router string it doesn't allow me to login, in the log it displays
i again ran the command saprouter -r , then it says
    ERROR => invalid lines in './saprouttab', see 'dev_rout' [nirout.cpp   7998]
<b>for solution manager server in which iam installing saprouter have two IP's
one is real and other is local,</b>
please tell me how do i make entries in saprouttab based this scenario.
    Regards,
    SM

    Hi Shark,
Have you configured the sap cryptolib if you have
configured that then that's it.Go to SM59 and then
check  the connection for rfc 'SAPOSS' .
If you did not find this rfc then goto OSS1 and
maintain the logon data.It will create the rfc.
Then try to log on in transaction OSS1.If it opens a
pop-up asking where to connect like default or japan
or america. This indicates that your router has been
successfully configured. Before trying this maintain
entry in the routtab like p <your systemipfor which
                  you have configured oss1 > 3201
If you have any further issues revert me back.
    Reward points if helpfull.

    Hi
You cannot generate any test scripts but you can only link the same in solution manager.
Create a script in ecatt and here call the other two scripts or combine them in this one.
once you have a created a combination of scripts just login to solman and goto solar02 here link the third one.
later you can execute the same from solman.

  • Discovery System for Solution Manager

I'm looking for an SAP system I can install or access that has the latest Solution Manager code, with sufficent data so that I can perform practical training exercises.  Unfortunately, there's little scope for experimenting with these systems due to the possible impact on production systems and projects, so I don't want to "play" with any of my customers systems except as a last resort.
I'm open to paying for acces, subject to cost and suitability.
PS  If that last line (about paid access) contravenes SDN policy,  I have no problem wit hsomeone deleting the post and advising me to repost the thread without reference to cmomercial   considerations

    Hi Sudeep,
As per the Quick guide for V3, to login to Solman Client 001, the user /pw - : sap*/admin123
Since the sap* is locked, login with admin/admin in client 001 and unlock the required user account.

  • Monitoring or the Task to the Project Team members in the Project Managemen

    Hi Guys ,
I came across the new requirement of my project . My client is looking for the below functionalities. Please let me know the possibilities.
1.How do you assign a specific task to the Project Team member and how do you know its progress -
    2. If you login from Solman system to other system ( satellite systems ) executing T-codes under Transaction Tab of SOLAR01 , after landing to the satellite system - if we really doesnt have satellite system ids - though able to logged in , if we create any new transaction like - Sales orders , Bilings , etc - on whose name it will be recorded.
    3. What are the standard reports we can get from Solman apart from Solar_eval , Actually looking for the reports for Project status or its progress perspectivie.
    Looking forward for your response
    Thanks in Advance
    Amrita

if we really doesnt have satellite system ids - though able to logged in , if we create any new transaction like - Sales orders , Bilings , etc - on whose name it will be recorded.
are you referring user ids here? i mean you dont have an id in the satellite system but in solution manager you have.
In this case you shouldn't be login to the satellite system. In your Trusted RFC refer check whether current user is enabled or not.
Please note person who is running Tcode from solar01 should have the same user id in satellite with Trusted authorizations on both systems.

  • Testing in QAS or Development System

    Hi everybody,
I have created my Testpackages and assigned the users to them. The testing is already working fine.
Now I discovered that the STWB_WORK also exists in my development system but it does not show the testpackages.
What do I have to do to be able to test directly from there? And if I do, does it automatically transfer all the testdata back to the solution manager?
    Thanks for helping
    Miriam

    Hi
I think you are confused with old R/3 test workbench by checking in ur R/3 or ECC system workbench.
pls ignore the same ...solman is to provide the centralised testing across the landscape whether it is for SAP or Non SAP products using ECATT/QTP or manual
That is why now they dont have to login to individual system for testing they just login to solman execute from here itself whatever the scenario may be...
    I hope it is clarified
