Hi,
We are trying to trasnfer one existing field in MCVBKD ( part of 2LIS_11_VAITM), which is already present in MCVBKD on RHS to LHS. But we are facing the following error
"entries for application 11 still exists in the queue".
even though
- there are no entry in RSA7 for application 11
- we have deleted the init package from BW side
Please help
Rajiv

Hi Rajiv,
Run the V3 update for 11 then delete entries in RSA7.

  • Custom error message in SAP application log

    Is there a way to add a custom error message to the SAP application log without passing the message variables MSGV1, MSGV2, MSGV3, MSGV4 and the Message class and number.
    We want to pass a custom message from the BAPIRET2-MESSAGE without giving it a Message class and number.  The reason for this is that  we are using class based exceptions instead of the traditional message class with errors.  When we catch the class based exception, we take the error text of the exception and put in in the BAPIRET2-message and set the BAPIRET2-TYPE as 'E'.  Now we want to add this to the SAP application log.
    The call to 'BAL_LOG_MSG_ADD' takes a structure BAL_S_MSG which is just like BAPIRET2.  However this function builds the entry to the application log use the message variables MSGV1, MSGV2, MSGV3, MSGV4.  There is no provision to pass in the BAPIRET2 message.
    Add message to application log
      CALL FUNCTION 'BAL_LOG_MSG_ADD'
        EXPORTING
         i_log_handle              = app_log_handle
         i_s_msg                   = log_message
    Thanks,
    Jay

    Hi Jay,
    Did you see <b>BAL_LOG_EXCEPTION_ADD</b>?
    This FM is represented by the structure <b>BAL_S_EXC</b>. This can have various versions as described below:
    <b>Data of BAL_S_EXC Structure  /     Use</b>
    <b>EXCEPTION</b>  /                              Exception class from which an exception text
                                                       is added to the log. This field must be filled.
    <b>MSGTY</b>  /                                     Message type (MSGTY) of a T100 message.
                                                       This field must also be filled for exceptions.
    <b>PROBCLASS,
    DETLEVEL,
    ALSORT, TIME_STMP</b>  /                Message or exception attributes, such as
                                                        problem class (PROBCLASS, for
                                                        example, "very important"), level of detail
                                                        (DETLEVEL, from 1 to 9), sort criterion
                                                        (ALSORT, unrestricted) and timestamp
                                                        (TIME_STMP). These fields can be displayed
                                                        in the log (except TIME_STMP).
    <b>MSG_COUNT</b>   /                            This attribute is not used for exceptions.

  • The custom error message in the bank application is displaying in English

    Hello Team,
    The custom error message for a blank institution number in the bank application is displaying in English when the user is logged in French. See attached screen shot.
    ESS --> Personal Information --> Bank Information.
    Could any one let me know the procedure in solving the error. Helpful answer is highly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Sankar

    Hi,
    sandip is correct, go to SE11 Table T100.
    I did it this way: Searched for (in my case) SPRSL = DE and TEXT = "Bitte Bankschlüssel eingeben" (that's the said error message). With the upcoming result I got the message ID and message Number, these are:
    ARBGB = 'AR' MSGNR = '195'
    ARBGR = '1J' MSGNR ='510'
    Maintain them for your SPRSL and you should be fine.

  • Portion creation - Internal error: application log is not customized (IU15/)

    When we try to create a Portion (E41B) we are getting a message "Internal error: application log is not customized (IU15/)" and a Portion can not be created.
    Does anyone have idea what may be the reason for such message? How to solve the problem and create a Portion?
    In Business Object Repository for SAP Utilities we can see object type "Portion" as well as "Application log IS-U" (ISUIDOCLOG).
    Since these are standard object types it seem to us that application log should be written by Event Viewer (the same as System and Security log). Are we missing something out?
    P.S. A word about our system:
    SAP ERP 6.0 (IDES version) EHP7, OS: Windows server 2012, DB: Oracle (release 11.2.0.3.0) and switch for IS-U is recently activated.
    Postal Regional Structure is successfully imported, Political structure defined, Country specific settings customized, Parameter record defined.

    Problem solved. Note 400322 was very helpful. We defined object IU15 and a appropriate sub objects, after that Portion was created successfully.

  • Application can't use mutiple custom error files?

    I have problems getting custom error files to work in a stand-alone application.
    For different components of my program, I have different custom error files:
      Micro4-errors.txt
      Isabel-errors.txt
      Triggering-errors.txt
    Running in the Labview ADE everything works fine.  But in the .EXE i get undefined errors for some of the error conditions.   It seems that only one of custom error file is being used, and the rest is ignored...
    Does that sound familiar to someone?
    Running Labview 8.5 on Windows XP.

    I know what wrong now. Seems that the files are at the wrong location.    According to http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/6077DBEDA4F9FEE3862571F600449501  they should only be in either errors\ or user.lib\errors\.
    Funny thing....   When I place them in errors\ it still doesn't work.   In the user.lib\errors\ directory, it does work.    So it seems that the documentation & application builder don't agree on that.

  • How to add an Application custom error to the FacesPageLifecycle

    I am trying to implement an error handling framework for an application. I have created the required Execption classes(Extending the JboException class) and added a MyExceptionHandler that extends DCErrorHandlerImpl. I am overriding the reportExecption method and removing the error codes etc.
    When an error case is encountered MyExceptionHandler.reportException is called from the page bean. This does not display the error in the Faces error dialog. I have noticed that MyExceptionHandler.getDisplayMessage is not invoked for my the custom application errors.
    Other JboExecption generated by the database constraints or validation errors are shown in the error dialog and there is a call to the getDisplayMessage after the call to reportException in the MyExceptionHandler.
    Should I explicitly call FacesPageLifecycle.addError...or something similar? If so what is the right place to do this.
    Please point me to any available documentation if available.
    Thanks,
    Sireesha

    That custom error handler is generally to handle errors thrown by your Model project. The place I first noticed this is when I tried to catch and specially handle the infamous token validation exception (even though that's a JBO exception, it's thrown by the databindings, not by the Model project...which is kind of unfortunate, I think; they should have used something in the oracle.adf.model package, which is where the other databinding implementations are stored). To really catch all exceptions, you have to handle them directly in the FacesPageLifecycle, not the ErrorHandler.
    Edited by: Avrom Roy-Faderman on Oct 2, 2008 1:32 PM
    Wait...were you also calling handler.reportException() directly? You're definitely not supposed to do that. Just throw your exceptions, and the appropriate functions will be called automatically as part of the lifecycle. This is independent of the other problem--that ErrorHandler never gets used for exceptions thrown from outside the business services layer.

  • Error in creating connection of worklist in custom webcenter application.

    Hello All,
    I am creating a custom webcenter application and i need BPEL worklist connection to be set up in that application.I have created the connection from Jdeveloper as:-
    In ResourcePallete-> new -> connection->worklist and has given the worklist url as well as the name of the connection.
    In TestConnection -> success!!
    And then i had dragged the worklist region from taskflow but in runtime it is showing as :-
    The Worklist Service is unavailable .
    *     Warning*
    *     Either no BPEL Worklist connections are configured, or there is an issue with the existing connection configuration. Verify that at least one BPEL Worklist connection is configured for this application, and that no unresolved ''ConfigurationExceptions'' exceptions are logged.*
    and in log it is giving :-
    *<WebCenterConfig><getConnection> Connection not found SOA Connection*
    *<BPELConnectionUtil><getWorklistConnections> The BPEL Connection named 'SOA Connection' was not present in the connections.xml file. This will prevent the Worklist service from being able to interact with the required this BPEL connection.*
    I am using only the Jdeveloper and i am having webcenter framework extensions in it.Also I have created the ADF Security but SOA server is on another machine. Are there any other steps which i had missed??
    Please suggest !!!!
    Thanks.

    Hi Deepak,
    You can check standard configuration in client 000.
    Meanwhile you can use this settings:
    ISTYP TPLKZ FLTYP NUMKI NUMKE
    C     AO_GP     A     01     OC
    D     AO_GP     G     02     OC
    This is where you define structure indicator for isu technical location category.
    ISTYP correspond to the type of technical location in ISU, C for connection object and D for device location
    The content of TPLKZ is defined in the following menu in SPRO.
    Plant Maintenance and Customer Service
    Master Data in Plant Maintenance and Customer Service
    Technical Objects
    Functional Locations
    Create Structure Indicator for Reference Locations/Functional Locations
    Hope it helps,

  • What's the recommended practice on logging errors from custom built applications hosted on Terminal Servers.

    Hi,
    We have custom built applications which are now hosted on Windows Terminal Servers.
    We are looking for recommendation on logging. Is it
    advisable to use a shared NAS folder or make use of event log on individual servers?
    Thanks,

    Hi Dharmesh,
    Thanks for responding.
    This is a large deployment involving hundreds of applications and servers. My responsibility is to come up with development guidelines for applications hosted on TS. I have gone through the guidelines
    posted by Microsoft @
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa383490(v=vs.85).aspx. But it didn't cover the topic on logging.
    Do you know whether Microsoft has published any other document on this topic.

  • Custom Error Messages

    I've read numerous posts and blog entries regarding customizing oracle error messages to provide a more user friendly output. However, I have a slightly different scenario here that I'm hoping for some help on.
    I'm building a new application that sits on an existing database. Within the database there are thousands of tables and triggers containing validation that raise application errors for messages we've created, for example raise_aplication_error(-20101,'SSL-01010'). In a separate table we have a list of our error codes and messages. In forms we have a function that picks up our code from the error message and translates to our message which is then displayed to the user. I need to do something similar in APEX.
    I've created a very simple test table, trigger and page that generates an error when you try to update or delete it. And I've created a customer error page (page 200) to display the user friendly message. I'd like to populate an item on this page with our error code if it's there.
    In the Error Page Template section of the template I added the following code which searches for SSL or QMS in the message:
    <input type="hidden" value="#MESSAGE#" id="P0_ERRMSG"></input>
    <script type="text/javascript">
    str=document.getElementById("P0_ERRMSG").value
    search_term = "SSL";
    str_check = str.indexOf( search_term );
    if (str_check==-1) {
    search_term = "QMS";
    str_check = str.indexOf( search_term );
    if (str_check!=-1) {
    str_val = str.substring(str_check,str_check + 9)
    url_location = "f?p=&APP_ID.:200:&APP_SESSION.::NO::P200_ERROR_MESSAGE:"+str_val
    window.location = url_location;
    url_location = "f?p=&APP_ID.:200:&APP_SESSION.::NO::P200_ERROR_MESSAGE:"+str
    window.location = url_location;
    </script>
    The error displayed on the screen, without this template change, is:
    "ORA-20001: Error in multi row delete operation: row= 1, ORA-20101: SSL-01010 ORA-06512: at "SWIFT_OWNER.APEX_CONS_TEST_BTRG", line 3 ORA-04088: error during execution of trigger 'SWIFT_OWNER.APEX_CONS_TEST_BTRG', delete from "SWIFT_OWNER"."APEX_CONS_TEST" where "ID" = :p_pk_col"
    As you can see our error code is contained in this output.
    However, #MESSAGE# is just "multi row operation failed" which means our error code is never picked up. I can't see how to access the full error message in the template.
    If there is an easier way of doing this I'm open to suggestions.
    Thanks
    Sara

    I think I've resolved this myself (with reference to a few different forum posts!) by changing the javascript in the Error Page Template to:
    <script language="javascript">
    function getElementsByClass(searchClass,node,tag) {
    var classElements = new Array();
    if ( node == null ) node = document;
    if ( tag == null ) tag = '*';
    return node.getElementsByTagName(tag);
    function show_error_text() {
    errorElements = getElementsByClass("ErrorPageMessage",document,"div");
    if (errorElements.length > 0 ) {
    errorText = errorElements[0].innerHTML;
    search_term = "SSL";
    str_check = errorText.indexOf(search_term);
    if (str_check==-1) {
    search_term = "QMS";
    str_check = errorText.indexOf( search_term );
    if (str_check > 0) {
    errorText = errorText.substr(str_check);
    errorText = errorText.substr(0,errorText.indexOf("ORA")-1);
    errorText = errorText.replace(/#/g,"~");
    url_location = "f?p=&APP_ID.:200:&APP_SESSION.::NO::P200_ERROR_MESSAGE:"+errorText;
    window.location = url_location;
    show_error_text();
    </script>
    We know our error codes will always start with SSL or QMS. So this will pass the bit of the Oracle error we're interested in to P200_ERROR_MESSAGE or the full Oracle error if it hasn't been raised by some of our code.

  • How to configure custom error page in WebServer 6.1 if instance is down

    Hi ,
    I have deployed an application on port 82.
    If the instance is down, want to configure custom error page in Sun One Webserver 6.1 so that the it displays a customised message rather than browser displaying its custom DNS error page.
    In web.xml, configured the 404/500 error messages, but if the instance is down, my web application does not receive the request. So it should be defined at the root level.Where to configure the same?
    Thanks for the help in advance.

    You can use Error function "send-error" http://docs.sun.com/source/817-1834-10/crobjsaf.html#wp20007
    It has an example
    Error fn=send-error code=401 path=/sun/server61/docs/errors/401.html

  • Customizing Error Message in Jsp app.?

    Hi,
    In my small application created by JDev10g wizard, I would like to customize errors received from database on dml operations before showing on jsp page. How/Where could I capture the error?
    Please advise.
    Thanks

    I have the same functionality with the automatic commit in the Datahandler onEvent (update/delete and create). I ran into the same "OnEvent" problem. I think the problem is the result of having the "<jbo:Row>" tag inside of a try/catch block. From my experiments, I was able to determine that the errors almost always related to some sort of row handling. They always happened after the code within the try/catch block failed. I found that it would work fine with just the commit inside the try catch block. As soon as I tried to catch an error in the "<jbo:Row>" tag everything went screwy. This is no good considering that I have custom errors that are thrown when you try to create/update an attribute (before commiting!).
    So far, I have been able to work around this somewhat. I don't get any errors if I create a Row object programitically without the Oracle convenience tags. I tested this with the OnEvent(Delete) function because it is the easiest to replicate. Here is the code that I have that works for me:
    <jbo:OnEvent name="delete">
    <% // get the row from the parameter jboRowKey which is created automatically when you have addRowKey=true on your URL/Form event tag (default behaviour)
    Row rowDelete = ds.getRowFromKey(params.getParameter("jboRowKey")); %>
    <% try { %>
    // call the remove() method of the entity you can overide this method if you want (I have). To do this, check the relevant box from the entity's java tab.
    rowDelete.remove();
    // commit this action right away
    ds.getApplicationModule().getTransaction().commit();
    } catch (JboException ex) { %>
    // Catching those JboExceptions we created in the EntityImpl.java file
    <h3 class="error">Error</h3>
    <%=ex%>
    <% // since it failed, rollback the transaction. Since I am commiting everything this will only rollback the delete command. I call it just in case the framework doesn't do this somewhere else! :)
    ds.getApplicationModule().getTransaction().rollback();
    } %>
    </jbo:OnEvent>
    I haven't been able to repeat this for the update or create OnEvents because they are much more complicated. Let me know if something like this works for you! Also let me know if you find a way to do this for create/update without being far too complicated.
    If you are interested to find out what the <jbo:Row> tag does (to replicate it's behaviour perhaps?) you can find the code. It should be located in this file:
    C:\<jdevDir>\BC4J\src\bc4jhtmlsrc.zip
    If you open it you will find RowTag.java (or something) and that is what JDeveloper runs when you use the Row tag.
    Hope this helps a bit!
